Did you call me? I called you this bag. Yeah. Oh, yeah. This thing. No, not this thing. This thing. This thing.

This is going to get it. This is going to get it. This is going to get it. This is going to get it.

What was going on with me and Mrs. Jones? Did he have a thing going on?

We all at home. Say it! Say it! I get what I want to do when you say this and that. Oh my God. And I know my wife appreciates that because he, boy, I joke. I said, that's what Kennedy learned how to cuss. Every time Trump came off, I'm hearing words like, whoa! And Rodney Doug Cuss. Yeah. But that dude. Pull it up out of her. That dude. Here's your man. So I got you on this. Hey, Jack.

What is that what comedians say in the black community? When we say like that, he said saying like that is the blackest thing you ever say. You ever seen that one? Yeah. He said, yeah, the blackest phrase you could ever use is like that. Yeah. I know keys.

But not like that. That's true. Yeah, we kick it. I kick it. But not like that. And then he said, white people beat it with one. White ones! All the black people get it. Yeah, when your boy is on TV and they got the mug shot. Yeah, we used to kick it, but not like that.

That's a good question. What is the blackest thing we can say?

What is the blackest thing we could say? That we understand that if it's, I mean, it's like universal amongst all black people. Yeah, I'm telling you, that's why when they say it like like that. Everybody knew. Black people often like, yeah. Or like cray cray. It's like everybody know all that's crazy. Yeah, but I'm just trying to, what is the blackest thing we could say?

I mean, we got some words, though. Man, it's like, it's so many. So we got some words. M.L. Oh, yeah. M.L. Oh, my God. You mother! What is it? M.L. M.L. You mother! When I was in college, we punctuated every sentence with M.L. Birdie Maxwell, y'all. Yeah, man, we know. It's a down-pro now, Burby. Yeah. It's like the white dude telling the joke about how you could use dude. And he said you could use dude so many different ways and be like, what up, dude? Then he go like...

You in trouble? Dude! I'm going to contemplate now and I'm going to do some etymology to think what is the blackest thing you can say. Call it welcome to the program. They gone.

I guess they're trying to figure out what the blackest thing they can say. Let me do this while it's on my mind. Let me set a Saturday when I was at a past Malone's installation. I got a chance to see Mother Dorothy McDuffie. I think she's like 93. She looks so good. So let me shout a mother over at Metropolitan. So let me shout her out. Man, she looked so good. It was so good to see her.

I think she's like 93, 92, she's my mama's age, yeah. But she looked so good and she recognized me. You know, because when people, you know, they can get older, they can put, man, it was really good to see it. And you said Pastor Malone's installation. What happened? Metropolitan called the pastor. Pastor Rayford E. Malone from Texas and Saturday was his installation services.

Call her welcome to the program Good morning. Good morning and crew. Is Michelle still there? No. Oh wow I wanted that website to the lady with the fashion show. Do you have that Michelle? What happened?

Yeah. The website is events. Tickets. events. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets. Tickets.

then is common threads for cancer should pop up. So that should be what you put in afterwards to take you directly there. Common threads for cancer. Okay, now I'll go back to Keith. What is the blackest thing you could say when you're around your other brothers and sisters in their lab and in talking and they say something that they usually say about black.

And and you don't really appreciate that I said hold on a minute. You don't know me like that And not have to curse somebody out That's the way I put it and I look at them like don't add nothing else to this I'm trying to be polite Christian

and respectful. And then the next thing I just want to ask, and Michelle mentioned it, and I was going to mention it too, because it came up on my feed, that Black folks running around saying they Republican and all this, well, Ken Paxton had a rally. And this Black kid was not, well, in other words, she wasn't allowed in. She was devastated.

Now, Michelle had a lot more to that because she has a following. But you know something, people? You don't have to do any critical thinking. They don't like you. They don't like us. And the reason why they don't like us is because they fear us. Don't get down and disappointed. Be proud they don't want you among them.

because you will discover they're not the real. So, how is that working for you black folks who's running after them right now? I'll let you handle that. But anyway, I want to add another thing. We've got all these insurances that are all expensive. I don't care who you deal with. Why don't we deal with people that we know?

Now, I've been dealing with somebody that's doing commercials for you guys. And that's Cindy with Allstate. Well, she used to be my mom's insurance person. She's good. Anyway, and the next thing is get out and vote. It's critical. Even on balance and all these other TV things that usually don't do commercials.

Thank you for telling you to go like whoa This thing is serious Get off the couch and get your tails out there and both because it's real Have a great day You know her getting kicked out that rally reminds me of the time when Alan keys was running for president on the Republican side

And he showed up for a debate and they wouldn't let him in. They wouldn't let him in. And he's one of the Republican candidates.

And they wouldn't let him in as somebody told the joke. They said that one of the white candidates walked by and he said, hey, hey, hey, it's me, Alan Key. And he said the white dude turned, said, I had never seen that nigga before.

You don't work for the station, you got a WWE shirt on. You don't work for the station. If I look at that, he's like, dude. You don't know me like that? I don't know you like that, man. Come on, man.

I think, I think what, I don't know if this falls into class one of the blackest things you can say is that I don't have friends. I have associates. That's one way thing. I ain't got friends. I got associates. Oh, so you must be lonely.

Well, we do know who the Brewers have in the World Series. Yeah, they got the Tampa Devil Rays or the Tampa Rays. The good thing is we won't have to worry about weather unless a hurricane hits Florida. But, you know, both of them are don't stadiums, so.

So, uh, the guy that won the MVP used to play with rules. Well, Freddie Peralta. Yeah. Fast, fast one, Freddie. Yeah, he won the. Yeah. I didn't realize he got the MVP. He got the MVP. He won about five and a half innings last night. So, yeah, he pitched. He pitched real well last night. He won MVP. Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fast ball, Freddie. Fast ball, Freddie. He did five and a half. So, is he game one pitcher?

