Why would you even trust that anyway even though you was in the heat of the moment? You wanted to trust the fact that always got a song The heat of the moment. Yeah. Yeah. No, so I just wanted to do that to be able to just to
I am a I am a believer in abstinence plus when it comes to sex education for children And teenagers that yeah you abstinence is the number one Most effective it is the most effective form I'm wanted pregnancies. Yeah, but anything else and I think we part of why we have this discussion a lot of times is and a lot of it is
based in Morality I tell the story I was about when I was working with a group and Trying to come up with a sex education curriculum that could be taught in churches it was hard because you know first of all I think after lying Maybe sex outside of marriages is probably many people not all many people have had sex outside of marriage and so
you know, the question becomes, you know, this idea of protecting. And if you're not prepared for a pregnancy and prepared to raise a child, then there's probably some things that you have to do. Yeah. But, you know, you get that little yak in you, right? And then people are going to blame it on the alcohol. But no, man, I just think, and I think that that's what we need to teach kids is that
You know your to be responsible a lot of adults are out and you know oops Oops there it is oops there it is So yeah, so I just wanted to do that cleanup I knew was so you talked about 98% that's a high percentage Again, but a lot of times what it is is condom malfunctions and then that that contributes to
possibility of pregnancy. The other thing is of course women who are doing birth control pills and they might take an antihistamine or take something else that could impact the efficacy of the birth control pill. The other thing is you know we've had this conversation like whether or not what is that the IPV shot and you know but I you know
Being telling people to be responsible when it comes to that especially among young people Some of us in a better position Financially you really have to wear with all to be able to take care of a child and I think that that becomes that whole discussion around You know, can you can you take care of kids and and we don't seem to have that You know, it's just kind of like we'll figure it out once they get here. That might be a little late
And depending on where you are, and certainly how you're situated financially, even where you're situated emotionally, it can have impact. So I wanted to do that cleanup. And again, I wanted to shout out the two people that had birthdays. See anything else I need to clean up on now? Okay, am I ready for this call? Okay, call a welcome to the program.
Yeah, good morning, and we're gonna we're gonna talk politely and professional No, we're gonna we're gonna talk we're gonna talk scientifically and factually
Exactly. And the fact is that a lot of people are not talking to their kids. And a lot of them want to throw the malls in there, but they don't say none when they were out there, when the man and the girl's body was going through all these changes. But you know what, part of that is, and this is why I found out...
It is difficult sometimes for people to be able to, first of all, it's difficult for parents to have that conversation with their kids for a lot of different reasons. Two, we have a tendency then to bring up the mistakes that we made.
our lives and we then do it from don't be like me or you know some of some of the worst and I know people meant well don't bring no baby up in here okay I don't that ain't effective but a lot of people really don't know I you know part of working for Planned Parenthood is that you have to take this I think it's a
four-week course on just on sex and sexuality, right? The whole thing, you go through the whole gamut. I was amazed that there were women who had babies who really didn't really know how their bodies work. So there's a certain level, and I mean, put this politely, ignorance that people have around the issues of sex, because as you just said, a lot of it, we, and the church has had a whole lot to do with, with, with...
how we talk about sex and how we view sex and sex is dirty and sex is evil and it was lust and these are all highly loaded emotional terms that gets us away from the facts.
Yes, and that's how we all got here because somebody got in heat and somebody decide Before they bought it, you know But I think we also have to be realistic the people should be talking to their kids about IUDs Also, they don't talk to the kids about what they was doing in the 20s and 30s when they was telling their daughters They say they self so these kids go out here and make certain mistakes
They don't tell their kids about how some of their grandparents was using a handful of Vaseline. They don't tell them about a loan when their mothers was married. They were stepping out on their brother and they did on a husband. And when they daddy came home, they had another big kid child that wasn't his, but actually it was the brothers or the grandfather. Also, they was not talking.
for their kids about back then, well, how the Christians were telling their daughter, say they self and using their mouth and the devil's back door. So these are the things you need to be telling these kids so they don't come out and make these unnecessary mistakes because what are you going to tell them? But what you think is also a healthy understanding of them. They're still, and especially for women, where they've been programmed to say that you don't have sex unless you're in love with the person.
But that's, that ain't how it works. Biologically, what you think is love is probably something else. Well, anytime a person getting hit, there ain't none of his love. Y'all horny. You did too much. You was playing house. You were playing do up on the fence. So there you go. You don't mention that term, man. Again, you take me back where you started talking about, but I think it is natural. It is natural to be sexually attracted.
to another human being. That is natural. That's nature. That's how nature works. That's how we procreate. Society comes in then with more raising ethics around how it should be done. I remember my first religion class at Dominican when Father Dominic asked us, why do people get married? I said, for love, he says, no, you get married for children. That is true. But the world has changed from when a lot of that theology and again, technology now, right? We have something called contraceptives.
