Community Voice · Thu Oct 22, 2026
Good morning, welcome to Community Voice. I'm your host Keith Pearce. See, there they go. There we go again. At least Mark didn't have a penis redundant like you don't see it. The magic marker. The magic marker. Good morning. Good morning. Oh, y'all ain't nuts man.
What a Clark Kent, how are you? I don't know. Doc, it's on fire here, ain't it? Rufus? Rufus. Doc, chairman of the board. You didn't ask me why I'm calling you Rufus. I was about to ask you why. Rufus Thomas. Rufus Thomas.
Rufus Thomas used to come out in the shorts Somebody uncle though with a short set Stacey out in some right, right? Oh, man Rufus Thomas do the funky chicken, y'all
And I know somebody out there laughing, but some of y'all brothers got some little short sets don't even try to man Sky blue That is most definitely down south because when I was in the south
one of my camp folks came out the house, had on the short set some high black church socks, some, I don't know if they was called hush puppies or whatever they called and the Kango. I'm like, dude, where's you going? Yeah. You know what?
I think that's going to be, I do, I do child support jeopardy. And so we have a category called Milwaukee unique things that are unique or we say in Milwaukee, right? I think I'm going to drop one on there for hustlers, which is no more than the old desert boot kind of square toe. That's what they were. Yeah, when I got back to Milwaukee, people thought, yeah, dude was wearing some hustlers. What a hustlers man.
Yeah. Oh, I think that, that, that, that, that, that thing, you know, as I was driving, this is not directed at anybody in particular. So let me do that disclaimer. This is not directed at anyone in particular. Why you got on a running suit if you don't run? It should be a walking suit. See, that should be one of your Wednesday questions.
That should be a Wednesday question. Why are you wearing a running suit and you don't run? You know, that almost falls into that, why do a refrigerator have a light in it when you don't supposed to eat at night time? It's like, why put a light in the refrigerator? The question is, is the light on when the refrigerator doors close?
And it's great. Wait, don't answer yet because when I was little I used to always you know cuz you're standing and you'd see when you open up the refrigerator That light is on so when I was younger I Used to always wonder it's the light on in the refrigerator But as I got older you see
that little uh I don't know if it's a little switch or something when you close the door it yeah yeah yeah so I didn't see that when I was yeah the light is on so when you open it you can see what's in it I don't know if you've ever had where your refrigerator is off the power is off and your refrigerator off and that light ain't on and it's like UK5 that the middle of the day
That's a, you know, when you lose power, see the things that you just get used to. When you lose power, man, you just feel like. Yeah, it's like when you lose your cell phone or if you leave your cell phone at home, it's like, okay, now I don't have the what I'm used to having every day with me. There's an H in her name. Run. Run.
Today is my wife's birthday. Happy birthday, brother. Let me apologize. Hey, but what's so funny? This cat looked and was like, hey, Clark. I got enough problems with this woman. Call and welcome to the program. Good morning.
Let me do it now. You can't sell it on my program either.
I'm going to kill all the people that I'm going to have on my trench coat. My name is Winnie and I'm going to pull up this coat. My name is going to be Jimmy and I got my hand in with my shirt falling off that. I'm going to be selling my shirt. I hear you. I hear you. Get your peddlers licensed. I'm going to say it's coming up on November 1st. Yeah, and put the man on fire on my truck.
You found your strike. Yeah. Well, it's not indeed as if there's two strikes there. Gotta be three. Gotta be three strikes for it to be indeed us. Yeah. When I get my phone, it's gonna be full. What is it? And then it's what?
for the sneaker war stripes for uh what was that uh swiss k swiss that's four stripes okay well oh i'm gonna go oh because it's a throwback there is i'm gonna go old school
You brothers remember the pro kids? Yeah. They were two strikes. Yeah, two strikes. Two strikes on the side. I remember they first came out with the letter ones. Yeah. What was them ones from Paylast? I don't know. Don't play like you don't know. Don't even try. Yes, dear. Yeah, because these were not the letters following my son.
before Jenny got his collar at, he was like, bring it over here, I'll fix it first. Now it's like, you know, I can't tell you so many about my love and I'm not putting stuff over here. I said something. All right. Appreciate you. All right. Thanks for the call, Salise. Uh-huh. All right. This is a Bishop Daryl Hines story going back, back in the day. And that's what I always liked. I really liked brother after this one. He used to work at
I like. And so I was down, down, looking for some shoes. And he said, hey, man, this ain't your spot. Wait, elaborate, please. What he was saying was I see the shoes you wear. This ain't your spot. I'll never forget that, man. I was like, was I saying that?
He worked where? He was working at Odd Lot, then. Odd Lot, now? Oh! Yeah, down on Third Street? Yeah, well, in other words, what did he mean by that? He meant that the kind of shoes I'm wearing, I'm not going to necessarily buy or find at Odd Lot. And I appreciated that, man. You know where? So it was basically a compliment in there. Yeah, oh man.
I still remember it after all these years. So you've always been a shoe guy. I've been a shoe guy, man, as soon as I'm gonna really go old school for some of you old school folks. Clark, I don't know if you can put it up on the, pull up the chat. There used to be something I must have been about. Ooh, man. Pro wings. Eight or nine. And I got a pair of shanks.
Shanks. Shanks. You gotta go be old school and know what I'm talking about when I had a pair of shanks. Man, I always, I don't know what it was, man. I always liked shoes and it just became my thing, man. I had a pair of state streeters. Oh, really? State streeters? Yeah. You've never seen that brand? Deacon Davis had a Davis family shoe store right there on Tattone and Center. Oh, I remember that. Yeah.
And I went in there and he hooked me with a pair of state streeters man. I wore them shoes with everything jeans They were dress shoes though, but they were the most comfortable I'm sorry good. No, no, I took them to the shoe shop man to get them repaired I did like white folks do you know white folks will take one pair shoes and they get them fixed They don't throw nothing out me too. So you what were you about to say? I was gonna say that I can remember I got my first pair Chuck Taylor's I was at just
graduated from the sixth grade. What do we mean, Keith, when you get to Chuck Taylor's on the inside of the tongue and said irregular? I wouldn't know. No, because I got, that's what, I got mine from J.O. Marcus and they always said irregular on the inside. I got mine from Michael McGee. Oh, Warner. Warner. Yeah, Warner. My first pair of Chuck Taylor came from Michael McGee. Wow.
Yeah, man, I was sixth grade, man. And I wore those up to the stars. Wow. Wow, that was on your ankle then. Man, I wore those shoes out. And then I think I got my first pair of leather sneakers when I was 13. And let's see. Oh, the sneakers. You know, it was from
There was a shoe store. I want to say Tom McCann's. But I do remember getting them. They were down. This store was down on Wisconsin Avenue downtown. And my fantasy was I would walk past Bronovans over there on North Avenue. Because back then the high end shoe was Flow Shine. Which is crazy because Flow Shine bought Stacey Adams.
