Can Preachers Really Curse? A Spirited Discussion with Keith Parris
Community Voice · Mon Sep 14, 2026
Good morning. Welcome to Community Voice. I'm your host, Keith Pierce. Early in the morning. I just need to know from preacher's perspective. I need to know Clark. I couldn't take it. Okay. So just so y'all know, right on ask me if a person has Tourette's in the Cousin Church, will they go to heaven?
Home lives open. Let me do it. Let me shout out. So, Denise Crumble, if you listen to me, that's kind of, oh man, I miss talking to you, so I don't know. I know we were, but anyway, I'm just, just going out some names. Good morning, Clark. How are you, sir? Who are you?
Preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preachers preach
so filled with the Holy Ghost, when I got to American Baptist College, and then I found out preachers cuss. Man, listen here man, preachers are human. They human beings. There's like cuss about preachers cussing. That's right. Let them hit that baby toe in the corner or something. He's a hairy customer. But that's because in reality,
the Bible is true. Whatever is in you is going to come out of you. So, if it's still in you, it's going to come out of you. So, if that's how you, if that's how you operate, live day by day. Help us flex. All it takes, it takes for you to stuff that toe. You owe.
He said him and his wife had one. Oh they had one. Sunday morning they had one. They were in the car on the way to church and they was having it.
And he said that she was a praise and worship leader when she got up and led praise and worship. She had never led praise and worship like that. He got up and preached. You never preach like that. So she asked him after church, she said, what got into you? He said, I wasn't going to let you out hypocrite. But I'm doing it at the best that I can do.
We both hypocrites. It could happen all the way. It could happen all the way. The devil's always been right. I've seen it though. Man, you know, and that that's that's the that's the crazy piece of it because I don't know why anybody would think just because you're going to church somehow you're going to be exempt. It don't work. No, I mean, I mean, because you still human and you still operate.
You know with human feelings and oh, yeah, and your life is still going on and this is just a part of it You know, I gotta I gotta leave here. So hey, did you get down the Alpine Valley man? He was just talking about man. What was the line? What was the line like getting up in there? Oh Well, when we got there we got there kind of quick, but when we got to where that line to get up in there Yeah
almost an hour to get to where you turn at. You're where you turn at, right? And they've had the Rolling Stones down there, so that is a concert venue, man. So who was out at Alpine Valley? Pit Bull and Little John. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And Key. Yeah. Alpine Valley would never see me again. Is that right? Man, I didn't know the hills were like that, man. Oh, yeah, man, you in the Calamari. Man, listen, I tell right, I'll say, man, it's like...
It take you probably 20 minutes to get to the bathroom. And that's also in the winter time, you know, it's a ski hill. Yeah, it's a beautiful place. Yeah, it's a ski hill. But no, they've had, as a matter of fact, Stevie Ray Vaughn, when he died, he was leaving Alpine Valley. Really? Yep. That's a hard one. Yeah, but they've had the Rolling Stones down there, that concert venue. And I wonder sometimes when I'm driving,
down and I see this line. And I wonder, are they going to the Alpine Valley? But yeah, that has been. Rhonda said she went down for it. She said she saw Lionel Richard. I've never been out there. I've never been out there before, showy. It's nice, man, but I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you, tell you. You ain't used to walking up hills, steep hills.
Well, then you don't want to go to Mount St. Mary's University in Ms. Burke, Maryland. Because that is, yeah, it's a hill. It's built in the mountain. So you literally, I didn't realize how steep it was. Because maybe you're your 20s. Yeah. And I was out there in my 50s. I was going, this is a, whoa, this is. Like, wow. I used to walk this. Yeah, I used to walk this, man. It was like, oh, OK. I tell everybody, get the nosebleed seat before.
before you before you go there because if you go down with the with the seats that the bitches and all that, man, you you you gonna think twice by walking up that. So was it a whole lot of people out there? Man, was it? Yeah. Man, it was at least about it had been about at least a good 40 pounds. Man, I didn't hear nothing about the little young people. Oh man, you know, the there's not gonna be out there that people in the hood don't they may not hear about. Yeah, but they got our people out there.
Yeah, because people who follow the music, they know when people write just don't want us out there. Y'all ain't gonna want to go out there anyway. Us didn't want to go out there. What was the air quality like? Scooby-Dooish? What was that air quality?
It was nice. No, no, that ain't what I'm asking you. Partly cloudy with a chance of a whole life. Mary Joana. Mary Joana. Oh, you know what? OK, where we was at, we were 10 feet from the stage. OK. 10 feet from the stage. So in that area where they got the seed in that, you can't smoke. Oh, OK. You got to go up on the hill with a grass hat. Yeah, but you can still smell it from the ground. No, they see you smoking anything. They're going to come in and you can't turn that off. I tell you, once the lights go out. Doc.
It's dark. Hey, I thought the same thing too, but me and my cousin, man, you, cause I wanted to smoke my cigar. And then we like, man, I don't smell nothing, man. So I ain't gonna, you know, we about, you know, to, you know.
Drs. One, you know What's that Michael Anderson in the night? You know you because we went down to see I don't know if it was Parliament or if it was Frankie Beverly We went down to taste the Chicago. Oh, yeah. Yes, and we were in the reserve seating area and Man these white boys lit it up. I mean they lit it up, but then
It's legal in Illinois, and I don't know about the whole public thing, but man, they lit it up. The first time I saw Earth, Wind and Fire was in Atlanta. And dude, there was, man, that place was so, they had one cop. That place was so smoked up. I mean, if you didn't get high, you gonna get high, right? Cause I mean, people blowing it up.
all over the arena, man. And then they, the show was 60 minutes late getting started, which means they had more time to blow it up. It was like, oh, okay. I went to Wisconsin one time at the Bradley Center. It was a rap concert. I forgot who it was, but it was the Bradley Center days. And I promise you, Keith, it seemed like it was like a halo of smoke. Now, you know how big the arena was. It was a halo of smoke.
And I'm thinking I wouldn't up a smoke to it was yep. It was up a smoke. Oh, yeah Man listen here, man. I think the players came in the next day To practice it was high Because it was so much. I mean, I mean they smoked from stage I mean you look over and see the ushers with the ushers was smoking. I'm like
It was it was the craziest thing I ever saw Snoop Dogg rolled up something and passed it to the people in the audience And it was just smoking the past. I don't see how they can do it because everybody lips I don't know where your lips being. I ain't that's the only exception to the rule. I don't know where your mouth You pass the joint I don't care Now you get other things like you know people might
Even drink it out the same bottle, you know people wipe it off and drink it, you know, yeah Anyway, how's church? Well, you know That's why I love I love African people all over the world we are one You always hear people go like now, you know
Marijuana is natural. It comes from the earth.
That's an argument that I need to have a conversation with some of these preachers here. It's a fitting argument because when we was in school, you know, it comes from the earth. No, but again, and I don't want to change your topic of your show because I know you got something ready to go for the book. No, because I don't have anything. But certainly.
Before you do your What I don't see What I don't see and I called it what I don't see is any green and gold anywhere. Oh, I'll tell you why I know why Tell me why stunk up the joint man. I thought about right. I thought about DJ
Well, I mean, they in Minnesota, so they not they had enough Packer fans up there. They should have been booed because how you start the first half off the way you did. And well, first of all, does it look familiar? Of course. This night. Isn't it how they ended the season last year? Now, we really without Michael Parsons and Josh Jacobs, we in trouble because our office of line came block air.
like they can't bro. I'm watching them and I'm like, man, they can put my grandson out there. He can, he can block better than and Brian Flores as a defensive coordinator. He blitzes. That's all he does. And they was Matt. The floor has to go.
And I was saying that yesterday. Matt LaFleur has to go, all right. People thought I was tripping. I was like, dude, the season is up for dude. It was the same thing at the end of the season. It's not a talent issue. That line is questionable, but it's not a talent issue. It is a mental issue. They bailed them out three times on penalties. Now, someone on that interception and that holding call.
It don't matter because the refs gonna call the game closer because Murray got knocked out at the beginning of the game But these were some of the most bonehead and I'm listening in the car because at this point I'm going to the store Okay, and it was funny because the my neighbors across the alley had invited me over they were gonna have a pack of party and They're not even they're from California. So they had and and and I could hear the first half
I can hear folks over there here. Yeah, but I got back from the store with nobody there You know, I had this this this is I'm gonna be a football fan this this year So yesterday Frankie called me Frankie is my godson. He's a Falcon fan and so
He called me and he wanted to know how can I how can I get it? Well, so without I said, but you can go to red zone and But it wasn't very nice him not out. He is that the Packers played the Falcons in two weeks. Hey, but I'm gonna tell you something else I think that the era of Green Bay owned in Chicago is over. Oh, that's so that was over last year. Yeah. Yeah. What it was the start of it last year
Oh, they've been dominating them, but it's not. And look how tough that division is already, because every team had a winning record last year in that division. Yeah. And then for Chicago to put up 50 points, even though they gave up, they gave up almost 50. They defense is very suspect. Did you see it? Well, again, a red zone, I'm going back and forth, but man, they couldn't stop Carolina. Yeah, they couldn't stop Carolina. They couldn't stop Carolina.
Carolina and of course you playing Carolina, but to put up 50 points in the NFL game But you know people say you put up 50 points, but isn't it the defense gave up 50 points? Yeah, but you would have to orchestrate it though. Okay, and let me shout out the women's US basketball team They beat France yesterday that first half. I didn't know suspect. I didn't know
But second half, they come back and that famous Reggie Miller lied when my guy Ray Allen was going through a slump. And he said, somebody needs to tell him, is Jesus Shuttles worth? Is Jesus Shuttles worth? So somebody had to remind them and look, Asia Wilson didn't even play. Kelsey Plum didn't even play. They were injured, so they didn't even play.