So we so now that that then equates certain things and just because like like you could have a young lady 1415 who has a problem regulating her periods Well, they they would put her on birth control and then the argument people said what if you put them on birth control? They're gonna do it. They're doing it whether they're on birth control or not Yeah, and that's why a lot of these young adults are making mistakes me personally
just tell him and be a front cause what you gonna do when she said that the table and she blacked him from her breath. And now you're telling her she was going to hell, but you don't tell your tears how many abortions you had. You don't tell these kids how you was war by the time you was 18. And we, we, we talking about the mouth. We ain't even made it to the other party yet. All I'm saying is be up front with your kids. So it won't be no secret. It's hard. They won't make the unnecessary. It is hard. It is very difficult. And you know, we're talking about pregnancy.
But let's have a hard conversation. What happens when your son or daughter comes in and tell you that they're gay? A lot of people are not prepared to have that conversation, and there's going to be a very strong reaction to that. Well, some people might can't handle it, but when you look at dope dating, when you look at what people have done for love for their husband,
or their wife, they didn't do the whole lot of stuff. We have it, and maybe again it's how we characterize it. You know, I mean that the idea that the shame and all these things, because look, when I think it was Nathaniel Hawthorne when he did the Scarlet Letter, it's women who carry the evidence of the act, because it's women who get pregnant, right? So they carry that.
So it's always been somehow is on the woman how woman dressed they put a clip out there of me and right out having this whole conversation about how women should dress modestly, you know if they dress provocatively then that entices folks man sexual attraction is so more complicated than we even realize like we could be attracted to people we have no business with but that's biology, right?
And so when that biology is strong enough, and then that's how we procreate, there is no ideal way of people getting here. Many of us have been so-called mistakes. Well, yeah, that's true too, but also you remember what your parents used to say, sometimes it's not in the beauty, it's in the booty.
or they are pretty ugly. They're ugly, but they're pretty as hell. So it's all kind of things. All I'm going to say here is live your life and talk to your kids. And if you want to condemn them for what they do, look between your legs and see where it got you. Have a good day, everybody. Bye-bye. Yikes.
I'm not looking down You know, I just think I think the other thing is
Especially if you're teenagers even for anyone else I remember this sister was talking to me and she she called her Can I just use the big word she called her vagina precious And she was going on and on about how I just don't give up precious and I was thinking that ain't the most precious part of you
If you think that that's the most precious part of you, then you need to recalibrate how you view you. But that's only a part of you. And there are a lot of, especially because we live in a society that is so image conscious that there are people out who, well, the only way he gonna like me if I have sex with him.
I'm going to well, maybe maybe not you know, and then there's dudes out there I'm just gonna try to hit it and I'm gonna run I'm gonna hit it and I'm gonna run and and so you got a lot of that but how much of that is Where we are in terms of how we view ourselves Right how we how we really look at ourselves. I'm more I'm more than a sexual being But I still am a sexual being right
And so how do you balance that? And that's a very involved conversation that people have, but I think you have to deal with the facts. You know, one of the things they would talk about, I used to hear this and I think people who work with women, young women who, I hate to term, at risk, because every child's at risk, but coming from certain environments and maybe not feeling loved themselves,
Would say maybe if I have a baby that baby will love me If you having a baby for that reason Because it ain't the love of the baby is your love for the baby Right, you're care for the baby. It's a lot of people who are not prepared to become parents our parents and And that that becomes what that's that's the way of the world I mean, I hate to put it that way, but that's how the world works
And I'll repeat what I said earlier. Many of us have come in with less than ideal, got here under less than ideal circumstances. People made the adjustment. Thank God, if you were born into a family situation where people took parenting seriously and were going to do the best they can and take on a level of responsibility. But trust me, if people are doing that, that means that people are not. Because the laws of opposites are always in effect.
It's just how the world works and and so we do but I think as we raise our level of Knowledge, right? I think then we should be able to now you can have all that knowledge Still be overwhelmed, right? But I think but that that's not putting us in a bad space because we kind of understand one how our body works to potential people getting pregnant
You know, like for me, I'm a supporter of a woman's right to a safe and effective abortion. If that's the choice she makes, it's her body, right? It's her body. And then I would hear dudes out here going, well, what if I wanted the baby? Okay. Yeah, what if you did? What if you did? You know, I mean, you know, so I think having those conversations, women.
because how women are more differently affected than men when it comes to physically what that means to have a child. You know, that's the whole issue with Lindsey Clancy right now, and all of a sudden now this whole idea of postpartum mental illness, you know, people going, well, and I know there are people going, oh, women, I wasn't, that was you.
But if people are already dealing with certain mental health challenges and now you add a child to that and you put postpartum Depression on top of that or postpartum mental illness so you know and and and that's the other thing I have to learn how to stop saying I would have never if that was me You don't know what you do until you find yourself in that situation, you know, and I think just to be fair to other people
you know, what is that whole thing that, you know, until you walk in somebody else's moccasins, you know, it was interesting when Colin Kaepernick was talking about how difficult it was for his white adoptive parents to understand culturally what he was experiencing. And when that conversation came up, I remember back in the day, the Black Social Workers Association were really against white parents or white couples.
