RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Residents, families, staff, and community partners of Pine Valley Community Village are being notified that routine water testing at Pine Valley has detected the presence of E. coli bacteria in the water supply.

The health and safety of residents and staff are of top priority.

As soon as the test results were received, officials took immediate precautionary measures, including:

  • Notifying the local health department, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and the Department of Natural Resources.
  • Implementing water safety protocols, including the use of bottled water for drinking and food preparation, bathing and other needs at this time.

Contracts with safe water will continue to supply to ensure the safety of everyone; Providing clear guidance to staff and residents to ensure compliance with safety measures and will arrange for remediation and follow-up testing in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
