As the race for the next Wisconsin Supreme Court justice election heats up, we'll keep you updated. This week, Judge Brad Schimel's campaign released an ad with an altered image of Judge Susan Crawford. Schimel's campaign says they wanted to make Crawford appear "ashamed". We say, if they want to see shame, just look in the mirror. The case raises concerns over not only the legality of using certain technologies to edit material for campaigns but also the appropriateness of it. If a campaign can use editing software to change a picture, why not use it to change the words spoken by their opponent? Where does this shameful act end?

In other shameful news, a Wisconsin man died of respiratory distress after being unable to afford his inhaler. The man, Cole, did not receive appropriate notice that his inhaler would no longer be covered, nor was he able to purchase an alternate drug according to the lawsuit his parents are filing. This is where for-profit healthcare gets us. Shameful.
