The following is a special sports presentation.

WIAA High School Sports is brought to you by Heckman Auction.

and by Longer United Booster Club.

Now all the excitement of WIAA High School Sports.

Welcome everybody.

Jeff Hacon and along with Steve Jettlin combining forces here for this loggers versus Shawamagan game here tonight.

This game just underway here and it was the loggers kicking off Kenny Drexler a little pooch kick in

Speed, it bumped off of the leg of one of the shawamagin defenders and loggers jumped on it, opening play, going the loggers way, not what shawamagin wanted to see.

No, it bounced off DJ's leg, it went forward back towards the loggers and I'm not kidding, I said it before we went live that the Eagles are 0 for 3 on the onside kick to start a game and now they're 0

for

4.

We got Kaden Borgen in the shotgun here, it's a direct snap to him.

Give it to Kenny Drexler.

All right, getting through contact right away.

We get about three, four yards.

Yeah, Kenny doing a nice job right there.

We're going to see Kate and Morgan in there a little bit.

I talked about that before the game, Steve, and a little left-handed quarterback.

He'll air it out a little bit, but no weight better is the key of this game here tonight.

Weight better a freakish athlete for the Phillips loggers, and he's going to be watching from the sidelines.

All right, he'll be not just watching.

He'll be cheering.

Yeah, I know he's a big leader on that team, and I know a lot of them look up to him.

So it's always good to see them on there.

Doing the best they can.

I know carrying the injury.

All right.

Three wide receivers, two left, one right.

Shotgun.

Borgun.

Handoff.

And 12 up at the back line.

Yeah, Kenny Drexler.

You've got Ted right away.

And I believe, do you know what that was?

Was that number 64?

I'm not sure who that was, but that was very possibly Dawson Schmidt.

It was Dawson Schmidt.

Big time on the line, senior.

Yeah, making a play.

Hey.

the loggers got a few on that first one and now they're back it's going to be a third down and 11 coming up here from we caught hey up in Phillips we call this the 51 yard line the 51 yard line yeah they're

on the e they're on the eagles 49 all right tight formation now looks like the tight ends on the right side looks like no rock in the backfield now too

yes

hike

and a counter play oh he's gone

He's going.

30 angle, 25 and in it.

Kenny Drexler touched out all the way from the 49 yard line, a 49 yard touchdown.

Kenny Drexler, he told me he was getting four of them tonight, Steve.

Well, there's

one.

I'll tell you that.

On the counter, he basically just followed his blockers initially and then turned the corner and there was no one.

It was just a straight foot race.

Number 89, that would be Gordon Kretz.

or sorry 86 out there was one trying to chase him down couldn't get to

him.

DJ Jamo.

And a nice run there by Kenny.

Two point conversion coming up here for the loggers.

Morgan in the shotgun.

Looking, corner, cut, touchdown.

And who was that Matthew Novak over there?

Matthew Novak catches the.

The two-point conversion from Caden Borgen, and that was sophomore to sophomore.

It's eight to nothing, Steve.

We're going to send it back for a one-minute timeout to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media

app.

Hey, welcome back everybody.

Jeff Haken here along with Steve Jettlin and we are in Shawam again.

It is the Screaming Eagles taking on the Phillips loggers here tonight and 8-0 lead here Steve for the Phillips loggers and what just happened on that kick off there?

What happened was I'm still waiting to see what the penalty call is.

It will be Eagles ball.

It was a pooch kick over the top.

I'm wondering if one of the loggers

just left the line early, technically a false start or something.

And it may have been declined even.

I don't

know if they do that a lot on the kickoff.

Yeah, either way, the Eagles will be starting on their own 47 yard line first in 10.

And it looks like they're going to open up straight, straight four wide receiver set three on the right, one on the left, Ethan Audison in shotgun.

There you

go.

And it's like the loggers are going to

match three rushers here.

Yeah, you're going to have Pishka McCoy-Dalasky, Will Pishka.

All right, here's

the little cousin

out there.

He's a quarterback.

I'm excited

Ethan's keeping going right has to get through contact can't do it and it looks like there's a penalty immediately I'm looking at most likely holding

likely holding that's the only thing I can really figure and Took the ball himself then the loggers broke through the line of scrimmage there and we're able to get some penetration

with it so

holding

penalty and Will be ten yards from the spot of a foul not to mention that they just got sacked on that play

It's not a big fan of Ethan being the straight ball

carrier unless it's straight up the gut.

And you know, Steve, I was watching him in those warm-ups in that little pass he has over the top.

He's six foot five and can make a nice pass over the defensive line.

We're going to see if we see a little bit of that there from Ethan Ottison.

All right.

The sophomore, you said, right?

Yup, Ethan Ottison, quarterback for the Eagles, sophomore, motion, and off.

It is a fumble and it's going to be falling on by looks like the loggers as the Eagles did a double fake reverse and the handoff between Mark Oskivarek and I believe that was the whole crowd just did

not happen.

Who fell on top of that?

Will Pischka.

Just I think he's a sophomore junior.

Will Pischka has been doing.

He's all over the place on defense finally getting a chance this year to show his worth here and on the defensive side.

He's been an animal.

fell on top of that one, Steve, right there.

It's going to be Lager's ball again.

10-0-5 to go here in this first quarter.

It's 8-0 Lager's.

Lager's got Kate and Morgan in the backfield, in the shotgun.

Drexler to his right.

All right.

Hike, fake handoff, quarterback keep going right.

He's going to be swallowed up immediately, but not after fighting forward for a few yards

there.

Oh, he got stripped.

And

now the

Eagles got it right back.

I'm pretty sure he got stripped.

It's going to be Eagles ball.

All right, I don't think they blew the whistle.

The only thing is if they blew a whistle, we did not hear.

I don't think they did though.

Yeah, it should be Schwamegan ball coming out of this.

I think Borgen got stripped, but they're not acting like

it.

Well, the refs are conferring right now.

That would be huge for the Eagles.

It would.

It really looked like a strip ball here, a fumble, and we're going to find out what they call.

They're going to say he got.

So there we go.

Eagles big time defensive play.

They were looking down the barrel of a 16 to nothing lead

with until that happened.

Oh my goodness.

Absolutely.

So Schwammigan getting one back there.

951 to go here.

First quarter and Steve turnover after turnover in this game to start things out.

It's eight to nothing loggers.

But Schwammigan, they're going to start out with it at their own 27 yard line.

Yes, but no longer have to deal with a first in 20 from the holding.

Absolutely.

A regular first in 10.

Still got the five linemen, two tight ends, one on each side.

Looks like Cole Krauss on the left.

Mark Oskar-Varick on the right.

We need to see Mark this game if we have a chance.

Here we go.

From the shot, it looked like they're going to pass.

This is what I wanted to

see.

It's caught.

He springs it in.

Nice

one.

15-yard pass completion to Nate Nichols on the offside.

All

the way up, Steve, to about the 43-yard line.

Steve, that's what I was seeing with my eye test here in warm-ups was the way that Audison threw a nice football.

in that six foot five frame.

He's able to see over everything.

A nice throw, a nice catch.

I've loved the connection between Audison and Nate Nichols.

They should be doing more of that.

That's the first time I've seen that play run this season.

I would ask for more of that, please.

I like it too.

I test says

that's a good one.

Here's Audison from the shotgun motion and off up the butt and kind of runs into his own guy.

Then he just tackled for a loss loss of about two yards on that play and

it was

penalty.

Yeah, and it was Kenny Drexler, the quarterback here in the middle of that.

Kenny's always been a defensive specialist.

Over the years, you know, playing behind JJ Hakinan and playing behind Sawyer Kuchiba, guys like that, Kenny was able to thrive on the defensive side.

That's a cornerback as a safety.

And this year's his first chance as a senior, you know, being the main ball handler and doing a nice job on both sides.

I'm seeing the defense back up.

Is this a defensive penalty?

Maybe not.

waiting to see what the ref confers with.

We didn't talk to the Eagles, so I'm assuming they're either accepting it or declining it.

So a legal block on the loggers?

No.

It's going to go.

What was that play?

Our defense holding?

That's a block on the, a legal block in the back.

Oh, hands of the face.

Okay, illegal hands of the face.

There we go.

Well, hey, you kind of needed a break.

That was not a good play there, but

Loggers got you first down.

Yeah, that's that's that's what about 20 some yards on that last play basically with the penalty 924 to go.

It's eight to nothing.

Loggers leading by Schwamagen driving Steve.

All right, five linemen, two tight ends, one on each side, mark in motion and off.

And another fumble as they do that one and that walkers are back on

top of it.

And Derek Piska this time, last time, Will Piska this time, Derek Piska.

And Steve, if I had one thing to say about this, it's too many times touching the ball and handling the ball.

The reverses and the counters and going both ways and they're fumbling it on the second time.

This is the first game you've watched this play, but I'll tell you right now, I think it was like last week, the week before, I would say if I had the playbook, I would pull all of those out and burn them.

I hate double reverse stuff.

Too many.

Too many chances for mistakes, and we've already

seen two of

them.

All right, put yourself in a bad situation and bad things can happen.

All right, loggers take over on Eagles 47 ball hike.

It's going to be a

nice.

Morgan the Drexler on this left side.

And yeah, carrying up the field.

What, six yards, ten yards?

Yeah, I think he got up probably right around the 42 yard line, 40 yard line close to the 40 yard

line.

Yep, it was nice to throw to the flat right to the running back.

And as soon as you caught it, took it up field.

Not afraid of contact.

It's five yards, second and

five.

9.15 to go here, first quarter, eight to nothing.

Loggers leading, Shuamagan screaming Eagles here.

Shuamagan, they made a couple nice plays, a couple nice drives in, but third turnover of the game already?

Yeah, third

turnover of the game.

Well, I mean, unless you want to count the on-site kit.

Sure.

All right, here's Drexler and Borgen in the backfield.

Three receivers, two left, one right.

Ball hiked.

Fake handoff quarterback keep falls his blocker able to power through not a first down, but it

sure is close It looks like it's going to be third and one.

Yeah, Kate and Borden keep in it on that and we haven't seen him touch the ball a lot with Wade Vetter Early on in the season, but now he's getting a little more Little more play calls his way.

No, it's good.

Third and one balls now placed at the Eagles 38 yard line

Steve what a great football atmosphere we have for these kids here tonight full crowd bleachers are packed here shawarma again

putting on a nice show here for the community.

That's why another reason I love this game is because all the family is easy to travel between our two towns.

It sure is.

All right, here's Novak.

He's going to keep this one himself.

Shifty receiver, not a lot of size.

But enough for

the first down.

That is a great football play there where you're not trying to beat the world.

You just follow your big men in front of you.

They pave the way.

You get the first down and you get another first

and 10.

And that's Steve Precourt offense right there.

We see it over the years.

Steve.

Conservative on his place, not the big risk guy.

He's going to pop one soon though as soon as Schwann again lets their guard down.

There's going to be a pass down the field.

Oh, yeah.

820 to go here.

Laugher's leading 8-0.

And they're

driving.

All right.

Ball now on the 34.

Shotgun.

Two receivers right this time.

One left.

All right.

Motion right.

Ball hiked.

Hand off.

And it's going

to be Hoagland on this right side.

The arms won.

Usually it's Hogan and catching the ball deep down the field here.

He caught it was at a reverse

Yeah, I mean it was just a hand it was a handoff out of the motion He stiff arms his first defender who had a chance for a tackle for loss cuts it up the field and get the first down It's like a

12 13 yard rush.

There you go eight minutes to go here now logger's driving there already down to the 22 yard line almost red zone here Eight minutes to go and kick in here logger's looking to get their second core score of the first half or the first quarter

It's Borgen in the shotgun by himself.

He's got Drexler to his right.

Motion right.

Fall hiked.

Hand off up the gut.

Drexler picks up a few couples.

Not a lot.

Not

about a yard yard and a half.

Yeah, it'll be about second and eight looking like.

Getting close to the 20, about the 21 yard line for the loggers.

Second and we'll call it second eight here right now.

Say obviously the turnover was awesome and explosive for the Eagles defense, but you can't rely on that.

They got to get a foreign out here.

Yeah Yeah, they really do need that it is a lot if Schwab again goes down 16 to nothing early on here It's gonna be a tough hill to climb back.

Yes.

All right tight formation Everyone's

inside ball hiked over the head, but he catches it now.

He's got to run it himself kind of a broken play if you tackle for a

loss Eagles needed that they really did

That pushes the loggers back, probably knocked them back a few yards here.

I think it's going to be like a third down and 12 coming up.

Yeah, Matthew Novak of the snap just went right above his head, but he did a nice job of kind of chasing that ball back into his hands and able to.

I mean, that could have gone way

bad.

It could have.

He didn't try to do too much.

Steve, what you like to see?

He kind of just took what he got and you know, so it's tightened up the ball and third and 13.

Obviously difficult, but like I said, that could have been a lot worse.

635 to go here.

First quarter, it's eight to nothing.

Laugher is leading Shawamagan.

Laugher is driving.

Here's

Morgan.

All right.

Ball hike.

Look at the pass.

Looks right.

Wide open receiver.

Can he deliver it?

He does.

He drops it in the bucket for a first down.

A beautiful play.

Can he direct?

We're making the catch, Borgen, the Drexler, and that was the quarterback I talked about.

The young lefty, he's got a nice little arm, makes a nice pass, is completed right there, and picks up the first down.

All

right, Aiden Bushman is now coming off the field.

Did he make a

tackle?

It was a nice tackle on that reception.

from Swamigan.

Yep, he's, I'm just kneeling right now.

Honestly, my guess is probably got the wind knocked out of him.

That's what it looks like.

So he's been an attendant too.

We'll see what happens here as we go forward.

All right,

Morgan, I'm getting a lot of time at the quarterback.

Ball hiked and off left and totally swallowed

out.

Yep, right away there.

That was number 91, Dawson Minema.

Minema.

Minema Dawson.

Right on that one Dawson, a big kid, 5'11", 250.

Oh yeah.

Dawson, it's tough to run by him in the middle, and I know a lot of teams try to basically do their best to run around him, and he's a pretty stalwart right in the center of the line there.

He is.

That's a tough kid to move.

5-11, 250.

And here we go, up to the line of scrimmage.

That's Will Knack leading him up there.

All

right, here's

Novak, here's gonna be that counter play and caught gobbled up.

It's him again.

He's awesome.

Absolutely.

I was watching him that play.

He just absolutely

torched what would have been his blocker.

And Drexler, nothing he could do.

Kenny got it and he was swallowed up for a couple yard loss right there.

And it's gonna bring up a third and 15-ish.

Are you feeling that deja vu?

Because I feel

like they had a third and 13, third and 14, not just a minute ago.

And honestly, I'm sitting here.

I'm like, what's stopping?

Borgen from doing the exact

same play they just

did.

I

feel it coming, Namosti.

I

feel it coming.

Let's see if Shwamagen, the players, are going to be aware of this one.

5-0-5 to go here in this first quarter.

Klock's kicking.

Shwamagen, or in loggers, up to the line of scrimmage.

All right, tight formation here.

Still in shotgun, still running back back there.

Receiver on either side.

Ball hiked.

Looks like it's going to be a sweep to the right.

No box.

Puss it inside.

That's a holding penalty.

Novak might have get into the end zone.

He did, but it's coming back.

It's going to be coming back unless

it's a freak penalty on the

defense.

And we'll see here the referee going to call it here right now.

Says against the loggers.

He pointed this way.

Home crowd is silent.

They're waiting and there it is.

There it is.

So touchdown is going to be coming back Matthew Novak.

It would have been his first touchdown of the season.

And a hold is going to bring it back in.

You know, Steve, sometimes you see that on a long touchdown.

I know.

Well, if I see you, then you go, man, he got a touchdown.

I was like, well, the hole was probably there because of holding.

But I'm not.

I watched Matthew Novak when he did cut because he's running, he's running horizontal.

When he cut vertical, he got so many yards really

quickly.

He really

did.

No, Novak's really shifty, really quick.

All right.

Third and what 25 now at the about the 30

up a 29 yard line.

Looks like a logger play here.

They might air this one out shotgun.

Let's see.

Morgan hold in.

Yep a little return to the back

over and complete pass.

In complete pass he would add one guy to beat over there to go down the sidelines a little bit and that one didn't work fourth down here.

That was intended receiver Mark Hoeglund.

Hoeglund.

Hoeglund.

Yep.

All right.

Just over this outstretched arms of Hoeglund.

All right.

Well this is just one of those times where it's fourth and 25 there's really not a really there's really not a play in the playbook so you just air it out and see what happens.

Yeah.

All right.

Tight formation again.

They got a bunches all on the left side there on the line.

Ball height, quarterback keeps.

Drexler, left side.

Ball blockers, has a

hole, straight

forward, and it's going to be a turnover on down.

A nice play there, nice run from Drexler.

But you know, Swamigand did the right thing.

All they had to do was kind of guard them up, gobble them up, not let them get to the end zone.

They did a nice job, some safety defense there.

Turnover on down, Steve.

Yeah.

437 to go here in this first quarter.

It's eight to nothing loggers.

Swamigand staying alive

here.

Yep.

That was a statement drive for the Eagles and I know you got helped out by a penalty big time there, but you haven't really been able to force foreign outs in almost two weeks.

Yeah, just to be able to get one, get some belief back in your defense.

Now I know the Loggers didn't get a touchdown, but what they did was they drove the ball all the way to the 10 yard line for the Eagles.

They got to drive 90 yards just to equalize this

game.

Yeah.

not going to be easy.

What they really want to do here is not turn this ball over deep in the end zone and picking up a couple of yards, maybe only one.

Yeah, Mark Oskavaric got the ball.

That's some positive yardage.

Anyways, they did another fake reverse.

This one didn't fumble.

Mark Oskavaric has been coming along as a junior here.

All

right.

It's

going to be second down in 10.

We're going to call it.

Looks like a no game on that last place, Steve.

Yep.

413 and ticking here loggers or swam again way back at their ten yard line.

All right trips receivers left one right shotgun for Ethan You got to be looking right here Ethan looking to get this down to feel almost

back

almost it was dangerous right there and that was Fine to see who got onto the quarterback, but that was Derek Piszka getting down there Derek

The Piscas have been all over the place.

There's two Piscas out there.

That

was

Derrick this time.

They both got a fumble recovery.

Yes, they're both playing.

The Piscas boys.

All right.

And that was Derrick.

We call him D during the football season.

See if we call him diesel and during the baseball season, we call him all pole Piscas.

You know your athlete when you got multiple names.

Yeah, there you go.

Up to the line of scrimmage, your third and 10 coming up here.

All right.

Trip receivers left, one right.

Shotgun.

Looks like two man rush for the Eagles right here.

Or sorry for the loggers.

Lookin' left, throws the ball, and it's gonna be off the hands of the receivers in complete fourth and ten.

Yeah, not sure who that one was to.

There's two receivers over there.

It almost looked like they were able to both catch it.

It was overthrown over both of them, so I guess in my mind it didn't really matter who

the intended receiver was.

Fourth and ten coming down, I'm guessing we're gonna see a punt here.

With

four minutes

to go.

The tough thing...

For Ethan is you know, this is his first year quarterback and there's a lot of things you got to learn at that position

Not

only to read defenses to have the timing of your throws just the ability to throw the ball Yeah, but the one thing that he is in the beginning stages is learning progression.

Sure the first person he looks at that's what he's throwing sure All right looks like they're lining up to punt which smart you're at your own ten yard line.

So here we go

ball hiked

goes over the head.

He's got to grab the ball, turns, kicks,

and it's going to be pooch, but hey.

What a play from him.

Goes out at the 30 yard line that was lucky that wasn't a safety,

lucky it wasn't a

touchdown.

Well, it wasn't a lot of pigs.

I'll take the 30 yards.

Absolutely.

It ended

up being a 20 yard net gain

on that right

there.

A nice job.

Who punted that one away?

Steve,

I wasn't even

watching.

I couldn't see

the night.

Perhaps off to him right there.

He might be leading the way here as the Jeff Aitken and Ruffin player of the game after that play right there for Slovakia.

348 to go here.

Another turnover or not a turnover on downs, but longer is going to have the ball here in good field position at the 30 yard line

of Slovakia.

348 to go.

Good job

forcing the punt there.

All right.

Got everyone on the line except for the running back and quarterback and shotgun.

It's

gonna be a direct

snap to Drexler this time.

Keeping right.

Cuts it up and back.

Picks up a couple.

Good run.

Keep the clock moving.

Keep the clock moving and you know there's gonna be a Steve.

This is gonna be a Steve Precours signature offensive series right here Steve.

It's gonna run the clock right down to the bottom here.

He's gonna try to pick up about three yards on every play.

And we'll see if the loggers are able to do it.

Yeah, by being ideal, well for the loggers is you score and the first quarter ends and really put up the

pressure.

Yes.

Okay.

It looks like you got some 50-50

tickets.

Yeah.

You did.

Nate's looking to get wind big here

tonight.

There you go.

Hey, no, we're going to get a half time.

We're going to get Nate's take at half time here coming up too.

Okay.

0-8 to go here.

Ball hiked.

Quarterback keep left.

Thawna's blockers.

Get some steam behind

him.

He's

able to break free.

He gets knocked out of

bounds.

Legs.

play.

Correct.

So that looked like it almost could have been a flag of some kind of a defensive play.

I'm not sure.

I'm not sure what it is.

Just because it was thrown so late there.

We're going to see though.

I mean,

did the ref think it was unnecessary roughness because the player was still in bounds when the tackle hit.

I hope that wasn't the case because that would be a missed call, but.

I'd be with you on that one.

I'm interested to see what the call is here.

I didn't see a hold, but we obviously were looking for Kenny over there.

Kenny Drexler running that ball up the left sideline here, brought it all the way down.

I don't know where around the ten yard line maybe.

He ran into all of the bodies

and he squeaked

out

somehow,

all illegal block in the back by the locker.

So it's going to move it back here after a nice run by Kenny Drexler.

Hey, all that, that penalty I think happened late in the play there.

Most of it was Kenny Drexler, nice run by him.

Yeah, no, he ran.

I thought he was just going to be, I was about to say, and he gets tackled, but then he just squeaked out and got another like 10, 15 yards out of nowhere.

He did.

So that

moves the loggers back.

It's going to be second down and seven.

Okay.

Because that, that holder, that legal block happened so far down the field, it only backed him up seven for how many yards?

All right.

Motion, right?

Looking.

Morgan looking to pass, airs it down the

field.

He's open.

Oh, and

drop.

by the big.

Who was it down there?

It was a little under thrown, but that ball was so catchable.

Is that McCoy-Dulaski?

It was.

Oh, McCoy wants that one back right there.

Oh, yes, he does.

He's the offensive lineman checked in as the tight end, and it was in his hands right there.

He's going to hear about this one.

Oh, my goodness.

And it was a trick play there.

McCoy-Dulaski.

You know, Coach always tries to get them offensive linemen, a big play like that when they can.

Oh, yeah, sometimes you can kind of forget that they're always calling who's eligible and you just kind of forget

yeah 256 to go here first quarter 8-0 loggers lead loggers got the ball third and nine here at their own 29 year at the Schwammigan 29 yard line motion left

the flag full start full start a

lot move the loggers back further It's going to be third and 14 coming up and the loggers are I

honestly the thing that's keeping them from turning this score up as penalties.

Yeah, and

Undisciplined

football can lose you a game.

So we'll see what happens right now.

We got penalties on the logger side and turnovers on the Eagles.

Yeah, and see who can who can clean up their mistakes first?

Yeah, who's going to fight through this right here?

First quarter only and here we go.

Alright, everyone bunched up and they got the receivers on the right side there on the line.

Dress are all alone in the backfield.

Looking like he's keeping it sweeping right.

Found the blockers got

space.

That's five yards.

big hit out of bounds nice pickup for him right there it's going to bring up an easier make a fourth and manageable

Seven, I'm not sure.

There's just something about football and the kids lower in the shoulders.

Oh, I love seeing that.

And that's Kenny Drexler

right there.

He's going to

go down there.

And especially when you don't have that breakaway speed, we talked about right there.

Kenny, he's going to lower his shoulder and he's going to get everything he can out of it.

You can't be afraid of it.

You got to relish it.

Absolutely.

249 to go here.

Logger has got a fourth and three coming up.

All right, now that I was going sweep left this time.

able to fight through all of the body, sniff arms.

I think he was tackled short of the first down.

It's close.

And what a run, but even a better tackle, and that might have been number 64 down there for Shlomigan, Dawson Schmidt.

There we go.

We'll

see where they put him there.

It's going to be a first down for Shlomigan, isn't it?

Turn over on downs again.

Man, that was close.

It was.

Eagles.

Another turnover there.

Hey, we haven't allowed a lot of commercial breaks here today, Steve.

Well, I mean, they're

rolling.

The teams are just right now.

I just feel like I'm watching a boxing match and they're

just going back and forth.

We said we this is going to be a better game than we kind of anticipated having, you know, if you based on similar opponents.

Well, these teams want to win.

Yeah, I mean, this is your rival school, right?

They probably got each other on Snapchat.

They've been talking smack all week.

Here we go.

Swabbing with the ball.

Our right side, they're running and tackle there.

I think a loss on that play.

Try to go on the right side.

It's going to be... Steve, this is going to be the tough part for Shulam.

Again, they have to keep this game close because I have a feeling it's hard to stream together big play after big play.

I'm going to hit my

head up against the wall if they keep doing these fake reverses.

Pick a spot.

We'll end it off and go up a hole.

This is frustrated me a little bit.

I feel like right now the loggers are showing you how quick their edge rushers are.

And if you're just going to be spending too much time trying to hand off the ball, they're going to get

to you.

Here's Dylan Seidenbender over the center here playing most tackle.

Here's the freshman I talked about earlier, Steve.

See if he can make a play.

All right.

Ball missed snap over Ethan.

He's just got to fall on top of it.

Fell on top of it, a loss of about ten yards at least on that one.

Two minutes in kicking here, Schwamegan kicking themselves in the feet here.

and backed up all the way down by like that 10 yard line.

Steve, it can be dangerous down here.

Timeouts are available for coach pre-core here.

Yeah, I know.

It's one of those things where you call a timeout to settle your team, but you're only a minute 30 away from the first quarter break.

Yeah,

and it's a third and 20.

You might see at this spot right here a timeout after this play if there's a no gain on it.

And here we go.

Swam again up to the line of scrimmage.

A minute 28 to go way back at their 10 yard line, third and 20.

Three receivers, two left, one right.

Shotgun.

Rush is going to come from the right side.

Fall, handed off.

He pumps up.

He's throwing it.

There's no one there.

And it looks like there was just a misread on the route.

DJ looking at his quarterback saying, hey, that wasn't the spot.

And I wonder if Ethan

just was like, he's guarded, throwing it away.

So fourth down.

Fourth and 20 coming up from deep here.

Lawyers are going to have a chance here.

And Schwammigen is going to have to kick this one off again at their 10 yard line.

Steve, so important here for Schwammigen to close this first quarter out.

If they can get away here at 8-0 at the end of the first quarter, I'll take that right now.

Absolutely.

With the amount of turnovers that they've had.

Yeah, they're going to have to punt again here.

Minute 15 to go Schwammigen here, they're going to punt.

So Cole Kraus is the punter.

That's the one that made that awesome play on the previous punt.

They're going to punt from their 10 yard line.

Back deep is Kenny Drexler.

There we go.

Much better.

Snap, nice kick and that is just going in over and get a nice bounce.

It's going to be picked up at the... Oh!

Do the eagle

got it?

I think Drexler got it.

Oh Drexler got it, okay.

He kind

of

touched it and the eagle got in there quick, but... That was kicked deep a nice one there from... Wow.

From Kraus all the way back to the 42 yard line of the Lawgors.

Kenny Drexler tried picking it up late.

It kind of had a couple awkward bounces and then he touched it and it hit the ground.

He barely touched the ball, so it was a chance for the Eagles to get that one back, but Drexler good a job getting on top of this.

This is a unique experience.

The graph on the logger side of the field is nice and soft, untouched, unplayed on.

So we finally get to see a play

on the logger's

territory.

We've been leaned out the window looking to the left.

Hey, it's the Holm-Schwamegun screaming Eagles here in their green and gold uniforms, gold helmets, green uniforms, gold lettering, the Phillips logger's black pants, white.

Tops and black helmets, both looking sharp here tonight.

All right, tight formation for the loggers, shotgun, ball hike.

Tucks are going to keep it himself.

He's caught behind, and that's who else?

Dawson, Minima.

