A suspect has been arrested in fatal residential fire.
The La Crosse Fire Department responded early on the morning of November 13th. Fire crews encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions in the residence.
Firefighters addressed the fire and initiated a search of the residence. While conducting search operations, firefighters located a deceased individual inside the residence.
That deceased person was identified as the resident of the home, Alexis K. Pickett, age 27.
Tuesday (Dec. 16) Matthew R. Sierra, age 38, was arrested in connection with the death of Alexis Pickett and her unborn child.