Adopting like black kids out of the foster care system right because of the culture thing, but here's the other piece of it How do we get to the point where then that it doesn't really matter it because that's the goal right that's the goal and and unfortunately that it does they did a movie on Netflix about him and When he was a teenager and they were going he was driving the car
and the state trooper pulled him over. And his mom was in the car with him. She would never get pulled over for driving white. He got pulled over for driving black. And so all of a sudden now she has this stark realization that there's a different reality for Colin because Colin is black. And it's hard for white people to understand that. Now black people can understand
Whiteness only because of our exposure to it, right? It's all built around whiteness So we're but in terms of people trying to understand what you might feel like as a as a descendant of Africans as a First Nation person as a Latina or Latino That's hard because they've never had that experience because it's more than physically what I experienced
It's what Hakim Jeffries brother Hassan. I think that's Hassan Jeffries said he said that race is a construct, but racism is real You'll listen to community voice now when we get back and I'm glad you know talking I'm gonna get Colin Kaepernick's book But I want to talk about something
Some of these protests that we may or may not know about in terms of athletes and the stand bill Rowan wrote a great book the $40 million slaves and he was talking about how he thinks that athletes particularly black athletes should take a stand and So we'll see again and the phone lines are open y'all 41444452504144445250 going to take a quick break. We'll be right back
I welcome back to community voice and again I was as I was listening to Michelle's program this morning and she was talking about Colin Kaepernick and get the book And I and first I thought about I thought it happened in 66 but actually happened in 1965
There was a protest by AFLDO, American Football League players. So I'm going to get to that protest. This is taken from the History Channel, and it's an eight-member protest by American athletes. The first one is 1995, Makmul Abdul-Rahul's National Anthem Stance. During the 1995-96 season, the Denver Nuggets star refused to stand for the National Anthem, declaring it would be a violation of his Muslim faith.
Macmul, Abdul-Raouf told reporters that the American flag was a symbol of oppression and of tyranny. The NBA suspended him for one game before reaching a compromise. Abdul-Raouf would stand and pray during the anthem, but Abdul-Raouf paid a price for his stance, demonstrated him to Sacramento after that season, and despite his prolific scoring, he was out of the NBA by age 29. Now, if anybody ever saw him play before, there was Steph Curry.
There was Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf. And people probably know him more as it's LSU days. It's Chris Jackson. Shaquille O'Neal said the greatest player he ever, he said he was the third best player on that LSU team. It was Chris Jackson. Who was the big dude? There's other big dude that played with them and then it was him.
And he did and there's a great documentary out there called the stand where he talks about he lost everything his family his house he lost everything You know because he took that stand 1961 Bill Russell the Celtics boycott game in Kentucky
When he and four of his black teammates on the Boston Celtics will refuse service in a restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky, Bill Russell told coach Red Arbeck they wouldn't play in an exhibition game in the city. Two members of the St. Louis Hawks, Boston's opponent, joined them in the boycott. Arbeck did not exactly stick up for his players, telling the Associated Press, the Negro boys got really emotional.
They said they'd like to go home. We talked for two hours and I couldn't change their minds. Russell and his teammates flew back to Boston, where the star declared Negroes are in a fight for their rights, a fight for survival and change in the world. I am with these Negroes. A day later, the Boston Celtics owner, Walter Brown, told the Boston Celtics he wouldn't play games in the South again, adding, I'm not.
so hungry for money that I've arranged games that might embarrass my players. At the time, the league consisted of only nine teams. Again, I mentioned this. I started off with the 1965 AFL moves all-star game after player protest. The AFL all-star game in New Orleans was a nightmare for black all-stars. The taxis refused to pick up black players. Nightclubs on Bourbon Street were segregated, and a bouncer pulled a gun on Tackle Ernie Lab, Big Cat.
After that, the players refused to play. New Orleans Mayor Victor Shiro told the Associated Press that the protests would aggravate the very condition they are seeking in time to eliminate. But AFL Commissioner Joe Foss didn't blame the players for withdrawing. He quickly relocated the game to Houston. The protests accelerated the desegregation of New Orleans as business owners feared the financial loss from missing out on
Big sporting events Muhammad Ali 1967 refused the draft When the US Army said Muhammad Ali was draft eligible he cleared he was a conscientious objector now what had happened with him that I think originally and you folks who are veterans you can kind of let me know he was Is that 4f?
And they went back in and redid it and he said, I don't know how I go from being an idiot to a genius. And so then they put him back in the draft lottery. He was drafted and he was, but he refused. So on April 28th, 1967, Ali refused induction into the army, was stripped of his heavyweight titles and banned from boxing for three years. Two months later, Ali was convicted by an all white jury and sentenced to five years in prison for his refusal.
Public opinion was against him with the Atlantic Constitution claiming Clay has plenty of company in the draft dodging league. At the time, few in the media referred to him as Muhammad Ali. Four years later, however, the Supreme Court reversed Ali's conviction and unanimous vote. Ali won the greatest athletes of all time, retired from boxing in 1981. 1968, Tommy Smith, John Carlos at the Summer Olympics. Now,
There's some background there, and I do have Harry Epworth's book, The Revolt of the Negro Athlete, and he talked about, so what was gonna happen was there was this group for the advancement of human rights, and they wanted all black athletes to not compete in the 1968 Mexico City games, right? Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was Louis Alcindor at the time at UCLA, did not go and play.
I think Elvin Hayes did go play. And you had, and everybody remembers, the counter, John Carlos and Tommy Smith was George Foreman in the ring waving the American flag after he won the heavyweight boxing gold medal. Tommy Smith was a gold medal and John Carlos the bronze in the 200 meters in Mexico City, but history remembers them that they did not did on the medal podium.
