Thank you for listening.

Now live from the civic media studios in Madison, Wisconsin,

where the political party is just beginning,

welcome to the devil's advocates radio show.

Friends proving it's never personal, only politics.

These allow me to introduce myself.

And now here's your host, Dom and Crout.

Welcome to the devil's advocates radio show.

We've made it all the way to Friday, Dominic.

I've got a title for this one.

It's the Chase and the Dragon Friday edition.

Welcome to it.

Kurty, happy Friday too.

You rich work in the boards, work in the sound.

Thank you, buddy.

Fair audience.

Happy, happy Friday too, us all.

It's a little loud over here today, Kurty.

There's a lot going on in Milwaukee.

They're practicing the air show.

So the blue age olds, let's say fighter jets flying

by flying over Brady streets.

Also, Harley Festband, let a hogs coming up

and down the street.

German Fest going on as well.

Chili Peppers, they're going to be playing down

at the Harley Festband.

Offsprings is going to be a wonderful weekend here.

But in the meantime, it's a little loud on Brady Street.

A lot of words to say it's loud.

Yes, loud.

You know, you can be my wingman anytime.

No, you can be mine.

Chase in the Dragon for those unfamiliar with the term.

It's like the very first time.

You know, it's like a foreigner song.

It feels like the first time.

But it's usually about the first time you got high, right?

Isn't that chasing the dragon?

Didn't John Jaggler, a state lawmaker in the state of Wisconsin?

Didn't he go on the assembly floor and talk about chasing

that dragon?

I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm coming about it, right?

Yeah, I'm not sure what the context was,

but it was probably out of context, the only Jaggler.

I'm going to tell you, the people of America,

at least the reasonable people, the blue team,

we're chasing that dragon, man.

This week will be hard to top the sugar rush

from Kamala's candidacy, dude.

The kind of week we've put together,

this has been an amazing week, to my humble opinion.

Yeah, for me.

And I don't just mean on the greatest radio show ever.

I mean, for the nation, for small, the democracy,

we've taken a huge step in the right direction.

And I don't know how we'll be able to top this time,

but I can assure you, and I think James Carval, former,

former Clinton guy came out today and said, you know,

enjoy it well at last, because the ice picks

are coming out for Kamala Harris, you know,

the real attacks on this candidate.

Right now, she's basically in her honeymoon phase, if you will.

But the Republicans, they're going to try

and what, shape her in the eye of the voter

in the eye of the American public

between now and Labor Day, somewhere in the middle there

is a little coordination event, the DNC convention

in Chicago, Dom, very excited about that.

We've been putting diligent plans in place.

We're going to anchor all night coverage in the whole city.

So I'm very excited about that, but I couldn't be more excited

than I have been this week about the candidacy of Kamala Harris.

And I don't know if you saw it over at the cap times, Dom.

They believe she will win the state of Wisconsin.

I believe the headline specifically, Kamala Harris

can win Wisconsin.

I would modify that modestly to Kamala Harris

will win Wisconsin.

That's not a modest modification, man.

That changes the entire meaning.

Well, it should be changed to the proper statement,

but you know, they're trying to be journalistically,

or at least editorially, sound, I less so.

Joe Biden ran for the presidency in 2020

with the strong support of this newspaper, the Capitol Times.

It wasn't just that he was leading the charge

to end the disastrous presidency of Donald Trump.

We supported Biden because of his unrivaled experience.

36 years in the Senate, eight years

as Barack Obama's vice president.

And because of his record of support for organized labor,

civil rights in an activist government

that maintains the new deal vision

of the greatest Democratic president

in American history, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

And that was a sentiment broadly shared

Dane County where I lived, I'm least currently,

where Biden won more than 75% of the vote.

And Dane County maintained its enthusiasm for Biden,

giving the president 83% of the vote

in this year's Democratic primary election.

While there was barely an opponent, I would point out,

but anyways, reading on in the editorial,

if Biden had decided to continue his campaign

even after his unsettling appearance

in the June 27th presidential debate with Trump,

he would have undoubtedly won Dane County, including his vote.

And Paul suggests he would have won Wisconsin,

although that prospect was dim,

to mid mounting concerns,

regarding the president's age and agility.

Well, maybe mental acuity,

I don't know if I need him to in summer salts out there,

but anyways, we were uncomfortable

according to the cap times editorial board.

