These gay-hearted hunters, these guys dressed in red.

Now you can find them all over and you don't have to look far

in the stores or cafes or drinking at the bar.

Their talk is of hunting before going to bed.

Now in the season is open to the timber they go.

I'll open and pray for a light fall of snow

for it makes good trekking and it may bring them luck

to go home successful with a very nice buck.

But we all can't be lucky.

For this we all know regardless of the weather.

It may rain or may snow but lucky or not.

I got my first deer last year.
