Last night, the 45th POTUS hosted an event billed as a Town Hall. Now, Dom and Jess thought they understood the format of a Town Hall. A candidate or multiple candidates take questions from a crowd and deliver answers as a way for voters to compare platforms and proposed policies. What we saw was... not that. Instead, we saw Trump take a few pre-ordained questions. And then hard-pivot away from questions aboard the Crazy Train . And stand, wobbling and smirking in the only way he knows how to dance, for nearly 40 minutes. Y'all, we were deeply concerned watching this, a feeling shared by many. This is not normal, healthy behavior. This is not behavior that indicates a candidate possesses the physical and mental fortitude to serve as President of these United States.
But ...whatever that was didn't impact his ability to make judgments on others' suitability for office. Whereas Kamala Harris released her medical report this weekend, Trump only releases confused social media clamor at her records. Rather than, y'know, release his own to *prove* he's healthier. For the record, the most severe conditions on Harris' report are seasonal allergies and mild nearsightedness.
Finally, checking in on the current state of the stages of grief in the Trump camp on the 2020 election. Oh what's that? They're still in denial and bargaining? JD Vance sat down with the New York Times for an extended interview. Even with all the time in the world, he couldn't answer the simple question: did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?
