
Weston/Ithaca picked up a girl’s basketball win 51-12 on Thursday night over North Crawford. The game was played at Weston high school and featured the Silver Eagles taking advantage of turnovers and jumping out to a 27-10 lead at halftime. They built the lead gradually in the 2nd half and got the 40 point clock going with 3:49 left in the game. Weston/Ithaca improved to 4-9 on the season with the conference win. North Crawford fell to 1-13.
The Silver Eagles were led in scoring by Junior Jacey Maxwell who netted 15, while Senior Brooklyn Dickey added 14, Maylee Pluemer had 9, Aspen Young totaled 8, Jenna Hasse hit a three pointer, and Faith Studnicka scored 2. The Bulldogs made 4 three pointers with Dickey making 2 of them.
Brielle Deckert scored 5 for North Crawford including the teams only 3 point basket.
Following the 51-12 win, Ithaca-Weston will now prepare for a game with Kickapoo next week. North Crawford is schedule to play Boscobel on Saturday.