Yep, he's getting back there today.

He's starting to have himself again.

Yep, Dawson, we've called his name a few times.

He's been on at least three, four plays, big plays, and clock ticking 50 seconds to go, and it's going to be the loggers backed up to the 40-yard line.

Still again, one big play.

That's the beautiful thing about eight man football, Steve.

You're always one play away from a score.

I don't

know.

I mean, even your, because your scoring drive, it was like third and 12 or whatever it was, and you guys picked it left and was able to rip it up the field.

So it's just creating opportunities

to

get sure.

And

that was on like the first couple plays of the game.

That was the

third play of the game.

And

it's been just back and forth fights since then.

Yep.

Here we go.

20 seconds to go.

Loggers.

Try to get a big play out of this right here.

Could be the last play of the game.

Or of the first quarter, I should say, not the game.

Jax are going to keep it up the middle.

He goes and Tag from behind picks up a couple, maybe three.

Yeah, gets back in sack yardage and a little bit extra.

It's going to be about third and eight and we're at seven seconds with the clock has stopped.

I don't lose there.

Okay, that's over good.

It's four seconds now.

It's

gonna run off to the first quarter.

So first quarter gonna be finished up here right now It's eight to nothing bloggers leading the Schwabigan screaming Eagles and we're gonna send it back to 98 Q country end on the civic media app for one minute time out

Hey, welcome back everybody.

Jeff Hakenan here along with Steve Jettlin joining forces here tonight and we're having a fun game here tonight.

Steve, it's eight to nothing back and forth.

It's gone and I'm just having a blast.

You're doing it, Cynthia.

Yes,

both defenses seem to kind of have rhythm now, both with the pass rush and able to tackle on first contact.

So really question is which offense can start to build

steam and start moving forward?

Novak, a direct snap to him on this left side.

He's almost tackled, stays alive, a little shifty, picked up a couple.

All right, that's only about a one yard gain and now it's fourth down for the loggers here to open up the second quarter.

Steve, I like how you said that to start this out here.

Both teams finding rhythm.

Finding a little bit of confidence as well.

We're seeing a couple players make some plays.

How important is that when you're in football here and you make a big tackle?

That's all you want to do is beat that guy in front of you.

I feel like that's starting to blossom here right now.

I think that's the best part of football.

You make one good tackle.

You just want to keep doing it.

We're seeing Minima do that.

Yeah, we're definitely seeing Minima do that.

He's been in the backfield all night.

Yep.

Big 511, 250 pound junior on this left side of the defense.

Yeah, you don't want him.

I don't want him chasing me.

No, here's Borgen.

Borgen back there.

He's going to go the other way.

All right.

Borgen,

look at

that.

Go in deep.

He's got space.

He's

got Cal Hoon.

Cal Hoon makes the catch.

Trace Cal Hoon.

And I hope he didn't hurt his angle.

He's laying down on the ground here, right?

He got tackled really hard.

Trace Calhoun, he made a big play.

A bomb from Caden Morgan all the way down the field and he's laying down here right now.

And right away I noticed that he wasn't getting up.

So Trace, they're going to come up by him.

Let's see,

Aiden Bushman was on defense.

Oh, he's holding his

knee

here right now.

And they jumped up in the air.

He made the catch and they both fell to the ground and they both just kind of rolled up together.

So complete.

incidental and when they're rolling around like that, you know, you don't know if a knee got bent weird or an ankle, but either way, he's down, he's being attended to, and we'll see.

Steve, there's 1106 here to go, just second quarter, just getting started, eight nothing, loggers leaving.

We're going to send it back to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media app here for a one minute timeout.

All right, sounds good.

Jeff Hakin and along with Steve Jettlin.

Hey, you don't know what Nate's in the background here as well here.

And 11 minutes ago, they just got this clock going, got Trace off the field.

We hope he's okay.

He's going to be attending to his leg injury on the sideline right now.

And it's going to be a first and 10 for the loggers from the Schwannigan 20 yard line after that big pass play.

And it's Drexler in the backfield by himself in the shotgun.

He's going to keep it up the middle.

He goes and he's wrapped up.

and still pushing though picks up a few.

So a nice run there.

Candy Drexler turns nothing into something.

And it's going to be a second down and I'm going to say about six.

Maybe he picked up four close to four, probably closer to three, 10-22 and kicking here.

And Steve, it was nice to see they got trace off of the field and got him going.

He's on the sidelines over there.

They're attending to his leg over there.

10-12 to go here and the loggers back up to the line of scrimmage, second and sixth.

All right.

Got

a receiver way out left here.

Ball hike, quarterback

keep.

It's a Drexler.

Left side.

First down here, Steve, running him out of bounds on that left side, but there's a flag generally.

That's a holding.

Yeah,

generally.

Ten minutes to go here.

He got out of bounds picked up the first down.

We're gonna have to see what this call is and It looks like he pointed the loggers way like they're gonna move them back probably a little block in the back and It's holding and it's gonna move them back ten yards.

So they take the loggers back here Ten yards from the spot.

I believe so I believe it's probably gonna be like a second down and 12 coming up as my guess It is a second 12 from

The

Schwammigan 22 yard line

yep out of the red zone now Eagle's got a capitalize in the fact that that penalty pushed it pretty far back now What can they do here by receiver who out wide outright this time ball hiked and off left and here's McCoy McCoy left

side he got it

that

was McCoy the last key

We've been waiting for that.

Steve, that's that special play for the senior that you give the offensive lineman for all the work he's done in his whole career.

Well, the center had a pole block there.

Yeah.

Basically, he takes a step back, goes left, and the first guy in front of him, he just pancakes.

Once that block happened, then your play can happen.

So you're, excuse me, who's the ball carrier again?

McCoy to last.

McCoy, once he got that one block, all he had to do was turn it up and then he just ran right for the end.

If you could see Steve down there, he's his best of buddies, his little group down there

and you should see how

excited they were for him.

Some

point conversion here and it looks like that's Novak, right side.

You see his feet, but he was wrapped up by Schwammig and Defender.

Who is it?

Yeah, that's Aidan Bushman.

Aidan Bushman again, we call his name a lot.

You see him a lot in baseball, he's human basketball, he's human football.

Alright, 14-0 now for

the

visiting team loggers.

953 to go here and we're going to send it back to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media app for one minute.

Time out.

Joel Karnick

Jeff Hakin and Steve Jelen here in Siwam again at high school playoff

for not playoff.

It's high school football action and intercounty matchup.

Interconference matchup.

It's the Phillips loggers leading.

The Shawamigan screaming needles 14 to nothing.

Kenny Drexler kicking off for the loggers and there was a penalty right off the bat.

I

don't know what it was.

No, it was a re-kick.

There was a small gust of wind that pushed the ball off the tee right before he kicked it.

I'm glad the refs caught it.

Yeah.

So just a re-kick, no penalty, and here we go.

Once the ref gives the whistle, there it is.

Here comes the pooch kick.

And here it goes.

Get the bounce and a nice

job on the

defensive side.

Nate Nichols.

I'm going to pal my hand on the table.

I need to see more cold crowds than Nate Nichols in this offense.

I'm

with you.

Hey Steve, I'm with you.

9.51 to go here.

It's shawamagambal.

I'm with you.

I want to see some pass plays.

We've seen some we've seen some of that work here early in that first quarter and you know that little ten yard pass out in the flats to Nichols.

and we're going to see if we can get back into it.

Well, I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing him out of the backfield where an immediate handoff.

Yeah, the tricky stuff.

I mean, you got to figure Nate Nichols, Jr.

6 3 190.

Yeah, OK, the first person that comes to tackle him is getting run over.

Yeah, and Cole Cross left

side over here.

Yeah, Cole Cross is a good player too.

But I mean, I want to see Nate Nichols in this game start to make an impact.

All right, shotgun for receivers to left to right.

Audison all right

court right side tosses it got his spot But it is thrown too far on the right mark Oscar Veric made the best read he could on it But it was overthrown and could not bring it down in complete.

He just kind of winged that one Over there in the flats there.

Yeah,

it would like to see him come over the top a little bit on that play I bet he'd like to take that have that pass back

Yeah, I mean it was a good play design there because mark goes on the just a simple Out route and the ball supposed to be in the air when he turns the problem with the ball on too far ahead of him.

Yep.

All

right

All right, same formation.

We have four receivers, two left, two right.

Second and ten.

Yep.

Second and ten.

At

their own 46 yard line.

Nate Nichols on the left side in the slot.

That's what I'm watching here.

Comes motion left, Mark.

We're in the left now.

Ball hiked.

Ethan looking for it, throws it.

And it is off the hand, thrown behind at this point.

But I liked it.

It looked like some potential.

Yep, Austin Seifert was covered.

And if I suppose if that ball was thrown perfectly, he had a chance.

But I, yeah,

it was thrown behind that time.

Yep.

A little bit off on that one right there.

It's 3rd and 10 here from the 46 yard line.

944 to go.

Eagles can't get the stars a lot.

I like the play calls now about the execution.

We talked about it.

Hey, we talked about it.

They heard us.

They got that.

Mike right into their headsets down there.

Alright, ball hike.

Ethan's keeping looking for a spot.

Cuts it inside.

He's just going to

follow the ball.

It's going to go right

through the

lockers.

And he's going to get tackled.

McCoy de Lasky picks up.

He was ready for his second touchdown of the game.

That

was man the ball just kind of squeaked out.

I don't know if it got punched out or if it got stripped out, but it

was just on the ground bouncing the wrong way and the loggers recover it and it's going to be right at that 46 yard line again 936 to go here loggers at shawamagans side of the territory here and it's going to be them trying to put another score on the board Steve.

Oh yeah here we go loggers now hit now it's like you went up 14-0 game was not out of reach you know if the Eagles were going to score but now if you can go up three here you can

Basically, put your foot on the

gas

and

see if you can't make this game out of reach quickly.

All right, here we go.

And it's Drexler in the backfield by himself in the shotgun.

All right.

Everyone on the right side here.

It's probably going to be a sweep right.

It is following his blocker, cuts it inside, and he runs into the toss.

You're not getting by Minima.

I was like out of all the decisions to make turn and left into Dawson.

Yeah, probably not the right one.

Nope, it's not right there and running right side just isn't going to be a great idea.

But you know, that's a lot of the loggers offense right there is running that right side.

We've seen way better do it a lot early on in the season.

So they have confidence on that side, but Dawson is going to make him think twice.

Well, I mean,

the loggers have scored on two big plays, essentially, and they were both little sweeps out of the backfield following good blocks.

And so right now it just looks like the loggers are just fishing.

for a run in which their block assignments are excellent.

And he's been able to score twice off those.

So I mean,

I

can see why they're doing it.

I see Delasco, McCoy Delasco in the backfield by himself again.

And it's going to be hand off to him.

Delasco, you can see his speed up the field he goes.

He's wrapped up, but he's not for the first down.

Now he's just got to hold on to the ball.

and he does.

They blew him dead.

McCoy, they're going to get him into the running game.

You see his speed and he's a tough kid to take down.

Yeah, this is about an eight yard game, but that was just enough to get that first down.

Then the chain started moving 841 to go here in this first half.

It's 14 to nothing.

Loggers leading shawam again here and with injuries.

Moving guys around a little bit and it's got put McCoy to last.

He's offensive linemen into the backfield now.

Alright, receiver left now.

Who has everyone else inside?

The left side keeps it.

And tackled by number 31 that time.

Looks like maybe pick up of about six yards, and that was RJ Andreas.

Yep, freshman getting his stamp on this game.

Nice job being able to bring him down.

That could have been a bigger game, but stopped at about five, six yards, so second to

five.

8.15 to go, now clock is ticking.

It's 14 to nothing, loggers, loggers.

Formigans in a tough bind here if the loggers are able to put a score up again here

Yeah, now that the loggers are on the Eagles 30 yard line.

It's just at every big chunk play here can just go to a touchdown All right, we got no locked Drexler's right

He's gonna know we're gonna keep going straight at the field and he's gonna run into a lot of green guess who number 91 Now Reggie white over there on that left side

to get over past him.

Loggers tried

to fake the run to the running back and all five Eagles did not bite on the magic trick.

Yeah, we went

straight for the quarter.

Dawson Minimal, he's got about a 6-7 tackle of the game here so far.

Oh yeah.

And really just every opportunity coming over that way, he's gobbling them up.

All right,

third and

fourth here from

the 29 yard line.

All right, everyone up there now.

Everyone is tight inside.

They got the tight ends on the right side there.

Ball hike follows blockers.

Look at first team kind of has one fighting forward and he's got the first down.

He's got the first down by a yard or two.

Kenny Drexler kept it himself, did a nice job.

Knew where the first down was, followed his blocker and knew that's what he needed.

There you go.

This is just football in its most purest form.

It is.

The seniors out

here just seem to know what to

do, Steve.

The tight ends and the offense alignment are really, it looks like, I mean, we're in the second quarter and they are starting to win the battle more often than they're not.

And you don't want that if you're the defense here because if you're getting tired,

you're just going to get rolled over.

Yeah, seven minutes to go here.

Just under seven minutes to go here.

14 to nothing.

Loggers driving.

And they're down to about 23 yard line.

All right.

First and 10.

I would

not be surprised if I see a pass play here.

First and 10.

Here it comes.

He's looking thrown to the flat.

And it's going to be tackled by number 15, Nichols.

Nate Nichols.

A loss on the play loss of a couple.

Sometimes you can just feel it.

Yeah, when the play call is going to change.

I'm wondering if the defense felt it too, because they were all over that.

There was two

yard loss on that pass.

Yeah, nice job from Nichols over there making the play.

618 to go here.

Feels like this feels like this game's picking up the pace.

Oh, yeah, a little bit.

I like the pace of this game.

And it's going to be the loggers here

second and 12.

I'll see what formation they go in.

They're going to keep everyone inside again.

I'm wondering if they're going to sweep it right.

They got all those guys on the... Essentially a shotgun, but eye formation.

And Seidenbender going to get the

counter

on that left side.

Gets

a C, man.

He's tackled, but picks up about three, four yards.

Oh, like eight.

They sort of three yards

behind.

Oh, they were.

So a nice run.

Dylan Seidenbender.

This is the freshman I talked about before the game, getting a chance here.

He's a strong, shifty kid.

He had a big brother, Kyle, that just graduated last year.

And you see Dylan out there, he looks like he's got some growing to do.