We were uncomfortable with the debate

about Biden's competence,

and we felt that many in the media,

and someone his own party were too aggressive

and seeking to push him aside.

But it was clear to us,

after the president's campaign visit to Madison,

a week after the debate that was technically July 5th,

I was in the room,

that he simply was not prepared

to run this sort of full throttle campaign

that was needed to decisively defeat Trump

and to secure Democratic control

of the US House and Senate.

And ultimately, Biden's decision to stand down

was right and necessary.

So too, was his decision to endorse vice president,

Kamala Harris, as the Democratic nominee.

Pretty the cap times continues

with Biden's decision to stand down,

the delegates he won from Wisconsin and other states

are free to support the Democrat they think

is best prepared to win in November.

Like Biden, however, we believe

that Democrat is Harris.

There is a measure of hall town pride

in our support for Harris's nomination,

and in our encouragement of Wisconsin delegates

to back her when the party gathers

in Chicago next month,

for what promises to be a historic

Democratic national convention.

historic crudey.

Harris spent a portion of her childhood in Madison

and she has maintained her ties

to this community as a frequent

and highly engaged visitor.

We know that as the party's nominee,

she will be campaigning in Wisconsin,

avoiding the mistake made by some previous nominees,

especially Clinton in 2016 Hillary,

who paid too little attention

to this critical background state.

Harris can win Wisconsin,

especially if she chooses a vice presidential running mate

who resonates with the voters of the state.

Who we like Michigan governor,

Gretchen Whitmer,

and able an experienced campaigner

who has been an exceptionally successful governor

restoring labor rights by overturning the state's

so-called right to work law,

protecting reproductive rights,

and making bold investments in education and infrastructure.

Now Whitmer says she's not interested in leaving Michigan,

which is the lying vice presidential prospects

often adapt.

Our hope is that Harris will consider Whitmer

and that Whitmer will consider the offer.

Why?

In addition to all the other arguments on her behalf,

Whitmer comes from a battleground state

that like Wisconsin,

Democrats cannot afford to lose.

Additionally, Michigan's governor has proven

to be an adept campaigner in neighboring states

as she has proven with successful swing

with successful swings through Wisconsin.

Of course, there will be naysayers

who argue that America is not ready to elect

a ticket headed by two women,

but those are the same people who fret about whether this country

is ready to elect a ticket headed by one woman.

And some of them are the same people who warned

that America would not elect a black man

named Barack Rossino Obama as its president.

Political progress is only achieved

when opportunities are embraced.

Wisconsin embraced the opportunity

that Barack Obama and the Democrats presented in 2008,

given the young senator from Illinois

and his running mate Joe Biden, 56% of the vote

and an epic statewide victory.

Four years later, the Obama Biden ticket,

one more narrowly garnering only around 53% of the vote,

but still harrying the majority of counties.

We don't know whether a ticket led by Kamala Harris

and Gretchen Whitmer,

what could gain that level of traction in Wisconsin

or a ticket led by Harris and Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir

or a ticket led by Harris and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly.

What we do know is that CNN commentator,

David Axelrod, a veteran of the Obama White House,

was right when he said on the day after Biden stood down

where there was very little chance

for Democrats 24 hours ago,

there was a real sense of possibility now.

That's true nationally and that's true in Wisconsin.

Madison is a Democratic town.

Dane County is a Democratic County.

Joe Biden would have won it

if he had chosen to stay at the top of the ticket.

Kamala Harris will win it

if she is at the top of the ticket.

Wisconsin's another story.

It looked after the debate.

Us calls for him to stand down rows

that like Biden would have a very hard time

winning the Badger State.

Now, it looks like Harris could have a much easier time of it.

And if Kamala Harris wins the great Battleground State

of Wisconsin, she is likely to win it all.

Or don't you other cap times editorial captimes.com.

Well, good start on Tuesday coming to West Alice.

She shot her campaign video,

her rollout video in Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

And I don't know if you'd seen down,

but this weekend a big one for the Democratic party.

They're starting to get out the votes.

They are knocking doors and it all starts in Milwaukee

this weekend.

Thousands going to knock the doors down.

That is my understanding.

And you know, no better time than the present

to start supporting this candidate.

This sugar rush this won't less forever, man.