So they're all the same company now, but yeah, Fluschens and I just go by a look at those because at Parkman they were wearing the Stetson's and it was a pointy toe Stetson and there was a steel thing that you could put like around the took the coat of run of the toe. No, it was it. No, no up or you know where that cover you could put. I didn't know what you describe it on the shoe. You could put it up.
So at Parkman, man, people were, man, those, those Stutzens, so if you had some money, it was Stutzens. And then my first pair, I'm talking like high-end designer shoes, which was like, this is crazy, was Pierre Cardin. Oh, yeah. I'm nice with 40s. And here's another, this is Daryl High's story. He was working at,
Jotty Walker's and he ordered those shoes were first time I've ever ordered shoes So it's been You know that shoe game now Adam Adam. I did some spectacular misses. I mean, I got some shoes. It was like ooh, but Yeah, man, I'm man, and that's the thing and I said happy birthday Rhonda. Let's see what the crawl looks like now
Happy birthday But you know that's one thing we both have in common who was in here laughing of Jermaine was laughing about I Said that if I get a divorce. Oh, yeah, taking one shoot, you know, hey man Clark and I were out there today and They were talking about some lady She said she Cut one arm and one leg off
all the man's shirts and pants and everything and folded them up real nice and everything, put them in the suitcase. So he didn't discover until he went to go wear some of them clothes. He didn't have them. She had taken her half. She had taken her half. That was funny and we immediately thought about you in the one shoot. Yeah, because I know that that's the three things we have in common. We both baptized. I know. We got baptized. We both baptized.
We both like the same piece of chicken, and man, we love shoes. Man, we were in New York one time, and I think we're at the Ted Baker store. And man, oh, you can just hear us squealing. We squealing all through the store. We're on the bus of shoes. All these shoes were so nice. They were so nice, man. But yeah, I love shoes. You know, get you some ballets while you're in New York? I had ballets. I wore ballets. That's a good leather. Yeah, I like ballets.
But if I had money, if I had some real money, then I would probably be wearing, what is it, Tom Ford. But I'll tell you a shoe that has lasted the test of time, if you will. And that's that good biscuit toe, if you will, Stacey Adam. Stacey Adam is a well-made shoe. Yeah.
Yeah, I got a shoe booted in that comment that I recently acquired and I love it the way it looks with a suit and so forth. It just it just hits right man. Yeah, man my my And I Michelle loves these these this dude was out talking about why we should wear Chelsea's anymore Chelsea's is what a lot of people back in the day called either beetle boots or celebrity boots But I bought a pair there's a company in England cobbler union
and the leather just gets better. I mean, it's such a nice piece of leather. So yeah, man, if you can, I don't mind paying for a nice pair of shoes. I remember I was talking to my mom and I was telling her how much the shoes cost and she said, yeah, well, and you say that to say what? So, and my sister would always be, I don't know where he got, hey man, because by the time I got to high school,
you know my mom had three kids in private school and my mom was paying the freight right so you know you're gonna make sacrifices and one of the things where I mean we had nice clothes my mother always shopped at gimbal she always shopped at boston's store in the basement but you know we we had so it was always you know just having
Really nice shoes. My mom always say take care of your feet, you know nice shoes, but a nice pair of shoes They say you take care of your feet your feet will take care of you. Oh man, cuz you own them all the time, you know, but There's a couple of people who listen to the program and these two sisters Whenever they see me the first thing they see what you win, but that's you gay. What's that shoe game? I told you I told you some time ago Keith
It was something you said and I never really paid it any attention, but I find myself guilty of it as well. You know, you look at people's shoes before you look at any face. Oh, yeah, man. Well, because a lot of people, they have, how do I say this? They have a foot fetish because when you were little, you spent so much time around, you know, the ankles. And so you saw feet, saw shoes. There's people who have
they like lingerie and a lot of times it was because you know your mom would hold you and you remember so it's how we develop these things finish is just something you like you know they ain't you know I know people have but yeah man people will look at
They look at your shoes and it drives me nuts when you can have the coldest soup my my my my former haberdasher. Perry Newsom used to say key for do come in here and drop two grand for a suit. And then spend $15 on the shirt and $40 on the shoes. I'm going no man you you know your shoe game got to be tight and you know what we're young. Let me say this about my brother. My brother got the coldest sneaker shoe game.
Gary man Gary sneakers be like oh man, and I you know I go either way with with sneakers Because some of the spaces I travel in though. I'm probably I have to Be a little bit dressier, but man. Yeah a nice pair of shoes dude. It's like I had these y'all said those black and white converse I'm wearing from time to time chucks and I saw those
Yeah, and and they were cold my wife when I'm about the same pair Lucky I mean if you go in And I try to be careful with that is because certain shoes and converse would be certainly guilty to me They don't have enough insta right and art support for me now. See how they play basketball shoes. That's all we had
But, you know, they just don't have enough. Connie Hawkers, man. Even when Adidas and Nike, he was still the NBA, he was still wearing those high-top chucks. Yeah, so, but yeah, you're right. I'm surprised, not more broken ankles. Right. But it, and now when you look at shoes, man, the design of, especially sneakers, there was ergonomically, I wear a...
I have a pair of Nokas. Those shoes are ergonomic. They're good for back support. They were talking about, you remember, air flights, Nike air flights. Oh yeah, thank you. And they were talking about how those shoes were built for like Charles Barkley. Barkley had some we call Barkleys, but because you're up and down, it could absorb, you know, the weight. But then you had people like Jason Kidd,
And Michael Jordan, they said they wanted to fill the floor. As a matter of fact, when they built that first, what is it? Air Force One. Remember, not Air Force One. Jordan's, the first Jordan's, what are they called? Yeah, because the Air Force One is what folks call the dookies. Those are dookies. Yeah. But he broke his foot because there wasn't enough support.
in that shoe. So they redesigned it, it went into air, and at one point Nike owned Cole Haan. And so Cole Haan then incorporated some of the Nike technology. So like Cole Haan's a very comfortable shoes. Very comfortable shoes if you walk in all day. That's the other thing about a good shoe. You can be in it all day. Did you ever own a pair of Rockports? No, not old enough for Rockports.
it wasn't an older person's shoe. You know people were saying the new balance was like new balance was old guys shoes that was like their shoes. But those shoes were made with all of those things in mind to support the art support the in step high in step low in step you kind of it was basically what you wore if you couldn't go to the Goodfeet store somewhere and buy those high-end medically.
May choose so yeah, I mean you and you don't think about especially now someone who deals with a with a back condition How important that support is and that you know you you're walking upright But I see people out and I'll be going like I think you too old for those pep shoes You know, it's why when I see people running around in these crocs and this stuff man They're gonna be in the doctor's office the car is office soon
When you're younger though, you can, you're in a different situation because I would see people, I'm like, there's like no support. Your foot is literally on the ground. You know, especially certain type of sandals, you know, like your foot is, and you feeling that man, but no, you'd be able to be comfortable when I went out to, when I went out, I went out for the, it was the unveiling of the King statue. I picked the wrong day to wear pimp shoes.
