Some portions of this program may be pre-recorded warning you are about to listen to the greatest

We must tell you the views represented on this show are not necessarily those of this

This radio show contains differing points of view on current political topics and due

to the nature of its contents, it should be heard by everyone.

Thank you for listening.

Now live from the civic media studios in Madison, Wisconsin, where the political party is just

beginning, welcome to the devil's advocates radio show, friends proving it's never personal

only politics.

And now here's your host, Dom and Crout.

And welcome to the devil's advocates radio show, I am your host, that one ex-Selvia Crouty

is offering and kids to college today.

We appreciate you joining us for the happy hour.

Join us on the lines at 844-967-2789 and it is a happy hour indeed happy to introduce

our guest, Robert Pylan, host of native roots radio, I'm awake over on KTNF in Minneapolis,

Minnesota, AM 950, Robert, welcome back to the devil's advocates.

Hey, big Peony Gigi, thank you and don't forget, I'm all over civic media radio too.

So I really appreciate you cats out in Wisconsin, oh, Robert was great to see you down at the

DNC.

I was kind of like lament because there's so much going on, there's never enough time

to hang out and catch up.

We did sit at the table a little bit together but we didn't get to talk on the radio

so I appreciate you making time for us before your show today.

Robert, what was your take away, man?

I thought there was the best convention I have ever been a part of and certainly some

of those speeches just kind of blew me away, what was your take?

It was a total chill vibe, really positive and everyone was smiling and happy and I

agree 100% down.

It was momentous and I was really glad I was part of it and I'm glad you guys were down

there too because that's really important, you guys were live here in the Twin Cities

and had comments too and it's just really important to keep the progressive voice going

and while we're listening to these great, great speakers.

Yeah, it was a sea change in mentality and spirit from the RNC.

We were there too, didn't do quite as much coverage but once Kamala Harris came on board,

they talk about the joy and the love and the energy and all those kinds of things and

the right, they're not very happy about it all, which I can get, she's going up in the polls

and they're not doing so well.

How long do you think this positivity, this love, this joy wave can last?

And at some point does she have to start getting into more specifics?

Well, I don't know if she needs to get into more specifics.

I think that we need to keep pushing because I heard something pretty crazy yesterday

by State Representative Heather Keeler who I have on my show in that that Clinton was leading by

this amount too at the same time and I forgot or never knew that and she said we got to stay

on top of things and keep pushing.

So that's going to be my story here for the next few months.

Keep pushing, Robert, obviously you're in Minnesota, man.

I got family in Minnesota, love me some Minnesota.

Tim Walls as the VP pick, what's your take?

You've had him as a governor for years now and he's been an elected representative in Minnesota

for many years. Coach Walls, Robert, what do you think?

Well, this is what I think.

I think that we have issues and things like that but I'm an old person now, you know, Dom

and I'm not a one issue voter. Do you know what I mean?

And I think I was when I was really young and I was really pushing on one issues.

The big picture is that the country loves him.

He's been really good for Indian country here in Minnesota and since we've had the tri-affecta,

a lot of great bills have happened and he's signed off for and one of the things too that

you know is really exciting for us Dom and I know you know this and you're listening to

this but I just want to say it again is once he becomes vice president, we'll have our first

Native American woman, a governor in the United States history and that's what we're really excited

about because those two are always a team from day one.

Oh, so you're listening to the devils, advocates. Radio show, Robert Pilot host of at Native

Roots Radio, I'm awake, joining me, covering out a little bit of time before his show goes live.

What? I believe it's five o'clock, right?

Yeah and then all different hours played back on civic media and really really so happy to be

on civic media and talk to all my progressive friends and Native friends across Wisconsin.

Oh, a few guys out there.

So Robert, what's your take? I've seen some updates on like the end bridge and you know this

has always been kind of an issue that the fuel lines here in Wisconsin. A lot of these things are

a budding or going across, you know, indigenous lands. Do you think that the former president

is all about drill baby drill and under this administration, under the Biden administration,

we've produced more oil and gas than ever before in the history of this country.