You can see his potential to put up like a freshman out there

and doing a great job.

So now they're at the Eagles 20 yard line.

They're starting red zone.

They can begin to taste it.

And Jaxler.

Shotgun.

Oh, behind the line.

It's got a ball on it.

Oh my gosh.

Who's going to get it?

It looks like the

lockers are going to get it, but they

might

have ripped it away.

Oh, he

goes

off!

Oh, my goodness.

Did Chewamagin need that?

I think Chewamagin ripped it away like last second.

And

I felt like the loggers were on it.

And that's why when they teach you in camp, the boy isn't over till the referee who has the ball.

You get on top of that pile, and you fight for that sucker.

It was.

I felt like Nate Nichols ripped that one away.

I think so, too.

But you know what?

We'll

call that the home crowd gift.

It is right there.

It's

the home field gift there.

You know what Steve?

I'm not gonna lie.

I'm all for that play.

I want to keep this a ball game here right now This makes this more of a football game here.

What happens here?

So I'm gonna find the way to score.

What a momentum booster that would it be?

We were just talking about the what loggers were about to walk away with this game in a few minutes It's possible.

We're talking so I'm gonna get back in this one

Steve.

Oh, yeah Momentum shifts so quickly in football.

That's a part of every sport I mean if I'm the coach I'm so tempted to pull out the biggest run play you have because sometimes you can just take advantage of a big situation

And are the refs, do they have instant replay?

Cause they got a lady with her phone out on the field showing the ref something.

I'm, I'm telling you, if you're an Eagles fan, just feel like I didn't bring my phone to the field ref.

I don't know where it's at.

What are they

doing?

They got to be looking up rules or something.

I'm hoping so.

Cause I would have hate to have someone take a video.

They want, they want instant replay.

They're going to come up, have to come up here by us

because

we got the real deal.

Okay.

Sounds good.

Okay.

So if it's the athletic director, they're a hundred percent looking at rules right now.

So both teams went to their respected sidelines here as the officials are talking with the athletic director.

I'm not sure about what.

Well, we can figure that out later.

So as it's called on the field right now, Eagles recovered fumble.

And so like we said, that is a huge momentum shift.

It's five minutes to 15 seconds before half.

Plenty of time.

You have all three timeouts.

Don't have to worry about that.

Kind of chasing you down.

You can do a nice.

Regular, game-planned offense here.

Limit your mistakes and see if you can't get this back within one score.

Absolutely.

Get this home crowd hyped up to see their goal.

Boy, that's what I said.

A touchdown right now would be the biggest play of the game so far.

I mean,

if the Eagles were able to score before half, yeah, you'd be losing, but like, you have the momentum.

You'd be coming out into the second half, feeling like you're the ones in control, even though they haven't really picked up on the game much.

Absolutely.

Steve, I'm not sure what they're doing.

It looks like they're going to come in and make a call here, the lead official, the white hats coming onto the field here.

All right.

And the Loggers fans are clapping here.

I

saw some

Eagles fans clapping too.

I don't think anyone else is

clapping.

Oh, a weather check.

I wonder if there's a storm.

I'm going to pull my radar now

while

we're

talking.

All right, here.

So that whole time was a weather check.

Here we thought it was rules and.

All right, it was a weather check.

It looks like we're OK for a little bit here.

It's going to be swam and golf ball.

515 to go here.

Back in the shotgun is Audison.

Audison, he's got two receivers to the right, two to the left.

He drops back to pass.

Wings it over to

the sideline.

Whole crowd.

There it is.

And that's what you wanted to see right there, Steve, was that.

Two-man game of Audison and Kraus.

Kraus picks up, let's see, five, six, looks like seven.

Well, that was great.

On the slot, he comes up, and then the one on the left runs the post route, pulls the corner of the safety back.

He curls it.

Nice little catch

and gain for what, six, seven

yards?

Yes, great edge of execution there from Schwammigan, brings up a second and three from the 41-yard line, their own 41-yard line.

Audison from the shotgun again, everything packed tight this time.

Audison.

He's got in motion.

I think that's Bushman, Nate Nichols,

and a flag, and that's

what's going to kick him right in the butt right there, Steve.

They make close to a first down, but a flag, I believe, is going to bring him back.

I'm

seeing nothing

on the radar right now, so.

All right, 435 to go here, and so I'm again, they're going to get backed up right now.

Yeah, I definitely didn't need that, especially since, I mean, you've been starting to air it out more and there hasn't been a connection.

Yeah, you finally get that.

You feel like you're moving and the penalty happens.

435 to go here, 14 to nothing, Schwammigan.

I mean, with the ball here, it's a longer leading.

The loggers' corners are given our receivers good room here, and I'm wondering

if

you can't just run a quick slant on the route.

There's three

receivers on this left side in only one corner, so we're going to see what happens right here.

They are picked up.

You did.

There's a slant right to Myra Koskoverik.

There it was.

Picked up a

few.

Did he catch it?

He did.

He did.

Big catch.

Nice little

yard game.

And a nice hit there.

I think that was Mark Oglen.

He

snatched them.

As soon as he caught it, and that's going to bring up a third antenna.

Pick up a four yards.

Yeah.

See, that's the play I want them to run on first down

with

you.

The run is really hard for him to get by that front line of the loggers.

The loggers are getting good penetration and this passing offense is starting to work.

I've been thoroughly impressed by the edge rushers for the loggers, specifically number 72.

That's Derek Piska.

Yeah.

All right.

Three receivers left, one right.

Shotgun.

Ethan has it.

Booking left, finds his guy.

has to kind of pull it in.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's

going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's

going

to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to

be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out.

He's going to be out

It's now fourth down and we'll just call it fourth and forever.

Yeah, it is a

very long ways away.

Yeah, about a fourth and we'll say 20.

I would suppose

that

and 340 to go here.

And the Eagles are going to get

ready to punt again.

And back deep is Kenny Drexler for the loggers.

Alright, Cole Kraus, if you can repeat of that pun he had before.

Here it is.

And they're going to let that one

go.

There we go.

All the way down gets into loggers territory, about the 45 yard line.

Exactly on the 45 right on the 45 3 24 to go here.

It's going to be Schwammigan.

I'm sorry.

It's going to be longer football.

Yeah, longers take over on their own 45, but I mean they still have all three timeouts as well.

So 324 and the clock is not something to be scared of.

They're going to have more than enough time to kind of put their stamp here and try to end out the half.

I mean, honestly, even if they don't score, if they can keep it 14-0 before halftime, I think that's something to be happy about if you're logger pants.

Yeah,

absolutely.

I mean, you know, it's this possession right here, the possession of the game here right here.

It's going to be a confidence booster if Schwamagen is able to stop them and it's going to be heartbreaker if loggers are able to score.

Oh,

yeah.

324 to go.

Here's Drexler in the backfield by himself.

One receiver all the way right ball height, keeping go up the gut following his guys.

He's going to be able basically just

push forward, pump those sides and get six yards.

Yeah, nice job.

McCoy DeLasky, the offensive lineman next to him, pushing him ahead.

And nice job from Kenny getting what he could.

Oh, yeah.

Kenny.

You take a six yard rush every down.

You know, yeah, Kenny that chug right there.

That's Kenny.

Can he works for me roofing and he's hauling up bundles of shingles all day long and getting those legs going.

You're able to see it in action there right now.

So I'm going to have to take a little bit of credit for that one right there.

My roofing training coming into effect.

Yeah, you have

to

tell this is why I work here.

It's always fun.

The next day we get to talk about

the football.

Does it come

with a parent?

Yes, sometimes it does.

There you go.

All right, handoff left.

He kind of does.

Got close to the first down.

I think he's just a hair short.

We'll see.

That was Dylan Seidenbender, the freshman.

Either way, nice job falling forward.

I mean, he fought through the initial contact and when it turned a two-yard gain into about a four-yard gain, third and one.

The longer steam they just steep pre-cours able to just find athlete after athlete to fill in these running backs.

It was, you know, it was Dulaski and JJ Haken in last year and, you know, then it weighed better, falls in and he gets hurt.

Now you got, you got Kenny, you got these, you know, Dylan Seidenbender, you know, coming up Matthew Novak, a lot of young guys here.

That's good.

And here we go in the backfield is Novak and Drexler.

Ball hiked.

looking right he said he's gonna

throw it he throws up and

he couldn't get enough on it as

he

was running backwards almost a nice drill fourth and one coming up that was a coverage and

completion he had to run backwards and so he threw off his back foot gave it everything he had you know it

You can go try that

in your backyard.

I don't even know how you can throw a spiral.

He's still threw it about 20 yards,

but he needed about 25.

Yes, he did.

So here's the thing.

Didn't get sacked,

didn't

turn

over, so it's fourth and one.

You're at the Eagles 41.

They're going to go for it.

They are.

You got to run it up the middle here.

We're going to see if they do here.

It's going to be a keeper.

I bet Drexler is going to keep it.

Here he does, and it was called dead.

I got a timeout.

Both

pre-cars going to call a timeout.

Minute 57 to go here.

14 to nothing.

Walker's leading the Screaming Eagles.

We're going to send it back to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media app for a one minute timeout.

Jeff Hakin and here's a cat pass from Kenny Drexler over the top.

It's a complete surprise on that play call right there.

It's going to be a turnover and shawarma again ball.

They thought they had one over the top.

That was

definitely an interesting play call because he threw in the double cover.

So even if he drew it, it

would have been picked or knocked down.

That was a quick play call here coming back from the radio here at minute 54 to go Kenny Drexler.

I'd throw it a quick, it was a fourth and one, trying to throw it a pass over the middle.

Yeah, it was a

post-route into double coverage.

Yeah, it did work out well for the loggers, turnover on downs, minute 54 to go here, and Schwammigen can get back into the game again.

Yeah, I mean, this whole half your offense has been anemic, but if you score here, it forgives everything, right?

All right, five linemen, two tight ends, motion left.

Cole Krauss is going to go on the wheel route, Ethan's got a dodge receiver, he throws it over.

ahead of number 22.

Yeah, threw

it where

he had to

go.

He threw it over in front of the receiver where no defender could get it.

Can bring up a second.

Nate, will we say the Brewers are leading 9 by 9?

9-0?

Top of the fifth.

Top of the fifth.

Who are they taking on here right now?

Cincinnati.

Man, if it was a twins game, I wouldn't be happy

with that lead.

They blow it.

Yes, they do.

Steven Joel, the big twin fans here.

Oh yeah, I do enjoy the Brewers though.

I grew up going to a lot of Brewers games.

All right, three wide receivers right, one left, minute 50 left in this half.

Jamie Beagle's at their own 46 yard line, second 10.

All right, Ethan looking for his receiver, throws it in, gets it to DJ, cuts it by one, gets by two.

Oh, nice tackle at the anchor there.

He has one more to get by and then he was

gone, but the one more it couldn't get by.

No, great job.

Picked up close to a first, now looks like it's going to be a third and one.

I have been waiting all year for DJ Jemu to get thrown.

He's had so many good looks.

and it just hasn't been working and I feel like he's uh he has a chance to have a breakout.

I mean here we

go ball hike.

I mean look at the path.

Down the field almost picked off.

Stepping right in front was number 10 there.

Caden Morgan and got a hand on it.

It's going to be fourth and one coming

up.

That was a

great job.

Preston had a chance of bringing that ball in.

and Morgan read it early on there got a step on it and was able to get in front of and lead that path tip it away so now it's the

evils chance to do a fourth and one here first time they're not punting on fourth down is there and the longest territory let's see what they do get this ball the main nickel she runs it up the middle come on fourth and one is Ottoman oh and the longest jump they got back piska

It's handoff to Nate Nichols.

He swings off of the guy, runs for it, and absolutely makes a play out of nothing.

All by himself.

What looks to be a three-yard loss, he does a spin move, falls forward, and he gets

about a two-yard gain.

Nate

Nichols,

the junior here, six-three hundred.

and 90 pounds and did we hear a timeout called on the field?

Potentially, because there's a minute 14

timeout.

Timeout Swamigand.

I mean, I've been begging for it.

I was like, I literally

call it.

I said, get up all the neat nickels.

Get us the first down.

We're

starting to see it.

We're going to send it back to 98 Q country and then the civic media for a 30 second timeout.

Woodruff Appliance and TV Highway 47 in Woodruff.

And welcome back everybody.

Jeff Hakin along with Steve Gellin here and we are in Park Falls, Wisconsin and we are at a 14 nothing lead for the Phillips loggers over the screaming Eagles.

It was who just made nickels just getting that first down for Schwammigan with a minute 14 to go huge first down for Schwammigan.

When you needed to have it as fourth and one he fights through contact and now we got a new set of downs here.

Minute 14 left and they're driving their logger territory four receivers two on each side Ethan and shotgun looking for receivers.

throws it, gets it.

And I believe that's Nate Nichols again.

Fight for one

and then able to go forward.

Got us forward down.

Nice job.

Did a really good job making some plays on that one.

And that was Mark.

Mark Oskavaric

actually.

There we

go.

The 18 and the 15 on the far side of the field is tough to read.

Yeah, minute six to go and kicking his swan again.

They're trying to get this fast.

There we go.

Run it.

Their quick offense going here.

Same thing.

Four receivers, two on each side.

Full shot gun.

OK, Ethan looking for his guy.

He's got a look.

Gets it to Nate Nichols.

It's like for sure.

Going through fight through contact all the way up to 30 and now we're up to the 20 yard

line 30.

I believe those are 20.

You're right.

20 yard line and 40 about 42 seconds left for four half the Eagles.

They're staying with hurry up and how many time else they got left?

They got two left.

All right, four receivers two on each side.

Ethan, he's got his rhythm.

Receivers getting open.

32 seconds ball hike.

Ethan's keeping.

throws it in front of Mark and incomplete.

That's okay.

That's south of the clock.

I know if he caught that, that actually would have been worse.

He would have had to blow a timeout, so I do not mind the fact that that got

overthrown.

It's going to be a second and I'm sorry.

Oh no, third and one.

Third and one here coming up for Swam again.

27 seconds left.

They can take some chances.

Well, I mean, it's two down, four down territory.

So third down, but you have another play to work with here.

and so I mean Steve you get a reception in the middle of the field you better well they still have two timeouts it's tempting to try to okay they're not they're not tempted they're going four wide receivers head again I was going to say what pull Cole Krauss in motion here

and looks like the receivers are I mean the defensive line jumped here for

the longer than it's going to move them five yards fall start they're calling fall start an offense there one offense okay oh that's big

Oh man, third and one just turned into third and six.

