In honor of Black History Month, Michelle Luckett Pitts, Jerusalem MBC Church Director, collaborated with designer Mario Dickens of Mario Dickens Creations, and together they created a Museum of Black leaders from Wisconsin and the United States. Complete with a lunch counter, bathrooms for colored and white people, and water fountains, a film rotating powerful Black stories of the past in black and white, while the music of Marvin Gaye and other Black musical legends plays overhead.

Nestled in the heart of historic Arlington Heights, the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church proudly stands. Founded by the late Reverend Dr. Donnie Sims and Mother Nealie Sims in 1957, Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church is now led by their daughter, Michelle Luckett Pitts, owner of the New Pitts Mortuary.