And then France has all these women playing in the WNBA. You know, because I think the number one pick was from France last year, a year before. So they were good, but then all of a sudden the Americans and look, Caitlyn. Now, Angel Reese had a real good one. Caitlyn Clark at Angel Reese played very well. Angel Clark did not. And so for some of these women, this was the first time they'd ever played at the senior at this level.
But man Kelsey Gray young Stewie man, they they put they put it on a man They put it on him. So shout out shout out shout out I was over and let me let me do this and talk real quick. Can I talk about my weekend? My weekend was Relatively busy
Friday, you know, I left here for the homegoing of James Walls. I saw some people, man, I had not seen, oh my God, boy, I had not, in years, in years. But then Saturday, we had the homegoing of Sister Barbara Powell. We had church. We had church. Yeah, man, I like services like that. We had church, and she was a worshiper. So, yeah, we really had church, but Rhonda and I had stopped over to see Broad Powell on Thursday.
and took some over and, you know, and we get to talking and, and uh, uh, Paul, he, who'd he ask me about? He was, oh, he said, uh, he said, you watching WNBA? He said, I'd be watching those girls. I said, man, it's a great product. So yes, yes, yes. So we did that. And then let me shout out, uh, my cousins, uh, uh, Willie and Hilda Perkins. Saturday, they celebrated 75 years of marriage.
Wow 75 years of so let me I saw some family members I had not seen in a while and so shout out and shout out to my cousin who listens for my cousins they listen but really just to be 75 years and you know and I used to I remember they came on my mom's program and I asked them and said how do you go to work with your spouse and then have to come home.
But they made it work. They made it because when we started working from home and me and Rhonda was both in the crib. Oh, man, it was it was crowded. Mentally, it was crowded. But the cool thing was Kennedy was there. And so, you know, Kennedy had started if Kennedy uses bad words.
Who you blaming it on kids? Because when Trump would come on, Rhonda would let out expletives. That's how I knew he was on. I can hear Rhonda down there, and she's in her little high chair, and I'm sure she's just sitting up there listening. But yeah, we, as a matter of fact, I used her in my message yesterday. But yeah, to watch, yeah, this dude, this dude.
What else do we do? So, because of that, I didn't get down to Garfield Day. That was nice. Yeah, I heard it was very nice. Rhonda was saying that, but, you know, I had to. Well, if I ever get a church, I'm going to have to figure out the way that I can get right out of there. I could tell you how. My minister of music. I could tell you exactly how to write nothing. We can talk right now.
after commercial break. Hey, we talk right now, Jack. I don't know what you're coming over there. Doing your, oh god, my god.
Five Heart Beat. And you the Apollo Musician. Help a brother out. I mean, we'll do that with some DJ. Help a brother out. Help a brother out. That'd be my song, you know? So anyway, 414-444-525-0414. No, because I call Rob as Cole. Oh, OK. OK.
Okay, she coughed on me all the way to church and then she decided to put a mask on when she gets to church. Too late now, but anyway. Thank God, man, for the sun. Yeah, I had me some sun and so that'll make this go through very quickly. Yeah, you're listening to Community Voice. We're going to take a quick break and we'll be right back.
I don't know if they created a child, but it was an extra marital relationship. So, you know, he went to the Deacons. He said, the Deacons, man, they immediately embraced me, say, pastor, that's okay. That's all right, man. We understand, man. You just, man, God forgive you. Da da da, we're going to work it out. We support you. Me being the devil's advocate, Clark, I raised my hand and I asked the question.
I said, what if you went to those same deacons and said that you had a gay relationship? Would they be as embracing? Yeah, the crickets tell you. He would have been gone.
Now isn't that something that a double standard difference between being a legal observer and Being in the way being someone that folks can come up and say hand me your cell phone You know and what do you do if an officer tells you stop filming or you know to step back? It's keep filming You're on this sidewalk you have the right to film now ice just grabbed a phone up in Minneapolis, so You know but as a citizen and
Under our Constitution, you have the right to stand on this sidewalk and film and observe and tell the truth. The Bible says a woman is supposed to dress herself. I agree. But you have women who are pushing back on this idea that women has a subservient role when it comes to men.
Because the Bible's not the Bible's not telling men how to dress Show me show me the Bible where it says that men should dress modestly I Got it. I have always had it and I got seven sisters and the same and we didn't have to do that and we are all very successful women
Even though they will make public declarations, they will, you know, issue resolutions, they will say whatever they want to. He feels like militarily that there are very few countries that can come up and come for the U.S. And so and on some level, he's right. Unfortunately, on some level, he's right. But people can get us more than militarily.
You know, whether we talk about cyber attacks, infrastructure attacks, there are ways to get us back and to shut us out. We are not invincible as a nation. FM, with your host, Keith Parris. Hi. Welcome back to Community Voice. And you didn't work the NOV stage, did you? No. There was no check for me, the WNOV stage. However, there was a check on the main stage.
And that's where I was no reason why there was a Person on Facebook who was talking about something they saw down at the NOV stage and I was just now I heard And I'm glad to hear that she's doing fine, but I heard that miss Sharon Passed out at Garfield days and it was hot. Yeah, and what yeah, well
Yeah, it was a nice breeze coming through. But when you, you know, working and you sweating and things like that. And so I'm glad to hear from, you know, Clark, that she's doing well, that she's doing better and whatever the case was. But yeah, I was I was tripping with her. She said, see a Woodson's next play, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And who stole who stole the church money? That's the name of the play. You know what?
I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that. I want to go see that.
He he is an excellent play writer. I believe in this guy, man. I believe he just need that one break to with that, you know, with the financial piece, but he is really our. Tyler Perry. You know, he's he's he's our Tyler Perry and you know, I just want to say that plays too. Yeah, I just want to say this in the open, man. I want to give him his flowers.
why he can smell them. Negro, you trying to get a job. I am. So, if you're listening, uh, I'm on this, man. Uh, you can talk to my agent. Hey, that type of guy. Listen, I am asking, right? Let's try to get some work. Uh, uh, Mr. Tyler Perry. Mr. Tyler. Mr. Tyler Woodson. Uh, boy.
Shameless plug. Shameless plug. I did low key and I'm real cautious. We're talking about it until it dropped. OK, then don't know. But I got to say this, though. Your boy did make a television appearance on the show that's coming out that's going to hit the market. It's called Walkie and it's our version of the shot in a year. So that's going to be dope.
Okay, I can't tell you when and where but y'all gonna turn the TV on and be like is that and it will be Okay, I'm on my way. Well get my autograph now Listen here. It's hard being a celebrity. It's hard out here for a pimp man. I mean especially when you walk with a lip So you're going after my back
Keep coming here, looking like a broke back hip. All you needed was pink and yellow. That's all I did. And the hat, you would have been in there. I look like those pimps, those zombie pimps in Hollywood Shuffle. All the way live, my money.
So you know what's a funny movie out man. What's that? Why did I get married again? Oh Yeah, y'all need to watch that movie man. It is hilarious. I don't know how do be writing about being married and never been married. Well other people experience. No other people experience. He don't have other writers. That's one of the things that hurts Tyler Perry. He won't bring in other writers. He does all his right. So
You gotta you gotta really bless them for being prolific, but sometimes it's good to hear another voice. Yeah, because you'll get stale with hearing and seeing everything that you create. That's just like me with production. Like, I got a plethora of music. What? Plethora. I've got these rubber bands in my mouth. Spell it. P.L. Athera. That's what it is.
But having other producers and other sounds, it kind of helps you when you're building some new, you know, you're not just hearing, you hear it, you hear it with somebody else. Oh, that's dope. I can use that. I can take that.
Yeah, that is true. Let me do this. I saw it on Facebook. I really like this young brother, man. I like DJ Heinz. I like, man, I like DJ. I really do. A lot of mad respect for his dad. I like DJ. And I just want to, I think he's celebrating his 15th year, his wedding anniversary. So shout out DJ. I like that young brother, man. Good God, man. I like his spirit. I just like, not that it matters if I like him.
No, but I'm just saying no, but that's true because he's he's always been like that and I've been knowing him for years like his name was younger So he's always been consistent with that and I've never met the other brothers. So I mean, I know but I met him and yeah, so I just appreciate Hey, you listen to community voice. We're gonna take a break and we'll be right back host Keith Paris Welcome back. I heard Michelle talk a little bit on her program about the three referendums and the one about
I'm hoping it's not just churches, it would also be synagogues and mosques. I got in a whole lot of trouble doing COVID when I agreed with shutting down churches and Black folks lost a lot of folks. I'm being honest to them that that virus up in Michigan where they lost what four bishops?
in the church of God in Christ. In Albany, Georgia, they lost seven Baptist pastors. And one of the reasons, and I didn't notice until somebody pointed out, one of the reasons why the liquor store stayed open, Michelle talked about the amount of time you're in there. The other piece was you would have had a medical situation because you had alcoholics. And if they had had access to alcohol, then they're going to go into
medical distress, you know, go to DTs, go through withdrawals. There was more people at the hospital and the hospitals are already filled with people dealing with COVID. And I know that there was a whole lot of religious folks. I thought it was interesting Marcus Lam, if you all don't know who Marcus Lam is, late Marcus Lam started Daystar, which is a religious, religious network. And he refused to take the vaccine. And you know where he died from because he was a diabetic.
He died from COVID now. Hey the Lord take him. I guess that's how that's how folks kind of look at it, but it was It was the spread and and at this point people didn't know You know, we're talking about the beginning of this. We didn't really didn't know how bad was all we knew were people were dying all over the world and So you make that decision? I think to do it all over again. I would say do the same thing. I know when we did
training, we were preparing for an influenza pandemic. And it never happened. But in that training, they asked the question, this is really before we really had the advancements we saw in computers. And they said, what will you do? How will you still be able to? Because at that point, I was still doing public assistance. How do you make sure those benefits get out? Because they're going to close theaters, they're going to close malls, right? I mean, it was because we didn't know.
how that spread was. And we had no vaccine. It really had no treatment. And so, and I understand the religious folks, but I really got in trouble because I said, well, look, in my mind, you know, gas stations, there's no difference between a gas station and a church. And what did I say that for? Lord, Lord, here come the pitchforks. Here comes the.
