Today, President-elect Trump held his first press conference since the election was certified. As expected, it was a bunch of word salad. Dom covers the lowlights for us, from Panama to Hezbollah.
In other Trump-related news, Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon has temporarily blocked Jack Smith from reporting on the classified documents case. This is completely unsurprising, as she tends to rule in favor of Republicans. Also, the wheels of justice have long since slowed to a near stop when processing Trump in general over the years. With that said, the American people deserve to know the contents of these reports. Theoretically, even Trump supporters would like to know the truth.
In still more Trump-related news (get used to it, folks), Facebook's parent company Meta plans to end its long-running fact checking program. First of all, who knew that Facebook fact checked anything? In any case, all signs point to this being a direct response to pressure from Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who seek to curtail any efforts to verify facts in favor of "free speech."
