Chali Pittman has joined the company as our News Director. She spent a dozen years in community and nonprofit newsrooms, and much of that time in leadership. Most recently, she was the News, Talk & Public Affairs Director at WORT 89.9 FM, Madison’s community radio station. She maintains that skepticism and curiosity are a reporter’s best assets. Jennie Brand is our new Community Engagement Manager. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of creative strategy, politics, and local advocacy, Jennie leads engagement efforts that center storytelling, inclusivity, and civic action. Through her creative social media platforms, she continues to uplift underrepresented voices and share cultural commentary rooted in community experience.
Lucas Hunt is now a Digital Content Producer at Civic Media. Several years of experience working in local news across the Midwest sharpened his ability to get to the heart of what local communities care about most. Lucas assists all digital teams with curating news, often making contributions writing, editing, and proofreading articles, as well as refreshing all social media platforms daily with the latest news.