And the point I was making was, and at the very beginning of COVID, I went and I did a little research and I asked, what does the Quran say about when we're dealing with infectious diseases? And I think it came up to say that you isolate the people, right? Because people get so deep with their religion,
that they forget that you live in a world with other people, right? And what I do can have impact on write-out. So I think that in retrospect, so people do that, and I agree with Michelle, it is a pandering to a particular group of people. Donnie Swagger, Lord, Lord Donnie Swagger.
Donnie Swagger just went all in on it. I can't believe they shut down our churches. But, and especially in a state like Louisiana, where you have, among white people, a lot of health challenges, they saved a lot of lives. They saved a lot of lives. And trust me, God ain't trippin' because you close the church down to save people's lives, okay?
Now some people you know, I don't I don't this this I don't even see this as a sacrifice of faith, but you know, we can be so Ignorant a lot of times an application of our religion that We don't I was watching one of the episodes of blackish and The junior didn't want to get a flu shot
He caused all the conspiracy theories around flu shots, and he wanted to get a flu shot. But then there was something on climate change, and he accepted all the science on climate change. His mama said, you have to be consistent. So if you accept the science around climate change, you have to accept the science around infectious diseases and vaccinations. And this is the thing about the Trump administration.
you let a person run the Department of Health and Human Services, all right, who comes in with the, she's anti-vaccine. Well, we having a measles outbreak. And a lot of that is because you tell people, look, you don't have to take your kids in to get the measles vaccine, you know, or vaccines cause autism. And let me say this, there is no scientific evidence that autism was caused by vaccines.
Many of us have been fascinated. We don't have autism We might have some other challenges, but we don't have autism So when people able to get there and and I know I've had arguments with people they call in and based on your belief and based on your feelings You know your feelings and your belief is not science and it's not fact So go on and do what you got to do Okay, but I will
As I do every year, I will get my flu shot because I understand that we reworked something would be healthy be you always get my shot. I'll get my COVID shot. And I understand now the COVID vaccine. No, the flu vaccine is based on the same technology they're using to do COVID vaccine. So until you get sick, you know, like you can go around and I don't know. And we've been taught
And in some ways, religion can be a detriment, especially the black people, right? Because it really plays on our superstition. And I'm just saying that I believe God is the God of matter and science. How do you explain the universe?
Gotta have some science and we still don't clearly understand the universe But I think that that is when I had a school teacher who said to me that the earth was created in six days I said there's a problem here. There's definitely a problem here and And we'll try to argue that and it has nothing to do with Who you are spiritually it shouldn't anyway
One of the fascinating things I was saying about Mother Powell's home going was that I think it was her daughter who got up and she said that she did her mother's obituary and she did a tribute doing the obituary. And she said that my mother was Matthew 25. She said that she tried to clothe the naked. She tried to feed the hungry.
And I thought wow to be be the manifestation of What Jesus actually talked about because it'd be some stuff out there Jesus ain't never talked about He never talked about right He and I know I got to do it. Sorry Rhonda, you know, Jesus ain't never talked about gay people Y'all sure to me you can't We talk about gay people But Jesus didn't
And so I'm just saying, now I don't know if that was an omission. Maybe with everything going on, healing the sick and giving sight to the blind, that was just an omission on his part. See, but you got to be careful with that. No, I don't. I'll tell you what, I'm not going to be careful. I'm going to stand on it. I'll tell you why. Because that's a thin line. That's like a Johnny Cash thing. Between love and hate. Amen. It's a thin line between love and hate. Johnny Cash said he walked the line.
Is is what I just said factually incorrect It's well again, you have to be careful because the with words With words, you know, you can play the word game now he didn't Speak about it by itself But it's covered under the umbrella of sin. What did I say? You you said he didn't talk about he didn't speak about Gays but he spoke about sin
Okay, now That's a different discussion. I don't want to go down that rabbit hole. All I'm saying is that there were things that Jesus specifically and explicitly talked about Right and there was things that Jesus did not talk about. Hey, here's a little fun fact Can you have fun facts about Jesus? Here's a little fun fact about Jesus, you know, Jesus never baptized So I didn't now that is true. I got to go under the water
It says his disciples did but he that yeah, Jesus walked on top. He didn't go underneath. Yeah, well, he was baptized Jesus was John the Baptist Before he started his ministry John the Baptist baptized it Oh Did he drop him in some water? Okay, I know Whatever baptism was
You know, I know, like, if you were Baptist, it's my immersion. Yeah. Or submersion. Submersion. Get a little, you know. Yeah, you go in. So... Well, you got a caller, but you also got a break, so it's up to you. Let me go to break, and then I'll have more time with the caller. All right. All right, you listen to Community Voice. We're going to take a quick break. We'll be right back. FM, with your host, Keith Parr.
All right. Welcome back. Call it. We thank you for your patience. Welcome to the program. Hey, good morning, Keith. How are you this morning? Good. I have a simple question I think is how to know you in my own land over the last couple of weeks. And it's about football. How is hitting the end zone pylon on the field side a touchdown when the pylon is in the out of bounds line of field?
Well, I don't know if it's out of bounds. No, but I mean, but it's also part of the end zone. It's also part of the end zone. Well, but it's out of bounds. Well, when you look at the problem, it's out of bounds. Well, yeah, if it if it crosses, I mean, but hold on, hold on. Yeah, that's just like the lines.
That's on the football field. Now the lines are out of bounds right off to the side. But if I cross, if I cross the threshold for the touchdown, regardless of the woods in that threshold, it's a touchdown because I've crossed that line. So the pylon falls right there by the line. So if I cross that line, even if I put the ball past the pylon, that's crossing the threshold. So that's a touchdown.
If you put the ball past the pylon on the field side, I accept the notion that's a touchdown. I don't accept the notion that's a touchdown. If it is the field phase of the pylon, because the pylon is out of bounds. Yeah, but also just like those lines are considered boundaries and it's out of bounds. If you cross the threshold.
with the line still being out of bounds, you still score. It's a touchdown. I don't quite understand that reason. Well, because it's out of bounds. That's correct. But how could it be a touchdown? It says here, I pulled it up, said pylon sits completely out of bounds at the intersection of the sideline, sideline and the goal line extended. Why the pylon is out of bounds position definition.
How touching the touchdown really if a bomb if a ball in a player's possession touches the pylon, why the players airborne and legally inbounds it counts as a touchdown. Right. The rationale is touching the pylon proves the ball broke the vertical plane of the goal line before or at the exact moment it went out of bounds. Yeah. You're right. It is confusing. It's confusing. And anyway, if it's a room, I'm going to accept that notion.
And I don't know what has happened and over the time most people have watched football games The second question I raised I guess is having watched the women of the Packard game yesterday It's about the Roughing the quarterback rule Now yesterday there were a number of times that the Packard quarterback got pushed down after he reduced the throw to the receiver
Yeah. And there was no call. Yeah. How every one of the major penalties that Packers got was roughing the passer. Hold it. Which gave the Vikings the ball back in a 50, a 10 or a 50 year penalty. Yeah, yep. Now, if you want, we're left with a game. And you can clearly make sure that all his weight did not, yeah, he was bracing himself where he basically, but I think a lot of that came from when Kyla Murray
got knocked out the game. And now, but you're right, it didn't seem like that Jordan Love was getting the benefit of the doubt. And you know, here's the thing, Jordan Love, you are not Aaron Rodgers. Stop the one off your back foot. Yeah, man, stop it. No, but you're right. There was some now. The Packers, it was like it changed the whole game. Yes, it changed the whole game. I understand their professionals.
That play is supposed to be but the some of these and they were questionable Some of them some of them hit that's some questionable rules info and football particularly pro football and Unfortunately, it almost seems like a lot of my interpreted Based on who the teams are who's what team is playing with team? Mm-hmm conspiracy Because if you there's enough football on TV and enough replays made
Then you see a lot of examples you see a lot of differences in the way calls are made by different officiating crews Well, can I get one where Minnesota benefited that punt return? Nobody touched him. Nobody touched him. Nobody touched him, you know, they were talking about all where he touched him and he was something No, no one really touched him. But was that a handoff out of the backfield? Was it a handoff?
It could have been, right, but nobody touched him. Yeah, it was because it was Jones. Yeah, nobody touched him. So the package benefited from that. It gives you an example of technology not always being absolutely reliable. Because, supposedly, the technology showed that the defensive man touched him. But he didn't cause him, he didn't touch him when he was down. He didn't even show that, yeah. And his touching here could make him go down.
Once he goes down though, after being touched, he can't get up and running more in pro football. Right, but remember he ran into his own lineman. That's what knocked him down. I'm only left to remember when you got knocked down even by a defensive player, you could get up and run if you weren't held. Yeah. Yeah. That's a long time ago. That was a long time ago, man. That was still before face mass, right?
