Who’s ready for the weekend? Monday is Memorial day and we all need to take some time to reflect and thank those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Here’s some of what went down this week on the show.

  1. Music, tons of great music!
  2. A 5 year old in Pennsylvania got in some trouble when he brought some jello from home to share with his kindergarten classmates. Problem was, it was jello shots! No kids were hurt but his mother had some explaining to do about how he got his hands on the “treats”.
  3. The U.S. Department of Energy says we should have our a/c units set at 78 degrees in our homes, to save money and energy. (can we check the offices in D.C. to see what THEIR thermostats are set on?)
  4. Grilling a Twinkie is a thing. (you bet I’m trying it this weekend!)
  5. The vast majority of cellphone users ‘panic’ when their phone charge falls below 38 percent.
  6. $104. That’s the amount of cosmetics the average woman carries in her purse. (my wife doesn’t. If she did she wouldn’t have room for my stuff)
  7. Did you know it’s ok to use a coupon on a “first date”? It is!

We did that and more. Have a great weekend and let’s do it again next week! Have a fantastic weekend.

Mike McKay
Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
