Krolls East is up for sale, whole milk is coming back to schools, and Give Big Green Bay will give nonprofits a boost
Iconic Green Bay restaurant, Krolls East up for sale
A piece of Green Bay history, the iconic Kroll’s East restaurant is up for sale. Kroll’s East has been serving up butter burgers and chili since 1935 at their Main Street location. The restaurant has different owners than the Kroll’s location near Lambeau Field. Kroll’s East has been owned by the same family for three generations. Kroll’s will reportedly continue to operate as normal until a committed buyer is found.
Whole milk coming back to schools

Wisconsin dairy farmers got a boost from the White House this week as President Donald Trump signed a bill allowing whole milk to be served in schools. The “Whole Milk for Healthy Kids” Act returns whole and 2% milk to school lunches, overturning previous limits on higher-fat milk options for students. Jamie Witcpalek, a northeast Wisconsin dairy farmer from Casco, was in the Oval Office as the president signed the bill. Witcpalek is a member of the Edge Dairy Cooperative. The group says this bill will help keep the dairy market active, which is especially needed now with current low milk prices.

Give Big Green Bay announces 50 recipients
Fifty local non-profits just got a big boost in Green Bay as part of the annual Give Big Green Bay campaign. City leaders kicked off the community-wide day of giving initiative at Lambeau Field yesterday, announcing the 50 groups selected to benefit from the ninth annual campaign. The Green Bay Packers Foundation and Greater Green Bay Community Foundation host the event each year. Organizers say since Give Big Green Bay began less than a decade ago, more than 17 million dollars has been raised, benefiting 154 non-profits in Brown County. The 2026 Day of Giving will kick off at noon on February 25 and run until noon the following day.