As a matter of fact, you had leather face masks before you had plastic. I'm sorry, go ahead. I just think, man, the Packers picked up where they left off last year. They couldn't hold a lead. And you have 22 points. Let me share something that's controversial at the Packers. My grandson and I often talk about my belief
That the packer quarterback is not as good as you give him credit to be and then he folds When the pressure gets real intense. Yep, I agree to the point where he becomes an accurate on his passes. Yep, and he can't seem to pick up receivers Very well if he's in a hurry Now some of the packer quarterbacks in that file was one of them. He could find a receiver even a hurry
And even the person I don't like who's the current guy doing a lot of talking from his back. He's playing he plays the one good proteins used to be a packer long-term packer quarterback He was good at finding receivers that you did Rodgers and Rodgers. Yeah He was good at receiving finding receivers under stress. I don't see The current quarterback being that good at that
He's not he did a comparison yesterday between I guess when far and Rogers both was one MVP's their fourth season That's not gonna happen with this dude, and you're right I mean statistically you look at him you go, oh man, dude had a good game He only threw one interception, but it's when he throws the interception that matters Yeah, you know, I mean it was like dude you you just and some of this is just mechanics
He has a strong arm. He doesn't have Aaron Rodgers arm All right, Aaron Rodgers man when when God created a throwing arm he gave it to Aaron Rodgers I mean not only just the the velocity on the ball the accuracy on the ball I mean all these things. This is not Jordan Love and no disrespect. I understand it's hard following the legend But some of the weaknesses you pointed out are obvious
I sense that we had a strong arm. And his height is a little bit better than I think in Rodgers, isn't it? So that means he has his height. And it gives him a little bit better views than you. It's about the same height. Well, it gives him a pretty good view of his field. And yet they don't seem to be able to take advantage of that. The last point I would make is that a large part of the package problems, really, are with the coach.
The coach is very predictable at calling plays. And there's very little deception in some of the plays they call, and the other teams seem to know that. Yeah, and then, even the text reports off the board, and then you're not going to be able to get that first down. Right. And it went downhill from there. It just spiraled. It went downhill from there. So I agree. I think I started the program off what I think Matt LaFour should have been. He should have been fired last year.
He might get fired this year because that that you know, and they said it I guess since Tomlin is left That you know, he's one of the longest tenure coaches in NFL But the question is can you get folks over and the Packers have the talent? It's not like they don't have the talent they have the talent But I think it's it falls on him man, but I agree with you Okay, I appreciate that question. Thank you. Call it up to the program Good morning
Oh, good. Good morning. You know what? I hope we get something going on better here in Milwaukee, because I was going down, the Italian is doing this beat up accurate, just flew through the light. And if the woman would have went through that light, that woman would have been dead. And I know that little bastard don't got nothing to lose. I was hoping he would have hit that light pole and it would have wrapped around it like a bow tie.
and is here where it came off his body and is sitting on top of the light pole with his eyes blinking. You know what I mean? And I said it, and I mean it. And I hope time typically don't start walking around here and no diaper like the rest of you Republicans doing. Because you know every time they got this thing when stuff happened, everybody want to put 10 pounds on their ears and get all their sympathy. You going to wear a poopy, pissy, dooky diaper now?
Because you're still ain't sitting on my seats. Y'all always want to do this stuff for extra things. And furthermore, why the hell you on the airplane when you go on the Warsaw? You could have took that 94 to I-39. That's in Wisconsin. You need a set and a two-plane jet to go to Warsaw. You white, you're supposed to be in G-Phone. Business class.
You could get something to cut with a dance a break cut on the airbag a couple of Wow All right, man, I appreciate you Hey, man, I think I'm gonna fly from here to Racine man Jesus you all love the Lindsey Clancy trial
Man brother They ought to order because you got all these white people getting on these talk shows talking about and yeah You know everybody was ready to do this, but it was one person so they asked you know Who was it wasn't and all of them says it was it's one black guy
Well, no, are we sure that because it says here Ron DeSantis offers asylum to hold out juror in the lens in the Lindsay Clancy case Yeah, so but uh, I hadn't I knew I you know when it when the verdict came out what lack of verdict came out and it was considered a hung jury in this trial It wasn't until me and Rhonda was in the car and we were listening to Karen Hunter
And that's when, because I guess Gail King had interviewed one of the jurors. Yeah, yeah. And Gail kind of set it up for what I'm hearing. This dude is catching it, man. All because these people were holding the lady accountable. But here's what's interesting. That white juror in Mr. Scott's case in South Carolina, who held out.
Because he could not see himself Convicting that police officer. Is he catching the same hell this dude now? I don't even know if this dude a black is black or white. No, they actually said He talked about the guy from the case, right? Yeah, like yeah, they said well, you know The jury was all what it was all white except for one black man It's one black man
and the rest of the jewelry was white. So everybody else, you know, they sided one way, but he's the only one that's like, no, I need more evidence. Like I said, baby, he sees something in case they're dancing. But how you gonna get mad at this dude? And, you know, try to... They got blame on somebody? Yeah, but how you gonna get mad at this dude? That's what I'm all about. Well, I mean... It's because of him.
Yeah, I mean that's a caller. Welcome to the program. I didn't know but I know he's catching it. Yeah, he's catching it. Good morning. Good morning. How are you? I'm doing well and well for us. You doing okay? I'm better. Yeah, I'm good. Yeah, that's good. I was calling to see if you coughed over the cornbread. If not, I have nothing to talk about. Did I do what?
Caught over the cornbread instead of kissing me They both cornbread they both cornbread so Lee all right, they both cornbread there
But there's always good to hear from her. You know, some of you purists out here, man. You know. No, Jiffy is cake. Yeah, some of y'all are the people.
Album cut number seven nobody
And I must don't know much about now. Now, being the hypocrite that I am. You know what? I do do that when Earth was in fire, right? You know what? That's just like that Johnny Gil song. One night, everybody think that's a new song. Oh, yeah. Right. That song is old. It wasn't in rotation. Was it in rotation? Yeah. But I'm just, you know, like, I'll be going like, and let me shout, I think what's happening is don't let's see the zebra.
uh when I was talking about I used this line lover's eyes are blessed there's only seen the the best from the I am album I can't let go and they knew what I was talking about yeah yeah but you always you know you know what I'm talking about right that that that that that one dude yeah that you know you the only one listen to the whole album first of all yeah and then get mad at us you don't know about cut seven that's just like oh I stopped at the cut too so that's just like me
naming all of the Bugs players at the end of the bench. Right. It is like, you don't, like you don't know Paul McKeskey. You don't know Dan Gazza or the five dudes where they won the championship and they was in the blowout game. We didn't know those dudes weren't, they was on the team. I think Vanessa's was part of that five, wasn't he? We didn't know those dudes was on the team. No question. I got a question though. Whatever happened to Dan Gazza reach? Who?
See? Whatever happens to this dude, man? Who? Who? Dan Gazzarese. Who? And Clark, you know my theory. If Keith was playing, who's hurt? Because there's got to be a reason why he's playing. There's no reason he's accusing me of war. So Keith was in the game. I don't know what the game still matters. Who's hurt? Who's hurt? Who's hurt?
Let's get him fixed right away, but I'm gonna tell you a real fan a real fan will defend everybody on the roster Everybody on the roster you be going like I don't know man dude is only 511 I don't he can pay for four million a year that might be Yeah, cuz I'm a real bucks fan. Yeah, I mean you you obviously yeah, I mean from from
from A.J. Green to Pete Nass. I'm the other Nass kid that can't play. No, but he can shoot. He can shoot. Did he come out to G League? When he he they brought him up from the G League, didn't they? Well, no, and his brother, I mean, they're not their dad. No, I think they're not their dad Larry. Larry is no because I'm like the place for Cleveland.
That's the other brothers. Yeah, but you know that old man played for Cleveland. Well, yeah, yeah Larry wrote Larry dance. Yeah, I mean, you know you you man You know disrespect y'all. Yes, it is. It's very disrespectful Yes, it is Call it welcome to the program Good morning Hey
I got a pet peeve and I'm ripped. I just want to get this off of my chest and then I'm gonna hang back. How long does COVID been over? It's still ain't over. It ain't over. It ain't over. I mean, we're out and about and stuff now, right? We can go in buildings. I don't think they make us do that. You know where you gotta stand six feet behind somebody and you don't wear a mask anymore, correct? Right. And we can go to the DMV, right? Right.
I'm tired of seeing these cars without no license plates. If you can buy a car, get your license plates. But, George, though, you got a way for it to come, too, man. So some people might be in the process of waiting, like I am. Like, I don't have plates on my car, but I'm waiting for them to send it in the mail. Well, I think what George is referring to was doing COVID.
Police weren't enforcing license, registration, all those things. You say, George, you didn't think of that. What you think of that? Yeah. All right. Appreciate you. They might be waiting on their plates, too. Don't make an assumption. You know what? You don't know. Here's one of my little pet peeves.
If you got a G.O., how do you have custom plates? Call and welcome to the program. Why do you not have custom plates? I bless. Call and welcome to the program. Call and welcome to the program. Good morning. Good morning. I was at the real deal yesterday, boy. I'll tell you, boy. I was at the real deal. Hey, keep playing there, Arizona. You're going to hear Donald's home real quick.
I'm surprised. This dude here, man. This dude on the ball in the rub in the butter. You know what? I had anticipated this phone call. And notice what he called. Right. Hey, listen, listen, soon as soon as the game was over, we said, damn, I got it. It was the morning.
It's tough Mondays, man. Hey, but it's just funny. It's a tough Monday. On Sundays when Seattle lose, we don't hear from him on Mondays, though. No, we get about Thursday. Yeah, Thursday. About Thursday of the week. Did he always work it? Right. He was working with the Packers. Hey, look, I'm going to work now. He just made the point.
There was some consolation when I watched it I went like oh, okay
But they ain't playin' nobody, though. Yeah, they ain't playin' nobody. And they should really be ashamed of themselves. Carolina put up what? They put up 50 some points. Yeah, I mean, they put it this way. Carolina put up more points than y'all did, and they didn't even win. See, I knew that was coming. That's true. And they didn't give up a lead like we gave up, right? Yeah, but I knew that was coming. Minnesota defense, and they offer some liners way better than...
Hey, hey, the best thing happened was when Tom already got knocked up again because I told our dude was garbage and it was on the cards and he was like, when he was helping and I think on 11th week and they didn't put him in. Well, you know what? And we let Carson Wentz hang around just long enough that he got his confidence because he was shaky in the first half. And then it was just like, you know, it's going to be tough, man. We're going to be looking for a new coach.
