Bucks Health and Wellness program

The Milwaukee Bucks Foundation aims to promote healthier behaviors through the Bucks Health and Wellness program, which delivers comprehensive obesity care. We also work to build stronger communities through targeted neighborhood investments in economic development, housing, youth and food access. By combining innovative approaches with community partnership, we aim to improve the well-being of underserved communities throughout Milwaukee where resources are most needed.

Former Bucks owner Senator Herb Kohl laid the foundation for the team’s commitment to giving back. His dedication to improving the lives of Milwaukeeans inspired our work. The Milwaukee Bucks Foundation built on this commitment and was formally launched in 2016, with the goal of making a greater impact on the community through charitable initiatives. Under the leadership of team co-owners, the Foundation has become a driving force in addressing community disparities and creating opportunities for those in need.

Our innovative obesity program provides fitness, nutrition, coaching, and personalized care to help participants achieve lasting results on their path to health and wellness. Broader community investments expand access to housing, food sovereignty, and early learning, while also revitalizing community spaces and resources. By pairing program innovation and a community-centric approach, we create sustainable opportunities that improve lifelong well-being, equity, and opportunity across Milwaukee.

The Bucks Foundation has revitalized education, built affordable housing, and expanded access to fresh food and clinics in targeted communities.
