Tri-City Services 80th Year Celebration
Community members enjoyed food, prizes, and community with Tri-City Services 80th year celebration in July.
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. (WFHR, WIRI) – Tri-City Services 80th year celebration commemorated eight decades of service and partnership in the community. This long-standing business brings heating, air conditioning, and now plumbing services to customers throughout the area. Owner Andrea Jensen and her team hosted a celebration to say thank you to customers and welcome them to their new building.

Tri-City’s new digs at 321 4th Avenue North in Wisconsin Rapids saw between 250 to 300 people on July 25th. Jensen said the crowd was busiest from 10am – 2pm, but they were steady all day. They served burgers, hot dogs, and chips. Johnstone Supply out of Appleton cooked all the burgers and hot dogs. Jensen said Johnstone is one of their favorite suppliers and they joined in to help out the day of. That wasn’t the extent of the food options, though. There was an entire table of baked goods, several sheet cakes, soft serve ice cream with all the topping options, and even a slushy machine.

New Location
Preparing Tri-City’s new location, not only to function as a business, but also to host a party was a lot of work. Jensen says her husband Andy spent nights and weekends there since mid-December. That’s when Tri-City finalized the purchase of the building. The previous owners left behind several large items that needed to be removed before Jensen and the team could move in. Tri-City employees and even Jensen’s father-in-law pitched in, unasked, to help prepare the building for occupancy.

Tri-City Services 80th Year Celebration Success
The employees who work in the office at Tri-City don’t often see the customers face to face. Jensen says it was so nice to put faces to names during the party. They have many conversations over the phone, but don’t get to spend time in their company like the technicians do. “I had so many people that specifically came and sought me out to tell me how happy they are with our technicians and installers, office staff, and just everybody. That was really wonderful and so nice to hear.” Jensen says that while these parties are a lot of planning, it was really fun to connect with customers. It’s likely they’ll do this again for their 85th anniversary in 2030 and beyond.
