On Sunday, April 26th, at approximately 8:41 a.m, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that Katherine Oswald (68) of Wauzeka, Wisconsin, and her dog had been struck by a motor vehicle while walking along Rhein Hollow Road in the Township of Wauzeka.

The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene. Oswald and her dog sustained injures, and she was airlifted from the scene.

During the investigation, it was determined that Donovan Bruns (31) of Wauzeka, was the driver and he was operating his green 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. Bruns and his vehicle have been located, and he has been arrested on charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Reckless Driving Causing Great Bodily Harm, Duty Upon Striking Person, and Felony Obstruction.