No, because he pitched last night Rasmussen and he pitched last night, but that was Monday. So they still got a week though. Yeah, no gay ones. It's Friday. So he won't pitch Friday. It's Rasmussen. Rasmussen is going up against the Wiz against the Miz.

I don't know why. I turn the I don't know why man. My brain do that every time. So, I'm sitting up and and I did watch. I did start watching the ALCS and I was looking at Cleveland. Now, the the Rays had the best record in the American League.

Really? Yeah, so I think they were like 98 games or something like that. Yeah, and so statistically they're almost even in terms of pitching, in terms of hitting. They're not a home run hitting team though, you know. They played three games. They played three times this year and in Gores won two of those. Okay. Three times that they played. I think this is going to be an interesting series. I don't think that the league wanted this because

revenue purposes, but If it turns out if it turns out to be a competitive Yeah series, then I think people will tune in. Yeah, you know, you don't tune in anyway. Yeah, it's the world series. It's the world series. So like the first couple games. Well, like, like I said, the brews, the brews make it.

like I said, they brought life back to the city number one and everybody wanted to watch the bridge at the sea. And last night and last night was the first game they sold out in Tampa. And it and it took overtime though. It took them to play games to get up to that point. So I think as far as the World Series. Now, of course, here is a real big thing. Yeah, because we ain't been.

44 years. Yeah, so it's and haven't and haven't won. Haven't won ever. Yeah, no. We didn't win, but we didn't win, right? Braves won 57. Well, the Braves, but I mean, but that's under the Braves. You said Milwaukee. I just look at Milwaukee. We're not. So, I mean, but when you say Brewers, you know, they don't have a championship. The Braves, I guess, even though they won it here in Milwaukee, they still take that to Atlanta.

No, I think you know. So did we win at 82? We just went. No, we just went. Went to the World Series. We lost the series. Yeah, one of the weirdest series ever. It was so crazy, man. That series, but they still got a parade and they finished second. So, um, brags ain't for losers, man. Only for winners. I gotta go like DJ, man. No passes given on Tuesdays.

We are the champions. Now, I pray that we win, man, because if we do win, I'm telling y'all right now, in front of all of my constituents, I'm not coming to work that night. Debo, I'm telling you right now.

We have listeners. He has constituents. I heard that. You need to get over there and deal with those lights over there on keep by when you got constituents. Hey, you know, I got a little word playing. I'm not even going to repeat the joke that Clark told. I'll do it off the edge. Recall it.

I'm not allowed to draw complexion jokes, but when he told it out, I was like, I guess what makes it okay is dark.

And then it's so crazy. It's my it's my union cemetery We coming up on Halloween Scooby-Doo time and then today was like Scooby-Doo And I'm telling you man, you you really couldn't see in front I came down Burla and but let me let me shout out to people in Burla. They they were

They were cautious to have lights or every now need to get by somebody to have lights or but yeah, man And it was crazy cuz coming to work. I promise you it was so thick But I actually saw when the fall came in because I was outside for a second and it was clear and it seemed like the cloud just

Just dropped from the sky, man. It was like... Yeah, with your superstitions behind. It's the rap chart. It's the rap chart. It's the rap. It's the main male. No. Hey, no. I actually thought it was Sinbad. It's coming down the clouds. Like it's Shabash. Like one of them genies on the clouds. You know, and one of my... What I think is just such a beautiful poetic line.

is the cloud of witnesses. I love that line. Cloud of witnesses. I love that. It's like why is is is like you can't miss it. Yeah. Like man, I actually saw it coming down and I was like

I was looking up at that place. They were sure that I was coming. They came back. Dude, it was amazing though. We saw that in Frisco. We were out there for our honeymoon. And it was hot as it ever been, like 100 degrees every day. And then this cold front came in off the Pacific Ocean. And you can see that fog. You can see it coming. Yeah, man. And we went from...

shorts to have to buy a sweatshirt because we want the Alcatraz. Hey, if you ever go to Frisco, do the Alcatraz tour. Alcatraz? Alcatraz. It is, it is a great tour. So, um, yeah, I see the fog coming in. Wow. And what is it that you get fog when the dew point is the same as the temperature? No, the one the dew point is higher. I want to say higher.

No, because the win is the one is lower and when it's lower, you get like the moisture, you know, things like that. There's a lot of moisture, man, because even though it's not raining. Yeah. So, when you get high dew point, it's it's the humidity. It's the it's you know, it's real hard to breathe. That's the dew point is high. Yeah. That's that's that's the dew point fog forms when air cools to dew point.

Yeah. So the temperature and the dew point is the same. Temperature which air becomes one of the saturated with water vapor and can no longer hold it as a gas. Meteorologist may not come down. Yeah. That's what I include. Oh, Lindsay Slater would explain this. You know, I think she must have been her first, second day on the job and we got those storms coming in and to hear her man. I mean, she she was just laying out the science and what was causing because we had a tornado, right?

Out of the water, right? No, no out outstate. There was a tornado And she was talking about that tornado and how the tornado came in call a welcome to the program Good morning Morning, thanks for taking my call. Oh, you're welcome. I Think that with this world series I Think that David Crowley should seize the moment. He should be all over this and I also think that maybe

You should throw out the first pitch. And you'd have to do the same thing. And one of the things that we always say as Black people, after every sentence, we say, you know what I'm saying? Thank you. Yeah, he got it. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? But now they're saying, for real, for real. For real, for real. For real, for real. Like, what?

But that's just like us saying you know what I'm talking about. You know what I'm saying? No clue You're listening to community voices, I guess one of the subtopics will say what is some of the blackest things you could say

Um, so we're going to take a quick break. And when we get back, we'll talk about the price of going to the world series. We'll be right back. You know what I'm saying? FM with your host, Keith Parris. All right. Welcome back. Caller. Welcome to the program. Good morning. Good morning. Um, before you go into your segment about the baseball, he was talking about some of the things that like people say. Yeah. The blackest thing we say.

Okay. You should do it. You all live. Okay.

when they're explaining something and they do this. And you know, whoop-de-woop and da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.

Oh, no, I got another one. Blasey, Blasey. Blasey Skippy. Oh, you damn Skippy. What is that doing for him? You damn Skippy. They talking about peanut butter, peanut butter and the dog. Who you talking about? Oh, man.

Well, you know that the young folks have taken now is bro. Yeah, bro. I hate that as opposed to bruh

Let me do this Whoa, I'm gonna tell you markets the resell market for the 2026 World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays Started roughly 26 to 2800 for games in Milwaukee while tickets in Tampa So if you're a brewer fan, you better off flying to Tampa

It starts at $980 to $1,100. So there's a $1,000 difference in the cost of the ticket. And I know some people go like, whoa, it's the World Series. It's like the Super Bowl. Most people can't afford to go to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl becomes this corporate event, right? So it's the same thing when you look at,

And spell it bra Yeah, so I'm not surprised let me say something my beautiful black people There are people out there who when you look at them the way they dress what they drive you figure they ain't got no money But the reason why they got money and don't

Right. They spend it so, yeah, they can go to the bank and say, you know what? I got five grand that I can go down and buy tickets for the brewers game, right? You know, we, everything, you know, it's on our back. It's on our back, it's on our neck, it's on our hand, it's on our feet. And it says, and will we drive? Like, well, I mean, because they drive nice too, it says they just don't put their money into

Material things like gold chains and yeah, I mean though soon as you soon as you buy that $500,000 necklace it start depreciating in value jewelry doesn't depreciate. Yeah, dude I mean depending on the jury that you get certainly gold doesn't well what no no no because For my for my yellow canary earrings that I bought man, and I bought them at 4,000 right?

So when I tried to resell them and get rid of them, I can only sell them and it was like $2,700 I was able to get. Okay. For that, man. Yeah, we, you know, it's a, it's a value system. And I remember this dude, he brought the same lunch every day to work, same lunch every day to work. Yeah.

That dude amassed so much money in terms of savings, you know, and it was something I was, you know, from time to time, I go on YouTube, I watch clips and they were taking up the offering at a Colgett Convocation and one of the bishops got up and he said something that was just so poignant but so true. He said, your shoes cost more than what you're going to put in the offering. That's crazy.

Put your shoes on the plate. Yeah. Yeah. Your shoes will cost more. And so when everybody got mad at Drew Ski for doing what he was doing, no, I mean, it is. So, yeah, there's a whole lot of folks you think like they po, they ain't po. Yeah. They ain't po, right? And they'll be able to buy those brewer tickets. With no problem. Three or four pair. Yeah. Yeah. Because the tickets is at like two grand, ain't they? Yeah.

Yeah. That's resell. Yeah. Yeah. That's resell. Now, if you got there and got in line, then, you know, tickets go to season ticket holders first. Yeah. Right. So then they're able to get the tickets, you know, like my sister, it's a buck's ticket season, season ticket holder. So they went to the finals. Now, you talk about somebody going black. Man, my sister disappeared.

But nobody go ask him for those tickets. He was going, she disappeared. Okay. So no, I mean, I hear people talking about that, but it also says something about the market. And when I get after the call, it was something that Jermaine had raised with me last weekend. It's coming up now around the baseball collective bargaining agreement and why there are people who are pushing back on revenue sharing, a different revenue sharing form and a salary cap.

right? Because they're saying the Dodgers had the biggest payroll in baseball yet in the World Series, probably two of the lowest payrolls in baseball playing in the World Series. So, Carl, welcome to the program. Good morning, Chief. Good morning. How does the World Series would impact the black business in Milwaukee? I don't know. Will we benefit from it? I don't know.

So the stadium hold 42,000 people. And let's just say the average ticket is $3,000. So you're talking $126 million in one game. That's crazy money. And they say the hot dogs and one hot dog in a beer is $25.

That's crazy. Yeah, well, I'll tell you what, go to Yankee Stadium. Go to Yankee Stadium, man. I know I spent almost $50 for a hot dog and a beer. You know, I mean, it is, well, but it's what the market bears in terms of what people are going to do. You know, in terms of, I think they were saying they're estimating about $14 to $16 million a day for every home game that they play.

You know because of the media and all the folks coming in and y'all we talk about the world series You know, so like I said, it's like the Super Bowl, you know, average person doesn't go to the Super Bowl. You can't afford it Right, you know now the good thing is What the brewers let me say this about the brewers they invest money in the community, right? Okay through the brewers foundation so

I think it's a benefit, but it's always a championship series. What was the price of tickets in Madison Square Garden last year when the Knicks were on their championship run? Now tickets are already expensive at the garden. Can you imagine what they wear when they're in the NBA finals? The prices just go up because the demand is just that high. And like I said, that there are people there who, they got the disposable income.

You know, I mean, they just they had the money. I mean that that and and that gets into a whole general, you know, I was talking yesterday listening to Michael Eric Dyson talk about how we name our kids and his aspirational, you know, so you name your kids. Let's see. Now Mercedes is actually a Spanish name or Latin name.

People have been named Mercedes the Mercedes the most famous Mercedes. I can remember is Mercedes McCamberrick People probably don't know she's in movie called giant with Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor But what she's also known for she is the voice of Reagan in the exorcist Oh Yeah, they went in and they did some computer generating to do it, but she's the voice in right

And I just started watching the Exorcist because we're getting near Halloween. I remember my roommate from DC took me to the Exorcist house in Georgetown, and it is an actual house there in those stairs. It's a big tourist attraction, but the night we went, it was foggy, it was foggy, and we were right. Hey, I got a question for a write-out.

Yes, sir. What drives you to want to go to the game? What would be your reason for want to go? To the Brewers game? Yeah, to the World Series. Oh, man. Well, first of all, that's an experience that is once in a lifetime because there's no guarantee that you would be able to actually go to another World Series in this lifetime. It actually took them 44 years to get

to this point, I was six years old when they first went. So that's one. Two, the atmosphere is going to be electric. It's just crazy because, again, it's something that the city has never seen before. And I was at the Bucks, you know, when I was down there at some of the championship games, and it was it was amazing just seeing all them people. And it seems like the sports brings everybody together. So it was just a feeling of

Nothing mattered at that particular time, but the game. So just to experience that watch party. Yeah. Yeah. So just to experience that on the baseball side, I want to see what that's like, because I know what it was like when it was basketball season. Yeah. I think being part of history is, you know, is for me, you know, it's the many man march. You part of history. Yeah. You know, and you can't you can't that experience is such.

And then once you get past that, because you didn't spend too grand for the ticket, is y'all better win. Not only that, but if y'all behind, you can expect me to run on the field with a bat and swing. I need to get my money back. I want my money back. I want my money back. I want my money back like that and that 12. Wait, who is this guy?

That's the thing that my good friend

Mark Brown who listens and shout out to mark but mark would always hook me up with just great tickets to go see the bucks But every time I went to a bucks game would mark the bucks would lose

My brother-in-law texts me now, and I'm not superstitious until it comes to the Packers, right? So my brother-in-law texts me. Now, here's the backstory on this. Remember when the Packers played Seattle in Seattle in the National Football League Championship game? And so at halftime, because Packers was dominating. We hadn't dominated Seattle in Seattle like that ever. I mean, we dominated. And I think that was after Phil Mary, you know, all that. So, man, we're going.

We're going like, we're going to the Super Bowl. We're going to the Super Bowl. So then my brother-in-law texted me at halftime. He go, brother-in-law, look like y'all going to the Super Bowl. And I, silly enough, responded back, yep, looks that way. Well, the last five minutes of that game. So he texted me Sunday. He said, brother-in-law, y'all looking good.

I didn't text him back until Monday morning. And I said, dude, you ain't gonna jinx me again because he, you know, so I don't know if there's people out there who's the jinx, you know, or you have people out there that you just go like, dude, oh, I tell you who's the greatest jinx of all time, Donald Trump.

Oh, yeah. The only game the next loss was the game he went to. And then they said that he jinxed another college game. College game. Yeah, now, dude, don't, don't, don't come. Don't come. I know you're the president and this will be all the honor, but yeah, man, that, that dude is really the jinx. And it's probably he's playing on coming to the World Series. I hope not. No, because he'd have to come to Wisconsin. Yeah. And Tiffany don't want him in Wisconsin.

Plus be the loudest boo that this cat would ever get so no listen here, huh? No Tiffany don't want to remember Wisconsin affect him. Oh, right Now we don't want to the brewers game. No, not to the brewers game Not to the brewers. No, no, you can visit down the Tampa. Yeah, you go a golden just jinx them. Yeah

Yeah, all right, bro

Welcome back and again our little subtopic today. What is some of the blackest things we can say?

Hell to the dog. Right. Hell to the dog. Hell to the dog. Okay. Okay. Yeah, that's a classy one. When you watch the game, they play.

All of the black and the blacks just start running That's a joint love moment Okay, all right

Just you know, some folks want to call in from a different state in the union the phone lines We've been waiting for this kind of call I'm ready for one four four four four five two five zero four one four four four four five two five zero what is some of the blackest things that That we can say

I told him that Saturday night, Friday night. Or I think the blacklist thing. No, he ain't calling. He can find us when the Packers lose. He can always find us when the Packers lose. Oh boy. There. Call him up to the program. Good morning. Good morning. I got two black coms next. All right. The black little berry. The sweeter the juice.

There we go. And the other one is, they don't believe fat meat. Greasy. Greasy. Okay, there it is. Have a good day, y'all. Yeah. It was a hard head. Now, what I heard when we was growing up, and I think it was probably because they didn't want to give us no meat, but they used to tell us, meat make you hardheaded. Too much meat make you hardheaded. I don't know how true that is. I'm gonna have to ask you first. It isn't.

on Tuesdays. But they was eating meat, so we like, hey, hold on. Y'all know how I hit it? I remember one Christmas, man. My mama made us feel like you're over-witness because we got nothing for Christmas. No soup for you. I know they don't celebrate Christmas, but we baptized. We do celebrate Christmas. What?

Let me let me really shout out, you know this I'm man. Just a lot of sports man, which is good, which is good, which is good. Maybe I every morning I get up I go on the porch or little and I have a cup of coffee and I play in the athletic in the New York Times. There's it's called word connect.

Right. And what you do is you connect all these words. So I, you know, I'm, it's religious for me, man. My day doesn't start good unless I go in. And right now, Clark, I'm at 93%. I'm at 93%, which worries me that I know so much about sports. And there's all this other stuff going on in the world, right? And so, you know, I just, this is a great week for sports.

you know when you you think about and again the world series will start we tune in you know let's see what happens but in wisconsin not in milwaukee alone in wisconsin man it's a whole different thing i think a lot of black business is going they're going to make some money off this you know if they have a lot of watch parties oh yeah watch parties

Yeah, a lot of people are definitely going to watch parties. I have a political event I have to go to Friday, but it started six. Well, I really want to go because I want this guy to sign a book for Kennedy. But I'm out of there, man. I'm at the crib. Let me, as I said, the WNBA last night was game two, the Valkyrie against the Fever.