MLK. Yeah, man, I had to walk in because the president was there. They had this perimeter, right? So I just couldn't walk like how I got in. You didn't have your press pass? It didn't matter. I had to almost walk up to the Lincoln Memorial and walk down past the reflecting pool to get to the, uh, yeah, get to that subway stop.
I was like, man, I picked the wrong day. And Diane Carroll said, you know, I picked the wrong day to wear these stilettos. She was in her, what, 70s? Oh, man. So anyway, I'll get back and talk about the debate. I don't know how we got on shoes. Somebody just said, is New Balance still made in the USA? I don't know. New Balance is considered, I think when you talk about running shoes, New Balance, Brooks. And Nike, you know, certainly Nike, man. Nike in terms of technology.
uh there's some shoes out there that cost like 300 people saying like like people say like you pay 250 for jordan's put on a pair of jordan's and you see why you pay 250 because those jordan's like walking on a pillow i know shoes are so comfortable man so anyway um what's my new phone line number five two five three yeah four one four four four four five two five three
414-444-5253, we'll get back, we'll talk about the debate. We'll be right back. With your host, Keith Parris. Thank you, and it's part of our continuum. When JT called in and said that, we talk about the blackest things you could say. He said, I'm getting ready to metal whip.
Meddling is really a black term that people understand. I don't know if white folks say I'm getting ready to meddle it. I think messing with too. Yeah, messing with, but yeah. All right. The brothers asked me what I thought of the debate. I thought it was a draw. Now I'm looking at it differently, you know, because I'm
I'm supposed to try to be as professional as possible when you when you watch it Because Wisconsin is such a purple state. I mean it is The question becomes did it move the needle? I think the people who support David Crowley are gonna still support David Crowley
I think that the people who support Tom Tiffany are still going to support Tom Tiffany. Neither one of them did anything last night to, I think, have any impact on their support. For the eight independents, I don't know. I don't know how they would view it, even though I think it's hard for some people. If you can't say you're independent, if you seem to be voting one way most of the time.
I thought there was a Michelle and I were talking there was a couple of things that I thought I agree when they talked about not certifying the election that I think Tiffany he filibustered he didn't answer the question he he had to be pressed and even when he was pressed he really couldn't answer the question and then
I didn't know that it was because of the money in the race. I didn't realize that's why you didn't certify it So or vote to certify it. So And if we talk about the 2020 election, is that the one that they were talking about? that was something else so on that I There were two issues that I think
Crowley I was supposed to work for it. I was like you need to Address this differently. I thought that whole question about what would you do with the three billion dollar surplus? I would have tied that more into the fact that we have a state surplus, but every municipality has a
They're doing referendums either to for schools. They're doing referendums, you know that whole commercial that they run showing The president of the chairman of the county board and county executive Crowley signing this doing this cake was have we not increased our sales tax It was we were looking at some real like a real financial cliff and then
The other piece of it, put it in context, in terms of Midwestern sales tax, we have the lowest, right? So, you know, this was because there's the need. And I don't know why people say I'm not going to raise, I understand as a politician, I said this, they're not going to come on the program and talk about I'm going to raise your taxes. But at some point, we got to find the revenue, right, to pay for.
those things that we need. We're talking about essentials. We're not even talking about luxury things. We're just talking about making sure that, you know, I thought it was interesting just to position that Clark and others are complaining about lights being out, right? But then the Common Council approves a pay raise. And some people still saying, hey, dude, my lights out, right?
You know so I thought that then I thought the other thing that stood out to me was that Tiffany looked almost reasonable when it came to abortion. And I think that this is what people do they go through the go to the extremes right either nor abortion regardless of the circumstances and then.
Anytime you can get an abortion, which is the other extreme they asked basically and I'm kind of paraphrasing a question about To count executive Crowley about that third trimester first of all third trimester abortions are Done overwhelmingly because of the health of the mother the mother could die So that becomes an issue and then there's some out there saying what the mother dies mother dies well
It depends on if that's your wife, if that's your sister, right? Somebody related to you, you're not looking at it that way. And again, I wasn't part of the debate, but the response I thought would have been, okay, yeah, I'd sign the bill, but I would sign it. And because if it's still in there, that whole veto piece is that that should be done with the consult, and it has to be done with a consultation of a physician and the mother's life.
is in jeopardy. Those are the two things that kind of stuck out. Everything else, they both filibustered as they both supposed to do. They both deflected when they're supposed to deflect. And so when I just watched it, it was like, okay, all right. I mean, it was, it's pretty run of a meal. I don't, I don't think there were any got you moments there. There was some stumbles, but you know, people were, and I was, I'm amazed at how people don't,
feel like they have to answer the question. But then I'm not amazed because maybe you don't have an answer. Carla, welcome to the program. Hello. Hey, Keith. Hey. You know, one of the things I was astonished by was he said, Tiffany said, I'm going to change. They've got an eight year project on the highway, and I'm going to put a bunch of money. I said, you can't deal with seven to eight months.
The window for construction on highways in the in the years only about seven eight months and you you can't do something Well, thank you. Yeah, and then I thought to myself Plus, you don't have a clue what it's like to try to build and we can't pull concrete is hard to focus concrete freezes You got to throw it all away There's all kind of issues around well construction plus they did change a number of things between no they now do
asphalt laying all night. 24 hours they could do asphalt, which was a new vehicle because I remember if you remember when everything used to stop in November. And so it has changed, but he going to change it from eight years to four years. I wonder how much money he's willing to pay contractors to
to build a highway that's going to crumble in five years. Right, or yeah, thank you for that and and the whole safety concerns. It takes time to do it. I know we all get frustrated with it. He was saying there were people saying that I'm not going to go downtown because of construction. Okay, but if let's say if the bucks were in the NBA championship, people kill it. People get to where they want to get to.
The summerfest traffic is still going to be summerfest traffic the traffic getting especially now the traffic getting to american family field i mean construction is just a part of it and look when we went up when we went to um jamesville man it was so much construction you know so i mean you're right this is the time of year this is wisconsin you can't build year-round like you can and maybe florida and even in florida it takes years so materials and methods
Changed dramatically in the winter and these guys he's talking about it like it's just gonna happen. It ain't gonna just happen because you can't do it You know, so it's it's uh, it was a it was a mistake But I think because of he don't have that construction experience and those of us who've had to work out in some viewer weather in In the winter it ain't no fun ain't nothing fun about
when it's below zero and you got so nowadays that's about the only time they'll stop a project is that if it's really below zero because they can't work you have human beings out there i don't care how skilled they are there's only so much they can do in certain kinds of weather but you know what the other piece of it is that and then in this some ways if there's any good thing because the climate change has been so warm
That people still can get out and work in and during the time that traditionally in the past people wouldn't be doing construction, right? You know, so and I think there's probably technology and other things that allow you to do it But no man and everybody's frustrated. They say fix the roads or expand the lanes But that comes with a cost and that cost is time right and so maybe the way that we we think about it
maybe the way we think about it, we need to take that. But if you, I thought, I thought it was, it was poorly answered. And then, you know, what do you do with transportation? Because it was a whole idea, how do you fund it? Right? And if you cut in the very taxes, and I appreciate County Executive Crowley saying, well, if you keep cutting.
