Quarry Lake Park closed to the public on June 23rd due to safety concerns related to a less visible underwater drop-off near the beach. Recent changes in water conditions have made the area potentially hazardous.

To improve safety and accessibility, the city is moving forward with park upgrades that will reshape the shoreline and address aging infrastructure.

The park is expected to reopen in late July or early August. In the meantime, beach access, swimming, and fishing are not allowed.

The Karen A. Nelson Dog Park remains open to visitors during the closure.