Um, let me I let the fever ball last night Angel Reese Angel Reese played last night man and Jordan Canada The net all the irritant she is She is Patrick Beverly Without the nonsense this this this sister she man

She is something on defense man, and then they had three players on the fever that are all WNBA defensive players Ryan Howard Angel Reese Angel Reese won defensive player the year did she Think she did yeah, and then Jordan Jordan Canada. Oh man. Anyway, so the series is tied 1-1 They're going to Atlanta

Uh, as my understanding, they're going to be playing in, um, state farm arena there in Atlanta. Uh, brother was talking to me yesterday and he was talking about Caitlin Clark and how, uh, and there's no, there's no question that Caitlin Clark drives television viewership for the WNBA. If Caitlin Clark, uh, if they were in, uh, I might say the fever.

No, it's the was the Atlanta dream, right? Yeah, Atlanta dream. Right. And and that was history last night because they've been in the finals. I think two times prior to this time had never won a game. So they won their first finals game last night. But Caitlin Clark does drive it because look, there are a lot of racist people who started watching women's basketball because of Caitlin Clark.

These people do themselves a disservice because like I said the product these young women ball They ball it ain't if you love basketball You're gonna love the WNBA Okay, and so It was great watching last night. I think they that went in by 14 So now they go on the road and they go to Atlanta just great. Call her welcome to the program Good morning

Good morning again. How are you? I'm still stuck on the comments that some of the things that Black people say. Yeah, the Blackest thing we can say. Okay, that part. This one I stand by. I'm just gonna say the initial. FA, FA.

Yeah, dude, if you want to, if you want to, like now

All right, yeah. That's fine. Yeah. You're going to find out today. Not tomorrow, but today. All right. I love the line. And I think Lloyd Bridges and Airplane and everything is going on. And the first time he said, you know, I picked the wrong day to quit smoking.

Welcome to the program. Good morning. Good morning. How you doing, man? I'm good, man. What's happening? How you doing, brother? I'm good. All right. All right, brother. You know what? The one to give me when something happens that you get, if you get hurt or something and everybody say I killed you.

Fill me yeah Or you understand are you dead?

No. Oh, oh, oh, oh. You go back to the city. You dig? You dig solid, bruh. Negro, please. That's a word, too. Negro, please. Yeah. But you know what, man? You know, we were, Meach was talking about the last seven utterances from the cross. And I like when I get Jesus between the two criminals. Oh, yeah.

because when the one dude is talking crazy and when you really look and you put it into a bonnix, he looks to the other dude and go, Hebrew, please. Good morning. What's happening? Hey, what about anywhere, anywhere, please? Oh, yeah. He just said that one. What about moving the food?

So you think I'm booboo to food, huh? Booboo to food, man. All right, y'all take it easy. You think I'm booboo to food, huh? Like, why we do that, huh, that thing, huh? Huh. Huh. Huh. Jay's round limit. Huh. Huh. Oh, man. You listen to community boys. 414-444-525-0.

414-444-45250, some of the blackest things we can say. We're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back. I'm FM with your host, Keith Parris. Hi, welcome back, Paula. Welcome to the program. Good morning. Hello. Good morning. Hang on one second. Yes, hello. Hey, how are you? Hey, hey, hey. I'm good, I'm good. This is Chef. I just wanted to tell you, hey, I just wanted to tell you guys that I just went to early vote.

Okay. Oh my God. Oh, yes. You clap for me. She's got some beef with, don't you believe? But shout back! Shout back! That's right. This is breaking news. This is breaking news. Where'd you go? But I went to Midtown. Okay. And I just want our folks to know, be prepared.

If it stays like it was when I walked in, 100 people in there. Wow. Wow. Yeah, they had us at three different lines, different stations. And I looked behind me a line and it had to be another 25 people behind me in my line. And I was in one line of three. But what I heard over and over again was people asking about the referendum question. Okay, good. Good.

And so we got to make sure we are reminding people. These questions are there. Know how you don't vote because they sit in there reading the questions. They calling people on their cell phones. I'm not sure what to do on these questions. And you know what, Michelle? And take your patience to the pole. When you came to Zion Hill, I was like, remember, I don't know if I told you, I was really surprised that what people didn't know. I assumed that people knew, but no.

No, people really don't know. They don't. And it was it was very clear when I was standing here and I just, you know, I'm listening at people's stress. The one woman, she called her daddy and her daddy, he like, I'm not sure. Read the questions to me again, but she was reading them again. So I'm telling people, if you good, make sure everybody else around you is good. And they know how to answer these questions.

But I was blown away. I was not expecting to see that many people when I walked into the polls this morning. So I just want to tell y'all go well early. Let me thank our crack reporter, Ms. Michelle Bryant. You had to press pass on. Don't hate me. Oh, you could be a crack reporter, right? So we want to thank our co-reporter.

Thank you, Michelle. Thank you for letting me talk. No problem. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Yeah, that's our crack reporter. So we're everywhere. And little George was going back while George was kind of, I'm always amazed at the number of people that listened to us. Yeah, no, seriously. I was out yesterday.

My name just was, you know, it was it was mentioned. I was playing at this home-going service and after work

So afterwards, man, people was coming up to me was like, you know, one person, you know, they heard my name. It was like, man, I listened to y'all.

Every morning at Michelle Bryan and Keith Paris man, I listen to y'all every morning and it makes my morning go so fast man Just listen to you guys man. You guys are talking about any and everything and it's funny It's not dead and I'm you know, I was like thank you and another person came up to me and they was like Listen, I heard because I was in the parking lot talking to somebody

And I laughed and this person ran up to me that was like, I know that line. But I said, what? WNOV, I said, yeah, they said, I knew it. I told somebody I wanted to meet you one day. I said, well, look at God. So I just, it just shows that you just never know who's listening to you. And I said to myself,

I said to myself, I said to myself, what a wonderful world. I said to myself, that's why it pays one to have good character. Two, you always have to be a good behavior when you're in public because you don't know who is watching you, who has tied you into something. So you can, you can actually say something and do something and offset a person like, man, I thought this person was

like this but this person really you know what I mean? I was at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner and you know you see a lot of people and so Pastor Meredith's Reverend Dr Archie Ivy looks good too he really looked good because I know he's had some challenges yeah and he walked by and gave me a vigorous handshake and then he said this

I've been listening. It wasn't like, hey, I listen. I've been listening. So more pressure. No pressure there. I've been listening. So it was good to see him. It was really, really, really good to see him. He sat on my ordination council. Had a chance to talk to his son, Pastor Reggie Ivy Saturday. But it was good. But when he gave me that, it sounded like a school teacher.