But then at the same time, people still have an expectation of certain things happening governmentally. So how do you make that up? And if you're giving money to the rich. Yeah, you know, Keith, you know, one thing I learned about taxes in the 8082, I was moved by Miller to Ohio and we moved in this subdivision. Then we kind of heard that, hey, you won't be paying any state income taxes. We are happy until.
You start getting bills for the garbage, for the snow collection. So all of you didn't thank you. You thought you would save it. It suddenly had to go to vendors because you still needed those services, but now you had to pay them separately. And so I started to appreciate having certain services when I came back to Milwaukee because I'm going like, man, I used to have to pay.
out of my pocket for certain things. And now it's included in my tax. My taxes may be high, but I quit complaining because I recognize the whole world needs money to do things. And if you don't get that money, you will have a whole city falling apart. I mean, you know, one of the things as you were saying that I was thinking that, um, and this has been going on.
As long as I've been an adult so I know it's been going on longer than that you have senior citizens Whose kids went through public school, right? Yeah, that was paid through through property taxes Now because it becomes a little bit tougher They're saying why don't have to pay the property tax? Well people had to pay the property tax when your kids went through school So when he made that that thing about we have these seniors that was a particular appeal
I think seniors, boomers, have to be more mindful of you benefited and your kids benefited. And now you get to a certain point, same thing. We have another generation of kids who also needs to get the same benefits. So, you know, then the other thing he lied about is that we don't do on average $24,000 a year per pupil. $24,000 a year is Brookfield Academy.
You know Milwaukee only just got up to 16,000 That was based on some other formulas, but then when you look at the cost of education in Milwaukee Then you realize that there's some other things there that impacts on On what we do in terms of school spending and what you're doing look in many many of the schools Buildings are outdated. They're not air conditioned and then here was the little thing that
You know, when I hear people, this whole thing, when he began to talk about choice, now just 100% transparency, I've been against it for 40 years, right? And it seems now the chickens are coming home to roost because what it started off to be, uh, turns into something else. So probably the poly envisioned they changed because they wanted those, those Lutheran and Catholic schools started failing.
and they needed revenue so the you know the Republicans figured out a way to get them that money now they got their flush with cash because they still got the donations of their members and the people who in their schools have a bit of money but even before that though what it was for well they it did do that and then it just opened up the door
There's a whole lot wrong with it, but then it changed to because this is the only way the Constitutionally they could do it. They're saying basically your money That we're taking money that you would have and you can take your money that would be spent in NPS to another school And it didn't hit me until if they remove the income caps, right which they're talking about doing
and you have outstate folks now complaining. See when it was Milwaukee and Brown and Racine, it was okay. But now, people in Wapaka understand if these students are allowed to take the money to a private school, you're basically defunding public education. Hey, man, I got to do a break. You want to hold? Yeah, man. No, thank you, man. God bless everybody. All right.
You'll listen to community voice gonna take a break. We'll be right back FM with your host Keith Paris. All right, welcome back to To community voice. I was talking my buddy and we were talking about 1982 and So he had called me and we were talking about and he said, you know what the blimp is gonna be here I Said do the blimp was here at 82 they don't use blimps anymore
I wonder why did they stop using? Because of drones. Aerial shots of drones now, man. But that would be dope, man, to see the Goodyear blimp again, man. On a domed stadium. No, they was just saying that they was going to play with the roof open Friday. OK. So that's going to be dope if they play with the roof open. And it's going to help, too. I don't think you fly blimps at night.
I don't ever remember. Maybe they do. I don't remember. Well, I mean, like the early part of the evening. Yeah, I mean, but now that was because back in the day when the Goodyear blimp came, I remember that. That meant that this was big deal, right? Because, you know, Super Bowl, see a flight over, but no, man, they don't that. I was trying to tell them to get in the 21st century, man. They drones, drones, man. But they do drone shots inside of American family field. Yeah.
And then in the football, too, they got the drones, whatever, that's on the wires. Oh, yeah, that's the camera. Yeah. If you ever go to a live game, that's really weird to see. It's crazy to see it on the TV. To see the lines that they got. You know, I don't know how many, we haven't had a kicker yet to hit that camera. Man, somebody needs one. Somebody needs one. But in the shot, I love.
I was trying to think, I think it was during the college playoffs last year. ESPN, you know, they had one, they had one channel, which was shot from behind the quarterback. And you have no commentary, so you hear the sounds, you hear the announcements. It's like a live feed, be able to see some now.
You looking at what the quarterback is looking at when they're looking into coverage, which I prefer. It's kind of like the first person view. Yeah, which I kind of prefer. Now, the other shots gives you where you can go in and see, like, right out was on Keith and they can isolate. But I love that shot, man, because, like I said, when you're coming out and going, like, boom, you can see the whole field. Carl, welcome to the program.
I think drones in certain situations is the most trashiest thing ever. You see how the mayor did that 4th of July drone show. That was garbage, man. No bone, no nut. I mean, it's just, I guess that stuff is for, you know, it's in its place. It just can't replace everything, man. You know, we want the bone, we want the big fireworks. He come out there with a little petty, we need to hold him out just for that.
That was the weakest man ever. They're going to have a drawn fireworks show. This boy is what they, what they working with me. That's why we got all this vision zero around here because people went around talking about reckless driving. Now look, he push it in and now we're going to be stuck man. I've seen the MLM stuck yesterday in track. But anyway.
Going back to the debate, I didn't get a chance to see it last night, as much as I be talking. You were saying something about that 400 year deal, did that even come up or not? Oh yeah, Tiffany brought it up. Okay, well how did it work though? What did he say? I mean, I don't think most people understand it, so he was just talking about that he was going to get rid of it. He would get rid of it.
So if nobody understood it, it was pretty boy. Yeah. I mean, the way the question was asked. Yeah. No, I don't know if they asked specifically about that was how you were going to finance education, but then it got into contact. Someone just sent me something. They said, yes. Yes. The blimp is still good year. Blimp is 100 today. And this was done in an article in June 3rd, 2025. I wonder how they modified it. I went out.