Look somebody somebody about to lose a job to Minnesota calmer calmer gonna be the backup He keep it up. I'm trying to figure out no disrespect to short quarterbacks. Yeah, but what is he five six? Five six five seven. I mean, you know, and no disrespect The last the last short quarterback Has a Super Bowl right Russell Wilson Russell Wilson
Did you see him do his little sideline thing? I don't know what kind of haircut dog was wearing. Did you see him? I think he's with CBS. Is he? Yeah. So he's a sideline reporter? No, he's one of the... Yeah, he's a reporter. No, he's an author. Not an author, but a broadcast. Studio, you know, for the studio. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah. And put it this way. Sierra must have got that good, good, because that's number five. Well, kids? Yeah, she played it again.
Okay, well he gotta work You know who was really good, I don't know if you got the game Arizona, but you know who was really good JJ Watt was really good yesterday Listen, I got red zone fam. I'm with you. So I don't see none of that fam. Oh, I had red zone on yesterday. What were you talking about man? I said I'm with you. I said I got red zone fam
But, uh, but if you judge a what really did call a real good game yesterday, I got to give him credit. He was good. He was really good. J. J. What? J. J. What? Got to thank Tony Romo for that. Oh, my people on grandma's and grandpa's house. Have you had any liquor? He says zero. Wait a minute. Hold on. Is Michael Irving back at ESPN?
Yeah, but that's he did the studio
He's back in studio. Not the cocaine cowboy. No, no, no. When he got caught with the weed, it was the Thursday before the game, and he didn't tell ESPN after the game. He gotta get busted. So he came and did the show, and then it was like, you know he called a case, right? I got to check. I got to check. So Josh Jenkins, the second middleman is six. That's like getting fired at coming to work.
Yeah, they said and I gotta appreciate this honesty they said well, why did you tell us he said cuz I was scared
Yeah, well, how about how about just Jacob's video of the altercation? No, it's been sealed and the NFL wants a copy of it and the judge is saying no it's sealed
why would you sell it if you really you know why you know that's what that's what money do that's what money do. No but what I'm saying is you have already put it out there that he is abusive you already put that out. Well he's pleaded and the question becomes but they changed it though so he pleaded to to what they changed to Mr. Meaders. That's significant. Yeah but he pleaded no contents to that Mr. Meaders but not the DV.
But he's in a diversion with that because what he'll do is they will vacate it if he stays out of trouble for a year. The question you have right now with the NFL is because they have this whole after Ray Rice, this whole zero tolerance when it comes to DV, they need the video.
I think he's gonna be able to go in and say well, what proof do you have or how bad it was if you don't have a copy of the video? Yeah, I think you know you now he's getting paid now He's getting paid now. So, you know, it's not a question. Oh, yeah, he wants to play football
And I appreciate that. And from everything you hear, it sounds like it was a, it was a fight. Let me do this, man. I'm up on a break. But appreciate you. Thank you for the consolation. I know your heart, you know, you just really, really concerned about how deeply grieved we are here today. Man, Arizona trash, man. You listen to the community voice, go take a break with me right back.
Keith Parrish. Hi, welcome back to Community Voice. Hey, Thursday night, I did go to Archies. Did you? Yeah, I did. Man, listen, I'm not even gonna lie, man. When you exposed me to Archies, that was one of the best burgers in shape I've had a long time. And I couldn't even finish the whole thing, bro.
Archies like I couldn't even finish the whole thing like I had to take it home and give it to my son That's how big and how much it was Man listen here man. I took my nephew. He was here and He had just gotten military so he was home on leave and say man we let's go to go to lunch And I took him over to Joe cafe when they were still owned by the white folks. That was right Yeah, and he ordered a meatloaf dinner huge and he had to take half the dinner home with yeah
You know, that's where we planned our wedding. Joe's at Joe's Cafe. And I love Joe's Cafe. Well, what even now with the young people that actually they're doing a good job because the portions man was but you know what? You smell like it on Saturdays. I take my mom breakfast and and so, you know, she has the hash browns with onions.
And man, me and Rhonda was in the car. We were on our way to a funeral. We smelling like onions. Yeah, hash browns. Hash browns. I got to hurry up and get this out the car, man. Cousins of onions. Woo! I don't know what kind of onions cousins got for them. When you were younger, I did a lot of my peers. Oh, I don't eat onions. Yeah, I used to eat them. Oh, man. See, but I used to eat the onions when my sinuses would get clogged up real bad. OK.
And if you take an onion and chew on it, it'll open up your sinus processes. Yeah. Yeah, I know some certain things. I know when I make meat sauce for spaghetti, I also do scallions. Oh, and cut those bad boys up. But I mean, now that's really a pungent onion. You know, but it gives up. And I didn't realize onions have these different tastes like a red onion that's going to taste different. Oh, yeah.
Valdesta, is that the Valdalia? Yeah, I think one of them is sweeter than the other one. Yeah, in the Valdalia, it's sweeter. It's way in the sweet, and yeah, that one, but on the red one, it's a little sweet. 414-444-525-04414, 444-525-0. What we got in the chat, other than good morning, so you can see where we are in the chat.
this morning. Let's see. Happy Monday. Everyone knows I'm late, but just got in from take off. So it's a great Monday. Hey, Barbara Smith. Let's see. George said he saw George, Michael and Madonna at Alpine Valley. Okay. The Meach calling in here. Not your son. He called Michelle's brother. What was he talking about?
He won't talk about nothing. He ain't never talking about You talked about a giant turkey listen here man them turkey tips Whoo Jack somebody said hold on. Let me let me go back Those turkey tips down at Garfield days was amazing like amazing You know, and I'm still stuck on that tomato cobbler that I had
A few weeks ago like I've never tasted anything like that in my life Call a welcome to the program
Hi, hi to the brothers in the studio too. I can't wait to know how you feel again. Hey, how you doing? I'm glad. Okay, you know, I know you guys are talking about, you know, Alpine values. Let me get that out of the way. You know, from Denver, Colorado, Keith, and you know, we have those high attitudes out there. And so, you know, you and I are on the same page. We'll be honest with you.
And we went to Red Rock's amphitheater. It's a beautiful place. It's like one hour outside in Denver, Colorado. If you ever get out there, that's where it's organized. There's a lot of their concerts and Tower of Power and some of the folks that I love from Tower of Power. Oh my God. So I grew up listening to a lot of them up and down the coast of California in Denver, Colorado. That's it.
So one thing there is that you do, I do a lot of hiking out in the hills, of course I ride and enjoy myself in my youth. And now will I get on a horse now? Probably not. However, if I could introduce my younger people to a horse that can ride anything that can do so.
They would enjoy it if they were learning on horseback rides. Like I told you before, Pam's rear, she has a ranch out there and that's what she does with the youth in Colorado. They dig their out down her ranch from doing the type of activities. That's just one of the many things that I appreciate about her.
With that being said though, yesterday one of the things that we read in church was, was, was fading. Yeah. I can't remember what the song was. I thought that was one, but I should have remembered it when he was pleasing God about his praise and him and what he did for him. Yeah, he helped me with that one. I should have remembered it, but I didn't. But I gotta go back and remember what Pastor preached about.
You know, rest in the Lord, all my soul. Help me down here. And all that's within me? Yes, that's what we need. Is that the Psalms? Annette, why don't you do this for me, dear? I need to take a break. Can you hold on? Yes. OK. You're listening to Community Voice. We're going to take a quick break. We'll be right back.
Now isn't that something that a double stand the difference between being a legal observer and Being in the way being someone that folks can come up and say hand me your cell phone You know and what do you do if an officer tells you stop filming or you know to step back? It's keep filming You're on this sidewalk you have the right to film now ice just grabbed a phone up in Minneapolis, so You know but as a citizen and
Under our Constitution, you have the right to stand on this sidewalk and film and observe and tell the truth. The Bible says a woman is supposed to just...
You know, so whether we talk about cyber attacks, infrastructure attacks, there are ways to get us back and to shut us out. We are not invincible as an A. Hi, welcome back. Annette, go ahead, dear. I'm sorry. I think I was fine. Okay.
I guess the part that they're really touching when my pastor was preaching to us, he was talking about our souls. There are things that is not made in us, but the one thing that our spirit can do is have good spirits. What we can do is show who we are as a person and do what we need to do to make our lives
and our ourselves better people. What can we do? Well, we don't have to just sit around and not do nothing. If we're able people to do what we need to do to make our children's lives if we can, and our brain children's lives and ourselves, the better people, start it with yourself. Like you said,
Knowledge is power. And God said that. He said, my people perish for the lack of knowledge. That is correct. If you know that something is bad for you, then don't do it. I mean, He gives you that free will. And that's the one thing that goes in my head. I think about that all the time. I know that if I walk in front of this car, I'm going to get hit.
And then again, if I'm in my car, I should be aware of my surroundings, because there's danger around here in the corner. Welcome in Spain, if you want to see. But I choose not to live in fear. It's a realm of every single day. So what I'm trying to say is, this is a complex world that we're living in right now. And I'm going to get on with radio waves right now.
I just want to just say, there is hope. I'm trying to be, I only get up on Monday morning and still gloom and gloom. I just want to be an encouraging person to try to, to say, keep your head up and try to just say, I'm going to get up one more day and I'm going to try and make a difference in this world. You just want to speak into a young person or speak into a young sister or young man and say, hey, how was school today?
powers, you know, or your brother, because I have children, they're adults now, but there's some mothers out there that need some help too. So basically that was the nature of my call, you know, and the sadistic thing, the mind and me of that. So that was the nature of my call to you guys today. And I appreciate it again with this radio.
station does for this community and I want to always say thank you and God bless you guys. Thank you for listening and contributing. Appreciate you. Okay. Bye bye. Yeah. Yeah. So the backstory on that song was when it was played to Usher, he didn't like it.
