And if I go to Burger King, if I get an order of onion rings, there's always a couple

of french fries mixed in there with them.

Oh, he's, but if I get the french fries, there's never any onion rings mixed in there.

Are they in the same pile or aren't they?

You know, sometimes you go to McDonald's and Burger King.

Sometimes the people that work there, they're sharp and run the ball.

Other times you just gotta wonder, you know, you gotta wonder what that hiring interview

was like.

Please, come in, sit down.

Can you mumble?

Can you mumble without making eye contact?

Would you be willing to go for round with your coworkers while the customer grows impatient?

Great, I think you'd be good candidate for a management training program.

We're gonna have you watch an eight minute training video then we'll put you on the front counter.

People get their own drinks now, you just gotta hand them a cup.

But when you hand them a cup, make sure your fingers are sticking down inside the cup.

That's our policy.

And just give them a bag of food and you're done.

There's no need to say thank you because we wrote that on the trash box.

We'll tell the folk of the village, Jesus is sleeping in his cradle.

Oh, beautiful is the mother.

Oh, beautiful is her son.

Oh, is her son.

Oh, I should wake in Jesus' harsh touch.

See the best he's done, cursed us.

See the best he's seen.

And good morning.

I'm Don Rosen.

I want to thank you for joining me on this Tuesday morning.

Thank you.

It's 6-08.

Looking for a beautiful, sunny, day with a height of 36.

Barney Clonney tonight, loads round 24 tomorrow, sunny again with a height of 38 degrees.

Right now a beautiful clear sky.

You might see a shooting star or two out there.

You never know.

The skies are pretty clear.

32 degrees in the Racine area now.

There you go.

And a very pleasant good morning again.

6-09.

Now today is December 12th.

But yesterday was December 11th.

It was dubbed Breakup Day.

Back in 2008, after someone analyzed Facebook status updates and found a ton of people break

up exactly two weeks before Christmas.

And also found their tended to be more breakups on Mondays in general.

So yesterday, the 11th was a double whammy this year.

Experts think there are a few reasons for it.

First of all, holidays are pretty stressful.

You might be having second thoughts about that person meeting your family.

And believe it or not, a surprising number of people will break up just to get out of buying someone a gift.

The day of the year, you're at least like you to dump is Christmas day.

Because it's just plain cruel.

But don't assume you're safe if you make it to the 25th.

Well, that gives you confidence and sleep the sleep of angels knowing that.

Taylor Swift, the eras tour already grossed $1.04 billion making it the highest grossing tour of all time.

It's not even over yet.

Could end up taking in $2 billion by the end of the year.

End of next year.

Now think about this.

She had fought.

She said a billboard record, by the way, she had five albums of the top 10.

She had, let's see, she was time magazine's person of the year.

She was one of the most powerful women in America, according to Forbes.

She just set the all time record for bringing in money on a concert tour at her movie, the eras tour,

was the highest grossing concert film in history.

Is there anything else she has to accomplish?

I think in her profession is kind of accomplished at all.

That's something.

Congratulations to Taylor Swift.

I mean, she writes her own music.

She publishes her own music.

She performs her own music.

She puts together her shows.

And what am I going to tell you?

She is the triple way.

Good for her.

Congratulations, Taylor Swift.

Two years ago, this is a very nice story.

Two years ago, an extremely frugal guy in India had a name Terry Conn.

He passed away.

Now everybody thought this guy had no money.

Actually had $13 million in the bank.

And he left it all to charity, but he didn't say which charity.

He is well said, just give it to charity.

So his lawyer stepped into help.

He started cold calling charities and asking them, what would you do with a million dollars?

Around a dozen different nonprofits will now split that $13 million, including groups that help teachers, veterans, and victims of domestic violence.

You know what I think?

I think Terry Conn would have been pleased.

I don't know if you're too into artificial intelligence as a scaryable little bit.

Yeah, maybe it should.

Sand is using AI to send messages to kids now through a company called Handwritten.

Parents can put in a good word for their kids online.

And Handwritten messages are sent back maybe for free.

And I say maybe because the first 6,000 requests to free, then they'll begin charging a small fee.

As of the night before last, there was 1900 free codes left.

So I fast try to get one of them.

Okay.

A guy faces charges for groping random women on the subway.

You got to check out this guy's defense.

He says he accidentally touched her by mistake while trying to pick her pocket.

That's his defense.

Some people of all the luck and you kind of hate people like this.

A guy in New York won $10 million in the lottery last year.

That's pretty nice, huh?

Just won another 10 million last week.

Now, I don't hate the guy.

I just want to be his new best friend.

That's what I want to be.

All right.

We're nostalgic about all sorts of stuff from movies and TV shows to how simple life was

before the internet.

Oh, I agree.

But what's something you think will be nostalgic 20 years from now in the year 2043?

Someone pulled thousands of Americans.

You were the top answers.

Smart phones.

52% think will be nostalgic about him.

Like when we had those iPhones before they implanted it directly into our heads.

Remember the bag phones that were out?

Remember those big bag phones used to carry around with you?

We thought that was the highest form of technology we can possibly have.

Now we're nostalgic about him.

Oh, yes.

Remember the bag phones, remember those giant walkie-talkie-type phones?

Oh, yeah.

Remember my dad had one.

How about trending music on TikTok?

43% think that will be nostalgic someday.

Working from home.

34% said, yeah, that's not going to be nostalgic.

So I guess we're all going to be back in the office by 2043.

No more working from home.

Parents are angry at Google.

And maybe they've got something here.

They don't like the way Google answers a common question parents get this time of year.

Without revealing too much, let's just say Google answered, no, he's not.

You can figure it out from there.

Some parents want Google to change that answer.

It spits out at the top of the page when you ask about, you know who?

They just don't think it should be the first thing you see.

Maybe I think parents might have a story there to tell.

In a new survey, 34% of people say traveling home for the holidays does not count as a vacation.

In fact, 71% say they probably need a vacation after all the family time.

You know, I wish I had family time.

I really do.

Most of my family, you know, I have a brother and a sister-in-law living in Kenosha now.

And my brother-in-law, one lives in Arizona, one lives in Virginia.

My parents are gone, my unloads are gone.

And so we don't have much family.

My daughter lives in Florida.

And my stepson lives here in Racine.

But yeah, I wish I could have a big family gathering with everybody.

I do miss that.

We used to go over my grandma's house for big family gatherings.

Now, she lived in an apartment in Queens, New York.

It was not big.

She used to squeeze about 25 people in that apartment.

She used to squeeze the table we sat at to eat, stretched from the kitchen on out through the,

through the, I guess, Fourier area.

I don't know what you call it, right through the living room to the end of the living room.

And that was it.

You had a sit at the table.

There was nowhere else to go.

I mean, you can go in the bedroom and sit down if you want to do.

But there was nowhere else to go in the house.

But those were good family gatherings.

It was just very crowded in the apartment in Queens.

I mean, we stretched out a little bit, maybe.

But yeah, I do miss that.

I do miss it.

I sleep with a fan blowing on my face.

And I think, I think I figured out the other day, why?

Now, a lot of people have a fan blowing on their face when they sleep at night.

I have a little tidy clip on fan on the bed.

It drives my wife nuts.

But I do have the clip on fan there.

And since I'm a little kid about eight, nine years old,

I've always had a fan blowing on my face when I sleep.

And I think I figured it out the other day.

My father's aunt Jean and uncle Harry lived in Brooklyn.

And at Christmas time once, we went to visit them.

And they lived in a tall row house.

And they lived in a tall place.

And we used to play in there.

We used to love playing upstairs.

We were as dark and my brother and I and some of our cousins played up there.

And the way home, you remember the cars that had those little triangle windows in the back?

Remember those little tiny air windows used to open up little triangles?

I remember once driving home and the air was blowing on my face.

And it felt so good and I dozed off on the way home with the air blowing on my face.

And I think that is why to this day, I've got to have a fan blowing on my face.

And it was at Christmas time.

And we used to love driving home, seeing all the Christmas lights.

But I remember opening that little triangle window.

And I think that's what started the whole ball of wax rolling.

Passion of Geographic released its list of the most astonishing scientific discoveries of 2023.

They include a brain decoder that can translate your thoughts.

They really want your thoughts translated.

I don't think I want people knowing what I'm thinking.

Could you imagine you would have no friends in the world.

Once a friend knew what you were really thinking about them, they'd drop you like a hot potato.

So I don't think we want people thinking about our thoughts.

How about your boss, Benjamin called into the office and he's reading your thoughts.

He'd be fired.

Everybody'd be fine. Nobody'd be working anymore.

There's a movie coming out about a plane that crashes into the ocean

and the survivors have to fight off a shark or sharks that got into the plane.

It's called No Way Out.

And somehow they missed the title.

It was just perfect sharks on a plane.

How do they miss that title instead of No Way Out?

And finally, amazing news.

A mom and a two kids get hit by a car in Utah on Tuesday.

