WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Multiple pets perished in a house fire at 1739 Mt. Vernon Street in Oshkosh Wednesday evening.

Fire crews were sent to the two-story wood-frame house just before 6 pm. Fire was visible on all four sides of the home. No one was at home at the time of the blaze.

The fire department did not comment specifically on how many pets were killed in the fire. The fire remains under investigation.
