KENOSHA, Wis. (WRJN) – Kenosha police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a homicide early Wednesday morning on the city’s south side.

Officers were called to a home in the 7400 block of 22nd Avenue, where they found a woman dead inside. Police have not released the victim’s name.

Investigators have identified 33 year old  Marckus L.A. Plaza as a person of interest. Police said Plaza is a Black man about  5-foot-6 and 190  pounds. He was last seen wearing dark-colored sweatpants and a white tank top and is believed to be on foot in the area.

Authorities believe Plaza may be trying to find transportation out of Kenosha. He is known to have ties to both the Kenosha and Lake Geneva communities.

Police are urging residents near  75th Street and  22nd Avenue  to use caution and call  911 immediately if they see anyone matching Plaza’s description.