No good high ever does.

Reality is going to start kicking her ass

just like it does Joe Biden and Trump

and every other damn candidate,

because they all have flaws.

They all have records to run on.

But I'm very excited about the prospect.

And especially here in the state of Wisconsin, Dom,

because I've been telling you for a while.

In my opinion, only three states matter

in the entire United States.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

And I didn't hear the cap times editorial board advocating

for Josh Shapiro, the governor from Pennsylvania,

but I've heard his name bantered quite a bit.

He is the latest.

Well, maybe not the biggest latest name to endorse

Kamala Harris, but the Pennsylvania governor has endorsed her.

And some other guy.

Some yeah, and his politician and his wife like, like,

like some of them from from the flatlands, man, someone from Illinois.

What was the guy's name again?

Barack Obama.

Oh, yeah.

Now, seeing Barack Obama, that was a sweetheart, man.

Back in 2008, when Barack was new on the scene,

and people were still learning,

the state of Wisconsin was instrumental to Barack Obama

first becoming the nominee.

And then of course, winning the electoral college.

And I would say it's, it's a lot like Chase

at the Antirac and Dom.

I was feeling the echoes of Barack Obama

in the West Alice Central High School gymnasium.

But Kamala Harris, she's something different entirely.

And it feels pretty good.

And until she gets ice picked in the knack,

which will eventually come from the Republicans,

they'll find a way.

They're plotting right now.

I warned you.

They're trying hard.

But I'm going to enjoy this.

Hi, it's a Friday, high day.

Chase in the dragon round here.

Come back with us.

Your phone calls 844-967-2789.

History shows again and again.

I'll take a watch of the Mollie of Wins.

Godzilla!

When they go low, we get high.

The devil's advocates.

Yeah, welcome back to the devil's advocates.

Radio show happy Friday to us all.

Join us on the political party line talk or text.

Rudy reads the text.

I'll grab the calls 844-967-2789.

Chasing the dragon Friday edition

didn't give Fritch much to work with musically.

I think we've checked all the boxes.

Godzilla and Puff the Magic Dragon.

See, killing the dragon by deal.

And then there's the Imagine Dragons band.

I mean, there's four out there.

There's four out there.

Well, Riches Olden has limited creativity.

I had to give these two.

You're going to take that where he can turn his mic off, man.

I am also old and limited in my creativity,

because I only pick Godzilla and Puff the Magic Dragon.

I do have one for the next segment.

Oh, okay.

All right.

We'll see.

We'll be surprised together.

Tom, unfortunately, I can't get to the post

on the journal Sentinel online regarding campaigning

going on for the Harris campaign in Milwaukee this weekend.

They come knocking on your door.

Don't get scared.

You want them there.

You want them on your door.

You want them knocking?

At least if they don't try to convince you

to join the Church of Jesus Christ of later days.

I don't want to join a cult.

Did you find it?

I'm sorry.

I did not.

Didn't give up proper time.

No.

Tomorrow, well, more accurately.

Monday about three o'clock.

We're going to have a radio show.

Just give you a little more of that.

All right.

Yes.

Well, that are you could shoot me back the password

because I've lost it apparently.

But anyways, I know what it, what, what, what, what, what

what a rookie move.

I must explain my browser history.

What can I say?

Yeah, you still save your passwords.

All right.

I don't know why they're gone.

Maybe my annual subscriptions up.

What can I say?

It's not let me in.

I was in this morning, and now I'm not in.

It's out.

It's a disappointing thing to sort of harsh.

This might buzz just a little 844-967-2789.

Other, was some other coverage.

I did take note of it, and we got to find guests joining us

later in this big show.

She is Dr. Kristen Leierley.

She's an OB-GYN.

And she's a congressional candidate in the 8 CD up in the

Green Bay market.

And also at the journal Sentinel, but I've read this one.

I remember most of the details, because here's the important

part.

They had a little candidate forum in the 8 CD.

And, you know, the Republicans, they've got quite a primary

going on.

They've got the Tony Weed guy.

Now, is that a dinosaur dragon?

That's, that's the Dino guy.

The Dino stops, gas station owner, yes.

So apparently he sold his dad's gas station chain and did

quite well financially.

So he's a self-funded Republicans.

Love them best.

Oh, they sure do.

