OSHKOSH, Wis. (WISS) – A portion of Jefferson Street between East Irving Avenue and East Parkway Avenue will close on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The closure will allow the city of Oshkosh’s Water Distribution Division to make improvements to the city’s water service.
According to a press release, the closure is expected to last one day. However, the city could extend the closure through Oct. 2 if workers encounter emergency repairs or adverse weather conditions.
“To accommodate this crucial work and to ensure the safety of our workers and all residents, traffic on this block of Jefferson Street will be two-way on both sides of the road closure. However, please be mindful of construction signs and any instructions provided by on-site personnel to navigate safely around the affected area,” the press release said.
The city requests that residents allow additional time for the city to move equipment to access driveways in the area.