While the Star Spangled Banner played, each man raised a black gloved fist, a black power salute. All three athletes on the podium weren't for human rights badges, including Australian civil medalist Peter Norman. Peter Norman really caught it when he went back to Australia and took this day to do not recognize Peter Norman, right? He was the second fastest man in 1968. But because he stood with John Carlos and with Tommy Smith,
He was basically blackballed in terms of track and field in Australia. International Olympic Committee President Avery Brundage, who was a white supremacist who loved Adolf Hitler, immediately banned Smith and Carlos who were.
vilified in the media, Brent Musburger, then a Chicago sports writer, called them a couple of black skinned storm troopers. Neither Smith nor Carlos won another medal at the Olympics. Decades later, Smith said the medal stand protest was in support of human rights. Now this one was really fascinating. In 1969, Wyoming bans 14 black players for a planned protest. The Wyoming football team was undefeated and ranked 12th in the country.
the week of the game against Brigham Young University. But when 14 Black members of the team visited head coach Lloyd Eaton to discuss an upcoming protest, the allegedly racist policies of the Mormon Church, Eaton shut them down. Gentlemen, you can save time and breath, he said, according to one of the Black players. As of now, you're off the football team. A week later, four Black athletes at...
for black track athletes that wildly quit in solidarity with the football players. And the football team was met by protest at every road game. In the next 38 games, after the mass dismissal, the Cowboys won only 12 games. Eaton was out as coach after the 1970 season. In 2019, the university apologized to the Black 14.
1970 Billy Jean King demands better pay after the open era in tennis began in 1968 men earn far more prize money than women Billy Jean King decided to fight boycott in the 1970 tournament because it awarded men. 12,500 dollars and women only fifteen hundred dollars King a rage a rival tour.
despite facing suspension from the U.S. Law and Tennis Association. By September 1970, tournaments increased purses for women to avoid boycotts from King and her like-minded competitors. In June 1973, King became the first president of Women's Tennis Association. A month later, the U.S. Open announced men and women would receive equal prize money. 1970. Syracuse players set out the season.
Nine black players boycott a spring practice to protest the lack of black assistance or access to the same academic and medical resources as white players. Also, Syracuse wouldn't take black players to road games in southern cities. White teammates threatened to quit if they were reinstated when linebacker Bill Coghill tell in the Associated Press, I don't care if you call me a bigot, I'm not going to take it. The black players set out the entire season to reel in their football careers, though all nine students graduated.
So those were the ones and then as we were talking off air people remember in the bubble and it was based on the Jacobs shooting down in Kenosha That the WNBA Had said that they weren't going to play it was the WNBA first and then I think it was the guy in for the bucks
who the cops had pulled over Sterling Brown, who came out and said, we need to do something. They brought in all the teams. And so, and you have to appreciate LeBron James's frankness. He said, look, man, it's not going to hurt me not to play. But if you're the 12th man on the team, if you're the 11th man on the team and you barely hanging on,
Financially you missing those checks are gonna have great impact on you And I think that that's part of when people say you're going to protest, you know, like there's one of these little things There's an asterisk when it comes to Colin Kaepernick Though Colin Kaepernick did not ever play in the NFL again, though he wanted to Unlike Maqmoul Raouf Abdul Raouf he had a $12 million contract with Nike and
And for Nike, it wasn't going to hurt. You heard old 65-year-old white men said, I'll never buy Nikes. You don't wear Nikes anyway. And so in some ways, it helped Nike's brand, certainly among black kids, because they stood behind their athlete.
He had you know, that's not the first time Nike has been able to use a negative and turn it into a positive Anybody remember if you ever seen Air Jordan remember when the first Air Jordans came out? He got fined every game for wearing those shoes because they had a uniform Nike said we'll pay to find because by them making those shoes almost like outlaw shoes It may it increased people's desire to buy the shoe
And so there have been mixed results when it comes to particularly black athletes taking a stand. So we can talk about it when we get back. Again, the phone lines open 414-444-5250-414-444-5250. You can take a quick break. We'll be right back.
All right, welcome back to community voice again the phone lines open 41444452504144445250 We're talking about black athletes taking a stand That's not easily arrived at for many many years Bill Bill Russell Wouldn't go back to Boston all those championships that he won for Boston
people broke in his house, defecated on his bed. I mean, so he said, look, I don't play for Boston, I play for the Celtics. And that's the piece out there, and especially those folks who, I have to be honest, we dealt with our level of racism when I was in high school because of you and a PWI, predominantly white institution.
especially a private, predominantly white institution. There are people out there who were paying, and they expect their kids to play. I'll never forget, what was it down in Wittnall when Glenn Allen Jr. was playing down there? And the people were complaining because Wittnall went from a football school, remember they went to state.
And there were people complaining about the kids, and I don't know if those kids were down on 220. And they were complaining about them making the team and other kids dead in their minds. You don't even live in this district. You shouldn't be playing. So you get up, or the number of black athletes you could have on the floor. I'm at the tail end of that, where you can have three or four starting, even though you might be the best player on the team.