And then there was, and I'm not sure if Roger Roth was at this

particular candidate forum.

He was, but apparently he kind of, you know, fell behind a

little bit.

Well, there are.

In the shadow of Andre Jacques.

Well, that's a big shadow to the Andre Jacques cast.

Some could say he may affect the tides, though.

But Andre Jacques Republican state senator from the great

state of Wisconsin, he's the other guy.

And these two guys, this Tony Weed and Andre Jacques, they're,

they're trying to out extreme each other.

Who's the most mega extreme?

Because Weed has earned the endorsement of Donald Trump.

But Andre Jacques spent a bad governance,

mega since the get, man.

Oh, yeah, man.

He's one of the old geez.

He wrote a letter to the vice president on January 5th of 2021,

asking him not to certify the ballot.

He can't be much more committed than that.

You know, unless you're actually part of the coup plot,

like a guy like Ryan Johnson, but that's a different story

for a different segment.

So anyways, they, they had this mono, mono, plus Roth,

eight CD Republican party candidate debate and apparently

capacity in the room, Tom and I care about the size of the room

and the size of the audience.

You know, I pay attention.

So apparently the room had a max capacity of 75,

not a big 75, 75, 75, 75, yeah.

Put on by the Wisconsin manufacturers and commerce.

The state's largest business organization.

The biggest Republican lobbyist organization.

How they wrote the recusal rules for our state supreme court

was got some manufacturers and commerce.

You think how did that happen?

Well, they collaborated with the Realtors Association

and apparently wrote the recusal rules

for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

But anyways, they had this, this event up in the eight CD,

up in the Green Bay area, capacity 75.

My understanding, Tom, they had less than half capacity.

And the attendees, as I recall them being described,

the polo shirt, khaki pants, blue blazer wearing sorts,

and they were like pocketed around this room of 75

because apparently it wasn't very densely attended.

And then the other noted part of the,

of the journalism I saw there, Tom,

of the less than half, which is like 37, 38, let's say,

let's call it around 40.

A third of them were apparently family members

of the respective candidates.

And I'm thinking to myself, if that's all that showed up,

if I were running for the US Congress,

and I had a candidate for them,

and that's all that showed up to support the entire party,

I mean, this is all three candidates, right?

On the Republican side, on the Maga side,

I would quit the sport of politics.

If it was just my wife, my kids, some neighbors,

and my end-laws, if those are the only people

I could get to show up at the...

My staff, my campaign staff, my legislative staff.

Who knows, how do you feel about 13 of peace?

39, Roger Roth probably had a few less.

Who knows? Who knows?

Apparently they talked a lot about Kamala Anderson.

I'm sorry, Kamala Harris calling her,

calling it the Harris Biden campaign.

The Harris Biden administration,

they're tying it like that now.

Oh, they're very clever, those Republicans.

See how they do that.

Has it been proven or disproven that Andre Jack

has actual gravitational pull over the tides in Lake Michigan?

It has not been proven.

He did say this so.

It goes to show you how far left we've lurched

under Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders

and the Democratic Party.

Jack said in response to a question,

an employer-sponsored healthcare,

equating the Vermont's politicians, self-described

socialists beliefs with Harris

and the rest of the Democratic Party.

You know, a lot of folks are down

for some Medicare for all, Andre Jack.

I mean, you're a sitting Wisconsin State Senator.

You have government healthcare right now, don't you?

I wonder who paid when he spent what a month

intubated with COVID, because he was unvaccinated.

If I recall, as the story was reported,

come back more devil's advocates chasing that dragon.

I always try to get it right.

Morning, listening to the devil's advocates

may expose you to a posing view.

Welcome back to the Devils.

Afkins, radio show, thank God it is Friday.

Air and the grievances up here, 844-967-2789.

Rich, what song was that?

That is Queen.

I'm going to sing a song for you.

I'm going to sing a song for you.

That is Queen called Dragon Attack

from the same album that had another one bites the dust on it.

Oh, good call.

So there you go.

You know what?

You hear when you play another one bites the dust backwards

on the vinyl.

If you play the record backwards,

I've done that literally.

Okay.

Queen, never smoke marijuana, smoke marijuana.

Oh, my God, it absolutely does.

I don't come on, man.

If you have a vinyl copy of another one bites the dust,

the other whole weird sound thing,

that's backwards recording.