Yeah, it probably has been there. They said they have four ships, three in America, one in Europe. So I stand correctly. Thank you for that. This is the company has a trio of airships spread across Ohio, California and Florida. They're still healing field, but they have a semi-rigid and let's see how often they fly. So going back to the blimp, you still a buster like you said they were doing last night.
They never said nothing directly about that for one a year that would mean no property up in five years. I think that most people, I mean, it's been a talking point in terms of- Yeah, but it's really real, though, Keith. Yeah, I think that how it's being interpreted is not the reality. That's just that. It should have been laid out. I didn't see it last night. I'm going to go back and check out some of the highlights of it.
Alright man, I just thought I'd give you all the call man. Alright, I appreciate you. So Fred, yeah man, we still have the blimp. I don't know if it's coming for this because are there any day games? Saturday? Well no. Saturday? Saturday is travel day. No, Saturday is day at home. They play Friday and Saturday. Oh, Saturday, right, but then so then Sunday is the travel day. Sunday is travel day. Yeah, but all the games I thought were at night. No afternoon.
I think Saturday is a game. Let me check before I say anything. Well, I believe Saturday is okay And again early voting if you haven't voted get out and vote Yes, yeah, I think they they had it's a lot of people don't remember this But for a long time there were no night games at Wrigley Field because they didn't have lights
and they finally put in lights and so now they do night games at Wrigley, but if you played the Cubs, it was usually during the day if you played them in Chicago. Yeah, but I don't think the blip is gone. Huh? We always laugh to get something. Well, for a long time Notre Dame didn't have lights. So I didn't. Yeah, at Notre Dame Stadium. Yeah, they played during the day, so.
And, you know, for a lot of people, and I can remember as a kid where most of the World Series games were played in the afternoon. Yeah, in the afternoon. Yeah, and it wasn't, you know, television, some other things really kind of changed the equation where those games are now we play, because you obviously, if you're trying to get the biggest audience, people at work. Yeah. But it's going to be interesting because the Bucks home opener is going to be three o'clock.
But then I heard that they're also going to have a watch party. Yeah, right. Yeah, they having it. So they having it tomorrow at 5 Sir. Yep. No, well, no, they don't know after the after the Bucks game. Yeah, they're going to have a watch party there. Oh, I thought you some of the brewers because they have to watch party out at the out at Miller Park outside this $15 to actually get in. Yeah.
on the ground. So you got to get that kind of. And they're also doing a watch party for the two away games. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? And they might pack. They might pack. I think they should. 3,000 people out there. Well, that was outdoors. Yeah. They said it was close to 15,000 inside for the watch party. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Because it rained and they moved the door. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. I think they should do it. They should show the game at the right of the books.
game is over with. Well, yeah, they are. I'm talking about on the screen. They're talking about staying inside. Yeah, right. No, that would be though. Yeah, I think they should do that because they're going to charge to watch the game. So when they go out, when they go out, what's it next week? It's only 15 bucks. And you know, the crazy thing is if you in Milwaukee and you really want to see the Brewers, you got better chances of being able to afford the tickets in Tampa.
Then you know, yeah, they actually know they actually said getting a flight a Hotel and ticket to the game is cheaper cheaper than a temple all three of that is cheaper than going to the game Here here That's crazy. You get to a flight. Well, I think I think the fan base is so different and that's why we're saying I know people but you know the brewers
It's a Wisconsin brand. The brewers are like the Packers. You know, Packers the entire state. It's the same thing with the brewers, man. So you're talking about people coming in and I keep saying to folks that you go like three grand a ticket. Trust me, there are people that have disposable income is just what they spend it on. I just saw on the news, they had a guy that came from Germany to watch the boys. He's a, he's a Brewer's fan. He came from Germany.
and he bought tickets to both World Series games. Man, let me, let me... Brewers, you gotta do a better job honoring your promotion. Oh, yeah. I mean, come on, man, you just tarnished everything. If you sold one of the forever tickets... Yeah. And people... Yeah. I'm sorry, man. That was something that you did. People dropped the money then.
They should they should you know the same thing with that raffle? Yeah, I mean, you know But I think it was probably set up like that because they gave her they pointed her in the wrong direction She went in the wrong direction and then when she finally got pointed to the right direction They told her she was too late. So wait a minute. So you didn't intend on giving her so what was it 10 grand or something like that? Yeah, so you you really wouldn't go give out the money. Who's my god?
What was what was I'm gonna I'm gonna love you sexy semi-pro. What was his name? Man, Will Ferrell
And we're doing it they got what did they get like free chili dogs or something like that if they won and they scored X number of points and man he had to get up there run out that's what it reminded me of like come on man I mean we'll be talking two tickets I don't know how many people bought those forever tickets but hey man
Huh? They are they are but it at first it was like oh Yeah, no man. Just just that just makes you look like you know, I mean first of all, hey, we're in the world series. Yeah Notice who said we Oh, yeah, oh, now you know Joe $1,000 they paid $1,000 for them tickets. Yeah. Yeah, so I feel that one of them games home game. They should be at a game to
I think they're honoring them game too. A little Saturday on Saturday. And I got, and I think that when people talk about how much you pay, this is the world series. You know, I mean, this, that it's like the Super Bowl, the average American cannot afford to go to a Super Bowl. That's why the Super Bowl, most of the people you see there is NFL corporate sponsors, you know, people who did, but because the cost, because it's the biggest.
The Super Bowl is, people say the World Cup, but the Super Bowl is the biggest game in the world. Yeah. I mean, in the world. Out of all of the games, out of all of the sports. Right. Yeah. I'm saying, and maybe people, you know, they talk about the World Cup. World Cup is big.
and they have millions close to a billion, but in like the Super Bowl one day, and what that one day, and think about where the Super Bowl came from, where that first year they played in New Orleans, they didn't even sell out. So that just kind of tells you where this is gone. Look at the shield to be able to move. So yeah, if you're paying three for it, for grand for a ticket,
It's cause it's the World Series and the fact that it's been 44 years since the Bruce. Let me do this call. I want you to be patient. I'm taking a quick break. We'll be right back with your host, Keith Parris. Let me let me do this announcement. Sunday is the 25th. Is it? But we'll be celebrating.
Pastor and First Lady Williamson's anniversary Sunday. I think it says 40th. Our guest homilist. We'll do 11 back to John Walton. No, no, just in the morning. In the morning. So a lot of people, like they used to have those services like in the, and I can understand, you know,
You know, people ain't nobody going to be back at 325. Yeah, I'd like Sunday to four o'clock. So yeah, let's have a Sunday at 325. Football Packers. Well, yeah. No disrespect. We supposed to love the Lord. I don't want to get George started on this. But no, man, I mean, it is. Oh, let me do kind of an observation. Let's see how much traffic.