It doesn't, doesn't bode well for I think for maybe cutting back and getting rid of some of these

pipelines that are endangering and continuing to pollute public and indigenous lands.

Well, really good points, Dom. Line five is crazy and you know, I love your governor in Wisconsin,

but he seems to be ignoring that a little bit and we had walls, okay, line three here in Minnesota.

And again, I have to look at the big picture and that's not being a one issue voter.

And what I mean by that too is there's the second day that Trump was president, he signed over

the Dakota access pipeline, the second day, not the third day, not the fifth day, not the first month,

the second day. And I believe that when we get the Democrats in there, we can push them more

progressive. Right now they got to get in there and get their vote and we can push them, you know,

we have big issues here, you know, with Palestine, you know, they're what's happening there,

Native Americans, especially feel their genocide is very parallel to our genocide here in this

country. And so again, we have to get the Democrats in and then push them more progressive once

they're in. Yeah, the the genocide and Gaza a little close to home historically here at Robert,

you know, what the Middle East, I mean, this thing's been been going on forever. I mean, I'd

love to see certainly everybody pair it down back it off. Appreciate everyone's right to self-governance

and existence, you know, clean air, clean water, you know, those kinds of basic things, but we're

so far away from that, Robert, but I'm with you. And we've seen some of the criticism from the

righties and how even some lefties, you know, Kamala was for like a Medicare for all and now she's

kind of paired that back a little bit, you know, so as, as, you know, she's, she's moving up on the

ticket, she's a little, a little less forceful in some of those policies, but I think you're right,

at the end of the day, we got to get people elected. We need, you know, don't look at the choice

against the alternatives of the Almighty, look at the alternative and the alternative is is not

palatable whatsoever, Robert. Oh, I agree 100% and, you know, again, I don't want to be

a one-issue voter and I believe we can push these guys more to the more progressive and,

yeah, I agree some of these things are being said to be elected because I believe if we get a

trifecta in the House and the Senate along with the President, we're going to have a bigger Supreme

Court too, but they're not talking about that, but that's going to come down the line. I do believe.

Oh, the Wall Street Journal out of Torrebar is certainly, you know, sending up some warnings

about that. What's your thought? This whole filibuster thing and the way that this is really

stymied progress in this country is down the Constitution. It's a rule that then sometimes they'll

use it and sometimes they won't. Do you think that if we get the trifecta on the federal level that

this is something they should absolutely go after and get rid of entirely? Where do you stand on that?

Oh, absolutely. It's just the worst thing for government right now. It's just all this

game and ship and, you know, that's how Trump got in. You know, Trump got a lot of Bernie votes and

Trump was talking to a lot of people that felt like the government, you know, he was going to drain

the swamp and he became just self-absorbed with the 1% and helping his buddies and filling his own

pockets and listening to people that have no interest in the middle class. And remember, you know,

I'm old enough to remember, and Dom, you're younger than me, even though I look young, but,

is that I remember Reagan, you know, in 1973, what was it? 75% of workers were in a union.

That's what happened to our middle class. It's down to what? 25% if that?

Robert Pylott, host of Native Roots Radio, I'm awake. Governor Walls, I was speaking to unions

today. Lots of unions. We saw, forget the guy's name, it wasn't the team series, but

calling him worth a t-shirt. You know, Trump is a scab. Do you think that outreach being done by

the Democrats right now? And I think it's working class outreach. It's union outreach. It's

real outreach. I mean, they're making a point, but my understanding Harris is going on like a bus

to a rural Georgia, you know, and trying to, you know, I think it's a great idea if not even to get

the votes to, you know, to get a chance, but also to get people to see you. And to see them,

to see their circumstances, and get to understand, vote on the ground, smell the air, you know,

feel the dirt, that kind of thing. I think that that's very important for the Dems. It looks like,

since the Biden replacement with Harris, there's some more states and some more populations,

will be in play. Yeah. Well, Liquid happened. Hillary didn't go to Wisconsin. She never

came into Minnesota and almost lost Minnesota. It's so important down what you're saying there

is that they get out there and they get to see, you know, remember walls, he, he was elected as a

Senate or not a senator, but a House of Representatives in a place in Minnesota that hadn't voted

Democrat in since the 1800s. So he's a he's a centrist too, but he's really been pushed here in

Minnesota to become more, more and more progressive. So he he's one, they won governor at a good pace,

almost Amy Klobuchar percentage like 68% and so, you know, that was an amazing pick by

our vice president. I was kind of worried that it would blow up the Democratic Party, but

what is it over $500 million in the last four weeks, thousands and thousands of volunteers,

which really are the boots on the ground that get make collections happen. So with that in mind,

I think we're looking pretty good and don't forget that Gen Z's, they never get called up about

polling and they're polling big with not polling, but they're they are definitely excited about this

presidential option now. Yeah, with with the, you know, Gen Xers, man, it's about time.

And my understanding Robert here in the state of Wisconsin, once this once this all went down,

not only was the money raised, but like 42,000 volunteers signed up just in the state of Wisconsin.

I mean, you think there's a market that's been untabbed, Robert? Right on. Hey, when I was young,

the Wisconsin was blue is the sky and good to see that we can get rid of that gerrymandering and all

those things and bring Wisconsin back to the fold. Robert pilot host of Native Roots Radio,

I'm awake starting off at 5 a.m. 950 minutes. So to play an out later here on the Civic Media Network,

Robert, thanks for catching up. Thanks for hanging out. Always good to talk to you, my friend.

Ditto. Thank you so much for having me on.

All right. Oh, we're on the double seven. Let's come back to your lines eight four four nine six seven two seven eight nine.

Charged.

Now we're convicted.

Raysal.

Raysal.

Raysal.

Raysal.

And we are back from the fourth one. A great thank you for listening to the devil's advocates.

Radio show full lines are open. Hit us up eight four four nine six seven two seven eight nine.

I want to thank our friend Robert pilot host of Native Roots Radio. I'm awake on a.m. 950 in Minneapolis,

course showing a playing out here on Civic Media Network as well later at night. Check him out.

He's a good cat. Really loved to hang out with Robert. I'd love to hang out with you as well eight four four nine six seven two seven eight nine.

We'll get to some callers up, but today today.

Uh, Vance apparently has been out on the stump. He's been talking. He's been, you know, he's been saying all the things that Republicans want to hear.

And we have some cuts want to play him for you, our fair audience.

Let's start. We got the new ones. We got the new ones. Rich.

Yes, we can start with Vance and taxes.

Let's let's hear. Let's hear what Vance has to say about taxes. Now did see an axioms article. They broke down what Donald Trump's plan would be.

And apparently, according to their numbers, he would add about five or six trillion dollars to the national debt to do what he wants to do.

So, but let's hear what the JD had to say.

Donald Trump wants to cut your taxes. Donald Trump wants to cut taxes on American businesses hire an American workers.

And he wants to raise tariffs on the Chinese and everybody who's trying to rely on Chinese slave labor instead of American hardworking people.

Okay. Hey, where's your iPhone from, Vance? What else we got from JD?

The campaign was allowed to have a photographer there. There's verifiable. They were invited to have a photographer there. There's verifiable evidence that the families of these poor people who had their loved ones die three years ago at Abbey Road.

They had to navigate those 13 Americans. A lot of them were there with the president. They invited him to be there.

So the storyline between that now, according to NPR, apparently the Trump campaign staff had an altercation with an official at Arlington National Cemetery, a little bit from the reporting to members of Donald Trump's campaign staff had a verbal and physical altercation Monday with an official at Arlington National Cemetery.

The source with knowledge of the incidents of the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent US casualties are buried.

The source said Arlington officials make clear that only cemetery staff members would be authorized to take photographs or film in the area known as section 60.

When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering section 60 campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source.

Trump participated in an event to mark the third anniversary of a deadly attack in US troops in Afghanistan as US forces withdrew from the country.

Now, HR McMaster on a side note, or maybe get to that as well as a follow up to this piece is putting as we have on this show the blame for that mess on Trump.

That was Trump steel man. Trump laid down the groundwork for that, but I'll continue with the NPR reporting regarding this altercation at Arlington. I mean, what a what a way to honor the fallen.

13 US service members were killed in the attack, not Abby Road, JD Vance. That's a Beatles album. It was placed in Beatles here today and on our JD Vance Ridge.

The Trump campaign campaign is blamed Biden and Harris for the chaotic withdrawal and an statement to NPR Stephen Chung and the Trump campaign spokes loser strongly reject the notion of a physical altercation adding we are prepared to release footage.

If such defamatory claims are made, the fact is a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason, an unnamed individual clearly suffering from a mental health episode decided to physically block members of President Trump's team during a very solemn ceremony.

I'm not there. I don't know. I just think any time you have, I mean, Donald Trump is sitting there with the families and the families look like they were down. They were happy with Donald Trump at the cemetery and I saw a shot. He's grinning ear to ear with a thumbs up in a cemetery.

I was like, man, it's that's super disrespectful and pretty weird. I looked at some of the family members and they were like throwing the horns. You know, we throw the horns, the rock and roll.

And so there was obviously the mood was uplifting. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, but that isn't the place in my humble humble opinion.

844 967 2789. We got a more and more advanced. We want to roll out there got one more. Let's hear what's here with JD had to say.

Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won't even do an investigation into what happened and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up. She can she can go to hell.

Wow. All right. That's uplifting the discourse here in this country, our political discourse. This is a political party. We love it when you hang out with us as a party. Everyone's invited.

844 967 2789. Let's get to them. Mark will get you in the segment. Welcome. What do you got for us?

Yeah. Thanks. Thanks for taking my call. It just you just kind of blew me away from the last thing. First off, if Donald Trump wants to go there and be with the families, that's all one good. But to turn it into a campaign stop to take film of it and all that just shows all of them a district disrespect right there.

I mean, JD Vance and Eric Covey and the whole they're all equal opportunity offenders, E O O's. I mean, they just they're mouth flaps and they offend anybody. Everybody and anybody. I mean, for these for that campaign staffer to disparage the Arlington Cemetery property employee for trying to enforce the rules is just reprehensible.

I mean, it no wonder he works for Trump because he's probably a reprehensible individual himself. This guy is saying this kind of nonsense. It's just sad. I mean, that the Arlington Cemetery is supposed to be his sacred soil.

Soil we took from Robert E. Lee when you know, his punishment for his participating rebellion against the United States because that was his farm.

From what if I understand history right? So I mean that it is just Trump has no respect unless you can listen and monetize it. And here he's monetizing people that died in service to the other country.

It really is offensive. What a Rodney Dangerfield say, you know, biggest place to land golf courses and cemeteries. I mean, that's a very Trumpian thing to say.

But are you surprised of lack of respect, lack of decorum. I mean, lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of lack of all of those things.

The bar is so, so super low and somehow they seemingly keep on going lower. Not us.

They go low. We get high. It's a 420 break. Come back with your phone calls 844 967 2789. We do have some numbers on what the Trump fiscal financial plan would be. It wouldn't be great.

Monday. Tuesdays on the phone to the devil's advocate. Rock and roll political commentary in a top 40 world.

The devil's advocate radio show. It is a political party. Everyone is invited 844 967 2789. We're going to get back to the phones. And I think in the 5 o'clock hour, we're going to try to tackles that superseding indictment Jack Smith has some very short 30 some pages paired it down after the US Supreme courts of BS ruling, but we'll get into that in the 5 o'clock hour.

We're going to get your phone calls once again, 844 967 2789 Joe from Madison. You're welcome. Joe, what do you got for us?

I just wanted to continue on the Arlington cemetery and a big hog. Trump's activities there. It's important to note that it isn't just this respect for what he did. It's against federal law.

And in the statement that was issued by Arlington National Cemetery, they say that they say federal law prohibits political campaign or election related activities with an army national military cemetery.

And that includes photographers, content creators or anybody who's attending for the purposes in direct support of a partisan political candidate. They shared that with the participants and said, no, you can't.

And of course, the flaming hog that is Trump went ahead and did it anyway. What I find interesting is he violated the law. They specifically said you can't there's federal law. There's specific law that says you cannot do this.

My wondering is it doesn't matter if the family said, hey, okay, come on in. We really want him here. It's not their permission to give. They don't own the cemetery. It's under the direction of the army.

They decide what the policy is and that it's not even just policy. It is law that you can't do this. So it was a direct violation of law. My wondering is, who's going to follow up on this? Who's going to have the nerve to say, no, I mean, if Trump can do it, why can't French has gone bring in photographers to Arlington cemetery? Why can't you know people from the green party bring in photographers to Arlington cemetery?

If he has, if this is established that he can do this and he can big hog his way in there, who else can do it? I mean, it's going to be a free for all. Everybody will want to be getting footage from Arlington National Cemetery or your other military cemeteries. It's not right. It's against the law. And what I find interesting is, okay, he just broke another law right there. He just broke another law.

Isn't he on probation right now, Joe? Yes, yes. So who's going to go out to him to say this? And the other thing is, what happens if that campaign ad is aired? What kind of FCC requirements are being violated? We're watching something that's illegal. We're watching somebody break the law if this is aired. I just find this fascinating because I think he's just started to roll it down the hill and him saying, well, the family said it could be there. So what? The family can have to take private photos.

They can take all the private footage. They which they cannot use it for political gain. And that's what this the federal law is about. So and just imagine what kind of free for all in sacred ground of a military cemetery. You're going to have if everybody in their brother can go shoot their campaign videos there. Come on. This is nuts. And I find it so appalling to Don because this is the guy who, when he had a chance to treat the fallen with respect, describe them as suckers and losers.

This is the guy who said about disabled veterans. I don't want them there. They make me look bad. I mean, who are we kidding? The world is upside down if this guy is in our intent and he's allowed to go forward with this. This is not a guy who respects veterans at all. And it's not the family's permission. That's important here. It's the federal law. That's important. Thanks a lot. Appreciate it, Don. Yeah. Thank you, Joe. Great points. And let's not forget his attitude towards pardon me. Senator John

McCain, you know, hey, I like the ones that don't get caught. Of course, he disrespects everything. If it's not him or something, he, he supports or something that he's promoting. It doesn't matter to him. So of course, this happened a little more reporting on this from the raw story. Trump outraged veterans and legal experts Wednesday with a new social post that they say disrespects you as service members who died in line of duty and may have violated federal law. I'm with

you, Joe. Now, Trump posted to TikTok a video montage of his visit Monday to Arlington National Cemetery where he spurred outrage for a gravesite thumbs up and possibly broke a law that restricts political campaign activity on military burial grounds. Now, Trump is filmed partaking in a wreath lane ceremony on the third

anniversary of a deadly attack that claimed 13 US service members lives amid the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

We lost 13 great, great people. Trump says in a voice over over what a horrible day it was. Now, Trump does not mention President Joe Biden or vice president Kamala Harris, his political opponent, but he appears to draw a comparison between his administration and theirs. And here's the quote, we didn't lose one person in 18 months, Trump said, and then they took over that disaster, the leaving of Afghanistan, unquote.

Now, the link of the bottom of here at the article, the raw story, sends viewers to a 2024 election center registration site, hooked it by TikTok and the nonprofit democracy works on Trump posted the video to his real at real Donald Trump account, which he claims the title of president and identifies himself as the 45th president of the United States seems pretty political to me.

