
Baraboo Police Department Assists in the Safe Apprehension of Milwaukee Homicide Suspect
BARABOO, Wis. (WRPQ) – An on-duty officer with the Baraboo Police Department was contacted by a citizen who provided credible information that a homicide suspect was believed to be traveling to Baraboo to seek medical services.
Acting promptly, Baraboo officers worked in close coordination with the Milwaukee Police Department to verify that the individual, Walter Lorenzo Jones, was wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in the city of Milwaukee. Once confirmation was received, the Baraboo Police Department partnered with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team to develop a tactical plan to safely apprehend the suspect.
Through the combined efforts of all involved agencies, Walter was taken into custody without incident.
Chief Justin Carloni expressed his appreciation for the professionalism and teamwork demonstrated by all departments involved, stating:
