The Community Center of Hope Food Pantry invites the public to check out their Pantry and Community room space at an Open House on Thursday, May 7, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., at their location at 607 13th Street, Mosinee, WI.

The event will give guests of all ages an opportunity to learn more about what Community Center of Hope is doing in Marathon County, while celebrating another year of service with volunteers and community members. Community Center of Hope will also be collecting food and personal hygiene/cleaning products during the open house to stock the shelves for the summer months.

The Open House will feature tours, refreshments, and door prizes. Director Amy Bergstrom will have information on the new “Bridging the Gap Initiative” which began January 2026. This initiative helps those in a higher income bracket, but are considered part of the ALICE
(asset limited, income constrained, employed) population of Marathon County.

“This year has already presented some unique challenges for those in this area. First, the announcement of decreasing operations at the Ahlstrom Mosinee Paper Mill, then Ruby’s Pantry closed unexpectedly. Then just a few weeks ago we had many families impacted by the storms. These hardships may be new to the groups of people impacted, and we want
them to know we are here for them,” said Bergstrom.

Founded in 2005, the Community Center of Hope has become a vital resource for families and individuals in Marathon County by providing nutritious food, hygiene and cleaning products in a judgement-free atmosphere.

The event is free and open to the public.
