Winter sports see divisional changes

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln will see new beginnings in the coming school year as they change divisions across several sports.

It was announced that the Raiders will be in Division 2 for Football this past winter, but the gridiron is not all.

The Raiders will be in Division 2 in boys hockey and in gymnastics.

It marks the first time that Rapids will be in Division 2 for both football and hockey, while gymnastics will be returning there to Division 2 for the first time since 2025.

Divisional placement is dependent on enrollment and competitive balance points that a team can accumulate over a three-year span and can move up to a larger division if a success threshold is met.

Bucks look to deal Giannis

After winning the No. 10 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks are listening to trade offers for the former MVP and their former first-round pick in 2013, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The past couple of years have seen Antetokounmpo miss significant time due to injuries as rumors have swirled that Milwaukee was looking to deal their star player.