And it says smoke marijuana, smoke marijuana.

So what they, how does that work?

So they wrote the lyrics so they would specifically say

smoke marijuana backwards?

No, I think they recorded something backwards

and they threw it in.

If you do me the favor of pulling up another one bites the dust

later in the song, it's like you hear you hear some sound effects,

right?

If you take the vinyl album and you play it backwards

as my cousin Patrick did on Christmas day of 1982 for me.

First day I'd ever been exposed to the clash.

Should I stay or should I go now?

First time I had ever heard that song.

And also he played Queen.

Another one bites the dust, played it backwards for me.

I'm pretty sure it was that same day.

Christmas day had nothing better to do than hear Queen playing.

Smoke marijuana.

I thought when you played like rock and roll back,

or is this supposed to worship the devil or something, man?

Well, if you listen to the devil's advocates radio show,

that's close enough, Tom.

844-967-2789.

Apparently, my phone's allowed me to re-enter with her without a pass.

Oh, excellent.

So I did want to clarify for the sake of the audience in case somebody's knocking

on your door this weekend, the Kamala Harris campaign set to launch

door knocking effort in Wisconsin with a hundred days to the election.

Countdown from 100 down 99 bottles of beer and a wall.

With just 100 days until the November election, volunteers from the newly

minted presidential campaign of Democratic vice president Kamala Harris will be

fanning out across Wisconsin this weekend.

And more than 1000 volunteers will be knocking on doors across the critical

swing state.

Her campaign said Thursday, the weekend of action comes on the heels of Harris's

West Dallas rally on Tuesday, the first such event on her campaign that kicked

out in a sprint to November for Democrats presumptive nominee to take on

Republican former president Donald Trump.

Boo, that guy.

More from the reporting at the journal sent online.

The path to the White House goes through Wisconsin.

Harris told the crowd Tuesday, and we are counting on you right here in Milwaukee.

Now, the last week has been anything but ordinary.

I'd say dumb.

Helped with sugar rush, upending a presidential race that long look like it

would pit and come at Joe Biden against Trump, whom he unceded in 2020 on Sunday.

Biden 81 dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris.

We know that part on Monday.

Harris secured the support of enough delegates to become the Democratic nominee for

president and the Democratic national convention.

I'm very excited about that event.

That could be the most important presidential convention of your lifetime,

at least from a coverage perspective, because we've never anchored bell to bell coverage all night long time.

August 19 through 22nd, though the Democrats have laid out plans to hold a

virtual vote to pick a nominee before August 10th.

And just a clarification, this is because of Ohio's bellic qualifying, I believe.

The event is being held very, very late.

And I had warned, or at least, you know, not that the Democratic Party ever listens to crudey,

but I had mentioned this would seem awfully untoward.

If they forced, if they marched forward with this, and it looked like an effort to, you know,

put Biden as the nominee before the people were ready to make that decision at the convention.

Well, obviously Biden is step aside, but the virtual roll call for Harris is still going to happen.

But just for clarity, sake, this is a timing.

This is a logistics issue.

This must occur to qualify for all the ballots for the Democrats.

So you're going to have no specific issues.

Correct.

And it's, that's going to have to happen before August 7th.

And of course, before that as well, it's just to pick her vice presidential candidate as well.

So a lot, lots to be done in the next 10 days.

I could a little more from the report in general set and all volunteers were recruited across from across the state following the Tuesday rally,

joining more than 100,000 across the US who have signed up according to the Harris campaign.

Harris's husband, second gentleman, Doug M. Hoff is also set to visit Warsaw to attend and speak at the seventh annual

among Warsaw Festival on Saturday, making his first visit to Wisconsin this year.

Democrats also have 160 full-time staffers and 48 offices in Wisconsin, the campaign set.

That's a lot.

That is one thing the Democrats were doing a hell of a lot better than the Republicans.

Even before this switch at the top of the ticket, the ground game, the Democrats are organizing.

Democrats have field offices, Biden's campaign had infrastructure.

Now, Trump's campaigns doing better than it did in 2016.

They were clearly winging it then, but they don't have anything close to the infrastructure on the ground in the individual states,

especially the swing states like Wisconsin.

I mean, they got the thing over on Martin Luther King and Milwaukee dude, the office, they never bothered to open.

You know, unless the press is in town for the RNC, then Monday Tuesday only.

I mean, I drive by that quite a bit on North on MLK and it's rarely open.

A market university, political science professor Julia Azari called the move to open the campaign in Wisconsin.

A direct response to any of the inevitable comparisons with the Hillary Clinton campaign.

And the big critiques noting Clinton did not campaign in Wisconsin after the 2016 primary.

I think it illustrates a likelihood that this will be the tipping point state.

Azari said, oh, yeah, eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine.

Isn't Wisconsin always seemingly amongst the tipping point states?

I mean, it had been a blue wall for some number of years, but it was always very, very close, right?

John Kerry barely scraped by Barack Obama didn't struggle in the same way.

Hey, camclaims, holy crap, crudy wasn't lying about the reversed final on the queen song.

Do we, do we have the queen song rich? Can you play a little snippet of the queen song?

I don't know if you can play it backwards, but I want you to hear the part where if you were to take the final record.

Roll the backwards, trust me, me and cam.

I'm not sure this is the, the spot.

Listen to the back sound.

That sound.

That weird sound in the background, put it on the vinyl, roll it backward with your hand.

That's what it says.

That's enough for it.

I appreciate you playing a lot.

Trust me, my cousin Patrick did it for.

All right, man.

All right, all right.

I don't, I don't have a record player.

I can't believe cams got a queen at home on a record player either.

Cam, I feel like you're stroking me a little bit, but you know, it feels good to have you with my call for a change.

It's been, it's been known to be done from cam.

So you always got to take with the grain of salt.

Eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine.

We got a few people texted along today so far.

Song requests, some 80 song dinosaur dance thing.

Everybody.

What is that?

Find young cannibals.

Get on the floor.

Everybody to do the dinosaur or whatever.

That's not exactly a dragon, but I appreciate your contribution, Tracy and Johnson's Creek.

I don't know if I perceive that as a chasing the dragon song, per se, damn.

What do you think?

You'd be the judge on that dinosaur dragon.

Same, same, same.

Pretty close, man.

You know, we've actually, you know, dinosaurs were real.

I mean, I don't think that, you know, Jesus rode a dinosaur in the earth as, you know, older than five or six thousand years old.

So I mean, I think you could, you could swap the two, you know, the Commodo dragon, right?

There's dinosaurs close enough.

Tracy has made a song request.

It's not a dinosaur or a dragon song.

She apparently likes to read the Franklin R E S B C T.

See what we can do during the course of the day.

I don't speak for the DJ's spin in the disc in there.

Matt from Milton said, I would love to see Beyonce close out the DNC and be able to compare.

Our energy to the Yon Fest that was the RNC.

You know, we have real stars.

There's going to be electricity in that room.

God, Bayo Ted Nugent can rock.

Come on, man.

Republicans got stars.

I mean, Donald Trump.

He was a star in a reality TV show, man.

He was in Home Alone 2 or something.

Oh, Cam says.

I use that really nifty thing called YouTube to look it up.

I can show you some time if you need some help.

Oh, man.

Is he calling me a boomer?

And Tracy pretty close.

Tracy says, Dom, you need a record player.

Yeah, I know, man.

I don't have any records anymore.

I know.

It's I went to a bar and here in in baby in Milwaukee, not too long ago called a wiggle room.

And they had it was all records placed super cool.

I mean, very 70s by man.

I love it.

I've been involved a lot.

There's a lot of work going down in the back.

Uh, and they just said, you know, tune, turn tables and adoages, playing records.

And I didn't know hardly any of the songs was a great vibe.

It was super fun.

Uh, no, I think you're right.

I do need to, you know, blast out of record player, again, get some albums.

You know, that one weekend we were up in CD number three.

And I was, I think we went to the liney sledge at the end.

We partied with Pak Wright, low oh and we met candy.

We're back a crook, uh, cook, and Katie Berg and a few others.

The hotel I stayed at in Eau Claire.

It's called the Oxbow, I believe this little boutique hotel in the downtown.

And let me first say Eau Claire's got it going on, man.

I love that town.

The tap 93.5.

No one can hear us there for another 15 minutes.

But anyways, if you ever stay in Eau Claire and you have the means, it's not overly expensive.

But go to the Oxbow record player in the room.

