Water main flushing in Richland Center resumes
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Richland Center City Utilities Water Department will again be flushing water mains this week.
The flushing will begin each morning at 7:30. The schedule will be as follows:
- Monday, Sept. 29: the west side of the Pine River that is north of West Seminary Street, North Grove Street, West Side Drive, North Stewart Street, Minor Court, Arbor Lane, US Highway 14 west of the Pine River to Well 8, and the area of the UW Campus, Richland Center High School, and Panorama Court.
- Tuesday, Sept. 30: the west side of the Pine River that is south of West Seminary Street, Cairns Addition, including the area of Schmitt Woodland Hills, Brookview Townhouses, and the area around the old Wastewater Treatment plant on South Orange Street.
Flushing will conclude Friday. During flushing, the entire water system, not just the day’s covered flushing zones, may experience rusty or cloudy water and may have reduced water pressure. The water is safe to drink, but it could discolor clothes when washing.