The video does not include any disclosure messaging from Trump's campaign. It appears among videos that include Trump campaign events, criticism of Harris and his campaign slogan make America great again.

It was shared on Twitter by vote bets. It progressed a political action group of US war veterans that claimed Trump violated the law by posting the video publicly Trump, quote, Trump is using footage and photos. His campaign took at Arlington National Cemetery for political purposes.

Against the rules and laws that govern this hallowed ground, hallowed ground. Trump doesn't believe in hallowed groundless. He's walking on it. That's what makes it hallowed ground.

The group continues this whole episode is sickening and in front to all those hundreds of thousands of families who never agreed to allow their deceased loved ones to be dragged into politics.

Now we talked about Trump spokesperson Stephen Chung is responded to an MPR report file. The fact is a private photographer was permitted on the promises and for whatever reason it unnamed individual clearly suffering from mental health episode according to Dr Stephen Chung. I don't think there's a doctor.

Decided to physically block members of Trump's team. I also shared a screenshot.

This did not stop. It's against the law to use images from Arlington National Cemetery for politics.

Democratic strategy just saw your hack it replied. Someone should ask JD Vance today about his running mate breaking the law while using veterans as pawns.

I don't know how much more plainly I can say it. This is outrageous. And there's a bunch, you know, raw story does it quoting the bunch of social media posts criticizing the former president.

And the guy is out on bail, right? He's got a set in scene for the fraud case coming up in less than two weeks. You think the guy'd be a little more.

I don't know cautious about breaking the law, but it's just it's just more of the same. They got pushes and pushes and pushes, you know, the edge and whatever you thought would have been in the lowest point or some standard of decency. He continues to slide underneath it eight four four nine six seven two seven eight nine.

We talked about the HR McMaster CNN reporting this one general McMaster. He's got a book out. And if you know this, he's on the tour says Trump bears some responsibility for the Afghanistan withdrawal. Yeah, you think.

Now, he served as a national security advisor under Trump and said Monday, his one time boss does bear responsibility. He told CNN's Anderson Cooper that the former president made a decision in 2017 to maintain a US presence in Afghanistan.

But that Trump then changed his mind. The Trump administration ultimately entered into an agreement with the Taliban requiring requiring US troops to withdraw from the country by May of 2021.

President Joe Biden after he took office pushed that withdrawal date back to August. So Trump made a deal with the Taliban to leave in May of 21 Biden took over pushed it back to August.

Sounds like a Trump deal. Let's hear more. He couldn't stick with the decision McMaster who served as Trump's national security advisor from early 2017 until April 2018.

He didn't stick with the decision. And I think people were in his year and manipulated him with these mantras and the endless wars and Afghanistan is a graveyard of empires and so far.

Now asked by Cooper if Trump bears some responsibility. He said, oh, yes.

Now we talked about Trump laying the wreath of the ceremony, jumping some family members, McMaster says in his book at war with ourselves my tour of duty in the Trump White House.

Road about his perception that Trump often sought the praise and approval of strongman leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and so on and so far.

I'm trying to explain really the strength and some aspect of the president's character, but also vulnerabilities. And of course at times I was reluctant to write some of this because I thought I don't want to give these reelected some kind of playbook of how you can manipulate Donald Trump.

I'm talking McMaster, you're not telling any secrets here. I mean, that's that is that is one of the vulnerabilities of a guy like Donald Trump of a narcissist like Donald Trump.

If you just layer him with compliments. Oh, you're so great, Mr. Trump. You're the smartest, Mr. Trump. You're the brave. It's you're the strongest. You're the best.

Well, no, what we do without you. You're the only one that can fix it. Well, he will bring you in. He will make you. You'll make you his coffee boy.

And then and then when things go south, he'll dismiss you just as easily.

