First up on the second hour of the Civic Media Spotlight,  Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez joins the Maggie Daun Show to discuss the announcement of her 2026 gubernatorial run. Drawing on her healthcare background and bipartisan credentials, Rodriguez outlines a platform focused on expanding healthcare access, addressing housing shortages, and supporting small businesses.

Valley Focus with Lisa Hale is next. Civic Media Northeastern Wisconsin Bureau Chief Lisa Hale sits down with Karen Schneider to talk about the revised Children's Day Parade from the Kiwanis in Oshkosh this weekend.

After that, Pat from Mornings with Pat Kreitlow talks about Medicare and Medicaid turning 60 years old this week. Pat believes that should have been a cause for celebration, for the untold number of lives made better through healthcare security for the retired, the disabled, and other at-risk populations. Instead, that level of security is threatened like never before—and not to save taxpayers any money, simply to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest among us.

And last but not least, John and Gordy got the pleasure of meeting with Patrick McBride, previous ball boy for the Milwaukee Brewers and author of "The Luckiest Boy in the World". Considering this was the day that John and Gordy were going to a Cubs vs. Brewers game, they mentioned how big of a rivalry those two teams have. Patrick also talks on getting to know Bob Uecker as well as preparing for another book!
