OSHKOSH, Wis. (WISS) – Today marks the first of several budget listening sessions throughout Winnebago County to learn more about the proposed 2026 county budget.
At each session, Winnebago County Executive Gordon Hintz will give a short presentation highlighting county functions, major priorities, and changes in the budget. The presentation will be followed by the opportunity for residents to ask questions and make statements. Copies of the Budget in Brief booklet will be available. “Transparency and accountability mean making government accessible,” said County Executive Gordon Hintz in a press release. “By listening to residents directly, we can build a budget that reflects community priorities and ensures county government is consistent, fair, and responsible.”
Budget listening sessions
All events will start at 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Fox Cities Campus, enter at Barlow Planetarium – 1478 Midway Rd, Menasha.
- Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Wittman Regional Airport – 525 W 20th Ave, Oshkosh.
- Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Omro Area Community Center,1005 E Main St, Omro.
- Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Winneconne Municipal Center, 30 S 1st St, Winneconne.
- Thursday, Oct. 9 at Neenah Police Department: DJ Forcey Jr Community Room, 2111 Marathon Ave, Neenah.
