Well, what about voting? Many of us agree that protecting the right of US citizens to vote is a top priority. Perhaps we don't all agree on how easy it should be for citizens to fulfill their right and responsibility. But certainly, we must recognize that democracy does not function when our citizens cannot vote. Anne Egan-Waukau of Wisconsin Native Vote joins us for the second half hour to share how WNV works each day to combat disenfranchisement of Native voters. Beyond finding solutions to the concrete barriers blocking Native citizens from exercising their right to vote, WNV works to energize Native voters to participate in the civic process.
