Schreiber Peak Beyond 35 Run brings PRIDE to Green Bay
GREEN BAY, WI—(WGBW)— As part of a celebration of PRIDE Month, Schreiber Foods, headquartered in downtown Green Bay, held a fundraising running event for their employees. It is called the Peak Beyond 35 Run.

Joyce Gao is the Co-Chair of Schreiber’s Pride Business Resource Group, which supports and empowers employees to be themselves at work, no matter who they are or who they love. She said the run has a very special meaning.
“The name, Peak Beyond 35, refers to a fear that some folks in the LGBTQ community have that they may not live beyond the age of 35,” Gao said. “So we are here to show them through funding of supportive nonprofits and through putting ourselves through something that’s physically challenging, that we believe that they can peak beyond the age of 35.”
The Peak Beyond 35 Run will raise funds for The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that provides crisis support and peer support services to LGBTQ+ youth.

Michael Vinson, VP of Corporate Affairs, said employees at Schreiber Foods are partners in the business. It is an employee-owned organization.
“It’s really important to us to demonstrate care to all of our partners all over the world,” said Vinson. “During Pride Month, we want to make sure that we are showing up in a way that demonstrates that care and that our partners feel included and valued as a part of our organization.”

Schreiber Foods, headquartered in Green Bay, has more than 40 locations around the globe. It has more than 10,000 global employees.
