RICHLAND CENTRE, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – The total revenue shows an expected $28,648,196 with expected expenses of $28,966,061 for a deficit of $317,865. Bosworth said this proposed budget is still very fluid with the new programs being implemented this year. He also gave the report for the current update on proceeds from the bonds.

Revenue from the 2024 $15 million in bonds is estimated at $779,201, and the 2025 $12.16 million in bonds is estimated at $615,088 for total revenue of $1,394,289.

The Richland School Board also accepted the resignations of Shae Klicko as RCHS Social Studies Teacher, and Grant Hying, as RCPS Physical Education Teacher. They also approved the hiring of Ashley Shaw as a Physical Education Teacher at the Primary School, Caleb Mueller as a Technology Education Teacher at RCHS, and Daniel Pulvermacher as a Social Studies Teacher at RCHS.

The board approved the establishment of an Ad Hoc Construction/Capital Referendum Projects Committee consisting of three appointed Board members. This move transfers the authority previously granted to the Buildings, Property, and Transportation Committee to the newly established committee, including authority over vendor bid review and selection and approval of change orders up to the thresholds already approved by the Board. The committee will provide regular updates and recommendations to the full Board at scheduled meetings until the referendum projects are complete. The motion passed on a 6 to 1 vote with Erin Unbehaun, Scott Behling, Jil Sharp, Brian Miller, Tiffany Thompson, and Sheila Troxel voting in favor and Brady Doudna voting against.

The board then approved dissolving all current standing committees of the Board, effective immediately. The Ad Hoc Construction/Capital Referendum Projects Committee will be the only active committee of the Board until the referendum projects are completed. All future committee work will be established through ad hoc committees, with a clearly defined purpose and discharge date, consistent with policy governance practices. This again passed on a 6 to 1 vote with Brady Doudna being the lone no vote.

The board also approved:
Eight open enrollment out applications and one open enrollment in application.

A change order for soil corrections at the Primary School for an amount not to exceed $525,000.

To move the regularly scheduled board meetings for the rest of the 2025-26 year from the second and fourth Mondays of the month, to the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month,  beginning September 24.
And special board meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning September 3 for policy governance review.