Tomorrow at seven o'clock you'll see on the streets for the brothers game now. I got to get away from an event, but it starts at six so Tomorrow gonna be on five man. I mean see how much traffic and people might be going to But probably about the second or third inning. I am it's gonna be Scooby-Doo town. Oh, man. It's this we gonna be seeing they show Green Bay
What was that last week when I was playing no cars No cars And they always amazed because when they would do those shots and this ain't the first time Traffic no Everybody quit. I'm on Lisbon is a pretty well-traveled street. Yes, I can tell you man when the Packers are playing Virtually no traffic. It's over. No traffic So I just know people gonna be locked in big sports weekend. Hey opening day for the bucks Friday three o'clock
Um, I'm not even going to talk about what they look like. Yeah, they play. Oh, they might get a nice crowd out there. LeBron coming to town. LeBron still gonna be in this hotel at three o'clock. Oh, we're going to do a slide. So we're in slide. We're in slide. So again, our pastor and wife's appreciation anniversary is this coming Sunday. Pastor John Walden of the historic Calvary.
Baptist church will be our morning speaker. So if you get a chance to come through pastor Williamson is I mean just just an incredible man Incredible ministry. So if you get a chance, I know people be at their own churches would get a chance to come out and to honor him on Sunday. I think that's it. There's a commonly hear us will be here on Monday. So we hear Monday. Yep
Her and I think was coming with it But certainly to be here and it'd be good to see her You know, she she really got a bad rap based on what she was expected to do with the amount of time and I bought her book There was a lot going on there was a lot going on and it was gonna be real difficult Anyway, because she is a black woman and she's a black woman
two things against it, right? And so there are people who, no matter what, and I think you're going to see that even in this gubernatorial election, and it goes both ways. There are going to be a whole lot of folks, black folks who are voting for David Crowley because David Crowley is black, okay? And there are going to be a whole lot of white folks voting for Tom Tiffany because Tom Tiffany is white. That's the world that we live in now.
I mean, it's always kind of been the world in America that at some point gender and ethnicity, race becomes an issue. You know, right now in Michigan, Rogers and El Said, you know, they're not talking about how Rogers has been so supportive of many of the programs that Trump has put out. No, they're talking about when his mama, El Said's mama,
had affiliations with the Muslim Brotherhood back in the 70s. So when we start talking about issues like that, that means that you can't talk about the economy. You can't because in Michigan, a lot of Trump's policies is making it very difficult for people in Michigan. And so it's a lot easier. So, you know, here we go with the fear. Let's do the fear. They coming to get you.
And, and, and so El Said has to spend more time setting up defending the fact that he's an American. It's like when they would do Barack Hussein Obama, right? Oh boy. Oh boy. This dude born in America. So I mean, I think that for a lot of people, this is their playbook. Uh, when I can't get you on policy, I try to go after you personally, which brings us to Mr. Varnav Swami.
Are y'all familiar with this thing that's going on? Varma Swami, he is running for governor in Ohio. He ran for president on the Republican side. He ran an ad, or still running the ad. Yeah, that was out of order. Where he used Ms. Actons, Dr. Actons, a strange mother woman she has not seen in 50 years. And the woman came out, so originally the
The commercial says that you can't trust that she's a liar. And people go, man, if her mama called her a liar, what does that say? But there was a backstory. And the backstory was that when she was 12 years old, her mother had married this man who sexually molested her and her brother. It had gotten so bad.
that child protective services had to step in to get them out the home and When they charge the man He fled and their mama went with him Okay Yes, she went with him. He's molested her kids She goes with him So the backstory and then it gets to as I sit there listening to those those words that my mama would say some folks can't do wrong, right?
Okay So now It is something that that she never talked about she never talked about section being sexually abused as a child. She never talked about it this dude drops the ad Okay, and then when the backstory comes out and people come to him or you still go run the ad no they put four million dollars in the ad and then as If it can't get worse JD Vance comes out
shows no sympathy for, and that's the thing that I always find amazing about the Republican brand. You say you sold four women, but here you talking about child abuse, right? We're talking about a kid who was raped at 12. There should be outrage. Now she never raised it, and it wasn't until they ran the ads, okay?
This is how desperate this dude is to win and then it shows and I couldn't use the word because the word I kept thinking like this dude has always been a but I can't use the word because of the FCC. And yet and this word gets really crazy right out. There was some people who supported him. Yeah. Going like what's the big deal? What's to see here? And you know I was crazy man. I see JD Vance.
Just came out and said that he's sick and tired Republicans whining whining about the ad and that they need to concentrate on Other things and I'm like dude first of all that's a low blow because to use somebody's mother As a weapon who has it seems some challenges. Yeah, don't know how much they paid her
And old top and the woman have not seen her mama in 50 years because her mama ran off to what her step with the stepfather Who was accused of doing it right was charged? Yeah, wait a minute. I can't find them They looking they can't thank you But you worry you worried about men playing in women's sports Here you have a situation where a child you all four children
You're all for children. Don't let them be exposed to LGBTQ stuff with their children. You come out with that, but then you show no sympathy for someone who is a rape survivor. That's a problem. And the fact that the race is still closed, what is that saying about the people that support this dude? I just had my Michelle moment.
That's crazy, man. And if anybody know me, look, you can kill my mama and I'll forgive you quicker than you molesting a child. I'm just mad. No, I just, that one to me, if I believe in the death penalty, that would be the death penalty. Talk, I'm gonna kill you. I don't believe in the death penalty. I'm gonna kill you at the same rate. Huh? I said, I'm gonna kill you at the same rate.
I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm just saying, man, I just this thing, man, you know, we, we, uh, man, we got it. Our children are that's an impressive man. And on top of that, children are like an empty sponge. So you doing this stuff to them and you hurting these kids and not keeping in mind or even caring that these kids going to grow up.
the stuff that you put in them. So now they got to deal with the issues of of life because of you and your fetish or whatever the issue is with you. You pass your sickness on to them. So now they got to deal with this monster that's been growing inside of them for years. And what does hurt people do hurt people? Yeah. I mean, man, but no, we got a man. I used to tell people
Don't be so trusting about who you let your kids go around. Man, listen here. Man, I'm just saying, man, I just got this thing, man, that it is. Again, I know that sounds crazy. He killed your mama. No, but he molested a child. But you know what? That's a hard one for me, man. Pray for me. Keith, it's almost like, you know, how we was taught back in the day, don't talk to strangers in order to. Stranger danger. Stranger danger. Now.
