The Richland School Board heard a report from McKinstry on Capital Improvements at last night’s (Wednesday) meeting. Around 500 total assets, which included HVAC, electrical lighting, plumbing, roofing, the building exterior, pavement, interior finishes, and non-facility equipment were inventoried and surveyed on-site by McKinstry. Maintenance staff was interviewed on building history, and asset performance. Photos were taken for documentation and further analysis. Some key take aways from the report were: Capital improvements from recent referendum moves many capital items out of the10-year range; and referendum work in 2025 and 2026 lowers expected costs in the near term. However, capital needs escalate over time. Years 1 and 2 costs total $1.7 million, growing to $5.2 million in Years 3 through 5, and $10.5 million in Years 6 through 10, indicating aging infrastructure requires increasing investment..

Following the presentation by McKinstry, the board approved a 10 year plan costing $17.3 million.

The Richland School Board also approved:

The resignation of Ashley Westerfeldt, RCHS Family and Consumer Education Science, effective at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.

The RCHS Course Description Guide for the 2026-27 school year.

The private school attendance areas for the 2026–27 school year and acknowledge compliance with transportation notification requirements under Wisconsin. Statute.

Hours for 2026 Summer School.

The 2026-27 HIVE and PARTNER handbooks.