He didn't like it at all. He laughed at that song. They laughed at that song. One of the biggest hits, right? One of the biggest records, yeah. Yeah, but that goes to show you, just even from the biblical point of view, the spy's not small beginnings. Like, that was a small song to usher. Usher was like, like, man, this song is...
Nowhere near any of my other songs that we got on the market and they laughed and ridiculed that song Well, you know and with adults we say no before we say yes. Yep You know, I mean that that we're gonna say no. Hey, the world is round. Nope There you go like and then we think about it But it's funny kids will say yes before they'll say no because they don't have any knowledge of any knowledge of anything and so
But yeah, adults will say no before they say yes We will deny deny deny deny deny call along to the program Good morning
Yeah. All right. I appreciate you. Wow. Yeah. I think she had masterpiece. Yeah. Yeah. So nice. I was there. She's part of our, our collaboration, our fatherhood collaboration. So I was there teaching a class. I was upstairs, which is really nice. But Dousa is pretty nice. The catfish looks good. So yep. So good luck with that.
You know it is the restaurant business is tough. Yeah, and I don't know if I if I mentioned I think I did I'll just mention it again Robert RC Schmidt has passed people back in the day remember RC's Yeah, water street brewery No, he's in the 70s. He was Kenny and I he was the coach on our state champions one of the coaches on our state championship team and his brother Rick played with us
And so, um, he, he has a, he has a funeral mass coming up, man. I'm going to spend some time, uh, saying Roberts is, uh, it was, I don't know if it's still is, um, the most wealthy parish in the state. They're in short, what, right across the street or up the street from Felix funeral. Um, but yeah, Rob, Rob was a good guy. He really was a good guy.
You know how it is, man. When you're not playing as much as you think you should be playing, you need a coach there to say, that's all right. Just wait your turn. Get ready. Wait your turn. Stay in position. Stay ready. And hopefully when they call you, you don't. When I was coaching seventh and eighth graders, and I had two very, very good teams, very good teams. And we only had eight guys on the team. Michael Locke was on that team.
His brother Marlin older brother older brother. Yeah, Melvin Melvin days So and the reason why Mike was on the team was because Melvin couldn't come without Mike and so I said, okay, but Mike worked hard I mean that that's a whole different story and When we be blowing teams out
Coach put me in coach. You gonna let me play coach. I mean they in my pocket Let us be in a close game against a good team. They don't move into a different zip code. I'm like, we're my bitch They don't put me in the game because they don't if they mess up That's a long walk home. Your bench is on the other side. Yeah The other team like don't put me in. Yeah. So, you know people always, you know, you hope that you're ready
If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready and I was talking about yesterday when that door opens You need to be prepared to walk through it because everybody be talking about put me in put me up and then when they put you up You know, you just It's man, and I know what it is the freeze, you know Yeah, but
Yeah, you gotta you gotta you gotta be ready man. I would have I Cannot get this woman's name. I want to she's a therapist And she came and she did women's Day of Metropolitan years ago and she said you know this journey is no accident Things that you would think would be why am I doing this? This ain't go I using this right now and then something will happen
And that thing that you thought wasn't important is something that you can use, right? And she gave you the example of, you know, she's working with people who are trying to get through a terminal cancer diagnosis and trying to help them end the life kind of things. And she said, and she did it in prison, right? She said, I never knew it would prepare me for when my husband.
contracted terminal cancer. So all these things that you go through, they were things that I learned when I worked at NPS Recreation. Oh man, because we always had in-service, right? Always had in-services on Friday. And you learn all these different things. And then you find yourself in a situation and something would come to you and say, why don't we try this? And then you go, well, where'd you learn that? And it's going like, dude, when I was in rec in in-service.
There are things that you don't think is important that you learn in life. Rhonda remembers this. Rhonda used to be the family health plan where currently, who's in there, People Heritage, you know, MLK, but there are other right across from New Birth. And Rhonda was the, she was the clinic director.
Back then, it's illegal now, but back then, the pharmaceutical agents would throw these parties for doctors to get them to, you know, use their product. And so we went up to Elkhart. Is that Elkhart Lake? What'd they do? The racing? Not too far. No, no, it's north. Oh, north. Yeah, near Slinger. And we went up, not Slinger South, but we went up anyway. Rhonda and I, the only two black people there.
Right, we're the only two black people there and so they do things and the year we went up it was country-western, right? And so again, we're the only two black people there so they're doing a giveaway and They asked the question they said What was the best country? What was best by the CMA best country group?
And I immediately said Brooks and done And you saw the stunned silence like how do you know that and my wife says he watches a lot of television That's why I love trivia so much man. They're in my mind. There is no unimportant fact There's no unimportant fact and that that leaves you here people call it trivia. It's not really trivia. It's information and you never know
You never know when you're gonna need that information Clark Kent. Thank you Jermaine right out. Thank you apostle appreciate you Let's see Michael Jackson said to start with the man in the mirror help us Me and my buddy was talking about we said man bad came after thriller, but bad is such a great album
It's a great album, but you follow thriller, you know, it's like Phil Bankston follow Vince Lombardi Thank everybody for being part of the program today good Lord willing Creek don't rise hope to talk to everybody tomorrow. Oh, and happy birthday Carolyn Spinks Carolyn our colleague here She makes the train run on time y'all appreciate you appreciate job go from this question
Early in the morning.
I just need to know from
I couldn't take it.

cuss.
Man, listen here man, preachers are human.
That's right.
Let them hit that baby toe in the corner
or something.
He's a hairy cuss word.
But that's because in reality,
the Bible is true.
Whatever is in you is going to come out of you.
So, if it's still in you, it's going to come out of you.
So, if that's how you if that's how you operate, live day by day,
Take for you to stuff that toe.
You are.
He said
they had one.
And he said that she was a praise and worship leader when she got up and led praise and worship.
She had never led praise and worship like that.
He got up and preached.
You never preach like that.
So she asked him after church, she said, what got into you?
He said, I wasn't going to let you out hypocrite.
But I'm doing
it at the best that I
can do.
the
It don't work.
No, I mean, I mean, because you still human and you still operate.
You know with human feelings and oh, yeah, and your life is
line?
What was the line like getting up in there?
Oh Well, when we got there we got there kind of quick, but when we got to where
in there Yeah
almost an hour to get to where you turn at.
man.
So who was out at Alpine Valley?
And Key.
Yeah.
Alpine Valley would never see me again.
right?
Man, I didn't know the hills were like that,
Man, listen,
right, I'll say, man, it's like...
It take you probably 20 minutes to get to the bathroom.
hill.
But
when
a hard
Yeah, but they've had the Rolling Stones down there, that concert venue.
And I wonder sometimes when I'm driving,
down and I see this line.
And I wonder, are they going to the Alpine Valley?
But yeah, that has been.
Rhonda said she went down for it.
She said she saw Lionel Richard.
I've never been out there.
I've never been out there before, showy.
It's nice, man,
but I'm gonna tell you.
I'm gonna tell you, tell you.
You ain't used to walking up hills, steep hills.
Mary's University in Ms.
Burke, Maryland.
Because that is, yeah, it's a hill.
It's built in the mountain.
So you literally, I didn't realize how steep it was because maybe you're your 20s.
Yeah.
Man, I was out there in my 50s.
I was going, this is a, whoa, this is.
Like, wow, I used to walk this.
Yeah, I used to walk this, man.
It was like,
okay.
I tell everybody, get the nosebleed seat before.
before you before you go there because if you go down with the with the seats that the the bitches and all that man you you you gonna think twice by walking up that so
whole lot of people out there
man at least about had to be about at least a good 40 pounds man
I didn't hear nothing about the little young people oh man
may not hear
people
they
when people write just don't want us out there.
Y'all ain't gonna want to go out there anyway.
Us didn't want to
was that air quality?
It was nice.
No, no, that
ain't what I'm asking
you.
Partly cloudy with a chance of
a whole life.
Mary
Joana.
They're going to come
Doc.
It's dark.
Hey, I thought the same thing too, but me and my cousin, man, cause I wanted to smoke my cigar.
And then we like, man, I don't smell nothing, man.
So I ain't gonna, you know, we about, you know, to, you know.
Drs.
One,
Yes,
we were
I mean they lit it up, but then
It's legal in Illinois, and I don't know about the whole public thing, but man, they lit it up.
The first time I saw Earth, Wind and Fire was in Atlanta.
And dude, there was, man, that place was so, they had one cop.
That place was so smoked up.
I mean, if you didn't get high, you gonna get high,
right?
more time to blow it up.
It
like, oh, okay.
I went to a concert one time at the Bradley Center.
It was a rap concert.
I forgot who it was, but it was the Bradley Center days.
And I promise you, Keith, it seemed like it was like a halo of smoke.
Now you know how big the arena was.
It was a halo of smoke.
And I'm thinking I
wouldn't up a smoke to it was
yep.
It was up a smoke.
Oh, yeah
Man listen here, man.
I think the players came in the next day To practice it was high Because it was so much.
I mean, I mean they smoked from stage I mean you look over and see the ushers with the ushers was smoking.
I'm like
It was it was the craziest thing I ever saw Snoop Dogg rolled up something and passed it to the people in the audience And it was just smoking the past I don't see how they can do it because everybody lips I don't know where your lips being.
I ain't
You
all
earth.
No, that's an argument that I need to have a conversation with some of these
you know, it comes from the earth.
No, but again.
I don't want to change your topic of your show, because I know you got something ready to go for
joint,
Should
Yeah, they should.
Well, I mean, they in Minnesota, so they not.
They should have been booed.
Because how you start the first half off the way you did.
And well, first of all.
Of
last year?
Of course.
Now, we really...
without Michael Parsons and Josh Jacobs.
We in trouble because our office of line can't block air.
Like they can't, bro, I'm watching them and I'm like, man, they can put my grandson out there.
He can, he can block better than
all he does.
Matt
And I was saying that yesterday.
Matt LaFleur has to go.
People thought I was tripping.
