Gossman transferred to Vernon County
VERNON COUNTY, WIS (CIVIC MEDIA) – Nathan Randall Gossman, 40 of Canton, MN, has been transferred to Vernon County from the Olmstead County Adult Detention Facility in Rochester, MN, where he has been since his arrest on August 18. Gossman fled on foot from Viroqua Police Department officers last month following a high-speed chase. He is believed to have stolen a dump truck in rural De Soto, which was found in Rochester, MN.
Gossman waived formal extradition proceedings, and he was transported to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center Wednesday (September 10). He appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court late Thursday afternoon (September 11) where a $25,000 Cash Bond was ordered. He is due back in Vernon County Circuit Court on September 23. He is facing nine criminal charges filed by Vernon County District Attorney Angela Palmer Fisher, stemming from the August 15 and 16 incidents in Vernon County under investigation by the Viroqua Police Department and the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