Oh, a penalty is so difficult

to come back from, Steve.

Man, you get that.

The crowd is buzzing here.

Now we've

got some offense happening.

You can feel the energy up

in the booth here.

Oh my gosh, this thing is just like a bow and arrow ready to fire.

The crowd wants to scream.

14 to nothing here.

27 seconds to go here in this first half.

There's only one safety and two receivers on the right side there.

Full crowds in motion to the right.

They have a three-man matchup.

Everyone's open on that side.

He throws that ball.

And it's complete.

Just in

between both receivers.

I know.

It was like, which one was he throwing to?

Oh, my goodness.

23 seconds to go here.

And it's going to bring up a fourth down.

It's going to

be fourth and six, fourth and whatever that is.

Yeah,

fourth and six, I believe, coming up here.

Yeah.

Well, no matter what you run, the clock stops because it'll be a turnover on down.

Sure.

You don't get it.

I would not be surprised if we just see a drag route across the field.

Let's see if you run Mark straight and Nate across.

Fourth

and sixth, so I'm going to go for it

from

their 25-yard line.

Ethan running forward.

He's ripped!

Oh my

God!

It was

over there.

That

was Will

Piska.

That's his second fumble recovery.

Oh my goodness.

Will Piska's been an animal on defense all season long.

I'm so happy for this kid getting his chance here and it's going to be Lager's football.

18 seconds to go in this second quarter.

Oh, I mean,

Ethan's got to be kicking himself here because he made the wrong decision.

He broke through the line.

He stepped in the pocket.

He got away from the defenders.

and if he had just run forward, it's a first down, but he wanted to throw, so he pulled the arm back into his hand, and that's right when he came in, knocked it out, big play for the loggers, keeping this game at all 0-4.

Alright, 18 seconds now remains in the half, and you wonder if they might just play it take a kneel here.

Here we go, Drexler.

I'm close.

I think he's going to take a knee.

No

more chances.

That's what they did.

They're

going

to

run this clock out here 17 seconds to go and the loggers are going to be satisfied with a 14 to nothing lead going into halftime here.

Swam again.

They're going to be happy.

with that as well here.

I think both teams are pretty satisfied right now with how it's gone here.

And that's going to be the score here at halftime.

Phillips vloggers 14, Schwammig and Screaming Eagles 0.

We're going to send it back to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media app for a five minute timeout.

Hey, welcome back everybody.

Jeff Hakin here along with.

Steve Jettlin, and we are in Schwammagen here.

It's half time of eight man football, inter-conference rivalry, inter-county rivalry.

Yeah, we're

right down the road.

It's a dogfight out here.

And 14 to nothing, the Lawyer's leading.

And Steve, we talked about it a little bit just a minute ago while we were off the air.

14 to nothing lead.

Schwammagen's got to be pretty happy about that.

Well, you got to figure, I mean, they're not happy they're down 14, but at the same sentence, like you said.

I think the score could be a lot higher.

Yeah.

Um, uh, the loggers have committed a lot of penalties, which have killed their drive at bad times.

Yeah.

They say it's, it seems like on a third down, they have a penalty or they get a big gain.

Oh, it was holding.

They go all the way back.

And so the Eagles is like, man, you're kind of happy.

It's only 14 and 0, uh, right now for the score.

And so for the Eagles, I mean, the thing they got to solve is like, how can we get our offense going?

And I think they got a glimpse into what that is running your four wide receiver set, being a little bit more hurry up.

And running, they're easy routes.

They're curl routes.

They're slant routes.

You don't need to get a touchdown on every single path.

No, you're exactly right.

And it's plain in case in chaos.

Short passes in chaos is keeping the loggers.

They're kind of scrambled.

You see them running around a little bit.

A guy's open.

There's two receivers with only one defensive back over there.

A guy running over there a little bit late.

And then, like you said, they don't have to go for the big punch.

Give me five yards a pop on those.

Use

them as

big run plays.

And I think they have to.

Right now, your defensive end.

The Derrick Piska is absolutely blowing up this

game.

As is his

cousin Will.

Oh yeah, both Piskas are absolutely blowing up this game.

And the only way you can take them out of the game, I think, is you hike that ball and you throw it on a flat, a little in route.

Very quickly, in rhythm, and

now the defensive ends can't do nothing.

Yep.

We've seen it on that last drive right there, and you know, it's what they needed.

They're really lucky they had that possession right there to gain that confidence going into the second half.

I do.

Yeah, and we talked about it early.

We didn't really like how the, you know, the multiple handoffs, the reverse, reverse, you know, those counters.

I don't like that at the NFL level, I

don't

like it at the college level,

I like it at any level.

We've seen them fumble over and over on that one right there, and you know,

really lucky the loggers been capitalized on some of those.

But the turnovers maybe starting to settle down.

You'd think they'd settle down a little bit, you know, in this second half here.

The loggers, let's talk about the loggers offense a little bit.

I feel like the loggers have a little more big play opportunity.

Well, they did with Trace Calhoun.

You take him out.

Now you're down to Kenny Drexler, but Caden Borgans made a couple plays here along with Matthew Novak.

Let's talk about your guys quarterback.

I mean, I'm catching up to your guys' team here, but what's been communicated to me is that Wade Vetter was what was running this office.

Wade Vetter is the freak

athlete running the

office.

When you take that out, your identity is now different.

If you lose it here, guys, but you still have your big name player, you have your identity, you just kind of ship some things.

And so when you're the quarterback,

The play starts with you.

It put a new quarterback in there.

Yeah, so it's like you have to basically kind of forge ahead and lead these these guys into

what this office will look like.

What the season started out with was Kenny Drexler was the quarterback.

Kaden Borgen would come in off of the bench and he would be a kind of a specialty play.

type of a player with Wade Vetter being gone, Caden's getting a heavier role and he's more of the main quarterback.

Yeah.

And

Rexler is getting those, you know, kind of playing both right there.

And you love to see it from a sophomore stepping up.

Yes.

And it totally, like you said, it changes the identity of who the loggers are, not having that power running back that goes, give it away to the right side, gone

for it.

I know this is in the future, but I love thinking about this stuff because I'm a sports head, but like you got to figure all these snaps.

This is building confidence for Caden and you got to figure.

next year, right?

Drexler graduates, but you have now Morgan as a junior and Vetter as a

senior.

And Novak.

Yeah,

Novak as well.

And you

have, you have Trace Calhoun, who'd got injured on that long pass play.

You have him coming back as a senior as well here.

Hey, Steve, there's 545 to go here.

Let's send it back to 98 Q country and on the civic media.

We'll send it back for about three minutes, get some ads and we'll come back and we'll, we'll finish out this Ford bank half time show.

Sounds good.

Hey, welcome back, everybody.

Jeff Hakin in here along with Steve Jetland.

We are in Schwam again.

We got a football game, the Phillips Loggers and the Schwam against Screeving Eagles.

Heavyweight fight here.

It's 14 to nothing.

Loggers leading here a couple minutes to go here in half time.

Steve and you know, we wanted to kind of finish this out here.

Talk about a couple players that have been pretty special for both teams, unsung heroes.

Oh yeah, I said it's not another.

The Eagles are down 014, but it has not been all bad.

I'm telling you, Dawson Minima is having one of the best games so far of his football career.

It seems like every time there's a tackle, we see number 91 is the one that raps.

He

is in the loggers love to run it on that right side over there.

And Dawson has been there all game long here to break it up.

And it's been a big hiccup, you know, for the loggers trying to, you know, deal with Minima.

He's holding his ground, and he's one of those players out there that he's just like, he's so proud of his size over there.

He's just

daring them to go

by him.

He's a nose

tackle, so he's going to be there at the point of contact in every single play.

And so the Loggers just got to figure out how to play around him at this point.

And so far they've done an okay job, but Dawson just, he's got three sacks.

He's got a bunch of tackles.

He's got all of six tackles.

I think he might have seven.

And

three of them are also tackled for losses.

He's

just in the back.

And those are six, seven tackles that we're noticing out in the wide open.

There's still a couple.

He's got his hands

in.

Well, this game has really been defined by the defensive lines on both sides.

Will and Derek Piskav have combined for three-fourth fumble.

Just those two players got three-fourth fumbles themselves.

And they're also making just an absolute

terrorizing of the offensive line.

So I mean both defensive lines seem to have the I guess the number of the offensive line here today and we'll see what

can come out on top.

Yeah, McCoy-Dulaski on the logger side nice to be able to talk about him.

You know Wade Vetter goes out and Trace Calhoun goes out and what do they do?

They stick

Offensive lineman.

He's next up for running back and they run a counter to him and he runs probably what is it a 30 40-yard touchdown run on that left side?

He only needed one block.

He needed one block.

He took that one block went around

the corner ripped it up the sideline.

Yeah, I'm honestly, I didn't even think he had the angle.

I thought he's gonna get pushed out at like the five, but then it was like, whoa, okay.

He's got

he was running like his dad was chasing him like he like he just knew he made a mistake.

He had both arms.

on that ball and he looked like,

you

know, remember

that run from Bo Jackson?

We go so fast that he didn't stop and he ran right through the tunnel.

I thought McCoy

was going to go

all the way.

I thought we were going to see him up in Butternut.

He's going to start, he's just going to run out of the track field.

Just keep going.

Just keep going.

But hats off to him because he's been waiting for a big play like that.

You know, if you're the unsung hero, the defensive line, the offensive line, Coach Precourt rewarded him right there with that play.

So, you know, hats off to some of the unsung heroes.

here tonight, but you said it will, will Pishka Derek Pishka, McCoy, the last key on the logger's side.

And, you know, it was a minima.

Yeah, Dawson, Dawson minima.

You know, it was a mark, um, Osvachet Verrick that made a couple of big plays over here, keeping drives, um, going Nate Nichols has been special here.

I'm telling you right now that if in a world where the Eagles come back and win this game,

I'm convinced it's because Nate Nichols took over totally.

I got you.

And so

I just

think you got to feed him right now.

I felt I felt them in that last few drives.

He was really they had they found confidence in throwing him the ball

and

when he had the ball, he was doing some things.

Yeah, the loggers.

We're going to see though.

Hey, we talked about it.

Steve, who's going to throw the first punch when we come out of here and it's the loggers going to receive the ball out of the out of the second half here.

They're going to be the first ones to receive it and.

You know, they really important drive, first drive of the game, but we're probably going to say that all game long.

Oh yeah.

Well, when it's a close game, they're all so it's just like, can you take advantage of something, right?

We're just looking at a score here.

Just a casual 17 to 0 lead for the Brewers over the Cincinnati Reds.

Did you say that was a Grand Salami?

Oh my gosh.

Cheerio hitting.

You said it was cereal?

I'm not sure.

Okay, either way.

Someone hit a Grand Slam.

It's always interesting when you're like, oh, they hit a Grand Slam.

What's the score then?

5 to 2?

No, no, no, 17-0.

You don't see that one in baseball very often.

Absolutely.

Mitchell's one with the Grand Slammy.

I think we got to give a shout out to the chain gang down there.

I think we got a Joel Karnick.

Oh, it's Joel down there?

I believe so.

I believe that.

Oh,

he did say he was.

I

think he's down there watching

right now.

There you go.

Bill Karnak, you know, not just doing his thing on the radio, doing his... Oh, so he's

doing the chain game, was what?

Yeah.

Joel, a man of

many

talents.

Well, there you go.

That's why it's the first down.

Like

the

fourth down is still a one.

There is.

30 seconds to go.

Hey, we're going to send it back to 98Q country.

We're going to send it back for about a minute.

We'll come back and bring you the second half, guys.

Hey, welcome back everybody.

Jeff Haken along with Steve the jet jetland bringing you this high school football game.

The Schwamegan screaming Eagles in the Phillips loggers.

It's the screaming Eagles.

They're going to kick off to start out the second half.

Let's see if they can get an outside kick back here.

That's the 10.

and Lager's great

job.

Just get down on top of it.

Good recovery by number one.

Nice job on the recovery team.

They let the ball roll by and they went for blocks right away and second line was right there to pick it up.

So it's going to be the Lager starting out here from their own 42-yard line.

Lager's in their white tops, black pants, black helmets, and it's the screaming Eagles in their green and gold helmets, green uniforms, some gold letters here, and

Here

you got some winning tickets number Nate bought some tickets.

We're gonna see if Nate's a hundred air.

A hundred air.

Nate's buying a lunch on the way home.

Get a long drive back to Philadelphia.

a

timeout can be called by the loggers as they had seven men on the field and someone had to rush out there and there was about to be called to delay a game.

So here we are here to start out

the second half not a great start

for the loggers.

You had all the halftime to figure out what the first play was and it happens.

It

does happen.

So a timeout to start this out here we'll take a chance to send it back to 98Q country and on the Civic Media app for a 30 seconds timeout.

up to

Scott's.

Welcome back everybody.

Jeff Hakin and along with Steve Jetland here and it was an opening handoff to big.

The real McCoy, McCoy de Lasky running it down, chugging it down.

That right sideline picked up about 40 yards on a 50 yards on that run.

We'll see where it spots either way.

He cut it right and was able to just absolutely just basically have a track rate.

There was no one there.

He's pushing 100 yards

in this game.

Yeah, Aiden Bushman was able to get the angle to slow him down, but not before a huge explosive run.

And here's Dylan Sidonbender.

He's going to keep it right side Dylan.

Cut it back to the inside and picks up a few nice run there from the freshman and the logger switching up who touches the ball here a little bit.

Dylan Sidonbender on this one McCoy-Dulaski on that last one.

And

it

looks like Kenny Drexler going to bring the play call in again here.

Alright, second and five now.

Nice job by the loggers to take advance of this drive after the big run there.

They're now within the 20 yard line, red zone plur.

See what the loggers can do to try to finish off this drive and

see if the Eagles can't stop it.

Alright, 11 minutes to go here, third quarter.

Longers, here's Drexler in the backfield.

Side Vendor luckily catches it.

Yeah, that bounced off his hand and he looks like he's going to attack from the backfield.

Nice job by number 31 on the R.J.

Andrews,

the freshman.

Yeah,

that's not that's not this.

That's the second or third time we've called his name.

Yeah, and he's able to chase down the other freshman.

That was a high snap and side vendor was able to get it

back in, but it really delayed the play.

