Kujichagulia Madison Center for Self-Determination invites the community to the Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony at the Madison City-County Building on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM. The flag raising is a brief but meaningful tradition, a public declaration that this history matters here. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

The ceremony marks the official start of this year’s Juneteenth season and the City and County’s recognition of the 160th anniversary of Juneteenth. This year’s theme is Black Resilience: Celebrating Our History and Presence.

The flag raising ceremony will take place at:
