KENOSHA — Blue House Books will host author Jonathan Stutzman and illustrator Jay Fleck — the creators behind the Tiny T-Rex series — for a family event Saturday, May 9, celebrating their new picture book, “Uh-Oh, Hugo!,” according to the bookstore.

The event is scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Blue House Books in downtown Kenosha. Organizers said the program will include a read-aloud, a live drawing demonstration, audience Q&A and a book signing.

Casey Larsen, general manager at Blue House Books, said the store is aiming to make the event interactive for young readers.

“We love hosting events that get kids excited about books in a hands-on way,” Larsen said. “Between the read-aloud and the live drawing, this one’s going to be especially fun!”

The event is free, but an RSVP is required, organizers said. Attendees will be able to purchase copies of “Uh-Oh, Hugo!” at the event, and Stutzman and Fleck will sign books afterward.

Reservations are available through Blue House Book’s events page.