But survived after 20 high schoolers happen to be standing nearby and lifted the car off them.

The mom and her two year old son were stuck underneath it.

But the students were able to lift it high enough to get them out.

She and both children were injured, but she'd recovered nicely.

A doctor said it's amazing.

The kids are still alive.

I think it's amazing.

They're having to be somebody standing nearby, like 20 high schoolers.

It was strong enough to lift that car off them.

It was meant to be, I guess, huh?

618 at WRJ on a beautiful sunny day today.

You're going to love it.

Highs near 36.

It's a little clouds tonight.

Cloudy lows around 24 and sun shining tomorrow with a high near 38 degrees.

618 at WRJN.

Well, we've got a clear sky on 32 degrees.

1,400 a.m.

99.1 and the, excuse me, 99.9 and 98.1 FM.

Old town radio refreshed.

That's WRJN.

I'm Don Rosen.

Keep it right here.

And the mountains in reply.

And good morning from WRJN.

It's 620.

I'm Don Rosen.

I want to thank you for joining us here on this Tuesday morning.

How many days still Christmas?

Let me do the math here.

It's 12 to 9 at 10, 11, 12, 13, 13 days.

Hey, I graduated high school.

I went to college.

I can figure that out.

Someone in Pennsylvania just returned a library book.

120 years overdue.

That's kind of be a record of some sort.

A guy named Horace Short.

Checked it out of the year 1904.

He obviously no longer is with us.

But could have faced a stiff fine.

25 cents a day, meaning Horace would owe $10,910.

But the library's new policy is to cap fines at 10 bucks.

You know what, though, a lot of those libraries say we're just happy to get it back.

And it's in great condition too.

That's nice.

Hey, coming up this morning.

I forget to mention it's seven, those six this morning will be former mayor, John Dickert.

Now we're going to touch on John's mayoral time in office.

But we're going to talk about water.

And I know you're going to say, well, we're talking about water for an hour.

Yes, you will be astonished to hear what John Dickert has to say about.

After he left his job as mayor, that's what he worked with water.

And I think you'll be a little surprised by some of the things you hear.

That's coming up at 706 this morning.

It's 622 right now with a sunny day forecast and a hind air 36 degrees.

Got a survey here, 31% of people admitted to exercising less in winter, no kidding.

The top excuses aren't too cold as opposed to summer when the time excuse was.

It's too hot.

It's too dark.

I have less energy.

Hibernation mode kicks in at rather stay in and watch TV.

I'm less body conscious in the winter because we wear more layers of clothing.

Well, we do come up with good excuses only.

We are good at that.

A poll by dating.com found 71% of its users would not buy someone a gift for the holidays unless they've been dating for more than seven months.

Really?

38% also said that if they don't get an appropriate gift this year, they'll dump the person.

Nice to know where there's no materialistic feelings there.

43% of people said they've agreed not to buy each other gifts.

62% of those people bought something anyway and got nothing in return.

If I'm dating somebody for a few weeks, I think I'd buy them a little Christmas gift.

You don't have to buy them a diamond ring.

Maybe a free happy meal or something like that.

70% of people say they look forward to the holiday season all year long.

81% say they'd be willing to scrap their traditional plans just to take a nice vacation.

The trip could still be a family vacation, but isn't just about abandoning extended family and friends.

It's more about dodging the usual stresses of the holiday season and celebrating it a fresh new way of course.

It's not because it's winter vacation usually involve travel itineraries, crowds and navigating unfamiliar areas.

Things to bring their own kind of stresses and don't forget a lot of people are thinking just like you.

I remember one year my mother and father.

This is when they had lots of money.

They took my brother and his wife and me and my wife and they took us to Puerto Rico for Christmas.

I never spent Christmas in a warm climate before and we're sitting poolside and Christmas carols are playing and I'm just not used to that.

I grew up in a cold climate and it's been most of my life like here in Wisconsin, the cold climate.

The out there sand is getting sunstroke and wearing sunglasses.

That was kind of interesting.

Then we spent in...

Oh, what's the name of that island?

We went to...

Oh, I can't think of the name of the island.

Oh, I'll think of it in a second.

Anyway, we spent New Year's day there, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Again, I never spent it in a warm...

Santa Domingo, that's just Santa Domingo.

I never spent it in a warm climate before.

It was very strange because I'm just not used to that.

I'm used to cold weather and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

So that's kind of different, but it was nice.

And the reason it was nice was my parents paid the whole bill.

Odd, but true.

You're ready for this one?