They have a record library.

So when you check in, you go pick a couple albums.

I think I told you the one I picked, right?

What?

Violet fans, Violet fans?

Uh-huh, nice.

And then I think I had sang like, uh, the doors LA woman.

But they had a great collection of albums.

It was cool though, you know, to hear that.

Yeah.

A little static visual before it gets into the music.

Two, man.

You know, you don't.

Ah, this is so much content.

You used to be able to clean your weed on that.

The album covers, right?

A little harder on a cassette tape or a CD.

There was art.

You could read into it.

You could try to get it a feel for what the artists are trying to tell you.

I mean, now it's just everything's downloaded and.

It's your, it's your convenience.

If you want to rewind it, you don't get to, you know, pick up the needle and move it back a little bit.

Hope you don't scratch it.

It was weird.

I was that my cousin's playing record is not so long ago.

And we put some mod and, you know, I feel like six songs.

They had to like flip it over.

Like, what's this?

This is annoying.

844-967-2789.

We have time for Let's go.

Paul.

Welcome, Paul.

What do you got?

Hey, Paulie.

Hey, happy Friday.

You devils.

Hey, the LA woman by the door.

That's an awesome, awesome sign.

Oh, yeah.

It doesn't get much better than that.

They're going to quit grievance and that stuff down in Toronto.

He's scared to beat Kamala Harris.

What?

He's like a big coward.

Yeah, I absolutely agree.

Man, suddenly he's.

He's begging off the ABC September 10th debate.

No, I agreed to debate Biden.

He's a coward.

That's all I can say.

He can't handle it.

He can't handle it.

It's just it's kind of funny.

He'll just keep up making excuses until the time runs out.

No, I wouldn't.

It's better.

Paulie.

But he's just sandbagging.

You know, I mean, you never know what's going in through these guys head

and what their strategy is.

I mean, you just could be saying it could absolutely show up.

No, he's not going to.

He's not going to be better.

You think he's not going to debate at all?

Not even the Fox News offer.

I don't think you even take that because it's going to get his ass kicked.

So he's scared of it.

So that's my agreement for today.

Big bad Donald Trump scared of a female.

You guys thought a great weekend.

Appreciate it, Paulie.

Appreciate it, man.

A couple more on the text line.

Robert from McFarlane said the oxbout.

That's the hotel.

I mentioned in Eau Claire is owned by Bonnevard.

Bone.

What's that bands name?

Bonnevere Bonnevere.

Yeah.

So Claire's lead singer Justin Vernon.

Oh, okay.

So that's sort of a neat fact.

I didn't know that.

And Lisa Joe from Madison.

Friend of ours says.

Claire's day.

Fundus.

Moke Meruana.

They're around 110 on the queen album.

You got to play it backwards.

Final version though.

Come back.

Well, spin some desks.

And Jeff did point out this is fine young cannibals.

I don't know if it's quite a dragon sign, but you know.

Perhaps it's the final version.

More devils.

The devil's advocates may not agree on much.

But funny is funny.

Thank you for listening to the doubles.

I think it's a radio show.

What you want?

We got it.

Dial us up.

Eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine.

Now what's that was not was not fine young cannibals.

Thank you.

The last one.

The last segment.

Outro.

Yes.

Yes.

I didn't remember some club song from 1989.

But I pretended like I did.

But I got it wrong.

DJ crew.

You're a DJ, man.

I didn't remember was that was.

I thought it was fine young cannibals.

They had a lot of like top 40 sort of songs at that same time frame.

Sort of embarrassing for the American culture, I'd say.

Now I have a question, Rich.

It was brought to our attention by a cam frequent contributor.

Let's call him cam.

Yes.

Yes, he contributes.

Cam said, hey, boomer, go look on the YouTube.

Because I've made the representation, Dom.

And, you know, I don't ever want people to think I'm just making this up.

You know, like whether or not JD Vance is alleged to have had sex with the couch.

Well, the allegations have been made and we can't prove it one way or the other.

But, you know, in the sense of accuracy, Dom.

We went to YouTube and we verified Cam's words.

And whether or not crudy was making a fair representation about the queen song.

If you played it backwards, the smoke marijuana or whatever it said.

I mean, I still remember it from Christmas day in 1982.

Very memorable.

I had never smoked marijuana at that time.