I got my eye on you. I'm watching you. I'm watching you. Call a welcome to the program. Good morning. Yeah, brother. What's that brother? That's the black word brother. Oh brother. But you know what? But the but but the white nationalists also use brother. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah, they use brother. Yeah. Oh wow. But that's cool. Well my brother.

No, no, it is, it is the black person who did that identify as black. And then you go like, no, brother, I'm not your brother. We don't have the same moms. You ain't my brother. We might have to say daddy.

I really don't want to say this, but Bean found my brother. Alright, brother. Oh man, oh man, you get up. Because I don't know what's happening. But me and Victor may have looked too much alike.

That is sure Sunday people coming up to me going past that. Oh, no, no, no, no. He over there. He had the blue suit. There he is. It's amazing because no one ever accused us. We've known each other since the seventh grade. No one has ever accused us of looking alike until we became adults. As a matter of fact, uh, I worked, I worked with his wife and, um, she was, um, she was saying when you first came in, people said your husband is here.

But then like I said, we know each other, but we never ever until we got grown, grown and then we're on the same, you know, we were ordained at the same time. So yeah, that's great. He's got caller. Oh, okay. Well, keep going. Keep it going. To her spiritual daughter.

They say they saw you on the video saying happy birthday to her spiritual daughter on a video Yeah, yeah, and Jermaine, you know I'm butting your shirt

How you doing this morning? What's happening? How are you? All right. All right. You all were doing catchphrases and I just thought of three of them that might have already been mentioned. Okay. That black folks used to dismiss things or

you know disagree with something okay one of them is freeze all that he went all the way to the left later for that

That's all I got. All three of them. All three of them. All three of them. Yeah. Yeah. Later for that. Later for that, man. All the way to the left. What is it? Later for that with all that noise? Yeah. Later for that. With all that noise. But but now the nineties and early 2000s, the catchphrase was already. So that's like, so you would say something like, oh man, do we

We did this we were already man. So that actually came from like the East Coast type thing already already already That's crazy man. Like we got our own

our own language, our own conversation. You know what I mean? Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? And I love men. And then when people from different parts of the country do that, you get their accents, you hear like, like the dudes from Detroit have a way of saying that. Exactly. Dudes from DC have a way of saying that. CDC said man. Yup, yup, man. Real man. Hard out here for real. Real man. Hey, dude, that was funny. They said Terrence Howard.

They said Terrence Howard, they was talking to him, and he was talking to him about Batman, but he kept saying, Batman. He said, who? Batman. If anybody knows him from Maine, that's Terrence Howard, right? Every movie's going, yeah, Maine, Maine. Like what? Yeah, it is. You know, linguistically, it's called colloquialisms, right? And then, you know, you have our general language is English.

And then you have all of the ethnic derivatives of English. So America has really created, it's basically its own language. I was watching, you know, this SNL, they do the Valks and they were showing this, it was supposed to be like this British movie. And you couldn't understand anything anybody was saying, right? Because in England, the way they use English is very different.

then how we use English in America, you know, and then you, you have, you have the cultures, right? The music that informs what you do, circumstances inform what you do. So Carla, welcome to the program. Oh, so it's great that we're having this linguistic exercise today. Man, I made a mistake when I was in college. I took linguistics at 8 30 in the morning on a Tuesday and Thursday. What does that mean? Well,

Mondays and Wednesdays, we party. Linguistics and A30 with a hangover. That's rough. That's rough. That's rough. Yeah, so I just love language, man. I sit there and I listen right out and I were talking yesterday about, you know, when I go show up to hear other preachers, right? You know, a couple of things that's happening, speaking for Keith.

One, I always start off hating. You know, you gotta do that. For me, it starts with hate. But then you listen and you're going, that's pretty clever. And you're writing it down. That's pretty clever. Ooh, that's a good one. Ooh. And I remember my wife and I, we were in Miami and we went to this couple's workshop. And Rhonda really liked the concept. She liked the structure of it. She liked the material that she used.

And she said, oh, we get back to Milwaukee. We're going to do this. I said, no, no, no, baby, we're not. We're going to do something like this. Right? It's like you take, you have that Robin Thick moment. Well, all you basically do is change the lyrics. But it's still the same song.

Make up your own name. Make up your own name. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the.

was one of these rap songs that, what they said, hip, hip, hip, hipity hop. And so, so the dude went in the store saying, I need that song that had hip, hip, hipity hop. And the next thing you know, it was shortened to hip hop. My thing, black folks say, it don't mean what you think. It don't make dollars. It don't make sense.

And I love trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents. Ooh, ooh, that is so rich. Hey, don't eat 40. Got a book on about slang. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, but it's.

It's his ebonics. Because he got his own, a swivel, whipple, whipple. What does that mean? I tried to tell him, yamadabadoom. Like, whoa, wow. He got his own. He knew. What he said? He told Jamie Foxx to when he was on the Jamie Foxx show, and when he was fitting Jamie Foxx for his suit.

He used his his own ebonics and it was so funny cuz this cat like I don't know where he make his words up from man, but I got something for you Making groceries. Oh, yeah. Yeah making groceries Yeah, and because we never paid the whole bill

You never paid to hope. I'mma put something on it. Little something. Little something. You're listening to Community Voice House. Something this morning is things, I mean, the blackest things we can say. Also, early voting starts today. We just got a report from Midtown.

