
Riverdale falls short in homecoming volleyball
MUSCODA, WIS (WRCO / WRCE) – Cuba City put on an impressive performance and spoiled Riverdales’ Thursday night homecoming festivities. The Cubans won in 3 sets, 15-12, 15-12, and 15-13 over the Chieftains.
Cheyanne Houtakker had 9 kills to lead the visitors. The Cubans serving was effective. Emma Johl had 4 aces in the 3rd and final set.
Macy McCay had 5 kills and an ace for the Cheiftains. Lilly Bahr scored 2 kills in the 3rd and final set. The Chieftains fell to 2-3 with the loss and Cuba City improved to 5-1.
Riverdale won the JV match 2 sets to 1 with a 15-11 win in the 3rd.
The Chieftains will play at Pecatonica on Tuesday night. Cuba City will appear in the Richland Center tournament Saturday.
