RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO Entertainment) – Welcome to cooking with Hank. Do you have the hunger? If you have an old stick, a possum, and regret, Hank can feed you!

2:30 AM “Possum on a Stick” Campfire Wrap

(No possums were harmed… probably.)

Ingredients:

  • 1 hot dog (or leftover brat from earlier)
  • 1 slice of American cheese (or two if you want to live a little)
  • 1 flour tortilla
  • Ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce — whatever’s open in the fridge
  • Optional: a stick (for campfire authenticity) or just a fork if you’re indoors

Instructions:

  1. Lay your tortilla flat like you’re about to make something fancy… but don’t.
  2. Put the cheese slice in the middle, hot dog on top.
  3. Drizzle with your choice of sauce like you’re decorating a plate at a five-star restaurant… if the chef was mildly unhinged.
  4. Roll it up tight.
  5. If you’re indoors, microwave for about 25 seconds until the cheese melts into a glorious goo.
If you’re outside, poke that hot dog roll on a stick and hold over a campfire until it’s toasty (bonus points if you yell “Yeehaw!” while doing it).
  6. Eat immediately and loudly proclaim it’s the “best thing you’ve ever had” — even if you know better.

Serving suggestion: Works great with a cold can of pop or whatever’s left in the cooler from earlier.

Pro tip: If the cheese drips out, catch it with the tortilla — waste not, want not.