It could have been a big loss.

It's going to be a third and five coming up.

from about the 18 yard line.

Yep.

1038 to go.

Third quarter.

Clock is ticking.

Third and five.

Here's the loggers.

Drexler.

All

right.

Receiver left now.

Drexler all alone.

Shotgun.

Oh, both drops.

He's going to be.

Oh, he gets away from it.

He's got a chance to try to make some yards.

Nope.

There is number.

What is that number?

All right.

It could have been real bad.

Drexler saved some, but that's two plays in a row.

that ends up being fumbles and it's going to bring up a fourth and 10 now.

So the loggers, they make a nice drive, get down the field, and now it's going to be a fourth and 12.

Yeah,

Oliver Soviak was able to get down and sack him after the ball kind of bounced away, picked up.

He had to

roll out right, dodge the first guy.

A brave play to pick it up with his hands and not just fall on it.

He did.

Caden Morgan brings the play call in.

Matthew Novak, he's going to check in as well.

All right.

That's a big

time play for the Eagles to make sure that I mean, you know core core back picked it back up try to make something on

Ken 20 to go a third quarter loggers leading 14 to nothing and Here's another quarterback loggers switching it up.

Here's Caden Morgan in the backfield by himself fourth and 12 Morgan receiver left.

That's

it.

All right looking for it

Down the sideline throws it up and it is going to be incomplete thrown just ahead.

However, that was a great route run by number 18 Matthew Novak.

So

fourth down a turnover on downs here and Schwann again.

Here's the thing.

If you're the coach there, you run that play again.

No, it didn't go that way.

But when he was open, that was a really cleanly run route.

He was triple covered.

And when he cut it inside, he was open.

Yep.

Just

missed them on the pass right there.

You know, you don't obviously the play failed, but it wasn't a

failure of a play.

You got it.

You can run that again

for sure.

Makes

total sense.

10-04 to go here.

First in 10-04, shawam again from the 25 yard line,

24 yard line, something like that.

Five linemen, now two tight ends, one on each side.

Motion, Cole Kraus, handed off and then it's handed off in number 18, Oscar Veric.

He's just kind of fighting through a bunch of contact.

and is able to pick up about three to four.

He was.

Those are the scary plays.

They're holding on to it.

Steve, we've seen about three fumbles on those plays

in

that first half.

Coach probably told us, hey, if we're going to run these, we cannot fumble them.

Can we just not run those?

Can that be the first decision?

They're driving you wild.

It's funny because you're like, oh, those are dangerous and you're thinking the ball carrier is going to get the ball knocked out.

I'm thinking about the handoff.

Oh my gosh.

934 to go here.

That one worked, but don't be fooled into thinking you should keep running those.

It's a second six coming up here for Shulam again from their own 28

yard line, 27 yard line.

All right, same formation, five linemen, two tight ends, one on each side.

All right, ball, hand it off, faked again, Nate Nichols has it this time and he's just... Oh,

just take

it away!

It's still bouncing around the Eagles, but

it's just

got... I think the longer's got it.

I think the Eagles got it.

Piszka picked that one up ripped it away from him.

He just started running the other way.

Oh my gosh, number 61.

Who is that?

Kaden Boftelsen.

Oh my land.

Will Piszka just ripped it from him started going for a touchdown and then they played hot potato

about three four times.

Oh my gosh, Schwannigan came away with it.

So this is going to be the longest play so far.

It's like third and 30.

Third and 40.

Oh my gosh, it's a third and 34ish.

I don't know.

It's 3rd and 30 line.

I mean, I don't want to point out the obvious, but it was another one of those double handoffs.

Yes.

It

was just shredded and ripped away.

Steve, good news is I don't think they're going to run that

right now.

They got four wide receivers through the right one on the left.

He's looking.

Ethan dodges one, throws a ball.

It's going to go down, cut it inside.

He's got to keep fighting forward.

He gets all the yards back, but it's.

Not a first hour and long.

Picked up about 25 yards on that play.

You imagine getting that big of a gain and it's going to be fourth and nine.

That's

funny.

That

was a big play and it's still fourth

and nine.

That was a great play and catch.

Cole Krause was able

to catch that ball on the sideline and

just

carry it forward.

Here's what we know, Steve.

The passing game is working for Schwamig and the running game is not.

Well, the

handoff game is not.

The handoff is not.

It's like, okay.

745 to go here.

Three receivers left on this time.

One on the right side.

Ethan Shacklin.

4th and 7th.

Has to make a decision.

Derek Pista got

in

there.

Big time sack for the log.

Derek Pista again.

Gets the sack.

Turnover on downs.

Loggers football deep in their own territory.

And Derek Piszka, he's out there flexing, feeling like a tough guy out there today.

Derek

Piszka,

great job.

He has to throw that ball.

You cannot take a sack

on a fourth down.

Way deep like that.

That put him all the way back about the 15 yard line, Steve.

It's going to be first and 10 for the longers.

from shawarma against 15 yard line.

And this ball has just been on this side of the field all day long.

Yes.

And it's longer than a tough time finishing

drive here.

They've got a couple, but it's like now you got 15 yards ago.

So no excuse.

They got a scoring.

I have a feeling we're going to get McCoy going on the right side.

McCoy to Lasky.

And

here it

is.

It's

McCoy.

McCoy, right side, breaks through.

Oh, can't keep on his feet.

I could sniff that play coming though.

Yep,

defenders did a nice job of, as he was going down, able to lift his hand up and trip him up, keep him from going.

And what, two yard game?

Yep, short game there for McCoy.

Going to bring up a second and we'll say nine.

Seven minutes, 12 seconds to go, third quarter.

Locker's leading, 14 to nothing.

All right.

So waiting on the they're still in the huddle here.

Yes, we'll see what the formation is vloggers have been mostly keeping a tight formation tonight And if they have a receiver, it's usually just one so tight ends left side now Direction to the right direct learn the shotgun now.

They're on the right side everyone set motion left now and Handoff left side and vendor left side trying to get the corner.

He does and forced out of bounds

Oh, they're going to that could potentially be throw flag or

no, they did not.

I think the I mean, I like that they don't not a malicious play.

He was tackled out of bounds.

Got to be careful though.

If

the ref

called that one, I could

understand, but I'm with you.

It wasn't malicious.

So, you know, they let that one go.

It's going to bring up a third down and maybe two or three.

It's going to be served from about the seven yard line.

Loggers got seven yards to get into the end zone.

I'm going

to call it third and three coming up here.

Okay, the Eagles got here that Drexler in the backfield by himself in the shotgun boy to the right side and bender to the left.

He's in motion I Snap

and he keeps it fight through.

He's got space.

That's

his end zone Kenny Drexler left side Touchdown Kenny the senior Get into the end zone at the second touchdown of the game 20 to nothing is the score

Steve Well, his blockers was going right.

He had a nice job of reading where the defense was going and so when he cut it left, I mean

He didn't walk in, but he jogged in there.

He jogged in there.

Yeah, he

jogged in

there.

A nice

job by the Lyman there and a deceptive play.

Hey, them counters, they're working well for the loggers here tonight.

And they haven't so much for the screaming Eagles.

636 to go here, a two point conversion coming up for the loggers.

All right.

20 to nothing so far, but the two point conversion is now pending here.

So let's do what they got.

Shotgun.

Ball hike.

Trexxer is going to keep it.

Looks like he's going to pass back up to the side.

Cut down.

Nice job by number two as the

logger.

Kaden Morgan.

The sophomore.

22-0 now for the loggers over the Shawamigans.

There we go.

22-0.

Hey Steve, we're going to send it back to 98Q Country and on the Civic Media for a one minute timeout.

Welcome back, everybody.

Jeff Haken and Nathan, I'm sorry, Nathan Padelos and Steve Jettlin here in Shawamigan at Park Falls, Wisconsin.

And it is the screaming Eagles.

And the Phillips loggers battling and out 22 to nothing.

The loggers just kicking it off deep for the first time.

And Shulamagen, they're going to start out with it deep in their own territory at the 20 yard line.

Steve, Shulamagen can't get a break with some good field position either.

I mean, sometimes you make your own luck there and it's just like DJ had a chance in the ball.

He missed it, flopped around, he jumped on top of it.

And it's like, yeah, I don't know if he's going to kick return, but he would have got 5-10 yards.

Yes, 6-33 to go here first and 10 from their own 20 yard line.

All right.

All right wide receivers now three on the right one on the left Ethan back there Ball hiked only has a two-man rush here has some time faith left throws down the middle You

guys to beat can't do it out of bounds at the 10 buddies within the Mark Hogan Big play there from the junior

Mark Hogan I didn't say it in time, but I was about to say don't throw that and he just threw Basically a floater down the center of the field

He saw his corner wasn't guarded, but the route was already too long, so it's an easy pole by the safety.

I call that a rookie mistake, to be

honest.

And it helps when, or it doesn't help when the loggers.

Okay, so the interception is good.

There was a hole at the end of the play that's going to pull the back or loggers back ten yards It's going to put them from the 20 yard line to the 30 yard line to start out.

I mean

it hurts, but I

mean

you took out the interception.

Yeah

Great return.

Nice job.

They already

did move

it to

the 20 yard line.

They

were at the 10 now they're at the 20.

So the loggers going to start out here from the 18 yard line.

Yep

I think the Eagles need to focus on a short pass game.

Try to not air out the ball at this time.

Drexler

in the backfield in the shotgun by himself.

OK.

Well we got a year.

Here we go.

No lock in motion.

Fake handoff runs up the gut.

One fight through one fight through two carrying the whole

pile.

That's an easy first down.

Drexler still going chugging along.

Was

that

him all by himself?

Finally getting in there to drag him down.

was the man we've been seeing that whole first half Dawson Minima.

And now we're first in goal.

He got that thing far.

It's like the four yard line.

Geez.

Nice run there from Kenny Drexler.

That was all Will.

That was Will Power.

He chugging those legs.

Kenny wanted it.

Kenny's looking for his third touchdown of the game.

He said he was going to get, I said he needed four to win this game, Steve.

We'll see.

Drexler by himself.

All right.

He's going to keep it up the middle.

Going left now has to do a readjust, but the defense is able to swallow him up this time.

It's a

big group tackle.

That was and I think who that was had him first was Dawson Schmidt grabbed him by the shirt and just kind of slowed him down enough.

Yeah, did he pick up anything on that play?

Maybe maybe are not a lot anyway.

Either way, it's going to be a second goal.

Yep.

From inside the five will say the both three yard line.

You able to see over me?

Yep.

OK.

525 to go here in this third quarter.

It's the Phillips loggers leading the Schwamegan screaming Eagles 22 to nothing here in Schwamegan.

Loggers with the ball off of this interception from Mark Hoagland and looking to drive deep in Schwamegan territory.

It's second down a goal from the three.

Alright,

everyone bunched up.

They got one in the backfield.

Ball hike.

Keeping it going right as space just has to be one guy.

He does.

and is able to run out.

Kenny Drex for a third touchdown of the game.

Number seven in the right corner of the end zone.

It's 28-0 Phillips loggers and with 502 to go in this third quarter the loggers going to go for the two-point conversion.

Yeah

able to do a big time.

I mean they've been able to force a huge turnover on downs, have a short field, have a

A big interception, short field, no penalties.

I mean, they have to hold.

Either way, no penalties on offense and able to

capitalize and now it's 20-0.

And going for the two-point conversion.

Got Seidenbender and Drexler.

Seidenbender keeps it a counter

to

McCoy-Dalaske.

McCoy that right side.

I don't

think he got it.

He

did.

He did.

He felt a nice job of just using his big

body

to fall forward.

Thirty to zero.

Thirty to nothing.

Offensive lineman strength on that one right there, playing the running back position.

It's thirty to nothing here.

The Lager's leading Shulamagin.

We're going to send it back to 98Q country and on the Civic Media app for a one minute timeout.

Welcome back eva and Nathan Padawals and Jettlin here in Park Falls we have Phillips loggers lea screaming Eagles 30 to nothing quarter five minutes to go coming off a scoring dri here.

It is gonna be the right to left in front of

Ball went out of bounds on the kickoff.

Oh, it did.

Where was I?

It was

a penalty.

Okay.

So

the

ball will be

placed,

you know, wherever they play.

Wherever they do, because they got a few options.

They

can

re-kick it.

The 35, right?

Yeah, it

seems like that's the most taken one.

So it's going to be a first and 10 here for the Screaming Eagles with five minutes to go here in this third quarter and first and 10 from the 35 yard line, their own 35 yard line.

All right, this is me.

You can't

see but my hands are together and praying for a short pass game.

Here we go.

It's been working good.

It's been coming along.

I should say it should say it's been working good.

It's been.

Seeing some signs here, Steve, it's been seeing signs of life.

Yes, it's tough to say it's working good.

It is, but repetition is what they need just like this right here.

That one a little behind them.

Well, they did what I asked for.

Yes, all was

just thrown or under thrown to intend to receiver Austin Seaford who.

He was definitely guarded, but that wasn't gonna be a casual ball and probably three to four yard game.

Yeah balls

out second attempt five minutes to go 30 to nothing Loggers leading here and Schwamm again in this passing game here trying to keep the change rolling Trying to get on the scoreboard Steve.

They've been close.

They've had some good moments here and Just just shy on every attempt when they got close Okay, three receivers right one

left

Now.

Addison in the shotgun.

Loggers just have two rushes, and that might be defense on the defense.

I think so.

I think they're going to call it an offense.

They did, because he jumped as well.

Well, if the defense forces the offense to jump, it's usually defensive offside, but that's

what it is.

So it's going to back up Schwam again five yards here.

It's going to be a second and 15.

Okay, keep the same play call.

Here we go.

Under five minutes now.

Swam again.

Here's their turn.

Second down.

Ball hike.

Looking right.

Looking left.

Has to run.

Has his guy open and it falls through the hands of number 81.

Skylar

Ottison.

Skylar Ottison just couldn't have that one.

The senior.

I don't know.

Brother to brother, cousin to cousin, something.

The Ottison's trying to

connect.

Skylar Ottison, it could be.

That's a bummer.

Good route, good throw.

He went right through his hands.

And you know what, Steve?

You can see he put his head down for a second.

Coach is over there to pick him up.

He says you got this kid.

Oh yeah,

yeah.

The coach is trying to be like one of those things where a play call was good.

Route was run well.

You just got to finish the play.

So he'll get another chance.