It is brisk. It is good. You know what? Here's the other piece of it. This weather is really going to... Yeah. Yeah. It's supposed to be in the 70s. Debo, you should send me out in the field, man. I'll be the field reporter and I can report from East Poland sites, man. Debo! Debo! Debo, they arrested me! You know what he goes for? You know what he goes for? Okay.

I was going to come in this morning and say it was so foggy I hit this white cat like

All right, for those you're on Facebook and YouTube, you can go and you can see a sample ballot.

It confused me when I got it. I thought they sent me to roll ballot because the Spanish is on the other side. But by law, by law, they have to do it in Spanish and in English. So there's vote for Attorney General. That's Eric Tony. He's a Republican running against Josh Call.

uh, their secretary of state, uh, Jay Schroeder is the Republican, Joe Casta, Xamaripa is the Democrat, and we have Pete Karris. He's Wisconsin Green Party, uh, state treasurer, uh, John S. Lieber. He's a Republican. Yi Ling Zhang, he is the Democrat. Uh, congressional district four, uh, Tim Rogers, the perennial runner. I mean, he runs for everything. Yep.

uh the current uh congressperson uh congresswoman gwen moore and somebody i'd know i went to school with the ambassador arthur berks all right now again i won't get into this alkyro is running against kailyn haywood okay alkyro deacon is the republican running against kailyn haywood he's the democrat okay over to my left oh i don't that's where i should have started uh

Tom, Tiffany, David, uh, Varnum. They're the Republican, uh, and Lieutenant Governor. Oh, let's do it. Republican Governor, Lieutenant Governor, candidate, and then David Crowley and Sarah Galuski. Uh, they're the Democratic, uh, nominees for governor. Referendum question one. Where is it at? Uh, that's on the right side of the front of the ballot.

that section one oh see the article V of the Constitution to be amended to prohibit the governor in exercising his or her partial veto authority from creating or increasing or authorizing the creation or increase of any tax or fee. A lot of that came down to there was a formula that the legislation had part had passed as part of the biennial budget. They only wanted to they only wanted the last two years because of the partial veto.

Period here, comma there. Tony Evers was able to go in and basically you hear Meach calling and complaining about it, saying that that minimum will stay in place for at least 400 years based on the partial veto. All right, referendum question number two, freedom to gather in places of worship during an emergency.

Shell section 18 of article one of the Constitution, which deals with religious liberty, be amended to prohibit the state or political subdivision of the state from ordering the closure or forbidding gathering in places of worship in response to a state of emergency, including a public health emergency. That is troubling. That's troubling in my mind from a public health perspective.

And you try not to create a slippery slope, but this is a health issue. This is not shutting down places of worship based on their theology, based on even their political expressions. This is saying that when we have a public health crisis, that the state should not be able to go in and close down places of worship.

even though you're closing down movie theaters, you're closing down malls, right? You're closing down governmental buildings. And this is one for those folks out there who just felt like, because there were a lot of religious folks during the COVID shutdown who felt like, why are you shutting us down? Anybody who had been watching that.

that how that epidemic was being spread, is being spread in large spaces with a lot of people who were breathing on each other, coughing on each other, that was the spread. Had nothing to do with religious liberty. Then people argue, well, you left the liquor stores open. And it kind of got back to, I could remember the lines of people going in the liquor store, because they only allowed X number of people. And you had to have a mask, right?

So the sprint was very different. But when people try to make this whole thing about, well, you allow this to happen, hey, remember, you couldn't play high school basketball. They closed down, you know, like, and I'm thinking they ended the NBA, right? No, but prior to that, yeah, they closed it down. Right. Because who was it? My guy go bar, go bear was the first one. Yeah, they said one done go happen to open in that next.

then he gets it. So they shut down Major League Baseball. They shut down. So it had everything to do with community spread. And it's not a question of religious freedom. It's a question of public health. And I would think that public health would supersede, right? Would supersede. That argument I was having yesterday with George and Meach and others. We should not be slaves to religion. We should not be slaves to religion.

It's very, very different. And just because your religious don't make you spiritual, because Ken's born in an oven, don't make him biscuits. All right. And then the final question, governmental entity discrimination prohibited. Section 27 of article one of the constitution be created to prohibit governmental entities in the state from discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to any individual group.

on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in public employment, public education, public contracting, or public administration. This is, again, running that whole DEI, and we're trying to kill DEI. Let's, let's, and we can just talk about that history of DEI. DEI came out as a vengeance after George Floyd, okay? After George Floyd.

You had major corporations who went in and said, you know what, we need to look at this. I don't know what had to do with the other, but that's what happened. I think there's this myth out there. I was listening to, they showed this contrast of Byron Donald down in Florida, where on one hand he was touting the fact that he was black because he was trying to appeal to black voters.

Then on the other hand because he's speaking out of both sides of his neck. Oh, that's another one It's talking about talking out the side of your neck And he then when he was appealing to white folks would say that America's a meritocracy America's never been a meritocracy America's never been fair So I mean let's just keep the record straight It has never been

And the fact that you had to do things like the Civil Rights Act, things like affirmative action, was because there was direct discrimination against particularly people of color. And a lot of times it was codified, it was in the law. You know, that's what's separate equal. So we've never caught up. We never caught up. So this idea that even today, that somehow America has righted the ship,

and that if you just work hard and take your vitamins and say your prayers, that you're just going to be able to make it in America. Wrong. Wrong. That ain't changed. It ain't changed. But that's that whole thing about DEI. And this was the thing about the MAGA movement. One of the things that the MAGA movement based itself on was that there were people coming in taking from you what you had, right?

So your unemployment is not because of a failed economic policy or the failed economic policies of the Trump administration No and everything to do with an illegal coming in taking your job That ain't true. It was never true But you play on fear and right now As I pivot away from this right now the Republican Party is running on fear. They can't run on policy

They can't run on the economy, right? They can't they because every time that's why we were talking about if Trump is going to come to the world series, right? It because every time there are people who see Trump is reminded that the reason why gas prices are so damn high is because of policy decisions that he may I eat going into this ill fated war with Iran. Because prior to going into Iran.