Racism is so baked in to America. It's hard, especially in athletics, especially in athletics. Caller, welcome to the program. Good morning. Good morning to you, brother. Hi, y'all. I hear you talking about the athletes. You know, all of the Black Power movements and all of that great stuff, you know, athletes getting fed up in their own houses and coming out and speaking out against certain injustices.
But that doesn't really that doesn't really mean much man because we need power in the money that these guys don't mean much Because it's not moving It's not moving the it's not moving me, you know, it's not moving the goal. I mean, it's not moving the needle man at all
I mean, let's be realistic. The power is what we need, brother. And the power is in the bank accounts, man. Power is not, you know, just the name alone. Power is in their bank accounts. And my God, what could they, what could back people?
Achieve with the money that these guys have have came up with you know You look at the cabinet fella and he didn't get some kind of money And he did he is trying to do some little things that he's doing and the reason why I say little because he's only one man with With with with with with a bankroll, but it can't it can't suffice the need that we need that we need power How do you get power me you get powered by?
generating your money, conglomerating your money together and moving. See, this is what's happened to our community, man. We don't have, our infrastructure has been eroded. Our infrastructure was our corner stores, liquor stores, and even athletes that they had, unless they wanted to participate. But mostly locally, we depended on one another. Like I got some newspapers, man, from the 60s.
It was called the Star in Milwaukee. And you see all of those black businesses, the Wilson Club, all of this stuff, man. These people were able to ingrammarate their monies when need be. And guess what? Runs who they wanted to in their districts. And that's how we operate it. But with that gone is every man for himself. And nothing's happening. We've allowed other people to come in and destroy the infrastructure.
economical infrastructure in our neighborhood and they saw the idea to new to the young people that we don't need this in our community it's poison in our community well to a degree we don't need what in our community all kind of stuff man cornerstone chicken joints whatever we don't need it as long as we're doing it but other people can come here and live off of that same revenue our infrastructure depends on the money in our communities
And once they come in here and take the money out, and we're not doing it, then what happens? And then something else you guys were talking about with the children and the sex acts that's going on, the sex thing. Listen, there's a community out there that wants to change the name of the woman for JJ, okay? They want to call it the bonus hole. Those people. When we refer, and that's part of it, that's our discomfort, because we just can't save vagina.
For whatever reasons as if saying vagina dirty word Because if I say it you jump on me, but you let me say it. Let's see what I do No, say it and see what I do You already said you can't say vagina said man You say you say it. I'm asking you say it
I don't want to say it. Why don't you want to say it? Because you're already set for it. What do you mean I'm already set for it? So if you said it, you thought I should have some shock effect? You said for whatever you want to do. Listen, there's a community out there. You can't say vagina. Hey man, let's hear it. Would this help you better? I love vagina. Good. I noticed you had to qualify it, but you couldn't just say it.
You let me say this, though, man, that wants to remove that word. You know that, right? And they want to call it the bonus hole. I don't. Who wants to remove the word? The gay community. They're advocating to remove that. What does that have to do other than if you're a lesbian, what would that have to do with vagina? Well, I think that's their fight. That's the woman's fight. That's the women. That's the women's fight that they want to take that. They want to call it the bonus hole, man.
Come on, brother. Come on, brother. What should they call it? It's after 10 o'clock. We can have this adult conversation. What should they call it? What they've been calling me. Vagina? Of course. Listen, man. Listen, you talked about, man, you talked about so much stuff in the beginning of the show. But I'll tell you one thing, that lust is a lustful, I mean, it's just a desire. That's natural.
You can take two little puppies and put them on the floor and they never seem too big dogs do it, right? Is less is less wrong? No, it's a natural thing. It's a natural. So why do we talk about it like it's wrong? Because it is simple fact. You got a lot of times it's a little problem that we have. What problem? A less problem and then it can become a demonic problem. Then you have a doer. When does it become demonic?
When it becomes demonic is when you start to crave things that are unnatural to the plus and bestiality bestiality See the caspital oh my god, and you got a lot of Kennedy right so Kennedy goes so what you disqualified the animal
The victim. You know what God showed me one time in? Because when preachers go into their sheep at church, mingle with those sheep at church.
No, it is not. No, it is not. God didn't show you that, man. No, it is not. God didn't show you that, man. So I can't sit here and allow you to put that on my God, the God that I saw. He didn't show you that, man. That's a lot. Okay, that's a lot. I know she didn't show you that. Well, let me say that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, I didn't say the word.
Because of them being sheep they not animals that
Can I say this? Go ahead, Jack. Go ahead. Because they call him sheep. No, the Bible, the Bible, the Bible. Y'all having fun. Yeah, I can try to be too deep. You overshot the landing. You overshot the landing.
Right out. Yeah, I'm listening. Right out. You come from a family of people, right? Yeah. Okay. Right. And your mother's a pretty good woman. Your dad is a really good person. And now let me go and say what I got to say in the road. He brought your parents into it, though. Now you made me feel some kind of way, but now I got to feel wrong, guilty. What would my parents think? What would Jesus do?
