High School Sports nearing tournaments.

The end of the regular season of the high school sports winter calendar is nearly here with teams on the verge of tournament action.

Assumption/Port Edwards wrestling is the first one on the ledger as they have the Marawood Conference tournament on Saturday, January 31 at Athens High School.

Riverkings messed with by Squatch.

It was a tough weekend for the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings as they hosted the Minnesota Squatch over January 23 and 24.

The Squatch outlasted Rapids in the opening game 2-1, but then took care of business for the weekend sweep with a 5-0 victory.

Rapids gets back to action over January 30 and 31 when they host the Minnesota Blue Ox with 7:00pm puck drops both nights.

Rapids is 3-0 against the Blue Ox this season having won by scores of 5-1, 5-2, and 4-3.

Super Bowl Pairing set.

The final game of the 2025-2026 NFL season is upon us and the contestants for Super LX in Santa Clara, California are finalized.

The New England Patriots represent the AFC with the Seattle Sea hawks being the representative of the NFC.

This is the first time since 2014 that Seattle has reached the Super Bowl, while 2018 was the last time for the Patriots.

The teams have met in the big game once before, in 2014, when New England won 28-24.

Milwaukee sports hit with trade and talk.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks are big players in trade talks in their respective leagues with the Brewers sending pitchers Freddie Peralta and Tobias Myers to the New York Mets for infielder Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat.

For the Bucks, star Giannis Antetokounmpo, already at the center of trade discussions, saw the trade talk intensify as the NBA’s trade deadline looms on February 5.