Gas prices wasn't high. Tariffs, this cost inflation, it's Trump's policies. And I'm still trying to figure out, how is still 34% of the people in the country still supporting this dude? Based on what? Oh, I know what it is. No women, no men and women's sports. Oh.

That's what it is. It's the trans. That's what it is. Oh, it's DEI. That's what it is. Come on, man. And you cut off your nose despite your face. You know, back and those folks in the South can remember this. Lyndon Johnson alluded to this, that you have po white folks and many of Trump's supporters are the people who are the victims of Trump's policies.

I'll say it again. Many of Trump's supporters are the victims of his policy. So in the South, when white people was po, and I told folks, when I went to Kentucky for the first time in my life, I saw po white folks. And I was going, whoa. And that's what they would say to the po white folks. Least you not a nigga. You still hungry? Yeah.

And the Negroes might be eating. Carla, welcome to the program. Good morning. Good morning. How are you, sir? Not as well as some other people. But I want to make an observation for Reverend Parrish and Reverend Kiki Blue or whatever. Winky Blue. I'm trying to make ears.

Winky blue in particular a good teacher preachers and a good preacher teachers a mask and Whoopin is fine if you know how to hoop and you got some content in it and Tell your fellow Reverend It's just because you talk loud and say the same thing over and over again does not make it true. So make the point

And y'all have a good one. Thank you. Thank you. Absolutely on point. On point like loud, being louder, gonna make it right here. Right. It's some BS, man. All right. Josh Jacob playing Sunday? Yep. Uh-oh. He, uh, they say they want to see how he's going to do in practice, but it's a 90% chance he's going to play.

from my sources at least. That's what my sources told me. Dude, I know. Right. I know somebody. I know somebody who said, Carla, welcome to the program. Good morning. Are we still are we still talking about the black people? Yes. Yes.

It's not something that runs throughout the program. You know, because I'll be jumping in and out this truck. I don't know. I thought about something. This is what my mom used to say. Keep this between me and the fence posts.

That means don't tell nobody what's going on in this house. Oh, I love this one. I ain't lying. I ain't lying. Like, yeah, you are lying. Yeah, you are.

That's what you know, they're gonna say something. They're gonna say something.

Can you handle that one? Can you talk? I didn't know this one because this like when I was in my kicking days, we didn't have Texas, right? But this, this, you up. That one, you know, that's a booty call, right?

Boy, a booty call ain't the same as it used to be back in the day, right? Who came up with the term booty call? Huh, right.

That was calling on some rear calling calling for the booty Call the room to the program Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I was just Noticing when you mentioned that it was another one talking out of both sides of the unit. Yeah Which is another way of saying that somebody's lying. Yeah, but we're notorious also for in our language our short shorthand and speak

to take something negative and make it a positive. For instance, if we approve of something, and normally something slick is considered unsavory or wrong, we'll say something like this. If we approve of it, oh, that's real slick. Another one would be, instead of saying, I went home and did nothing, we'll say, oh, I went home and just chilled.

Oh, wait a minute. We'll say I won a woman. I just. Oh, but how about this? How about this combination? Chillax. Oh, yeah. Chillax. No, no. This is recent. Yeah. Came up with chillax. Chillax. Chill out and relax. Chillax. Oh, he said chill out. Exactly. And then the last one I have is this.

when somebody does something or says something that's outside the mainstream, we'll simply say, oh man, you're doing too much. You're doing too much. Too much. Right. What was it that Black Gates came up with that's extra? You being too extra? You're doing too much. That's all I got.

Yep, that's another one. This ain't what you want. This ain't what you want. This ain't what you want, man. I'ma tell you right now. Tell you right now. This ain't what you want. On my mama. On my mama.

Call and welcome to the program. Good morning.

When the stalkers used to call and hang up This breathing in the background Make me upset like you want to see where I'm at so you hold the phone and listen to the background Just to see where I'm at. That's not gonna tell you where I'm at

Oh God, it was

It was Dr. King and Montgomery and Terrence Howard played Ralph David Abernathy, Jeffrey Wright played Martin King. They're going out trying to recruit people as part of the protest. Ralph David Abernathy come in and the dudes say, Pastor, you're regular? They're coming in the bar.

Wait, that remind me, dude, this was so funny. You got to call it, too. I remember one time me and my guy got picked up by this pastor, right? But my guy, he used to go to this gas station and get Cigarillos, right? So happened, the pastor stopped at the gas station to put gas in the car before we go to the trip. We all walk in the gas station. The dude behind the counter, look at my guy and pick up the Rillos was like, five of them.

The pastor look at him. I looked at the dude behind the car like you telling no dude. Dude. That ride to racing was the longest ride.

When you have company at your house and they have one

What you trying to get him to get out your house? What you got going on? What you doing? I'm fixing to go.

Oh, man. The infamous run. Classic. The infamous run. Oh, yeah. Yeah, man. Gotta make a run. Gotta make a run. I appreciate you. That's always nefarious. That was the word Michelle was looking for today. Nefarious. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that that means you have to know good.

Clark Kent, thank you. Thank you. Debo, thank you. Right out. Thank you. Michelle, thank you. And again, early voting starts today. You can go to my vote. WI to figure out one, if you're still registered to the early voting locations, their times and their hours. And if you if you received your ballot in the mail, you can go to any public library to drop your ballot off. That's a drop off spot. So

And if what Michelle is saying, I think I might drive that way on the way home just to see what those lines, but that's great because this will be a turnout election. It will be a turnout election. I can sit up here complaining about Trump for the last two years. It's been two years already. Yeah, it's been two years. Feel like 15. Jesus. All right, y'all. The Good Lord, Will and Creek, don't rise. Hope to talk to everybody tomorrow. And as always, go from this place in peace.