Okay, go on. So that's a form of bestiality because we refer to Congress. These are dumb sheep. Oh, so you just insulted all the people in the congregation? No, no, no, no, no, hold on. A sheep is a dumb animal. You don't even do it from the front of the water. He don't follow you. You got to drive the sheep. He doesn't put a lot of preachers on in the fan either. Same thing. They got to leave the sheep and they get out in the front of the sheep.
Let's get back to your original premise that is a form of bestiality. How did you get to that? Are they literal sheep?
So they're dependent on you. Are they literal sheep meat? They're not literal sheep. Okay. So then it would not be bestiality. Yeah Doc, you overshot the runway with this one. If you go into those dumps and they come to you for help to be paid and all of this and then you break the code of the shepherd who is inside them.
It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not.
now now now now what you're trying to do and in a way I see what you're trying to do but I can't allow you to do that because you're going to confuse I say because spiritually he's looking at it from the spiritual point no hold on wait just he's pretty little let me finish for a second and then because what I'm saying is he's trying to be too deep but he's overshooting
The runway because when you say this and for the people that don't understand what you're trying to do you're going to confuse them and as a man because they sheep know Because because they don't because they don't understand where he's trying to go However, you can't paint that picture like that because when you use the word beastie Adelie is animals and even though even though the people are
The whole thing of sheep is a comparison to what you know, not to you being an animal. So when they call the people sheep, why are you letting them do that to you? Because you got to explain to the people that don't understand. I think the majority of people, like 98% of them, kind of know that...
That that ain't right. No, but I'm but I'm sad but for those four one four four four five two five zero Or you go in the chat if you agree with me, please call in I love to hear the support Yeah, because for that, you know, even though that the people are looked at as she He's trying to he's trying to turn the point from that point of view, but you can't do that then when you're Talking to people that don't understand would that be at a nap?
What was the word? Um, it is symbolic. That's that's what he's trying to get at. But so they're not actual sheep. Exactly. So that's why you have to explain to the people that no, you don't because most people wouldn't even accept it. That's beastly. No, listen to what I'm saying. Okay. Because of the scripture calls us the people sheep and they call the people that's poetry, man.
Kidding but for those people that don't we understand that narrative for the people well, I don't know That's not for the people that's not in the circle. They don't understand that circle Yeah of the sheep know the circle of understanding keep stop playing the circle of understanding Yeah, cuz we know that the people are called sheep and that the people that's in charge of
Make a sermon that you do right or cause anybody anybody that's a member of the church and you got actual sheep as part of your congregation. Can you get me? You ain't got Bob, Bob Black sheep sitting on the front row. You ain't got Bob, Bob Black sheep in there. So what I'm saying is how did you how did he get to that form of bestiality? I don't I don't know why he would go there. But I kind of see.
The lens that he's trying to put it in but he again, he oversaw the runway with that one because he oversaw the run he oversaw the airport And that's why yeah, I'm not I'm not gonna give that any credibility. That's why I said brother Yeah, man God is not a fool so he's not gonna show you nothing like that. That's in your mind that
Yeah, you know what? Hold on. I'm trying to figure out what took you so long. Did you sit up here trying to figure it out? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. You dummy! And then you sit up here giving it air. Because I don't want the people to be confused. Those people that's out in radio. Who will be confused? The peoples.
in radio land. No, you insulted the people in radio land. We'd already like insulted all these congregations. Now you've insulted all the listeners. There was not one listener out there going, baby, there was. Let me back up. Maybe there was one out there who go like, yeah, you know, he right. Don't you agree?
We need to take a break. Everybody out there, everybody to the car. It was in the community boys. We'll be right back. 6.5 FM with your host, Keith Parris. All right, welcome back. Carla, welcome to the program. Yes, hello. Good morning. Yeah, so I like to talk to you.

What is your favorite candy bar? And you can't say Snickers. Right. It's Snickers, man. Snickers. Mr. Goodbar. Mr. Goodbar, man. You know, he did a movie. Really?
Man, I used to eat Mr. Goodbar so much in school, man. That and that 100 grand. 100 grand had a lot of peanuts in it, right? It did, but it was amazing. Mr. Goodbar, 100 grand. Well, my top three, Mr. Goodbar, 100 grand, and Kit Kat, my three favorites. Milky Way, Musta Tears. Well, I hate Milky Way. It's too... Milky Way, Musta Tears. Mr. Goodbar, you're not there.

Yeah, one like the quick car Charleston shoe Yeah And speaking of protest Anybody has anybody shopped a target no
I have not shopped at Target since they called to protest. I'm just wondering is anybody out there who shopped at Target? There's still some people shopped at Target. And there was some stuff I really seemed like only Target had. And I had to go to Plan B because I am still protesting Target. Yeah, man, Target, you know, Target would never see me. Yeah. I never did like him anyway. It's killing Rhonda. To be honest with you, it's my favorite store.
It was Kmart, man. Kmart was better than Target to me, man. Kmart? Yeah, Kmart ain't been around for years. There's a reason for that. Really? Yeah. It's what? Nobody's really, they stopped shopping at Kmart. No, I know Kmart. At one point in time, it was bigger than Target. Right. And then it just went down here. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, Kmart was.