Maybe it encouraged me to do so.

Or see those damn rock and rollers, Elvis shaking his hips.

It wasn't much after that time frame, like 1983 summer of.

But anyways, just a little taste of what I'm talking about.

Rich, play it for the people straight from YouTube to your ears.

Hey.

Another one bastard.

Another one bastard.

Ow.

Another one bastard.

Hey, hey.

Another one bastard.

Hey.

Now I told you on the album, should this is where it comes?

Yeah.

Play back.

No one.

Yeah.

No one.

No one.

No one.

No one.

No one.

No one.

No one.

And I'm pretty sure it says something to the effects start to smoke marijuana.

So I did some of us smoke marijuana on the smoke marijuana.

Both of those things are true.

All of those things are true.

So I was educated.

I wonder how my cousin Patrick's doing.

It's been years and years.

But anyways, my big takeaway, the class, should I stay here?

Should I go and the play that album backwards?

And it says something about smoke marijuana.

He did it a lot slower.

You know, the hand spinning.

844 967 2798.

Now I can see you spinning.

You given the record, the phone number backwards now to 844.

967 2789.

Rudy.

Oh, did I get it wrong?

Not the first time, baby.

Not even the first time this show.

Was not was fine young cannibals.

Who knew they were different bands?

Yes.

Hey, man, stick to politics.

They're DJ crew.

I wasn't pretty good DJ in my time.

I kept the beats dropping.

I kept them dancing on the floor.

Downed cheers on third street.

You know, I love the music when we were in college.

Man, all the grunge came out back then.

The hip hop really blew up.

Man, it was, it was a great time for music.

I thought we had some of the best music ever.

I think many are nostalgic.

You know, you talk about when was America great?

We've talked about this notion.

When was America great?

And psychologists will tell you when you were in middle school.

That's when people perceive America to have been great.

They have a great nostalgia for their early teenage years.

And I don't know why.

You know, I prefer my later teenage years.

I had better luck with girls.

Come on.

Today is the greatest day ever.

Man, I want to go back to middle school.

That sucks.

Gotta be sitting in the classroom told what to do.

Go out and play outside and you recess.

Get back in.

Dominic Ray on the chalkboard.

You were naughty.

You know, no, man, no one's told me what to do.

Not make my own decisions.

Make some money, man.

These are the best greatest times to be alive.

Well, every day is better than the last.

You have more personal freedoms than any human being.

I've ever met now that your kids have aged out at the nest.

You live the life of Riley, dude.

No wonder why you think every day is the greatest day ever.

Lisa for Middleton.

It's a great day because you called us.

Welcome.

Hi, Lisa.

Hello.

How are you guys doing?

Excellent.

Great.

So I have a mini grievance and it's with you, Rudy.

Because yesterday.

Come on.

We're putting.

Yes, that was yesterday's show.

You greeted me correctly, but then you called me Linda.

Oh, my bad.

It was on the screen.

It was this her name, Linda.

And I spent my whole childhood being called Linda Lisa,

because that's just how my mom did it.

So that's all I know.

But I have to say on the smoke marijuana, Freddie Mercury.

Another one bites the dust.

I heard a word that could actually jeopardize your FCC license.

And they have to be careful with playing that again.

And it's still not as good as I buried Paul at the end of strawberry field,

which you don't even have.

Kuku Kuku.

I have the walrus Lisa.

All right.

Well, have a good weekend, guys.

Look forward to the rest of the show.

Lisa, so sorry to mislabel you.

I blame.

You know, because he's right there.

And he's such an obvious player.

I told it last.

Yes.

Because Kuri took the call.

You know, welcome to you.

And then he called you Linda.

And then I wrapped up the call and called you Lisa.

It was written properly on the on the stack.

Thank you, Rich.

It was just, you know, dirty being pretty.

It's okay, man.

I'm not going to put this for me.

I'm not going to put this.

Oh, what do you want, Ray?

Jack.

Come on, man.

That's not a few people in the room.

You'll be fine, man.

Just plow through it.

Just plow through it.

I plow through life, damn.

Not all of us live the life, Riley.

One day better than the next.

Every day, since the day I met you,

it's gotten just a little worse.

More devil's advocates on the other side.

Perhaps the greatest radio show ever.

We'll see.

We'll see.

We'll see.