There's an actual medical condition for when a song gets stuck in your head and just won't leave.

It's not called earworm.

It's actually called musical tinnitus, like tinnitus, but they pronounce it tinnitus.

I think it's stuck in your head.

I do that all the time and my problem is I'm sleeping at night and I can hear the song in my head while I'm sleeping and it wakes me up

and I just can't get it out of there.

I try to think of another song, but the old one just keeps coming back.

91% of senior managers agree most companies have loose in their workplace rules over the last decade.

The top things that used to be unacceptable, but now it seemed to be okay.

Visible tattoos, casual clothing and weird hairstyles.

My daughter's got a bunch of tattoos, but she got them in such a way that if she puts on a nice blouse

which used to work in an office, you wouldn't see them.

And that's when she used to, you know, they tattoos not frowned upon.

But they prefer them not showing.

So she got them that you can't see them when the blouse is on.

That's she puts on summer wear and stuff.

You can see them.

But she was pretty smart when she gets a whole bunch of them.

She wasn't proud.

I'm not getting anymore.

Then she's over at my pool, had a pool at a condo.

I stayed at that.

And I see all these tattoos.

Oh, yeah, I got that one the other day.

I said, just thought you weren't going to get anymore.

That's not my business, but 82% of office workers say they are stressed at work.

You're the top thing stressing us out at the workplace,

being overloaded with busy work, not being able to unplug when we're at home,

a bad boss, conflicts with coworkers, not having enough paid time off,

commuting and poor health benefits.

Only once did I have such a bad boss I had to quit.

It was at a station I worked at.

He's no longer with us.

He passed away, but I'm going to mention his name.

But he made life miserable for me.

And when I quit, he said, well, how can we get you to stay?

And my first thought was, you leave.

He said, I say, well, double my salary.

I just threw that out there.

And he said, if I doubled your salary, would you stay and be happy?

And I said, I'd stay, but I probably wouldn't be happy.

And he said this, well, I thought it was time for you to leave anyway.

Great.

I'm out of here.

And then he got fired shortly after I left.

If I would have hung in there another month, he would have been gone.

And so my old, one of my old supervisors said, please call me.

He's feeling bad at home.

He's not being happy.

He just got fired.

I said, well, how do you think I feel?

I had to leave because of him.

He said, do it from me.

So I called a bump and he said, hi, Jack.

It's done.

Oh, done.

Nice to hear from you.

I said, well, I'm sorry.

What happened?

But I'll be talking to you.

That's the guy I'm supposed to consult the guy I quit over.

Hey, nine out of 10 people say they have resolutions or goals for their career for 2024.

Here they are.

They're the usual get a raise, learn a new work related skill, get a promotion, get a raise,

be more productive at work, get a raise.

And look for a new job.

I guess if you don't get that raise, right?

Okay.

I was just thinking of something here.

What's the worst thing a guest has done while they were staying with you?

A recent discussion.

A reddit had some disease like someone's uncle who tried to fix a computer at a dishwasher

that were not broken and he broke them.

And a weirdo who took one bite out of every single apple in the house.

These are, these are friends and relatives you're talking about.

Nine of things.

So at 628 at WRTN sunny today with a height of 36 degrees.

Part of the cloudy lows 24 tonight.

The outlook for tomorrow sunshine with a high near 38 degrees.

Right now get a clear sky of 32 degrees.

I'm Don Rosen.

Thanks for joining us at WRJ and Radio.

Home town radio refreshed.

It's been a while.

Jack Frost nipping at your nose.

You tied cows, being sung by choir.

And folks dressed up like esquimones.

Everybody knows.

I don't know.

Help to make the season dry.

Tiny tots with their eyes all a glow.

We'll find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way.

He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his flame.

And every mother's child is gonna spy.

To see a reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering the central phrase.

To kids from one to ninety two.

Although it's been said many times, many ways.

Merry Christmas to you.

You know, Nat King Cole was also an anchor.

He's done a bunch of movies.

But I think his most famous one was Cat Balloon.

It was a 1960s comedy with Lee Marvin, Gene Fonda.

And Michael Callan, and he co-starred with Stubby Kay in that film.

And he played a really pivotal role.

They sang the narration throughout the movie, if you remember.

That was his last movie.

He passed away shortly thereafter after a film, Cat Balloon.

Great performer, Nat King Cole.

I'm so I'm offering the central phrase.

To kids from one to ninety two.

Although it's been said many times, many ways.

Merry Christmas to you.

I mentioned before that song was written by Mel Tormé, who was in town here performing.