Spartans Spartans Spartans Atlantic Spartan that's a good give my whole lot of kids got their school clothes Hopefully Bob got the money get about a layaway for the first day of school
high. It was right before you got to 35th and high. So, you know, it was like the uh the McDonald's was on one side and then it was a store in the little strip mall area. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was it was it was right over there. Now, you know, because they had coals over there too. It was yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, right over there in that area. I can't my buddy had the uh he had the Burger King.
That was 35. Now that Burger King used to crack. I used to go to that joint because it was Burger King, KFC, and there was something else that was over there. And I know sometimes when I would go, when I was at 12th and Vellete, I would go down. I'd go down Vellete and I'd get there where I'd go to Burger King or Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now look, if you say Kentucky Fried Chicken, the average young person is looking at you like, what are you talking about?
I'm sorry. KFC. KFC. Just so I was saying that out of me and Frankie, I said, man, you want something to eat? So we go to Kentucky Fried Chicken. He looking at me like, where's the KFC? He go, oh, OK. Now, you know, the best KFC in Wisconsin to me is the one that's out in racing that got the buffet. Oh, OK. That's the best one. I'm going to tell you, man, and I hate to do this.
because, you know, it just plays into all these stereotypes and myths. But I was up in... Where were we? Onida. We were there for a food stamp conference. And that's the only time I ever gambled. Only time I ever gambled. So I had...
My friend she was like I'm gonna go back. I said no when I'm getting ready to do is go to Kentucky fried chicken dude
I ordered a bucket of chicken. And what I'm saying, that chicken was like regulation size chicken. Oh, my God. I just sat there. I must have went into a coma. I ain't so much AMC chicken. I'm just laying there with a bone hanging out. Because I don't gamble. And well, I guess I do in some ways. But I'm just saying, I don't gamble. And so when I got the 120, I could quit. Gamble is a lot of times.
That's just the beginning You see I wonder now your mind is like keep going but I heard that that They they use like Psychologists like so when you listen to those like the bills is very appealing and then someone said the Psychologically for some people it's almost winning that becomes this drive But yeah, but I man I man once I get that 120 do

We thank you for your patience. Welcome to the program. What's happening, my brother? Let me tell you, I got two things. I got two things and I got two hacks and two questions and not question. Yeah, one question. That'd be four things, three things.
I'm just trying to keep up with the math, man. Go on, man. So if you take a chicken sausage or a Tennessee Pride and put that thing on a red lobster biscuit with some eggs on it. Oh, man. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Yes, yes. And DC Youngfly, he said he went to Popeyes and got him a waffle house.
Chicken sausage and put it on the on the on the Popeyes biscuit with some eggs. I said boy, I got hungry immediately With some cheese on that thing

best party wings and had to be found a real setup. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. On the buffet? On the buffet? Yeah. Oh, man. You get that bag like 25-50. And it got the hole punched on the side so it don't get soft.

But when they first opened up, the move was go at 10 o'clock, get your breakfast, chill, and tell them about 12, why they switched it over. Did you get your lunch? You be straight for the rest of the day.
Yeah, because you're one of the reasons they listen here. Oh, you got a lot of these
A lot of these church folks that claim that they got the Holy Ghost and saving full of God They're glutton and they're gonna bust hell wide open because I'm ready No, I can tell you why all right cuz the sheep No You see a whole lot of saints after they gave me the speaking in times and so
They'll be in the places and you see them taking a napkin. We never look at that. They put chicken in their purse. You steal it. All the church has to be sitting on the table because they've been baited in that. They've stayed in there.
I'm not a chicken though because you know how many churches have been built off
from selling chickens? I'll say what? That is true because I know a couple of churchmen they used to have every Sunday. Well, the church did a doorknob. The church needed selling. Past me the haircut. Just all type of chicken dinner. Right. Chicken dinner. Fast and chicken. Fast and chicken dinners. Now down to Miami and we were over in Rhonda's old neighborhood. We drove through there and there used to be a place, man, this church.

Old school candy. 1911 West Forest Home. He took me over there one day, man. I'm just gonna do a walkthrough, man. I done bought something.
I used to eat these a lot in school. The Boston beans. Boston baked beans. Yeah, they got it. That was, uh, that was Michelle and Keion. Yeah, Keion was bringing the baked beans. Man, bring Michelle some Boston baked beans in here. She's, she's, she's mad. I need about $200. Thank you. I know what's good girl. So whenever I ask her for some money, I'm gonna perfect Boston baked beans.
You know, I was talking about goldman's because goldman's used to have that penny candy. Oh, yeah. Mitchell. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of Mitchell, I swear, that's where every preacher in the city wouldn't got their suit from off of 12. Every preacher in the city, you'll see them. You can't find it at goldman's. You can't find it anywhere.
So, so where were your daddy? What's happening? I'm amazed he never ran out of buttons. Those suits like they did alterations and everything. Yeah, they did it.
You know and they were next door to us because we had moved in to Nowhere's the library, Mitchell Street library. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor. We were on the fourth floor.