100%.

Yeah.

All right.

Third down and 15 now.

Got a lot of yards to get.

But if you get a good chunk play here, you might go for it.

Turp receivers on the right, one on the left.

Ethan shotgun.

Alright three-man rush already running around dodges one defender has to dodge a second one He does not that's a big time.

He's gonna be

sacked at the 20

about a 10-year

long.

He's going is that number two.

Yeah, that was number two over there.

So

Junior Kennedy,

Junior

Kennedy we're calling his name.

Absolutely job get the sack and now pushing it to fourth and 20 something Junior

Kennedy just a sophomore And big play for junior he got him by the shoestrings

And if he could have gotten away, he could have possibly picked up a little bit of positive yardage.

He would have got a lot of positive yardage.

There

wasn't a lot beyond that.

All the

defenders were down here with the receivers.

I think he would have probably all of 15 yards before anyone got close to him.

That was a big time play by Kennedy.

You know, he prevented something real big.

Yes.

Here we go.

Four minutes to go county.

He was going for it.

They're in deep in their own territory three receivers left or right one left ball hike Ethan look and throw in as a receiver that's open It's almost picked off off the deflection as the intended receiver number 80 Cole Kraus Cole Kraus off of this bring it

Yeah off of his fingertips.

They're Kenny Drexer making a diving attempt trying to catch it

and we just had the reverse issue where the ball was delivered in time and open and Accurately and our receivers had two drops on that drive.

Absolutely.

So we're gonna get

Turnover on

down.

Yeah, change of possession turnover on down 355 to go here logger certain.

Hey, if the logger score here, it's going to be a running clock.

Yeah,

I mean the loggers might put up over 20 points here with less than 50 yards of offense.

Yeah, the third quarter.

in the ball again down on this side.

I can't get rid of it on this side.

Oh, I

better get away from a tackle and make something positive hot of

nothing.

Boy did

he pick up five yards on that one, Steve.

Yeah, another penalty in number 89 had a chance to make a play.

That's Gordon Kratz.

Yeah, luckily or likely it's going to be brought back after a five yard game.

I got a

feeling first in 15 is coming

up.

I was talking to Jeff off the air about the size of the Eagles have.

I mean, Jordan Kratz.

six one two fifty two freshmen.

Like if that kid, kid development, oh, who am I calling his name in a couple of years here right off

him.

And you go through here, we've got, Lager's got one kid over 200 pounds on their roster.

Oh man, you've got

quite a bit.

And we have a center over 300.

We've got two kids over six foot only and two kids that are over 200 pounds or one kid over 200 pounds.

Yeah.

But.

size isn't everything here or not in football and especially in eight man football.

Well, I mean, the loggers

are showing you that they take one block and they just punish you for it.

Absolutely.

All right.

Receiver all the way on the right there.

Shotgun ball hiked.

It's going to be false start on

number nine.

The receiver who was out there.

Yep.

That side bender on that right side right in front of the official.

He was excited.

He was excited.

He was.

But loggers.

I mean, they had two drives already that were clean, but now you got two back to back penalties.

Hopefully this is just an aberration.

You definitely don't want to return to the first half.

Yeah, 338 to go here.

All right, still was it still first down?

All right first in 20 at

now the Eagle 30 yard line.

Kenny Drexler bringing that play call in here three and a half minutes ago and kicking first and 20.

That hold must have been by the line of scrimmage.

I thought they were going to pick up five on that one.

Drexler from the shotgun.

Ball hiked quarterback keep get the block going left a lot of green big hit

Nice job.

Eagle.

Yeah, there was about four or five Eagles right there pops Kenny hard Kenny nice job lowering his shoulder running right into it

Oh, yeah, three minutes now here remain in the third quarter vloggers

still lead 30 zero Eagles are not I don't know what the officials tell him Kenny He's just yelled at him for some case with hands like like what are you telling me to do?

No idea.

I mean Any coach pre-court

given him the play call.

He might have been telling him how many seconds were left before the delay game.

Here we go.

And Drexler brings the play call back in.

And clock is ticking here.

All right.

2 30 now remains in the third.

And Drexler sets up his offense.

Drex is freshman says, hey, get a wide left there, kid.

Everyone's on the left side with a lot of room on the right side.

McCoy Lasky's got a break through one and he's going to get a positive yardage.

Well, quite a laugh.

He gets to the original line of scrimmage going to bring up a third and 10, I'd say.

I was I wish I had a little bit more time to

expound there because they were on the left hash mark all the way.

They put all the blockers on the left side.

It was like, this is going to be a

counter.

Yes, 100%.

That's the play that's been just famous.

The logger's made famous that counter play right there and

the rest of the right side.

The last one's going to run

in a great today.

Another example there.

Yeah, he didn't get a touchdown, but he got eight or nine yards on that.

Got it back.

Yes, got it back to a manageable.

third down and what a job he's doing as a running back.

Steve, these are his first runs as a running back ever.

Well,

he's going to get more after this week.

They're going to, here's the thing, they're going to look at the film after this and they're going to see

what we're

seeing.

Yeah.

Here we go.

With Trace Calhoun getting injured earlier, we got new guys doing new things.

McCoy, he's usually in that center spot guard spot.

Here we go.

Drexler looking back to pass.

He's got it.

He's under pressure.

He throws it up.

It's going to be thrown away.

Good decision by the quarterback.

What a great decision by Kenny.

Yeah.

Getting rid of it.

Abby, you don't want 4th and 10, but he was about to get if he held that

ball too long, he was going

to get

destroyed by number 90.

Yes,

and on the left side of the left side as well, he had pressure coming from both sides.

So can he's going to get the play call here?

It's going to be a fourth and 10 coming up.

It's a manageable play here.

They're going to go for it.

Of course, at the 30 yard line.

Well, you're playing

with house money.

You're up 30 zero.

I

mean, as far as I'm concerned, the whole playbook is open.

Got it.

Here we go.

Drexler is going to get his team, lead his team up to the line of scrimmage.

30 to nothing is the score a minute 35 to go in this third quarter.

All right Kenny Shotgun motion right ball hiked fake handoff look at first guy throws it up one-on-one coverage Hovland almost they're gonna call passes interference.

Oh my goodness.

They're gonna call it an hidden bushman.

That's a tiki-tak one.

I would

agree

that that was I thought

they were both going at the ball right there.

There was a little bit of

Jersey pull but they

kind of let you get away with that.

Minute 30 to go here and the loggers might have gotten away with one here.

Loggers yeah I mean that was a fourth and 10 that went incomplete instead of being Eagles ball.

It's now going to be a first down.

Joel Karnick

There's another flag.

Oh there's two flags.

We're getting offset.

Well then the loggers might have another chance here.

Swamigan you mean.

Oh I mean it's going to stay fourth and 10.

Oh sure if

it is.

They

were both on the defense.

They're both on defense.

They're going to accept the pass.

The pass interference?

I don't think it was a pass interference.

I think they called the roughing the pass.

It would be.

So they're going to get that.

So that's a 15-yard penalty, basically, I believe.

Yeah.

So that's going to move them up to about the 10-yard line first down.

First down.

That's the bigger

part.

Yeah.

Automatic first down on that.

Man.

All

right, here we go Eagles.

They got it.

They got a tighten up here.

Yep.

Minute 30 here left in the 30 first and goal.

They put down the chains.

All the reps are they're not positioned.

You can go longers.

It's looking to get a score here and get the running clock going here.

So

I'm

going to want something to say about it.

Drexler up the middle keeps it himself

positive yards.

Oh my

gosh, he got up

there.

Kenny Drexler his fourth.

He took that ball on direct snap and he was just playing a little dose you don't go left go right

go left go right fall forward touchdown There we go minute 25 to go.

It's 36 to nothing Kenny Drexler gets into the end zone and he's really stepped up his game in this second half And it's 36 to nothing they're gonna go for the two-point conversion

That

ankle feeling good all right

two point conversion now here see if they can't pump this up to 38

Drexler in the backfield by

himself from the shotgun.

All

right

ball hiked holding it right looking throws it left has his guy and drops

it in the pocket.

Two point conversion is good.

And it was oh that was Caden Morgan his second two point conversion of the game.

Well that you know if that was the version they ran in the previous one.

Yes same one twice.

Minut 25 to go with 38 to nothing.

Loggers leading Schwammigan.

We're going to send it back to 98 Q country and on a civic media app for one minute time out.

And it was the Phillips Luggers kicking off after that long touchdown drive or that short touchdown drive.

And it was a deep kick.

Well, you

did your first end over end kick and DJ looked like he was about to receive that

in

stride.

Yeah.

And it went through his arms off his knee, launched forward.

About 20 yards.

Luggers just jumped on top of it and you're just sitting here like.

We got to stop going to commercial because these special teams plays got some happen.

We come back and

the people at home think strawman is going to start

their offense and why they're

like why the loggers

got the ball.

It's just offense for the loggers here.

Yeah, here we go.

Loggers again here.

They're going to give it a try here at Drexler in the backfield.

And that's another thing for the law.

How do you get on a rhythm on offense

to get out playing offense?

So all right, handoff left side, tearing it up.

He's got to get by his blockers.

Nice job.

Just following through.

Those got

a balance in a nice

set

of yards.

Yeah,

it was a first in 10 here from the 35 yard line.

He picked up a few going to get up close to the 30.

Yeah, about four or five yard gain.

Take that every time.

44 seconds to go here in this third quarter.

38 to nothing.

Loggers leading.

And Drexler bringing the play call in here.

Running clock for this fourth quarter here tonight.

Oh look, the thing I'm the least surprised about ever.

Boxed in for the Twins is out this season.

Oh,

no, Blile.

Oh, who would have

saw that coming?

All right.

Here we go.

And Drexler going to keep this one a fake hand up.

Up the middle he goes.

And a nice tackle from behind, but not before Drexler gets close to a first out.

Might have got it.

He might have got it.

If not, he's right there.

Yeah.

Could be a first in 10 here.

We're going to say it is a third in inches.

Man, it is not my night tonight.

You got your guys as Brewers, 17-0.

The Loggers went in 38-0.

I'm

over

here.

Steve, I'm trying.

I'm trying to end the twins' best players out for the season for like the ninth time in his career.

Steve, I'm trying to be as nice as I can here to you.

I feel free.

I could see reality.

It's all good.

There's moments where you want to rub it in once in a

while.

We're good sports here.

Absolutely.

Here, we're having fun up here, but the Eagles, they're playing hard.

They're down 0-38.

We see the score, but they're out

there giving everything

they got.

It is.

Hey, we're at the end of the third quarter here.

Fourth quarter going to be coming up in just a moment.

It's 0-38, so nothing longer is leading Schwamm again.

We're going to send it back to 98-Q country and on the Civic Media app for a 30-second timeout.

Marcus here from Medford Motors.

Is your vehicle in need of an oil change?

I have a solution.

Right now, Medford Motors mobile service is now offering as soon as next day service for all makes and models.

We'll come to you, service your vehicle on the spot and we'll be on our way.

Call yours truly, Marcus at 715-314-1652 or schedule online at medfordmotors.com.

and welcome back everybody.

Jeff Haken and along with Steve Jeltlin here in Park Falls, Wisconsin.

It is a 38 to nothing lead here for the Swamigan Screaming Eagles over the, I'm sorry, for the Phillips vloggers over the Screaming Eagles here tonight and fourth quarter just underway here and a little bit of a breeze picking up.

It's a nice night.

It's got to be 70 degrees and just beautiful out here tonight.

We're in a t-shirt and shorts.

as the sun has gone down, the lights are on.

It is a football atmosphere here in Schwamegan.

Nobody leaving the stands here and it's 38 to nothing, Steve, but it doesn't feel like it.

Both teams playing hard and plugging away.

It's a field possession game here that Schwamegan can't get the ball on their side of the field.

Yeah, and you're looking at this game.

I think there's different objectives now for the Eagles, because I mean you are down 38-0.

You're not winning this game unless the craziest thing of all time happens.

Right now you're at 7.

quarters without a score.

So I think that's just the Eagles.

Can you

just get six points?

Yeah,

absolutely.

And as this game rolls along, you're going to start to see some of the younger players for the loggers come in here.

You know what I mean?

And you're going to get some different types of opportunities.

I

mean, I say the best practice is out on an actual game field.

So if you can rotate your guys and your freshmen, some of your sophomore, they're on the edges of the main roster.

That's big.

Any minute you get, any play you got is just going to be better than it would be on a practice field.

It is.

We talked about that with Dylan Seidenbender out here as a freshman.

We've seen freshman CJ over there.

For Swam again, who am I talking about?

RJ, RJ Andrews.

We've seen him out there.

And yeah, those minutes for those kids that you can't you can't replicate that.

All right, fall hike going left on the blocker, fighting through contact.

It's going to be close to a first down.

They had a penalty on a fall start to go back to a third and five.

So it looks like they fought all the way back.

It's going

to be attached short.

It looks like fourth and one.

Yeah, fourth and one coming up here.

Maybe a fourth and two coming up side and vendor.

gave

it everything he had.

It was a little bit short.

Fourth and two.

OK.

And I'm going to try to get that first down.

1134 to go here.

Clock is ticking.

It's going to be a running clock for the rest of the ball game.

And that's a new rule here.

I don't know if that's a new rule.

If it's 35, even if they come back under in the fourth quarter, it still stays running.

I'm pretty sure it does.

But Drexler.

I forget.

Drexler from the shotgun.

Steve are right.

It's all high.

Another false start.

You know what?

It's one of those weird things where you're kind of mad at a penalty, but if you could see what we saw, Dawson Minima was about to clobber the ball carrier that was going to be a turnover on downs.

So your false start kind of gave you a

second chance.

It gave you another chance.

Dawson was like, I was about to eat you.

Dawson

has been that

guy all night here.

Dawson Minima.

The defensive lineman, the junior, 511, 255 pounds.

And he's faster than you think.

Yeah, he's a big boy, a big athlete.

He's a big athlete.

He's strong.

He doesn't, he looks like there's not a lot of body fat on the kid.

I'm sure there is, but he's a strong kid.

Oh yeah.

And here, 10 and a half minutes to go here, clock ticking and the loggers.

From the 30 yard line, they got about six yards to go to

get a

first

down.

Alright, shotgun, fall hike.

And off left in the counter by one guy.

He's free.

He's running 20.

I want another touch and he caught it.

Oh, two yard line candy.

