We talked about so much today because I was talking so fast today.

And then they say, and then they regurgitate everything the white people say, you know,

And they just make up all these stories.
One lady said to me in the email the other day that I fraudulently signed her name on
the NDA.
Because when you start working for Urban True Eyes, we gotta sign the NDA because we know
y'all ain't right.
I know I hire people that ain't right.
You know, I be trying to do development and stuff and it just don't be working.
These people be off the chain, Luke.
So I'm gonna change my a couple of program designs and hiring things now because y'all
driving me nuts.
I tried y'all.
I tried to give to y'all.
I tried to bring y'all along, but it ain't no more I'm doing.
Okay.

Anyway, I digress.
So we were talking about the Matrix Pride break and Stephanie Stewart, the owner of the
Matrix who sued Hollywood and got paid for anything you wanted to follow up on.
I think you were saying something at the end.
Well, I was just saying that other shows have come out where they're using sort of like
the sci-fi element to talk about our history.
Yeah.
And one of my favorites is Lovecraft Country.
Oh, yeah.
And it was real spooky.
So I never watched it.
And then they might people have started having real problems with that show.
Yeah.
And some of the history in that show.
So if you, where can you stream that act?
Can you see the old?
HBO, Hulu.
Okay.
Yeah.
The second season was supposed to be about giving land back.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
They, the white people want to let you have children.
I was like, oh, no, this is, we're not doing this woke stuff anymore.
Black people will not, will not know their history.
We will not connect these, you know, trees, biological trees, y'all are not connected.
Yes, you're a dominant gene, but you're not the, yeah, it was about giving land back.
And black people had their own part of the country.
That is something, that, that's something that reminds me of the movie sinners.

I love the movie sinners.

I'm not a big guy in the horror and suspense.
It's vampires.
It's like baby vampire stuff.

But they were doing some crazy stuff on their show.
I love the previews made it seem like it was more than that.

I've heard good things though.

I just have to watch it in like broad daylight.

It reminds me, but I think my favorite part is when that one black brother in the movie chooses
the white.
She was black, but she was ambiguous black and had more proximity to whiteness and she
didn't want who sold them out.
Mm-hmm.
I said, it's always the dude with the white chick.
Like that.
No, I didn't watch it.
You just spoiled it.
No, you ate so much more to it.
It's so deep.

But it was so good, y'all.

And also, I thought what was phenomenal about it is how they had to invite them in for
them to come in.
Right?
And how we often have to invite negative energy into our world, even demonic spirits, if you
don't believe it, that's cool.
But we actually have to invite it in and give it permission to exist.
Mm-hmm.
I thought that was really good.
And I also love the fact that one of the main characters, love person, was a black,
bigger woman, dark, and I thought that was symbolic and radical, especially for a Hollywood
movie.
And a hudu practitioner.
And a hudu practitioner.
She was everything.
Like the oracle.
Like she understood vampires, understood the spirits.
It's just a really good movie.
And it signifies or symbolizes, too, our history with music and dance and how our, even
though the music can be based in love and empowerment and inspiration, the opposite end
of that is demonic and how even when you're opening to joy and family and love, because
that's really what's represented with the alcohol and drug use, that's when you bring
in the demonic spirits.
That's how I interpret it.
Like I'm at all.
You welcome it all.
And I often think about a sermon I heard about pastor, pastor Mike Jr. out of Alabama and
he was talking about how, when you're evolving, you can't just be going into these clubs.
When people be like, I'm outside, I'm outside, you always outside, but what are you inside
doing?
Right?
Because you always outside.
So are you inside praying?
Are you cleaning your space?
Are you doing the things that keep your spirit healthy and whole?
Because when you outside in the clubs, drinking and smoking, that's when all the demons,
I feel like that's when I've come through my ears or my times and my seasons when I was
in the club all the time, you know, I did experience the most drama and chaos, right?
And when I dated someone who was a big alcoholic, like that's when all the spirits was welcomed
in.
And I thought it was funny gains until it wasn't, you know, so the movies really be good,
good.
So that's the centers y'all.

So I don't know if our season usually lasts all through October, but it is strange, just
a strange weather.