You know Homer used to wear me out
Really do virtual keep cuz that's that's what breathing in the like dude man bring the mic down you see I'm over here strong. It's kind of weird sound like dark later We were talking about how
I think James Earl Jones only got five grand for voicing. Really? Yeah, for voicing Luke. They had no clue how big that was going to be. And he had offered him, George Lucas said, look, you get money. He said, no man, I got to feed my family. So he had, he offered no perpetuity. Yeah, you get a point. And every time, you know, royalties come out, you get the money. And then I think Michael Jackson
Gave Vincent price fifty thousand dollars Yeah, for a thriller Oh, but if he would He's still be yeah to this day. He's still be Vincent Vendetta any yeah, man. I love man. He wouldn't be eating and I love Vinnie Price and Vince Price was one of my favorite character actors of all time. He's still be eating
No, he would not still be eating. He's still eating this, I'm wrong. It would be, I guess, a part of his estate. His family still be eating, you know, right now. And this whole Jamal Malcolm Warner piece that they're going through with his mama and his wife and, ooh, man. I missed that. What's going on with his mama and his wife? They fight over the estate.
and he didn't update records for when he got married. Yeah, but but but as his wife. Yeah. Ah, but he signed a prenuptial. And that's her fault. Well, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
he failed to update his will. But how did the law read on that? That's what they're going back and forth on right now in terms of what does his, what does that prenuptial say? What did he have in terms of his will? For me, it's all... Why would his mother be fighting? She wants the money!
Well, I mean, that's her baby. She she won't get it, but that's his wife. Yeah. And I think that the bulk of the estate is going to the daughter. Right. And then who's going to be the trustee or, you know, the executive. Yeah. Right. But man, it gets. And that was the issue with Kobe. Is that is the daughter not by the wife? No, it's by.
Remember that was the way he had fallen out with his family because he went signed a prenuptial agreement, you know, and so They had real issues Michael Jordan signed a pre enough prenuptial But why need to get out of that because she came up fat though this you know why she came up fat
Because he cheated, right? She put a private detective on him. Yeah, he cheated. And he was going around with white women. And she knew if she would have dropped that tape is going to kill his image. And so they went in and she got a nice, she walked out of a nice little piece of money. She was a smart black woman. Tiger Woods X. And she get about 250 million. Wow. You know, and I don't know why some broke dudes run around here. We're going to sign a pre-natural.
You know, we're gonna sign a prenuptial, right? She's gonna laugh at me. If you ever want to get a real good laugh out of Rhonda, I mean get her really tickled.
Ask her who the head of the household If you want to if you want to see her really tickle You know, I always say I'm the man of my house Jackie just tell me what what I'm gonna wear today. That's all but I run my house. Okay, you know 20th and capital She tell me so so we gotta blame
Jackie for that loud suit you wore. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day. She was off that day.
That's about that time. Oh, 20th of capital. I'll tell you what, man. I'm the head of my household. He ain't nobody there. Did you see the picture yesterday? Oh, from 1940. Yeah, that was crazy. Yeah, they showed that. That's enough. That water was higher than the one almost similar to the last one. Yeah, it's amazing that that's been happening over here this long and they've done nothing to address it. What? That's because they don't care. Michael Jackson said it better.
I noticed y'all moved away from here to household. I mean, that was. No, we're fast. Yeah. I'm talking about a flood in 1959. It's just like, boy, that is far away. We can get from the way I don't live alone. There's two other people there with me. Myself and that's it. Get it correct. Get it correct now.
I'm so alone. I had a buddy, man. He had always be talking strong in my crib. I said, man, let's get in the car and go to your crib. Yeah, I want to see this. I want to see it. I want to see it in action in real time. Man, I don't know now and maybe I shouldn't be, you know, stereotypical, but it's hard going telling black women what you ain't going to do.
I remember, um, we had, um, there was something we were going back and forth about this direct, well, it's the junk room now. Me and Rhonda. So she had ordered this carpet. I'm already upset about this room because she shouldn't have been in my mind. She shouldn't have been doing anything in the room. Was it supposed to be like the man cave or something? No, no, it's just our computer room. Okay. You know, and I, you know, so.
We've been arguing about this room for two days. So I guess the carpet came in and we had land crews in there, right? And so I said, I know one thing. You ain't going to get that rug. She walking to the door. I know one thing. You ain't using my truck. Then I yell, you need to bring my truck back.
That's what he was saying to himself
So who brought the real game when she got back? She did, you know what, no helper. I'm a man. I'm a man with pride. Did you eat that? Yeah, he ate.
One time what was it? I think way to exhale to come out. Oh boy. And we just got married, right? It was about the same time 95. So
It was playing at the North Town. North Town of 76. And they was having some issues out there. And it was a Friday night and she wasn't going. And she was, I said, I know one thing. You ain't going to the movie tonight. I guess you didn't know that. And guess what? She went. She didn't go. Really?
That's the only time No, I'm sitting up in the front room. We have my pants all up under my armpits now. That's the only time And you know what he preffers this with they were having some problems out there anyway So that means it's not that
She listened to what you said. She just didn't want to get caught up with what was going on out there. No, man. Let me take his car away. He's a little bit trying to take the win out by himself. He's a good one win. With my one win. In 31 years of marriage, one win. Hey, y'all, let me thank you, Clark. Thank you, Debo. Thank you. Apostle.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Good Lord Willow Creek. Don't rise up to talk to everybody tomorrow as always. Go for this blazing peace.
