RICHLAND CENTER, WIS (WRCO / WRCE) – A reminder that City Utilities of Richland Center Water Department will be doing Water main flushing today (Monday) through Friday (September 26) and Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 3. Flushing, this year, will not take place during overnight hours. Instead flushing will start in the morning at 7:30 and will run through mid to late day to accomplish each day’s area of coverage. This week’s schedule is as follows:

Monday Sept 22 – North Industrial Park back to town along County AA to the City Cemetery Garage at 10th, 11th and 12th Street area.

Tuesday Sept 23 – Allison Park area, North Park to the North end of the City on Allison Park Drive, Collins Drive, Rainbow Drive back to the Campus land.

Wednesday Sept 24 – 4th to 9th Streets and Congress to Cedar Street on the East end.

Thursday Sept 25 – Court to 3rd Street, Congress to Cedar Street and Schmitz Street on the East end.

Friday Sept 26 – Seminary to Kinder Streets East of the Pine River, Congress to Haseltine Court area on the East end including Ithaca Road.

During flushing times, the entire water system, not just the day’s covered flushing zones, may experience rusty, or cloudy, water and may have reduced water pressure. The water is safe to drink but could discolor clothes washing. Storms, or other unexpected circumstances, may extend, or postpone, flushing times or days.
