Another great week! Here’s just some of the things we did on the radio.

  1. Mucho music!
  2. Personal care brand Billie launched an outdoor advertising campaign for its All Day Deodorant. They had posters of armpits in New York City that you can “scratch and sniff”. Billie claims it’s a huge success.
  3. Speaking of deodorant, 14 percent of men say they never use it.
  4. Carnival Cruise Lines has banned 20 people from ever sailing with them again after a huge fight broke out. The cruise line said “there’s no place for that type of behavior on our ships”. (thanks for the reminder!)
  5. 30 percent of couples say they don’t sit next to each other when they fly. (keeps them from arguing over who gets the window seat)
  6. A 27-year-old mountain climber had to be rescued TWICE from the peak of Japan’s Mount Fuji. He was stranded on the mountain when he lost some equipment and was feeling sick from the altitude. 5 days later he had to be rescued again when he went back to fine his phone that he left behind during the first rescue. He’s been asked to not climb Mt. Fuji anymore. (perhaps he should give up mountain climbing forever)
  7. Two police officers in India were suspended after they signed out two inmates from jail. They said they wanted to “question” the inmates but ended up going to a bar and drinking for 7 hours. (I understand the inmates were really good at throwing darts!)

Thanks for letting me spend some time with you on the radio. Let’s do it again next week!

Mike McKay

Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