Times is so different even with lifting uber you go from don't talk to strangers to getting in car with complete strangers Which is crazy to me because you know on the side doing doing living uber on the side I see these little kids. I see parents that sin grown people to pick up your kids Pick up pick up your kids. So they got grown people to pick up your kids
And it's like, like they don't even know, they don't even know who this person is that's driving their kids around. I don't know who that person is. No. You know, I, man, just, just, just better job. I'm sorry. I know I'm tripping on this or some people think I'm tripping on this. No, man. I just got, uh, no, no. Clark, there is, uh, Jackie Zelladon, uh, her dad was my best friend and, uh, her brother.
it was her brother kid named Jeremy and My nephew Terrell and so I love wrestling back in the day. You know, so I said, okay, I'm going to the wrestling match up You guys want to go right? I'll pay for the tickets. I pay for the tickets and I told him you're on your own for merchandise and food. I ain't you know, I'm not doing so And here's how it worked. We got down
Because I think that's the one where Hulk Hogan was wrestling Ric Flair for the first time. And so, man, we get, look, I'm down there for the wrestling match. I said, here's how it works. See the spot we had right now? When this is over, I need you to meet me here. I don't care what y'all did. They could have been buying beer. I don't know. I don't care. So, years later, Steven, which is Jackie's brother, they're out in California. I'm talking to Bobby.
Bobby said, hey, Keith, Steve, want to talk to you? Oh, what's up, Steve? He said, Keith, Keith, man, I really want to thank you, man, for taking me to that wrestling match, man. We had so much fun. I said, Steve, do not get up at my funeral. Oh, man, I took you to that wrestling match because people are stranger danger, stranger danger. Everybody gonna be looking like he did what?
Yeah, so no man. We got it and it happens more often You know that that whole silence in our family that whole denial in our families, you know like a Lot of people don't realize Milwaukee's like the epicenter. It's like the ground zero when it comes to exposing Priests abusing children. Yeah, it happened right out at and this is down on the grounds out in is that
Franklin, not Franklin, St. Francis, where the archdiocese is, where if you go on their campus there, there used to be a school there, it was, I think, St. Thomas School for the Deaf. And these dudes, St. Thomas School for the Deaf, it was right on the campus, right on that thing, on the arch, man. And they interviewed these guys, and the damage that was done to them, the Boy Scouts.
Boy scout I'm talking man like like real damage. So We just got to do a better job of protecting our kids. Yeah, you know, don't be so trusting the coaches It's all right to do a background check because you're most precious commodity your child. Yeah
is with that coach. And you know what I've heard? I've heard people say, because I actually raised a question about, man, y'all sending our kids like it'd be different if you was riding with your kids, but you send your kids with a complete stranger to drop them off or whatever the case. And they say, well, your your information is being recorded, but that's not going to take away from the fact of something happened. You you can't erase that happening to that child. Yes, information.
is recorded and people know who you are and where you're at, but you want to try to avoid anything happening. Well, you know me, man, I got twisted mind. So, you know, we got this situation over here at King. Yeah, yeah. When they interviewed the one mama. I told my son, don't you go to that class? That's all like a black mama, don't it?
Sound like a black bummer, though. He said, don't be around that, dude. Tell him we're taking care of him. Yeah. There's something going on there. And I'm going to be honest with you, man. That's why my mom really didn't want me to be like a musician to take music lessons. It was a stereotype behind that. Oh, yeah, man. You know, just a little too friendly. Yeah. I ain't going to tell you about the dude back in the day.
He had a car full of teenagers supposed to be a basketball team. I ain't never saw those dudes play a game And there's something wrong when you got a wrong single man with a bunch of kids a bunch of kids that on the team that don't play And I was the type of coach man Clark I'm like suffered like I did like this a coach and I get a ride home Hey, I said did I get a ride home when I was playing at this level? Catch the bus. Catch the bus. I'm sorry get the hooker. Yeah
I'm sorry. Get the step in. You listen to community voice. We'll take a break. We'll be right back. I just had another blackest thing you could say. Did your mama ever say is Clark gonna take your butt weapon for you?
Your mom ever seen it? Because my mama said that, oh, it's Jermaine, because I'm done. But Jermaine said, oh, is Jermaine going to take you? You're going to like, you know what? You're not going to whoop me, though, right? Wrong. Call him up to the program. Hey, Keith. What's happening? Boy, y'all went back on stuff. That's all cool.
My mama used to say some stuff, I can't even repeat. Oh, I sanitized it. Oh, trust me, it's edited. You know, you talked about getting the ride. We was educated, I mean, you know, back in the day, but I remember in 70, I think it was 71, 72, me and my best friend, Doug Williams, we would go on to the Lantern Club. So we was out on the corner of third and Berlai, man, it was cold.
And this dude always will ride around the community. He'd be smiling. He'd pull up. He'd look at you. All right. You know, you would wave him off. That day it was cold. And we looked at each other. He said, yeah, man, let's take this ride. He said, but you sit in the back and I'll sit in the front next to the door.
And if his hand moved the wrong way, I'll bash him and you keep them doors open. So we got the car, man. He kept looking around and he kept giving you this strange smile. And we like, yeah, just take us to the Manor and Clubs, right on the corner of Hopkins and Burr-Eye, man.
He got us there. Y'all need anything else? Oh, no, man. We don't need nothing else. We cool. Thank you. We cool. We ain't, we don't need no more. But I bet you, you wouldn't have gotten the courage to do it by yourself. I said, my buddy would have smashed his head out of, we probably wouldn't have went to jail, but I said, you know, it's too cold. We can't stand here and freeze to death. Man, no, I think, you know, in our community,
you know, like people say that, you know, there were certain uncles, you wouldn't let your, you know, let your kids around, right? I mean, and we didn't talk about it because that don't happen in black. Oh, yeah, it did. Yeah, it did. Hey, man, we had a guy at West Division. He was an aide of what, I don't know, he was one of the aides in the building. And he used to always, man, about graduation time, he would try to get all the graduate seniors.
Take pictures. He's gonna he put you in his car. He'd take you out to the car and he takes some pictures You didn't think much about it. Teal. You think about the dude taking your picture? Hey, I didn't have no money. So I I wanted some graduation pictures Stranger danger just went up in my mind my mom and my mama I told my mama later. She said who?
I thought, I said, you ain't gotta go back up there. I ain't gonna, I would never get in that dude's car no more, but man, I'm telling you, that was, you had strange people around and you didn't peep the whole car to sometimes somebody queued you in. So, you know, you go like, man, but even with, I'm like you, children, they off limits, my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren, they off limits, you do something, then I might as well just book my place where I'm going, because I'm not, no.