McCoy, the last key.

He's got over a hundred yards here tonight on about four carries.

I think

the eagle.

Everyone knew that was coming.

There was a guy who met him.

The last key at the line of scrimmage and he shed that tackle that

he

was

almost gone.

This is going to be such a huge play.

Coach is going to see this when they watch our watch up tape.

But McCoy on this.

because he's able to take on that first attack.

He's able to take on that defensive lineman to hit him right off the bat.

And once he gets past that, he's gone.

Yeah, I mean, one of the most important things you can have in football is how do you handle first contact?

Yes.

As a defense, do you actually tackle the guy in first contact?

And with the running back, can you get past the first

contact?

In McCoy being a contact kid.

I love it.

Easy.

Beat him, beat him more.

All right.

Bidenbender is going to try to get to the end zone in the corner.

He does a little bit.

Still inside.

Bidenbender, the freshman, picking up a touchdown here.

And now we're looking down the barrel of 44-0, a loggers lead over the home team.

So I'm going to get screaming evil.

All right.

Second two-point conversion coming up here for the loggers.

And this is the only time the clock does stop.

The students for the Lager School got a fun little chant going on saying he's a freshman.

We hear that one in basketball

a

lot.

That's a great chant.

Well, it's good support for your fellow classmates and seeing the success of your team.

All right.

Two point conversion now about to start.

Ball hiked and it's going to be a false start.

And a fumble on that snap anyway.

So again, a break for the longers.

We talked about that break they had on that fourth

thumb play.

I was going to say it out loud, but I figured I would curse it.

Yeah.

And I just now I'm convinced I thought it.

Yeah.

Man, that false start saved you guys and

gave you another

play.

It was going to be a turnover on down.

I was like, watch them score on this.

Oh my goodness.

Well, you didn't score on that play.

You only got to what?

And then Dylan ran it in 920 to go here.

44 to nothing.

Loggers there are going to go for the two point conversion here from just a little bit deeper now.

And it looks like where they go from a 10.

All right, motion right.

They came off looking to pass.

Has this guy open and a nice reach up and grab.

Mark Hoglund.

Down by Mark, able to extend

in the air, bring it down for two-point conversion.

Mark Hoglund.

The two-point conversion, good for Mark.

It's 46 to nothing.

9.20 to go here.

We're going to send it back to 98Q Country and then the Civic Media app for one minute.

Time out.

Welcome everybody.

Jeff Hakin and along with Steve Jettlin here and we were just short just shy on this play as well.

These minute timeouts here are timeouts that are

between

quarters and timeouts.

They're moving really quick here, but there was a kickoff there and DJ did return at this time.

He did in.

Fred it back about 10 yards on that return and it's going to be a first down and 10 for Schwammigan from their own 32 yard line 845 to go here and counting.

It's 46 to nothing.

Loggers leading Schwammigan.

They got a lot left to do here yet tonight.

This isn't something where they fold up every play.

Every everything matters a lot here,

Steve.

You look at your players,

and like I said, the illusion of winning this game is pretty much gone.

It's 46-0.

But all the players want to look back at the film this week and go, this drive, it works.

This play, it works.

So they're fighting for it.

They want to put something good together here for their own self-confidence and for their teammates.

Here we go.

Back from the shotgun

in the short pass.

Cole Kraus able to catch it for no gain.

But I'll be honest, I do like to play Cole.

And I've been begging for a short pass play on first down all night.

We finally got one.

We

got it.

Eight

minutes to go.

Clock is ticking.

All right.

Nate Nichols coming back in.

Preston's back in as well.

Just moving it too much.

Just let it be.

Okay.

744 to go here.

Clock is ticking here and Shulamagin steps up to the line of scrimmage.

Okay, Mark and Nate Nichols are in the slot on the left side and then Preston's all the way out.

Okay, ball hiked.

He's looking left.

It's going to be thrown to Mark Oskarberg.

He has it.

Dodges one going right.

Can he come and take it up the field?

He'll go in.

Two, three,

and the fourth guy is the one to bring him down at the 45-yard line.

Mark Holdland making a tackle there in a nice run there from Mark.

Yeah, but the battle of

the mark there and mark mark Oscar Veric is able to win that one.

And I mean he caught that on the left side dodged the defender and then took it all the way to

the right and broke a few tackles along the way.

Steve, you talked about him before the game.

You said I've really had a lot of fun watching.

Ask Verichek lately and we're seeing some of that elusiveness that he has.

He's so shifty, you know, and you got a smaller body.

He just leverages it to his advantage.

Three receivers left one right ball hike.

Ethan look left calls.

throws a slant, Cole Kraus off

his arm.

Luckily it wasn't picked.

It almost fell into the hands of the defender.

I mean, back there.

Kudos to Ethan.

It looks like he's really delivering accurate passes now pretty consistently, but we've had three big time drops.

Yeah.

You

just can't have those.

And you know, Shwama and Steve, let's talk a little bit about the numbers out here.

I'm counting about 30 kids here.

Open the Schwammigan team and how nice is that?

Yeah, big football program like to see it.

Good involvement and

see where it goes from there.

Yeah.

6 minutes to go here in this ball game 46 to nothing is the score.

Ethan is shotgun looking for a receiver getting chased in the backfield has to cut it up throws it delivers it number 81 is able to catch it run forward is going to be short of a first nice play there.

Oh my gosh, but Ethan.

deliver the ball while getting tackled.

Great throw, great catch.

Yes.

And a lot of kids I'm seeing getting rotated in, Dalton Warren, the freshman here for the loggers playing on a defensive line.

He was in there for a play coming back out and coming to here now.

Carsten Richling, another freshman coming in here and we're seeing a mixed in a little bit getting their opportunities.

We've got over on this right side, Jake Holmstead, the sophomore.

Playing this corner back on this right side and there's a lot three receivers on this right side or left side over here and a quick pass is gonna be Mark Mark and a nice beautiful tackle just coming in the game Jake Holmstead

Man, I like that pass development mark.

That

was

a beautiful pass Those

are the ones you practice because it's like you tell mark when you turn the ball is gonna be in the air He turns he catches it and he makes a move.

You love to see it You do five minutes to go 46 to nothing

Valgawell and Lager territory at the 35.

Three receivers now on the right side, one left.

Ethan and Shotgun.

And that's going to be underneath the quarterback.

He picks it up and unfortunately he picked it up as Nia is one of the ground and at this level of play that

is immediately a down play.

I thought there was going to be maybe some jump on line up there.

It wasn't.

That ends up being about a 5-10, almost a 15-year lock.

I do think the loggers kind of got away with that one.

That looked like a neutral zone infraction.

I'm not going to see your complaining.

Honestly, the reps have done a great job today.

They really

have.

We're very thankful for them to be able to sacrifice their night and come out here and make sure we can play some football.

Yeah, definitely.

They've done a nice job in not

just keeping this

game rolling here.

Yep,

so

three receivers right now.

One left Ethan shotgun at midfield.

Got to make up a lot of yards.

Picks the spot throws it deep and that's

gonna get a penalty there.

There

it is

on Trayvon crystal over there on that right side Trayvon he works for me as well.

He's gonna hear about this one next next week But he kind of wraps them up as he was going maybe honestly Steve a smart play because I felt like he was about to get burned Oh, yeah, and

he

kind of grabbed them and held them

up.

Well, it's

Now I mean I wasn't sure if that was a mistake by the corner or if a vet moved by the receiver kind of running into the guy and either way you got the defensive pass interference that's going to change it to a first down there.

I'm surprised they stopped the clock here running clock supposed to be going on here.

I think the refs needed to confer on something and so I think they stopped it because it's not a usual play or like up you

know.

10-yard

penalty on a pass interference is going to move

up.

I forget.

Yeah, I forget that it's not the spot of the foul.

It's just a 10-yard automatic.

And it's not enough.

It is automatic first down?

Yep.

It doesn't look like it's setting up the chains for it.

Yeah, he called first down.

That's what I thought he did.

Well, we're balling at second and 15.

Yeah, second 15 is what it is.

350 to go and counting.

Ethan throws it quick.

That was Ethan threw it way behind Nathan.

This is such a touchdown opportunity.

There's one defensive back over here.

I'm not sure what's going on.

I mean.

The flat was so open.

It was ridiculous.

And if Ethan saw that one, I'm not kidding.

He might have had a chance for a touch.

Yeah, everyone was chasing the receiver to the right.

OK, well, you got a gift there.

It's now third down.

Well, the board's the second guy says third.

We'll find out what it is when the rest tell us.

Going deep through the middle.

Mark Oscar.

Eric wasn't ready for it on the post route and it falls incomplete.

And

a fourth down coming up here

potentially.

There we go.

OK, fourth down and in a spot at the 41 yard line, they're going to go for it.

I mean, at this point, like I said, the game's lost, but now it's just reps.

You get out your plays.

We're running new route combinations and see what works.

You know,

all right.

three receivers to the left now on the rollout

throws it.

Nate Nichols off his hands.

Nate Nichols could have made a big play right there.

He's got a couple freshmen in front of him and a full head of steam if he makes that catch.

Once again, most likely it was going to be a turnover on downs, but if he caught that that was at least seven yards.

So it's like you take that play and you just got to catch those.

I'm seeing a lot.

This is like what five drop passes in the second half here and that's just

really rough to see.

Yep.

and 220 to go here and counting 46 to nothing is a score here.

Philip vloggers leading turnover.

Change of possession here turnover on down that's going to be first in 10 for the loggers well from their own 39 yard

running clock here.

You probably got what three plays left in this game.

Sure.

Alright, everyone bunched up here shotgun ball hike and a bobble, but he has it.

He's going to go left gets by about nobody.

He gets sacked at the backfield

loss of one

there.

So

I'm again going to pick up the sack there.

I believe that was number 64.

We've he's been in on a few plays Dawson Schmidt.

OK, sounds good minute 45 to go here.

And a lot of the backups in here.

Caden Borghan still in this game here.

He's going to get some reps at quarterback.

He's our future.

Over here and he's got a lot of nice young sophomores to play with.

All right.

They got a guy kind of floating off the right, but he's still kind of tight in the package there.

He's on motion.

It's going to be a no lock on

that

left

side wrapped

up and just

swallowed up in the backfield and not easy to this defensive line here breaking through here right now.

The field position

is really what killed the Eagles in the second half here.

because they couldn't overcome it.

Your defense line overall played a pretty good game, but when you only need 15 yards or 10 yards or 20 yards for a touchdown, it's just so difficult to stop

it.

It really was.

That was the difference maker

in

this game.

It felt like scoring opportunities were a lot easier for the loggers than it was for shawarma.

Well, and they earned that,

right?

It's not if they were pressured in the ball, forced in turnovers, doing great sacks, you know, they're doing a great job here tonight, but really

good, complete game by the loggers.

Alright here 40 seconds to go here.

Morgan in the backfield from the shotgun by himself.

He's going to keep it go right side.

And pick up nothing.

Maybe a yard maybe got ahead and with that 30 seconds left and that should just run it all the way.

Yeah, it's going to

be a fourth down coming up here.

That is going to be the final score here.

20

seconds to go and they're going to run a play call in.

I don't know if they're going to run one or not.

Probably not.

I don't think they need

to do that.

I don't think they need to either.

And so with that, the Swamigan Screaming Eagles are going to have now eight quarters without a score and see if they can't get a touchdown next week.

We're going to have

Steve,

but I'll pull it up here in a second.

But until then the score is 46 to zero.

And that's a lot of errors.

Yeah, field loggers coming in to Parkfall saying this is our field.

And

we'll see you next week.

Hey, it's the longest season.

It's their game here to win.

They're going to shake hands at the middle of the field here, but that's the final score.

46-0.

Hey, Steve, we're going to send it back to 98-Q country and on the Civic Media app for a two-minute timeout.

We're going to come back and give you the forward bank post-game show.

Jeff Hacon and along with Steve Jettlin and Nathan Padawilts here in the background, helping out what do we call production manager, Nathan Padawilts.

back here but it's been a fun night it's been a really nice night meet Steve being able to do this together Steve we're usually in different towns every Thursday every Friday and tonight a real nice night we get to kind of get together and do this together it was a lot of fun and you know we got to get a little view of you know both sides of it a little insight from Schwamm again a little insight

from Phillips, but what a nice crowd here tonight.

What a nice atmosphere.

Shawamagan has just a great football atmosphere with the lights on, a beautiful night.

46-0 was the score.

Lagers won this game, but if you didn't have that score out there, it would have felt like maybe more like a 20-point win for the Lagers.

It didn't feel like a 46-0.

Oh, they were battling it out every play.

Yeah, big plays at bad time, bad penalties at bad times, and I think the hardest part

For Swamigan, they couldn't come over the field possession.

Oh,

field possession is king.

The loggers in the third quarter, they got a 15 yard drive, a 12 yard drive, like a 26 yard drive, like back to back to back.

It was

three touchdowns of 50

yards total.

Yeah, I know.

And you're just like, wow, that was actually amazing.

Yeah.

And, you know, and, and during, and I think the bigger part was that because the first quarter, the first half, the loggers had a lot of penalties.

There was no penalties during that time.

Yeah.

So that not only did they have short field field position.

They

played

a

clean

game.

It was Kenny Drexler coming away with four touchdowns in this ball game.

And McCoy DeLasky, he has been so close to getting a Jeff Hicken and Ruffian player of the game.

It's coming for him.

I can smell it.

But tonight it was Kenny Drexler having his way four touchdowns on offense.

You know, Trace Calhoun got hurt.

That's a tough one for the loggers.

Wade Vedder's out from last game.

That's a tough one for the loggers.

And somehow, some way, they managed to muster up 48 points.

It's coming together.

Next man up, type of a thing here.

And Caden Borgen came in.

He had a nice game here tonight, playing the quarterback position.

And McCoy-Dulaski, some huge runs in the backup, backup, backup, running back position.

Looking into the week, the next week, both of our teams have home games.

Rib Lake will be here in Park Falls here on the 18th.

And then that's Wableno.

Leona

Wabino, they're going to come.

So they're the new one in our conference.

And they'll be here now.

And they'll be in Phillips.

Now, both those games will be happening.

That's Friday.

Friday night.

18th at 7 p.m.

for both those games.

Friday night lights.

Hey guys, we had a blast.

We hope you did too.

Thanks for tuning in to us here tonight for Jeff Haken and Steve Jettlin and Nathan Padawals.
