Ingredients (aka The Chosen Ones):
- 3 pieces of ham (the holy trinity)
- Cooked pasta
- Corn (kernel squad reporting for duty)
- Cheese (as much as your conscience allows… then more)
Instructions (with late-night wisdom sprinkled in)
Step 1:
Chop up the ham into bite-sized pieces.
Or don’t. Big chunks just mean “rustic.” That’s a cooking word.
Step 2:
Throw the ham into a pan and heat it up.
Listen for that sizzle… that’s the sound of bad decisions turning good.
Step 3:
Add in your cooked pasta and corn. Stir it around.
At this point it’ll look like a confused casserole that lost its way home.
Step 4:
Dump in a generous handful of cheese.
If you think “that’s enough,” your 2:30AM self disagrees.
Step 5:
Keep stirring until everything is hot and the cheese melts into a glorious mess.
If it sticks a little, that’s called “pan flavor” and we respect it.
Step 6 (optional but bold):
Let it sit for a minute so the bottom gets a little crispy.
Now you’ve accidentally invented texture.
Serving Suggestions:
- Eat it straight from the pan like a night-shift champion
- Or put it in a bowl if you’re pretending to have your life together
Final Thoughts:
It’s salty, cheesy, slightly sweet from the corn… and somehow feels like something a diner would charge $12.99 for if they gave it a name like “Midnight Harvest Skillet.”
If it turns out amazing… you’re a culinary outlaw.
If it doesn’t… well, the fridge will forgive you tomorrow.
