Milwaukee Native Nyesha Stone Accepted into Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business Program
Nyesha Stone, Founder and Publisher of the national positive news company Carvd N Stone, has been accepted into the prestigious Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program, a national initiative created to close opportunity gaps and invest $10 billion in capital and $100 million in philanthropic support for Black women over 10 years.
The Black in Business program provides Black women entrepreneurs with access to business education, executive coaching, mentorship, and a powerful national network of Black women founders. Since the launch of the initiative, a little over 1,000 Black women entrepreneurs nationwide have participated in this highly competitive program.
Stone will travel to New Jersey for an in-person orientation at Goldman Sachs’ office in March, followed by several months of virtual programming. The experience will conclude with a graduation back in New Jersey in July.
Founded in 2017 while Stone was a student at UW-Milwaukee, Carvd N Stone has grown into a multi-platform, national positive news company that is currently partnered with Amazon. Through original positive storytelling, community events, scholarships, and business partnerships, Stone has built a company dedicated to covering credible original positive news.
“Being accepted into this program just means that I am on the right path, and that positive news is a viable and sustainable business model,” said Stone. “Business programs like this give me the direct business insight individuals get from attending business school or working in corporate.”
