The Richland Hospital and Clinics welcomes Julie Connor, MD, as a resident physician seeing patients from March 24 through April 9. A medical resident is a fully licensed physician who has completed medical school and is now gaining advanced, hands‑on training in a supervised clinical setting. Residents work directly with patients- listening, diagnosing, and providing care- while collaborating closely with experienced attending physicians and care teams to ensure high‑quality, compassionate care. This model allows patients to benefit from both fresh clinical perspectives and seasoned medical expertise.

Dr. Connor earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Vermont, where she researched the influence of pain on the development of mental health disorders. This work helped shape her interest in clinical research, behavioral health, and the important connection between physical and mental health. Her rural family medicine rotations played a role in defining the broad scope of practice she envisions, including caring for newborns, older adults, and everyone in between. She is passionate about promoting wellness and providing comprehensive, patient‑centered care. Her clinical interests include obstetrics and women’s health, rural health, behavioral health, integrative medicine, and office procedures.