At the Christmas House for Cancer on Main Street.

He did that one year.

And I know by reading about him, that this song is written in Palm Springs, California at a very hot day.

And it was just so hot that he started writing down lyrics to cool them off.

And the song came from that, that very day.

I'm in the songwriting partner, put the polish on it.

And we have a Christmas classic.

I'm Don Rosen.

I want to thank you for joining me here at 638 W R J N Radio.

Sunshine today with the high near 36.

It's clear 32 degrees right now.

We have former Mayor John Dickard coming in to talk about water at 7 o'clock.

It's not going to be boring.

I guarantee you your ears are going to be stuck to this radio when you start hearing what

did John has to say about water.

We've talked about this.

I talked off the air with him about it the other day.

And I just wanted to hear so much more about it.

If you remember the movie, and we're going to talk about this later, the big short.

Have you seen that film?

About the guy who predicted the big downfall in the housing market and the collapse of some big firms on Wall Street

that just out of nowhere collapsed.

Goldman, I think it's Goldman Sachs collapsed.

He predicted it.

He also, at the end of the movie, said his next project is going to be on water.

And I remember people in theaters at water.

What's happening with this guy knew about the collapse of the housing industry and the collapse of Goldman Sachs.

Now he says water.

We're going to find out with former Mayor John Dickard coming up at 7 o'clock this morning.

All right.

Today you're going to be productive.

I guarantee it.

People are most productive at work on Tuesdays.

Least productive on Thursdays and Fridays.

They also found out we're least productive after 4 p.m.

and most productive between 10 and noon.

When I had my heart surgery about 12 years ago, my wife wanted the surgery done on a Tuesday.

And this is why?

Because people are most productive on Tuesdays.

So I had my heart surgery on Tuesday morning.

You know, one of them Monday because they're hung over from the weekend.

Not hung over, you know, with booze, but just exhausted from the weekend.

You don't want Friday.

They're in a hurry to get out.

So Tuesday was the perfect day and that's where I had my heart surgery.

And it must have been okay because I'm talking to you this morning.

All right.

From the good ideas file, a grandma in Oklahoma is going viral after she put up a Craigslist post

asking if anyone needed the grandma for Christmas.

I feel so bad about that.

And I feel happy about it at the same time.

I mean, I don't know if she's got her own grandchildren.

But does anybody need a grandma for Christmas?

Oh, I want to cry when I read that.

Now, that's an older story from I got this from the files from 2019.

I hope she found someone that needed the grandma for Christmas.

Oh, I love that story.

Someone came up with a way to never fold a fitted sheet again.

And I don't know if this is a good idea.

Instead of keeping spares folded in the closet,

put all your fitted sheets on the bed at once.

Then remove the top layer when it's dirty and start using the one underneath it.

And that's fine and dandy.

But what if somebody's got an accident on the bed and spills something or worse?

All your sheets are gone because they're not waterproof.

It's going to sink down to every sheet jam on the bed.

So I don't know if that's a good idea or not.

The top four, most annoying phone and social media things we deal with around the holidays.

People bragging showing off their gifts on social media.

People boasting on social media where they've traveled for the holidays.

Replying to holiday messages from people you never talk to the rest of the year.

And people bragging online about holiday events and experiences.

You know, I'm trying to remember when I had my condo,

and this is between, you know, wives,

I spent a lot of holidays by myself.

And kind of felt a little bad.

But you know, I used to find something on TV or a movie to watch or go to the movies.

And I got around it because people spend time with their relatives.

And growing up in my neighborhood, I couldn't play with my friends on Christmas

around Christmas because they were all celebrating with their relatives.

They even left town or so it was kind of lonely around Christmas time for me.

Anyway, nothing with my problems.

Got an office holiday party coming up.

You're a five's tips to survive that office holiday party this year.

First of all, don't skip it.

Remember that harassment holiday, excuse me, harassment policies still apply.

So be careful who you touch and what you say to people.

Eat something before you go so you don't look like a pig at the party.

Use the party to network too, but don't talk shop the whole time.

And don't shut down the bar.

All right.

The top three things that caused the most stress between couples over the holidays.

Money, of course.

People just start spending like there's no tomorrow.

And the bills come in in March and April and you got to pay them too much family time.

And being forced to spend time with your in-laws.

I wish I could spend time with my in-laws.

I mentioned yesterday I never met my father in law.

He passed away in 1976.

I would love to spend time with him.

I would love to.

He's a Marine.

And I just I never got to meet him before.