I was like, dude, the season is up
Now on that interception,
And that holding call.
It don't matter because
closer
out
the
of
But these were some of the most bonehead and I'm listening in the car because at this point I'm going to the store.
Okay.
And it was funny because the my neighbors across the alley had invited me over they were gonna have a pack of party and They're not even they're from California.
So they had and and and I could hear the first half I can hear folks over there here.
Yeah, but I got back from the store with nobody there You know I had this this this is
I'm
Frankie
Hey, but I'm going to tell you something else.
I think that the era of Green Bay owned in Chicago
It's over.
Oh, that's
over.
That was over last year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, it was the start of it last year.
So, you know, I like to
because
in that division.
Yeah.
You know, and then for Chicago to put up 50 points, even though they gave up, they gave
They defense is very suspect.
Yeah, they couldn't stop Carolina.
Yeah, they couldn't stop Carolina.
But Carolina, and of course you play Carolina, but to put up 50 points in the NFL game.
Suspect.
Is Jesus Shuttles worth?
So somebody
Kelsey Plum didn't even play.
They were injured, so they didn't even play.
And then France has all these women playing in the WNBA.
You know, because I think the number one pick was from France last year, a year before.
So they were good, but then all of a sudden the Americans and look, Caitlyn.
Now, Angel Reese had a real good one.
Caitlyn Clark at Angel Reese played very well.
Angel Clark did not.
And so for some of these women, this was the first time they'd ever played at the senior at this level.
But man, Kelsey Gray, Young, Stewie, man, they put it on him, man.
They put it on him.
So shout out, shout out, shout out.
I was over and let me do this.
Can I talk about my weekend?
My weekend was relatively busy.
Friday, you know, I left here for the homegoing of James Walls.
I saw some people, man, I had not seen, oh my God, boy, I had not, in years, in years.
But then Saturday, we had the homegoing of Sister Barbara Powell.
We had church.
We had church.
Yeah, man, I like services
They
made it because when we
That's how I knew he was on.
Well,
it.
I could tell you how.
My minister of music.
I could tell you exactly how right now, we can talk right now.
after commercial break.
Hey, we talk right now, Jack.
I don't want you coming over
I mean, we'll do that with some DJ.
Help a brother out.
That'd be my song, you know?
So anyway, 414-444-525-0-414-414-514.
No, because I call Rob as Cole.
Oh, OK.
OK.
Okay, she coughed on me all the way to church and then she decided to put a mask on when she gets to church.
Too late now, but anyway, thank God man for the sun.
It would have been gone.
You're on this sidewalk you have the right to film now ice just grabbed a phone up in Minneapolis, so You know but as a citizen and
Under our Constitution, you have the right to stand on this sidewalk and film and observe and tell the truth.
The Bible says a woman is supposed to dress
Show

it says
that
men should
dress modestly
I Got it.
I have always had it and I got seven sisters and the same and we didn't have to do that and we are all very successful women
Even
on some level, he's
No.
There was no check for me, the WNOV stage.
However, there was a check on the main stage.
And that's where I was no reason why there was a
now I heard And I'm glad to hear that she's doing fine, but I heard that miss Sharon Passed out at Garfield days and it was hot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And who stole
That's the name of the play.
You know what?
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go
that.
I
to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see that.
I want to go see
I want to go see that.
I
go see

I want to go see that.
I am.
So, if you're listening, uh, I'm on
this, man.
Uh, you can talk to my agent.
Hey, this guy, this guy,
this guy.
Listen, I am asking, right?
Let's try to get some work.
Uh, uh, Mr. Tyler Perry.
Mr. Tyler.
Mr. Tyler Woodson,
man.
Mr. Tyler
Shameless plug.
I did low key and I'm real cautious.
We're talking about it until it dropped.
know.
But I got to say this, though.
Your boy did make a television appearance on the show that's coming out that's going to hit the market.
It's called Walkie and it's our version of the shot in a year.
So that's going to be dope.
Okay, I can't tell you when and where but y'all gonna turn the TV on and be like is that and it will be
Okay, I'm on my way.
Well, give my autograph
now Listen here.
It's hard being a
It's hard out here for a pimp man.
I mean especially when you walk with a lip
So
All the way live, my
So you know what's a funny movie out man.
What's that?
Why did I get married again?
Oh
need to watch that movie man.
It is hilarious.
experience.
other people experience.
He don't
That's one of the things
He
with hearing and seeing everything that you create.
That's just like me with production.
Like I got a plethora of music.
What?
Plethora.
I've got these rubber bands in my mouth.
Spell it.
P.L.
Athera.
P.L.
Athera.
That's what it is.
But having other producers and other sounds, it kind of helps you when you're building some new, you know, you're not just hearing.
When you hear it, you'll hear it with somebody
else.
Oh, that's dope.
I can use that.
I can take that.
Yeah, that is true.
like,
I
shout out DJ.
like that
No, but that's true because he's he's always been like that and I've been knowing him for years like his name was younger So he's always been consistent with that and I've
I'll tell you what,
I'm going to stand on it.
I'll tell you why.
Because that's a thin line.
That's like a Johnny Cash thing.
Between love and hate.
Amen.
It's a thin line between love and hate.
Johnny Cash said he walked the line.
Is is what I just said factually incorrect It's well again, you have to be careful because the with words With words, you know, you can play the word game now.
He didn't Speak about it by itself But it's covered under the umbrella of sin.
What did I say?
You you said he didn't talk about he didn't speak about Gays, but he spoke about sin
I don't want to go down that rabbit hole.
All I'm saying is that there were things that Jesus specifically and explicitly talked about Right and there was things that Jesus did not talk about.
Hey, here's a little fun fact Can you have fun facts about Jesus?
Here's a little fun fact about Jesus, you know, Jesus never baptized
So I didn't now that is true.
yeah, Jesus walked on top.
He didn't go underneath.
Yeah, well, he was baptized Jesus was John the Baptist
Or did he drop him in some water?
I know
Yeah.
Well, you got a caller, but you also got a break, so it's up to you.
Okay, let me
Parr.
Hey, good morning, Keith.
How are you this morning?
Good.
I have a simple question I think is how to know you in my own land over the last couple of weeks.
And it's about football.
How is hitting the end zone pylon on the field side a touchdown when the pylon is in the out of bounds line of field?
Well, I
No, but I mean, but it's also part of the end zone.
It's also part of the end zone.
Well, but it's out of bounds.
Well, when you look at the
problem, it's out of bounds.
I don't quite understand that reason.
because it's out of bounds.
But how could it be a touchdown?
It says here, I pulled it up, said pylon sits completely out of bounds at the intersection of the sideline, sideline and the goal line extended.
Why the pylon is out of bounds position definition.
How touching the touchdown really if a bomb if a ball in a player's possession touches the pylon, why the players airborne and legally inbounds
it
confusing.
It's confusing.
And anyway, if it's a room, I'm going to accept that notion.
And I don't know what has happened over the time.
Most people have watched football games.
The second question I raised, I guess, is having watched a little of the Packard game yesterday.
It's about the roughing the quarterback rule.
Now,
yesterday there were a number of times that the Packard quarterback got pushed down after he reduced the throw to the receiver.
Yeah.
And there was no call.
Yeah.
How every one of the major penalties that Packers got was roughing the passer.
Hold it.
Which gave the Vikings the ball back in a 50, a 10 or a 50 year penalty.
Yeah, yep.
Now, if you
And you can clearly make sure that all his weight did not, yeah, he was bracing himself where he basically, but I think a lot of that came from when Kyla Murray
got knocked out the game.
And now, but you're right, it didn't seem like that Jordan Love was getting the benefit of the doubt.
And you know, here's the thing, Jordan Love, you are not Aaron Rodgers.
Stop
the one off your back foot.
Yeah,
it.
that some questionable rules info and football particularly pro football and I'm forcing it almost seems like a lot of my interpreted Based on who the teams are who's what team is playing with team?
Because if you there's enough football on TV and enough replays made
Then you see a lot of examples you see a lot of differences in the way calls are made by different officiating crews
no one really touched
It gives you an example of technology not always being absolutely reliable.
Because, supposedly, the technology showed that the defensive man touched him.
show that,
down.
Once he goes down though, after being touched, he can't get up and running more in pro football.
Right, but remember he ran
I'm only left to remember when you got knocked down even by a defensive player, you could get up and run if you weren't held.
As a matter of fact, you had leather face masks before you had plastic.
I'm sorry, go ahead.
Let me share something that's controversial at the Packers.
My grandson and I often talk about my belief
That the packer quarterback is not as good as you give him credit to be and then he folds When the pressure gets real intense.
to the point where he becomes an accurate on his passes.
Yep, and he can't seem to pick up receivers Very well if he's in a hurry Now some of the packer quarterbacks in that file was one of them.
He could find a receiver even a hurry
And even the person I don't like who's the current guy doing a lot of talking from his back.
He's playing he plays the one good proteins used to be a packer long-term packer quarterback He was good at finding receivers that you
and Rodgers.
Yeah He was good at receiving finding receivers under stress.
I don't see The current quarterback being that good at that
He's
not he did a comparison yesterday between I guess when far and Rogers both was one MVP's their fourth season That's not gonna happen with this dude, and you're right.
I mean statistically you look at him you go, oh man, dude had a good game He only threw one interception, but it's when he throws the interception that matters Yeah, you know, I mean it was like dude you you just and some of this is just mechanics
I
certainly had a strong arm.
And his height is a little bit better than I think in Rodgers, isn't
So that means he has his height.
And
gives him a little bit better views than you.
It's about the same
Well, it gives him a pretty good view of his field.
And yet, they don't seem to be able to take advantage of that.
The last point I would make is that a large part of the package problems, really, I would approach.
The coach is very predictable at calling plays.
And there's very little deception in some of the plays they call, and the other teams seem to know that.
Yeah, and then, even when it takes three points off the board, and then you're not going to be able to get that first down.
You could get something to cut with a dance a break cut on the airbag a couple of

They are the order because you got all these white people getting on these talk shows talking about and yeah You know everybody was ready to do this, but it was one person so they asked you know Who was it wasn't and all of them says it was one black guy
are we
case
so
but uh, I hadn't I knew I you know when it when the verdict came out what lack of verdict came out and it was considered a hung jury in this trial It wasn't until me and Rhonda was in the car and we were listening to Karen Hunter
And that's when, because I guess Gail King had interviewed one of the jurors.
Yeah, yeah.
And Gail kind of set it up for what I'm hearing.
This dude is catching it, man.
All because these people were holding the lady accountable.
It's because of him.
the
it.
he's catching it.
How are you?
I'm doing well.
You doing okay?

One night, everybody think that's a new song.
Oh, yeah.
Right.
That song is old.
It
wasn't in rotation.
Was it in
Yeah.
But I'm just, you know, like, I'll be going like, and let me shout, I think what's happening is don't let's see the zebra.
uh when I was talking about I used this line lover's eyes are blessed there's only seen the the best from the I am album I can't let go and they knew what I was talking about yeah yeah but you always you know you know what I'm talking about right that that that that that one dude yeah that you know you the only one listen to the whole album first of all

just like oh I stopped at the cut too so that's just like me
naming all of the Bugs players at the end of the bench.
Right.
It is like, you don't, like you don't know Paul McKeskey.
You don't know Dan Gazza or the five
dudes where they won the championship and they was in the blowout game.
We didn't know those dudes weren't, they was on the team.
I think Vanessa's was part of that five, wasn't he?
We didn't know those dudes was on the team.
No
question.
I got
a question though.
Whatever happened to Dan Gazza reach?
Who?
See?
Whatever happens to this dude, man.
Who?
Dan Gasarese.
Who?
And Clark, you know my
a reason
game still matters.

I just want to get this off of my chest and then I'm going to hang back.
How long does COVID been over?
It's still ain't

It
ain't over.
It ain't over.
I mean, we're out and about and stuff now, right?
We can go in buildings.
I don't think they make us do that.
You know where you got to stand six feet behind somebody and you don't wear a mask anymore, correct?
Right.
And we can go to the DMV, right?
Right.
I'm tired of seeing these cars without no license plates.
If you can buy a car, get your license plates.
But,
George, though, you got a way for it to come, too, man.
So some people might be in the process of waiting, like I am.
Like, I don't have plates on my car, but I'm waiting for them to send it in the mail.
what
You say, George, you didn't think of that.
What you think of that?
Appreciate you.
don't see them waiting on the plates.
program.
Why do you not have custom plates?
I
welcome
to the program.
Call and welcome to the program.
Good morning.
Good morning.
I was at the real deal
yesterday, boy.
I'll tell you, boy.
I was at the real deal.
Hey, keep playing there, Arizona.
You're going to hear Donald's home real quick.
I'm surprised.
This dude here, man.
This dude on the ball in the rub in the butter.
You know what?
call.
what he called.
Right.
Hey, listen, listen, soon as soon as the game was over, we said, damn, I got it.
It was the morning.
Hey, but it's just funny.
It's a tough Monday.
On Sundays when Seattle lose, we don't hear from him on Mondays, though.
No, we get about Thursday.
Yeah, Thursday.
About
Did he
always work it?
Right.
He was working with the Packers.
Hey, look, I'm going to work now.
He just made the
point.
See?
There
But they ain't playin' nobody, though.
Yeah, they ain't playin' nobody.
And they should really be ashamed of themselves.
Carolina put up what?
They put
up
50 some points.
Yeah, I mean, they put it this way.
Carolina put up more points than y'all did, and they didn't even
win.
See, I knew that was coming.
That's true.
And they didn't give
up a
lead
like we
gave
up, right?
Yeah, but I knew that was coming.
Minnesota, Minnesota defense, and they offer some liners way better than...
Hey, the best thing happened was when Tom already got knocked out the game because I told our dude was garbage and it was on the cards and he was like, when he was helping and I think on 11th week and they didn't put him in.
you know
Look somebody somebody about to lose a job to Minnesota calmer calmer gonna be the backup He keep it up.
no
Five six five seven.
mean, you know, and no disrespect The last the last short quarterback Has a Super Bowl right
Russell Wilson

Yeah, but that's he did the studio
He's back in studio.
Not the cocaine cowboy.
No, no, no.
When he got caught

That's like getting fired and coming to work.
Yeah, they said
was scared
Yeah, well, how about
sealed
why would you sell it if you really
you know why you know that's what that's what money do that's what money do.
No but what I'm saying is you have already put it out there that he is abusive you already put that out.
Well he's
and the question becomes but they changed it though so he pleaded to to what they changed to Mr. Meaders.
That's significant.
Yeah but he pleaded no contents to that Mr. Meaders but not the DV.
But he's in a
diversion with that because what he'll do is they will vacate it if he stays out of trouble for a year.
The question you have right now with the NFL is because they have this whole after Ray Rice, this whole zero tolerance when it comes to DV, they need the video.
I think he's gonna be able to go in and say, well, what proof do you have of how bad it was if you don't have a copy of the video?
Yeah, I think you know you now he's getting paid now He's getting paid now.
So, you know, it's not
a
Oh,
appreciate you.
Man, Arizona trash,
Keith.
Did you?
Man, listen, I'm not even gonna lie, man.
You, when you exposed me to Archies, that was one of the best burgers in shape I've had a long time.
And I couldn't even finish the whole thing, boy.
Archies like I couldn't even finish the whole thing like I had to take it home and give it to my son That's how big and how much it was Man
I took my nephew.
Well, even now with the young people that actually they're doing a good job because the
You smell like it on Saturdays.
I take my mom breakfast and and so, you know, she has the hash browns with onions.
And man, me and Rhonda was in the car.
We were on our way to a funeral.
We smelling like onions.
Yeah, hash browns.
Hash browns.
I got to hurry up and get this out the car,
man.
Cousins of onions.
Woo!
I don't know what kind of onions cousins got for
I
Yeah, I used to
them.
Oh, man.
See, but I used to eat the onions when my sinuses would get clogged up real bad.
And if you take an onion and chew on it, it'll open up your sinus processes.
I
than a
Valdalia?
Yeah, I think one of them is sweeter
Valdalia, it's sweeter.
It's way in the sweet, and yeah, that

What we got in the chat, other than good morning, so you can see where we are in the chat.
this morning.
Let's see.
Happy Monday.
Everyone knows I'm late, but just got in from take off.
So it's a great Monday.
Hey, Barbara Smith.
Let's see.
George said he saw George, Michael and
Madonna
in here.
Not your son.
called Michelle's brother.
he
about?
He ain't never talking about
talked about a giant turkey listen here man them turkey tips
Whoo
Jack
somebody said hold on.
Let me let me go back
Those turkey tips down at Garfield days was amazing like amazing You know, and I'm still stuck on that tomato cobbler that I had
A few weeks ago like I've never tasted anything like that in my life
Hi, hi to the brothers in the studio too.
I can't wait to know how you feel again.
Hey, hey, how you doing?
They deer out down her ranch from doing those type of activities.
That's just one of the many things that I appreciate about her.
With that being said, though, yesterday, one of the things that we read in church was, was, was fading.
Yeah.
I can't remember what the song was.
I thought that was one.
But I should have remembered it when he was pleasing God about his praise and him and what he did for him.
Yeah, he helped me with that one.
I should have remembered it, but I didn't.
But I got to go back and remember what Pastor preached about.
You know, rest in the Lord, all my soul.
Help me down
And all that's within me?
Yes, that's what we need.
Is that the Psalms?
Annette, why don't you do this for me, dear?
I need to take a break.
Can you hold on?
Yes.
OK.
You're listening to Community Voice.
We're going to take a quick break.
We'll be right back.
I don't know if they created a child, but it was an extra marital relationship.
So, you know, he went to the Deacons.
He said, the Deacons, man, they immediately embrace me, say, pastor, that's okay.
He would have been
Now isn't that something that a double stand the difference between being a legal observer and being in the way being someone that folks can come up and say hand me your cell phone, you know And what do you do if an officer tells you stop filming or you know to step back?
Keep filming Absolutely
you're on this sidewalk.
You have the right to film now ice just grabbed a phone up in Minneapolis, so You know but as a citizen and
Under our Constitution, you have the right to stand on this sidewalk and film and observe and tell the truth.
The Bible says a woman is supposed to just... I
Show
show me the Bible where it says that
men
should
dress modestly
I Got it.
I have always had it and I got seven sisters and the same and we didn't have to do that and we are all very successful women
on some level, he's
go ahead, dear.
sorry.
And I know I'm not getting on with radio waves right now.
I just want to just say, there is hope.
I'm trying to be, um, I only get up on Monday morning and, and, and, and, and steal a broom and boom.
I just want to be an encouraging person to try to, to say, keep your head up and try to just say, I'm going to get up one more day and I'm going to try and make a difference in this world.
If there's anyone speaking to a young person or speaking to a young sister or a young man and say, Hey, how was school today?
powers, you know, or your brother, because I have children, they're adults now, but there's some mothers out there that need some help too.
So basically that was the nature of my call, you know, and the sadistic thing, the mind and me of that.
So that was the nature of my call to you guys today.
And I appreciate it again with this radio.
station does for this community and I want to always say thank
He didn't like it at all.
He laughed at that
They laughed at that song.
One of the biggest hits, right?
One of the biggest records, yeah.
Yeah, but that goes to show you, just even from the biblical point of view, the spy's not small beginnings.
Like, that was a small song to usher.
Usher was like, like, man, this song is...
Nowhere near any of my other songs that we got on the market and they laughed and ridiculed that song
because they
Yeah.
You know, it is the restaurant business is tough.