A while at times critical of the former president, McMaster offered Monday unique nuanced insight into Trump's decision making process. Oh, do tell.

I did see him learn and adapt and really evolve his understanding of situations. People would often say to me. Does he listen? Does he?

Yes, he does. But oftentimes when he when he does come to what I think is a really solid conclusion based on taking a wide range of people into wide range of views, oftentimes he can't hang on to that decision.

And then politically policy part, part me. He can't hang on to the decision and then policy becomes unmoored. Yeah, is that what it is. So, um, McMaster talking about Nick. Again, another another staffer. They got worked for or Trump.

But we've known this. Donald Trump cut that deal with with Afghanistan.

Period. You understand what we're saying here. Megas. I know everyone's like, oh, critical. And we know some of our callers that certainly is tragic. Anytime our service members die, man. Of course it is. Of course it is. That's not the question. The question is.

Who made the decisions to put them in these situations to begin with? Oh, Donald Trump did, man. And I don't wasn't in the room. Don't know the motivation. But I got to think knowing how vindictive, you know, narcissists can be that he laid down a crap sandwich for the following administration.

And yeah, it was, it was, it was, it was not a great withdrawal. People died getting out of there. You know, locals died. You see the images on the trying to get on the transport plane.

You know, these, these are, these are real life things and much of that. Not all of it. Certainly. I mean, it was Joe Biden. He was, he was the commander chief at the time.

And maybe he didn't have to abide by the previous administration's agreement with the Taliban. Now he put it back a couple of months. Maybe that made it even worse. But the end of the day, this withdrawal was laid out, negotiated and done by Donald Trump, who sat there.

And our only to national cemetery, giving thumbs up, smiling after talking about the 13 dead servicemen, JD Vance talking about Abbey Road, Abbey Gate is what it was, but he'll say Abbey Road.

The ignorance and the disrespect. It just continues. And no, our service members should not be pawns in a political game.

Effort. That's not okay. And to Joe's point, you have the family families can take picture. But if you're going to do that and you put it up on your campaign, you're going to put up as promotion for why you should be president. You're going to put up in reference.

You know, there's nothing happened on my watch, but the next administration, well, things are really bad. Well, I mean, there's so many things wrong with that.

But the fact that you disrespected the fallen that gave their life for this country. And you claim that the J6ers are patriots. And this is what you do to the actual patriots.

Oh, man, what we are, the devil's advocates, eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine exos breaking down some of the proposals of Kamala Harris and Thomas said Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

And what would impact the national that we're going to go there next and then also going to take some of yours calls. And also, I mean, JD bands is the gift that just keeps on giving man.

Did they do any background checks on this cat man? Cause it just keeps coming up. And you know, it's certainly it's a continual rip on, you know, those who don't have kids, you know, if you don't have kids, why are you even here?

Folks, why are you here? Cause this is the devil's advocates. This is where the political party is and you can join us eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine.

You're listening to the radio show your mother warned you about the devil's advocates.

Welcome back to the devil's advocates radio show phone lines opening to go there shortly. Be patient. We'll get to you at eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine.

Some of the policy things. Here we go. Donald Trump plans would add five point eight trillion dollars to the national debt.

Oh, do tell axioms. They break it down. Donald Trump's campaign promises would send the national debt soaring much faster than Kamala Harris would.

And for two new analyses from the dependent Wharton budget model, both of them increase the deficit relative to the current baseline.

But not the same. When government gives money to individuals in businesses as both candidates, prop, a proposed that's good for the recipients, certainly, and broadly good for economic growth, but it also accelerates the growth of the national debt, which is already at worrisome levels.

Yes, most of that the biggest percentage under one president done under Donald Trump. Well, forget that.

Keeping Trump's campaign promises would increase the national debt by $5.8 trillion over 10 years, while Harris would cost 1.2, 5.8 to 1.2.

You know, they always say, you know, your budget is a reflection of your priorities. Well, what are Donald Trump's priorities? So his 5.8 billion dollar addition to the deficit comes in four chunks.

