I shared this story on the air. United Airlines recently had to ground some of their planes because of a rule still in place by the FAA. The rule stated that pilots on a commercial plane must have a working on and off switch for the No Smoking Sign. Yes, the pilots needs to be able to turn the no smoking sign on and off from the cockpit even though we haven’t been allowed to smoke on a plane in decades. Don’t get wrong, I’m all for rules and regulations in the airline industry but I’m leaning towards making sure wheels don’t fall off on takeoff, doors don’t ‘blow off’ at 30,000 feet or that passengers can open the emergency door in-flight. By the way, that rule is being reviewed and will no doubt be dropped by the F.A.A. Of course I mean the rule about the No Smoking sign, not the wheels need to stay on during takeoff. Make sure you listen every weekday morning from 6am-10am, and I’ll keep you informed!

Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