And I'd love to spend the holidays with him.

Not the only person who hasn't started Christmas shopping yet.

As of today, 31% of us haven't bought a single gift for anybody.

That's me.

I haven't purchased anything yet.

I've had to start cracking on that.

Only 11% are completely done with their shopping.

I know what to get.

But since I know what to get, I'm putting it off and putting it off and putting it off.

And I probably shouldn't do something like that.

What's the worst Christmas present you've ever gotten?

Here are some of the best ones we heard of.

An unemployed guy.

And this is not a bad gift.

And it's kind of a hint.

You got to stack a job applications from his parents.

That's not a bad gift for the new year.

It's not a toy, but it's kind of a hint from your parents.

You know, get a job and get out of the house already.

How do you react to a bad Christmas gift?

I never got a bad one.

I've got stuff that I wasn't, you know, I didn't really need, but it wasn't a bad gift.

40% of people in this survey say, fake it.

Pretend you like it.

That's what I do.

The survey also found the average bad gift cost $68.

25% of people have bought something for someone they knew the person probably wouldn't like.

Why would you spend that kind of money to get even with somebody?

I mean, that's not a, that's not nice.

It's not a good idea either.

It's a waste of money.

All right.

Got house guests coming over for the holidays.

Yeah.

Okay.

I wish I did.

Here are the most annoying things those house guests can do.

Arrive unannounced without an invitation.

They just show up.

Snoop around the house.

Break or damage something.

Leave behind a mess when they're gone.

Be too loud.

Smoke.

I remember once we had friends over when I lived in Brown deer and they started smoking.

I said outside with it.

I had no problem telling him to get out of the house with that smoke.

Leave a mess in the bathroom.

Stay up late watching TV with the volume cranked up.

Go out and come back drunk.

I'd be too demanding.

I wouldn't want any house guests hearing that list.

I do survey as people what intangible gift they could give somebody

in their life for the holidays this year.

Now, these are intangibles things you can't buy at the store.

The top five are good health, which you can give somebody.

I'll tell you the story in a minute.

Peace of mind.

Time.

Patience.

And rest.

All right.

You can't get good health.

My wife did that.

She got me a, they went on sale of the hospital where she worked.

It's got me a heart exam.

And she bought it on sale.

I think it was $125 for the heart exam.

And I got it.

And because I got it, they found out I needed a new valve put in my heart,

which saved my life.

So that gift, and I tell everybody, that gift my wife gave me,

that Christmas, saved my life.

So you can give someone the gift of good health.

And she didn't know anything about it.

She just said, you know, I'm getting in my heart exam.

But look what it led to.

And the surgeon said to me, when I had, we got the results.

I said, well, how bad is it?

He said, if you do nothing, you got six months to a year to live.

What are we doing?

I can five minutes.

Now that I get that information.

So you can give the good, give the good health.

Time.

I just saw a meme the other day.

I just cried when I saw it.

And if I tell you about it, I'm probably going to get tearied again.

It was a man hugging a dog, an old man hugging an old dog.

And he said, I can protect you against anything except time.

And that's so true.

We can protect anybody from just about anything nowadays.

But you can't protect them against time.

Imagine if you could.

That'd be a great gift.

And you can't give somebody the gift of rest.

I mean, it's a nice trip to Hawaii.

You would do it.

Don't give them the island where volcanoes are erupting.

But give them a nice gift of rest.

Now I'm ulterior after hearing thinking about that meme.

And you know what?

I know it makes me cry and everything when I see it.

But I say that on my phone, I look out of the lot.

I'm like, why are you looking at that?

I'm feeling terrible.

Because I had all my dogs are gone.

And it's true.

You can give them all the protection of the world.

You can give them all the vet care.

You can give anything.

The pills, the good food, the walks.

But you can't protect them.

And the same thing with humans.

You can't protect them against time.

Everything else you can do.

Hi.

Back in the 80s, they were all the rage.

I remember they were afraid to stock them on the show, so keeping them in the storeroom

because people were going nuts over cabbage patch kids.

Could you believe they were just going nuts about that kind of stuff?

Cabbage patch kids.

Now, I mean, you can get all you want.

Nobody's fighting over them anymore.

What's the shortest but funniest joke you know?

You're a two of them.

For sale, parachute.

Spoken like true people that don't have to drive in it at five o'clock in the morning.

I don't have to shovel it. You know, I would love to have snow too if I didn't have to leave the house all day long.

I'd say that bring on 24 inches. What do I care?

So we'll be talking with the mayor about that.
