Is our President a Russian asset? According to one report, yes- the report alleges he was recruited with the codename Krasnov. That's horrifying news. And made all the more pertinent as Trump continues to align his interests with Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin. Trump's planned trip to Moscow in May to celebrate a Russian national holiday with Putin leaves us similarly concerned. Not just us lefties say this- the Wall Street Journal, never known to trend liberal- asserts that Trump is leading us to a new world order with his abandonment of Ukraine and democracy as a governing ideal. And not a more democratic world order. An authoritarian one. So what? What do we do? Well, we gotta get back to our basics. Do We the People in this country bow to kings? Hell no. Do We the People condone repressive authoritarian regimes? Absolutely not. It's basic. We the People are a democratic republic, with leaders elected by and held responsible to US.