You there's a punishment for that and the punishment could be your death. Yeah, and I just like I said, man I am I am against the death penalty, but if I was for it Certainly if you molester child, I just I just and look I understand No, I don't understand but let me say this you might be dealing with issues But that doesn't give you the right to abuse a child
Yep message child's life up for their life and it's already tough enough trying to navigate in this world and Then you got this on you, you know man like no man And then when you when you hear these survivors Talk about just how their lives were ruined Relationships they couldn't have normal relationships, you know all these things now there's some rumors about Aretha's first pregnancy
And well, I always thought something was wrong there. Yeah. Yeah. Well, not it was her dad. I mean, I hate, I know they both dead and out of the butt. So I'm just saying that for us, all people, but certainly for us, you know, they said one of the reasons why Catholic priests could get away with it is that, you know, there's God, then there's the priest. And so if a kid would come in and complain, they go, not Father Keith, right? Yeah. And so they talk about how
It was attractive for people who were pedophiles. Like there's the Boy Scouts that now that I had no clue. I had no clue about how bad it was in the Boy Scouts. Yeah, I had a we had them. We had it was in the Boy Scout troop over at 12th Street. But you know, but it was. It was somebody who was older guy. He's take us out to the park. The old stuff and have us fly kites and.
play and stuff, but I don't, we didn't think nothing about that. My mama, my mama probably would have, would have jacked him up because she knew more about people. She'd say, no, don't you go with that man? Yeah. Oh, my mother, here's something else my mother never let us do. We couldn't spend the night at anybody's house. My mother, man, no, we could not spend, we can, we could not spend the night at somebody's house. I mean, she wanted to, yeah, my, my wanted a whole expose on.
Yep, and then you had and then I was listening to it was Wallace Dean Muhammad Elijah Muhammad's son who ended up taking over the nation and and he talked about that whole southern thing about if it wasn't a cousin like a real like a first cousin He said you wouldn't stand over at people's houses for a lot of different reasons You know, I mean it just didn't happen. I mean I never
I never, I can't remember as a child ever staying other than when I was in the south, when I was in Tennessee, and I would go and stay with my cousins across the road. You know, that that was, but no, man, people, I just, man, we just got to be, we, wow, cause I'm tell, it's messing me up right now, even talking about it. So let me move on to something else. Hey, Christopher, why don't you try this call 5253?
because you you didn't put in caps. Mr. Right out keeps hanging up on me every time I call. Okay. I didn't even answer the phone. I didn't need not even it ain't even ringing. I didn't answer it. Bells will be ringing. Yes, sir. When y'all go back though, you know, when you be talking about them days, some seventies or I know the eighties, but the seventies boy, they have some parties back then.
And I never thought of wanting somebody coming in with a gun or anything. It was just... You know why? Hey, Tyrone. Tyrone, you know why? Because we didn't have the guns. That's true. You know, I mean, I try to tell people, there wasn't nobody walking around with glocks. You know, they had a little Saturday night special, like we are now.
Oh, yeah, yeah. What a shorty had. The security guy a little 20, he said a 12. In fact, there was a guy, we went to a game between King and West Division and this guy, he had a starter pistol. You know, one of the ones for the athletic. He shot that thing out. I had never seen the King floor empty that sand.
Man, and so that was the closest you got to anything and we thought he was crazy man. Right now now you get stabbed Oh, yeah, you get cut and my mama or my mama She must have been at a bar when a fight broke out and this dude pulled out a razor and sliced this dude up because you hear my mama talk about it She said I can't stand razor. So I'm saying but now people got guns
Well, they said my mama, when she first came to Milwaukee in 45, said her and her sister, who came up with her, ate the out party. And they said, nobody messes with your mama. I said, why? They said, your mama had a pistol and your auntie had a ice pick. Everybody knew it. And they said, don't mess with them two women, because they don't play.
and they'll take you out. Remember when Money Mike was coming after the shoplifters? When they pull out. He had a razor. He had a razor. That's what Pipsy is. He had like a razor. And he had it. He carried it like a pip-carried it. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. He pulled out that razor. Oh, man. All right. Appreciate your tea. Hey, man. Y'all be blessed. All right. All right.
I'm going to confirm it. I'm going to announce it. I should have confirmed it before I announced it. But, you know, tomorrow in studio will be my niece, Paris Sappho. That was a long clock, wasn't it? Yeah, it was.
I was pushing the button. The lake, the lake here, Jacksonville law would be when, when, when parents coming back, I go, dude, that's my niece. They'll be asking when she coming back, when she get back. That's when she coming back. That's all. Must be the seat. Must be the seat, man.
Don't do it. Don't do it. I just caught on to it. You ever see a church musician at a funeral?
Good morning. Good morning.
Good morning. Good morning. Great show. I appreciate it. Oh, man, really? Because we talked about a little bit of everything, but I appreciate it. Yeah, well, you hit on the election. You hit on the brewers. That's the world right now. Right. I just wanted to throw up a flashing yellow light to everybody, especially the brothers out there. I went into a bar last night. I was down at MPS. They had a little budget meeting. I stopped at a bar afterwards, a neighborhood bar, nearby.
And there was just a handful of people in there, but I sat down next to a brother, and I said to him, I was listening to the debate on my little transistor radio, and he said, what you doing? And I told him, he said, who's running? I said, David Crawley, he said, where's he from? I said, he's from about two miles down the road right here. He said, wow, when's the election? I said, right now. I said,
You can go over to Midtown and he said, I'm going tomorrow. Thank you very much for telling me. So I'm just saying, man, if that's the state we're in, we gotta get going. But that's not surprising when you look at the number of disengaged voters across the board, that there are a lot of people. Now, right now, people might be aware, but then there are a lot of people don't watch television, right? So they're not being bombarded.
with with the ads where you kind of but that's not surprising because you know we talk about uh was it low information voters uh it reminds me when i was in school where they do these four political stratas the powerful the power seekers the political and then the apolitical apolitical is probably the biggest group most people national elections they're paying attention
But and that's right now where the Republicans are can you get a turnout in midterms where people Certainly in the incumbent party are less likely to the turnout. So I'm not surprised that there are people who don't know I'm not surprised at all. I mean, I'm not either. No, you're absolutely right But in this this time in this place that in this candidate in black, Milwaukee, North side of Milwaukee It should not be that way. I think and I'm just I'm just calling to say
It reminds me, I'm reminded of the time when Harold Washington ran down in Chicago and he came out with the slogan or someone in his campaign came out with the slogan, come alive October 5th. And that caught on, they got 50,000 signatures in a short period of time and it can happen, it can happen. And I also- You need to complete that story.
You had in Chicago where Republican never got more than 10 15% of the vote this guy got almost 40% of the vote Right that he ran against as a Republican. No, I agree I just think but I think if you go out to Wapaka There are a whole lot of disengaged especially young white males who disengaged they don't so I Understand that but then I do like
Are you equating this to Obama? Yeah, I'm talking about getting the 97% like they do And you know what happens every candidate that ever runs for statewide Open seat they go to
to peer Wisconsin because they vote at 97%. If we get 97% over on the north side of Milwaukee, I think that's the boat's will for the future. Those are Obama numbers. Appreciate you, man. I gotta go. No, really. Those are Obama numbers. When you looked at what Obama did twice. All right, y'all. Let me thank Clark. Appreciate you.
Jermaine, Apostle, appreciate you. Man, call us. We appreciate you. Good Lord, Willow Creek. Don't rise. Hope to talk to everybody tomorrow. And as always, go from this place in peace.