Number one, extend the individual tax cuts. Now, these are the same tax cuts that Trump pushed through last time they sunset it. Now, he would want to extend them. That will cost $3.4 trillion.

He wants to eliminate taxes on social security benefits that would cost 1.2 trillion. I'm down with that and Reagan started doing that.

Business tax cuts for $623 billion, and of course, the favorite lower corporate income tax to 15%. That'll cost $595 billion. So over the 10 years, there's your 5.8 billion dollars added to the deficit.

Now, Harris has a few different priorities. And here they are. Expand the child tax credit that would cost 1.7 trillion dollars and a bigger child tax credit for newborns would cost an additional 132 billion.

Expanding the earned income tax credit would cost 126 billion health insurance tax credits would cost 245 billion.

And down payment support, I believe this is for buying homes, would cost 138 billion. And she offsets that to the tune of 1.1 trillion by raising corporate income tax rates to 21%.

So child tax credit, earned income tax credit, health insurance tax credits, and down payment support plus raising the income tax rate for corporations net net net over 10 years as 1.2 billion dollars to the deficit.

So there's the breakdown as it stands right now 844 967 2789 break it down for us. Dick from Madison. Welcome.

What do you got for us? He's reading about it or just blowing up what Trump's proposing economically.

We'll see him. Yeah, go ahead, Dick.

Oh, hey, real quickly, you know, Trump with this thing with a charming master.

Yes, Afghanistan withdrawal. Yes, well, even beyond that, he says and you as a business person, you include.

He says that Trump told him when he fired him that he agreed with him on 90% of the things that he told him.

And he said he basically just wanted to give him information and don't most it more proof that he's an authoritarian.

I mean, come on 90% he agreed with, but he goes, it's at 10% that I really dislike.

So, and then he talks about all these hot spots in the world like, you know, between Korea and North Korea.

And Trump, you know, espousing the fact that we're going to go into war war three.

And yet I read that the South Koreans are thinking about wanting to have nuclear weapons if he comes back in the power.

But I mean, he just what person would get rid of somebody that he agrees with 90% of the time, unless he's just a total dictatorial type person.

You want information from people across section of things, if you're president, I would think, wouldn't you?

You know, I mean, Dick, yeah, I would think so.

I mean, in any, in any situation, you know, if you're everyone's a yes, a yes man around you, you know, do you think you're being challenged?

Do you think you're making the right decisions if everyone just says yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, because no one's got all the right answers on everything all the time.

That's why you have, that's why you have experts. That's why you rely on staff.

You know, that that's what you do. If you just going to hire people who agree with you 100% of the time, then why hire anybody at all?

Exactly. And, you know, and well, I won't quote the I will.

It's kind of Hitlerist because towards the end of the war, that's the way things went.

He didn't believe anything he was being told anymore.

You know, I mean, the guy is absolutely incredible.

Incredible in all the wrong ways. Thanks for the call, Dick. A little bit more from the new republic.

Extrump advisor drops bombshells about Trump's Taliban deal.

McMaster told Anderson Cooper Monday night that Trump, while president, sought to negotiate with the Taliban as US troops began leaving Afghanistan, which undermined the Afghan government.

As a result, the US government forced the Afghan government to release 5,000 members of the Taliban.

The revelation puts the chaos of the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan into greater context as conservatives thought to lay much of a blame on to Biden and successfully push the narrative in media coverage.

But we know we know that wasn't the case. Not only did Trump, you know, go around the Afghan government to negotiate with the Taliban.

He set dates for the next administration wasn't his, wasn't his.

He laid that groundwork for that deal and gave the Biden administration a big, fat crap sandwich.

But according to the Republicans, well, it was all Biden's fault. Folks, we are the devil's advocates. It's your fault.

You don't come back for the happier, happier hour. We're going to get into Smith's superseding indictment and Wisconsin 844-967-2789.
